The Chiron Program

Port

Glynda had granted Professor Port his wish; The Chiron Program reinstated. He coughed into his hand as he quickly moved down the halls, so great was his excitement that his body was wracked by the coughing fits. But once that blight was firmly wrestled under control Professor Port went back to the scrolls in hand and continued his furious reading.

Legacy Senior, numerous successful missions both with others and solo. Professor Port made a small mark next to Percival Arc's name for further analysis. The boy certainly has skill.

On a whim he scrolled down to Freshmen and he found them again. Four faces only one of which looked like it was happy to have its picture taken.

Team WYLD. Port mused his eyes travelling to the red Exclamation point that denoted new information regarding this team. He clicked on it and a successful mission record was presented before him.

A successful mission already? my my how fast. It was a simple bounty mission accomplished by students Tepes and Yin but still it was impressive they took the initiative. As he looked at the article, he made note of their careful analysis and discovery of his semblance and how they were able to adapt to the loss of their weapons. Very necessary.

That thought brought a harsh chill up Peter Port's spine, his mind conjuring a desperate scramble for ammo while a creature was after him. His hand brushed against his Faithful Blunderbuss; a weapon built to take whatever you gave it and still fire. At the bottom of the report was a reprimand regarding the brutalization of a target without aura.

Not the most honorable but not something Port accounted for when it came to his usual Prey. Professor Pine can worry about that, I have to hunt Grimm.

The Grimm did not feel as men do, and they had far less mercy within them. Professor Port knew better than most that if you felt pity for the Grimm or held back you were doomed for a swift end.

But I am stuck with a lingering one. He thought with a sigh looking over the rest of Team WYLD, they all showed potential and maybe he could help them realize it. He looked at the name and laughed out loud, turning the knob to his office door. Isn't that what you called Cosmic Irony Nicholas?

Port shook his head and laughed to himself as he shuffled to his desk with an enormous leather chair behind it and two smaller leather-bound chairs in front of it. He giddily plopped himself into his chair and tossed aside his hated cane. It was as Port sat down that he saw the person sat in front of him. She scared him so bad he dropped his scrolls.

"Miss Schnee!" He said once he regained his composer and focused his eyes. She smiled at him and he bowed his head in return. "You scared the day lights out of me."

Weiss Schnee rose to her full height, slightly taller than Port himself now that he'd shrunken in his old age. She curtsied to him and he bowed in return. Such was ever the greeting of the Gentleman and Lady.

"My Lady your presence honors us." Weiss's lips twitched upward slightingly at Port words.

"I see that Beacon is still wise enough to keep one of its best Professors on staff after all these years." Her Greeting in return made Peter blush, though luckily his mustache hid most of it.

"Tea?" He asked sitting down and pulling up a kettle he set to warming via a flame dust burner. The Kettle was old and made of a strong metal, there was little delicate about it, but it was practical just as he liked it. Weiss set down something that shocked Port; a new set of teacups.

"A gift for my visit." Weiss said gesturing to the cups and Port saw that they had blue inlays around them depicting the swirls of winter wind and the snowflakes of the Schnee family.

"A most gracious gift from one of my favorite students." Port replied smiling before pouring tea from an old kettle into a new glass. Weiss gracefully took a glass and sipped her tea, Port did the same and there was that long moment of quiet between them as they enjoyed the warmth.

But there is business here and she is no longer my student. Professor Port thought. Were it a year prior he would've enjoyed the illusion as long as he could, but he was a man with less and less time each day, he couldn't afford to hesitate.

" ," He began setting his cup on the table. "As pleasurable as your company is, I have a feeling you've not come here just for my pleasant presence. What are you here for?"

Weiss smiled, her dual scars shifting under her grin. She looked away from him obviously composing her thoughts, participating in the long held Atlessian Tradition of dancing around the subject.

She is your Granddaughter Nicholas. Port thought to himself.

"How is Yin doing in your classes?" Weiss asked with sincerity. Port smiled at the diversion but played along, himself enjoying the subject.

"Young Yin has already shown promise, her whole team has in fact." Port answered remembering Yin's insight into the Grimm mindset. "Of the few classes she's had she's shown enormous great potential as a huntress."

"That's my girl" Weiss muttered trying to hide it behind her tea rim.

"And she possesses fine manners when speaking to me"Port added, causing Weiss Schnee to grin once more. "And I must congratulate you on raising a fine upstanding young lady."

Weiss laughed giving her tea a sip and pouring more into port's glass. As the laughter lessened her face became far more serious and she steadied herself, breathing in and when she breathed out her breath was frosted cold.

"Peter, may I make a request of you?" She said quietly. Port nodded without hesitation. "I need you to give me your word as a huntsman that you will be one hundred percent honest with the question I'm about to ask."

"I swear as a huntsman and a gentleman I'll be completely truthful." Professor Port said laying a hand on his weakened chest. "I will be the spirit of honesty itself."

That quieted the beast roiling inside Weiss Schnee for a moment. Port was bound by a code that only a few huntsmen still followed today, he was of the old guard and he knew that Weiss Schnee was of that same class of huntsman.

"Were you in Ozpin's inner circle?" Weiss looked him dead in the eye as she asked that, a dreadful fury ready behind her gaze ready to spring out.

Professor Port tilted his head in confusion at the question.

Inner circle? What on Remnant does she mean?

"I was one of the senior staff if that's what you mean." Port offered in way of answering. "Although we were never referred to as 'the inner circle' what a strange name."

Weiss visibly relaxed at Port's evident confusion to the question, breathing out a slight sigh.

"What I mean is…" Weiss began. "Were you a member of Professor Ozpin's Circle that knew about what was really going on behind the scenes? That knew about Salem?"

That name did bring a chill to the room, Team RWBY had… dealt with the Grimm woman Salem long ago but her terror was still felt across Remnant. Her existence had been a shock to professor Port as much as anyone on Remnant. The first clue of that Woman's existence had been Yang's broadcast.

"No" Port answered shaking his head. "I wasn't in the inner Circle that knew about… that knew. On my word as a gentleman, I didn't know."

Weiss stared at him for a minute before she smiled and lifted up her tea to her lips and took in a sweet drink.

"Thank you, Peter," She said softly. "You always were an honest man."

Port looked down at his desk and thought of the tomes within and what things he knew about, had known about for years.

"Honest men are not without their secrets." He said quietly and now it was Weiss' turn to look confused. The judgement she gave him with that gaze was peculiar.

"Are you Certain Professor?" Weiss went on as if she'd misheard Port, half laughing as she did. "Someone as honest and boisterous as yourself seems incapable of great secrecy."

She laughed but Peter Port did not laugh with her, and upon seeing his seriousness she composed herself.

"I must apologize for my rudeness" She said with true sincerity, laying her hand upon her own chest. "Please forgive me, Professor Port."

"Peter is fine ." Port replied wishing to break some formalities. "And you are of course forgiven."

The energy had left him, and he felt his age, his knees hurt, his breathing was more rasping when he got excited and his vision was weakening. A part of Peter Port knew that he could ill afford to waste time on certain pleasantries.

"Ours is a dangerous profession ." Peter began solemnly, his fingers drumming on the table's old oak surface. "Professor Ozpin may have kept secrets from those who helped him, I still consider him a good man, but we're far from the same."

Professor Port got up and walked around his desk before going down on one knee and taking Weiss' hand in his own.

"I swear to you," He began with all the strength in his considerable chest. "I will train young Yin to the best of my abilities and while I cannot promise her safety, I will never lie to her. On that you have my word."

Weiss Schnee just stared at him, clearly processing his words. Port was unsure how she was going to react, recoil from him, strike him, take her daughter out of Beacon and instantly demand a duel. Whatever she was going to do Professor Peter Port was prepared for the consequences.

I will not shirk from such discomfort. Port Swore internally.

But instead of attacks and retribution Weiss slipped her hand out of his and embraced him. She pushed his old face into the fur lining of her coat, and he felt thin strong arms around him. The strength surprised Peter but it was familiar in its own way.

She is your true heir. He thought returning the hug.

"That is all I can ask Peter" She said, "And all I wanted to hear from you."

Professor Port was shocked by the embrace. So long had Weiss dealt with half-truths and comfortable lies from people that such blunt honestly must have been refreshing.

But a hug seems a rather grand display. Peter thought as the strong arms let him go and he looked at the fine young woman he'd helped train into a fantastic huntress. And a good friend… In all these years I've neglected to see that.

"You are most welcome ." Port says hoping she'd be unable to see how watery his eyes had become. "In fact, with the promise she and her team have shown I've petitioned to have the Chiron Program reinstated."

Weiss looked a bit confused.

"Chiron Program, I'm unfamiliar with that." Her fingers quickly traveled across her scroll noting down the name. the most impressive part of that display was that she never looked away from Port as she typed. "What is it?"

Janus

Chiron Program

That's what the Great big poster said in the middle of the hall. It was huge depicting the minimalist art often found at Beacon with a grey huntsmen standing behind minimalist younger huntsmen and huntresses with a golden crown in the center. This was all topped off with a code to scan for more info. A few other Students were gawking at it near Janus.

Without thinking Janus reached forward took the scan code in her hands and ripped it clear off the poster. Before she could even hear those around her whine and moan she spun on her heel and sprinted towards her dorm, being sure to tear off any more scan codes she saw on posters on her way to the dorm.

This mad whim didn't faze her, as it would in her Wynonna form, because she had an idea. Janus had many ideas in her mind and unfortunately for her sometimes they were half-formed, but what was never half-formed was her passion behind those ideas. So, she kept tearing off the codes and when she burst into her dorm, she had a large stack of them in her arms.

"Guys! I got something to report!" She shouted to the rest of her team who casually looked up at her bursting through the door.

Loga looked down from his bunk where he was sat twiddling his thumbs in abject boredom.

"What?"

"They got a new program here at Beacon," Janus said dropping her pile down on the table. "Came with a scan code."

"But what is it?" Loga asked lazily slinking off his bed, Janus was sure having seen him in combat that this sloth-like affectation he sometimes put on was to give people the false impression that he was lazy.

"No idea looked cool anyway." Janus said whipping out her Scroll to scan one of the legion of tags she'd nabbed. Tepes walked up beside her and scanned another.

"Why did you take all of these?" The Countess inquired; her voice slightly annoyed. Janus had to pause to get her thoughts together.

"I figured if this is a competitive thing, then the less information our opponents have the more advantage we'll have." Tepes raised an eyebrow at that before nodding approval.

"So, Skullduggery is on the menu is it?" Tepes murmured.

"Wait I got it!" Janus said as the scan was able to load. She pressed a button on her scroll and it quickly shifted to projector mode. The poster Janus had seen in the hall was now turned into a three-D holographic object. And a Holographic Face appeared under the crown. The face was blank and only had the barest hint of being male.

"What Questions do you have regarding the nature of the Chiron Program?" The Holographic head said in its mechanical tone.

"What is it?" Loga shouted over everyone, the Head turned to address him and nodded.

"It is a competition," it said as holographic little huntsmen and huntresses did great feats of strength behind it. "Amongst the Teams of Beacon academy to earn the favor of one teacher or another in order to receive personalized training under said teacher. Other Prizes and resources will also be provided depending on the teacher's teaching style."

Janus grinned and as she turned to the rest of her team, she saw a similar grin, though on Tepes it was merely a slight smile. But this was tickling something that existed in all of them, a deep competitive side. Janus knew it well and she could tell that each one of her teammates knew it too. As much as some might deny it they all hungered to be the number one, the huntress or huntsmen who excelled over others, whether it was to prove something to their parent's to forge their own identity or just for the thrill of competition they all had it inside themselves.

"Tells us about the nature of these tests" Tepes order her finger teasing her hairpin. The machine nodded.

"The nature of the tests is up to the individual teacher, in order for them to assess who would most benefit from their tutelage." The Machine put on what one might've been mistaken for a sly grin. "And some tests you will be unaware are occurring."

"Elaborate" Tepes ordered.

"No" Was all the machine said.

"So, we're not just playing against fellow students." Loga filled in.

"We're playing the teachers." Janus finished. Yin stepped forward and grabbed three scan codes before dumping the rest into the trash can and lighting them ablaze with her Glyphs.

Janus quickly switched to Wynonna before rushing towards the smoldering fire. Yin raised a hand to halt her.

"Yin what the Hell are you doing?" Wynonna asked incredulously. Yin just slowly looked up at her the flames causing flickering lights across her face.

"If this is a competition amongst teams, controlling the information as much as possible is what we should do." Yin said frankly. "That's why you ripped off all of these, right?"

"No, I mean why are you starting a fire in our dorm?" Wynonna added slightly embarrassed for her cousin.

"Oh…" Yin said flicking her wrist and crushing the flames in a block of Ice. "Might've been a bit overdramatic there."

Wynonna sighed but still patted her cousin's head.

"Does this mean we're gonna have more work?" Loga asked again playing the fool.

"Probably" Wynonna answered. "But it must be a prestigious opportunity. I'm sure it'll look good to anyone seeking to hire a huntress."

"I wonder if my dad won it." Loga mused turning back to the floating head. "Did team JNPR ever win this prestigious Honor?"

"The Program was not in effect during team JNPR's time at Beacon academy" The Crowned head answered dutifully. That made Loga pause scratching his chin, and the grin came back to him as he laughed to himself.

"Prestigious opportunity you say?" Loga said not looking at the hologram but at Wynonna, she saw a predator in those eyes, but he wasn't hungry for her.

No, We're all in the same wolf pack here.

"It would be something we would have that even the Great team JNPR never achieved." She answered just as predatory.

"What teacher should we aim for?" Loga asked now pacing clearly excited by this new challenge.

"Pine." Tepes answered. "His record makes him come across as a prodigy, perhaps he could awaken similar growth in us."

"I was wondering if Goodwitch is on the table." Wynonna said.

"I was thinking the same thing." Loga replied snapping his fingers and pointing at Wynonna. "I mean she still counts as a teacher right."

As the debate went on Yin remained quiet looking at the Flyer a frown forming on her face.

Yin

About two hours later a school-wide announcement was sounded drawing every student to the auditorium. Many people had headed there assuming that it was somehow in relation to the new posters plastered all around campus, each promising some sort of riches for this Chiron Program. Almost everyone had seen the posters, if not the scan codes, and those who hadn't were too curious not to go.

Yin could smell them all as she headed there with her team. All she had to do was to take a breath and she could catch the scents of Aggression, Avarice and Ambition wafting off them. She didn't dislike them for those feeling, her mother and grandmother had taught her how to balance them once they knew she had these abilities.

I feel those things too, I'm no different than them. Still, as she got closer and the crowd became more and more pressed in around her, she felt somewhat suffocated due to her short stature and the combination of real scents and emotions pressing down on her. Before she could say something, Janus reach down and set Yin on her shoulders.

Yin was about to protest when she just patted Janus' head.

"Thanks Cousin." She whispered.

"I Know." Janus whispered back lifting her hand for a high five, Yin quickly obliged.

The Auditorium was fuller than usual, the last time Yin had seen it this packed was right before initiation. On the raised dais stood Headmistress Goodwitch, to her right was Professor Pine, Doctor Clayman and Professor Amaranthine were behind him. But to Glynda's left stood Professor Port alone, a step too far away from the other professors. Yin pursed her lips as she considered that a member of that beowolf pack was separate from the whole.

Glynda reached forward, giving the mic a gentle tap to quiet down the room. The noises certainly died down as her serious glare swept across the mass of students. Once she had complete silence, she adjusted her glasses and let out a breath.

"as no doubt many of you have seen, we'll be reinstating the Chiron program here at Beacon." That got a few murmurs that quickly quieted. "This was at the request of a teacher here at Beacon, viewing it as a necessary thing to reintroduce to your studies. I am in agreement."

At that moment Professor Port Stood up a tiny bit straighter and was flush with the emotion of Pride.

Port then. Yin noted for later.

"This Program," Glynda went on. "Is available to students of all Grade levels and each teacher." She gestured to the educators standing behind her. "May select up to three different teams to take under their wings, so long as their other duties do not suffer as a consequence."

A hand shot up from the crowd. Glynda looked at it before returning to what she'd been saying.

"Each teacher will be responsible for coming up with tests and challenges when selecting a team to Mentor. Sometimes you'll be fully aware that you are being tested, other times…" She left that unsaid, which of course made the anticipation of the crowd rise. "Official Missions you take outside of Class will be a factor we monitor and will benefit your standing amongst your peers."

Tepes looked up at Yin and they were both glad they had at least one mission under their belt.

But we're at a disadvantage already. Yin thought. The Upperclassmen have a greater access to missions than us.

"Students will be selected one month from Today," Glynda finished. "Good luck to you all."

With that she turned and headed out of the auditorium while other students shouted questions at her and the other teachers. Only a few weren't wasting time doing that. Yin found one Group already leaving, a Golden eared faunus girl was talking to a titan of a man.

Percival. Yin noted as she felt Janus turn around and head towards the exit with the rest of her team. I'm going to get into this mentor Program and I'm going to make it my goal to beat you before this year is over!

Once out of the crowd Yin hopped off of Janus' shoulder and Loga grabbed her wrist dragging her and the rest of his team to an alcove away from prying eyes and listening ears.

"Guys I got it" He announced excitedly.

"Yes?" Janus asked as Yin watched him, he was energetic, and she could tell that his mind was turning with a strange passion behind it.

"We might not know what these challenges are Yet, but we do know where the mission boards are." Loga said Cracking his knuckles as he went. "Back in mistral you didn't need to pull off a big heist to earn a substantial rep, you could just rob a thousand pockets and suddenly everyone wants your skillset."

"I doubt you're suggesting we steal credit." Tepes intoned dryly, Loga laughed.

"No, we take as many missions as possible, if we find two in a similar area, we take them both at once." Loga smiled. "The Upperclassmen might have us on Quality of Mission but we're gonna drown them in Quantity!"

It was a good plan, and everyone knew it. Janus smiled and punched Loga's shoulder.

"I like it." She said. "Let's open the floodgates"

Dark indulgences

The Dance club Mairon was in was one of her favorites in Vale. All around her the music thundered while techno lights flashed and spun the glass floors and pillars changing color in time with the music. Mairon was wearing something skimpy, her red tendrils of hair tied back in a bun with the spikes poking out and a set of glasses resting on the bridge of her nose.

As tight as this bun is. Mairon thought sipping her fruity drink with joy. I'm a single second away from ripping off my glasses and letting my hair run wild like a librarian on her day off.

The Club, according to Mairon's sources, was originally owned by the Xiong family and fell under new management when Hei left for Vacuo. Someone had turned it to a health smoothie place but following Hei's death an unknown buyer bought it back, some say through less than legal means and restored it to its former glory. Mairon was thankful to whoever did that, she hated those hipsterific places and a lost nightclub is a real tragedy.

So, she sat sipping her drink and watching the writhing bodies of the dancers together. They were beautiful, all of them, hypnotic in their movements and so enraptured by either their partners or themselves. Mairon smiled, she knew if she floated over to the dance floor, she could steal the show.

But I wouldn't want to be a spoilsport. She let out a sigh that always sounded like a breathy moan to those near her. She knew she had that effect because she had managed to catch a few blushes from the patrons sitting next to her. Spinning around she glanced at the Ring wrapped around her finger. It was a pale white silver band with tendrils wrapped around a black orb about the size of a chestnut.

If she focused into the Grimm she could see into the Orb and gaze through to her other children out there, her lovelies. Sometimes she would peep in to see if any of her brethren were free, just to talk, to chat with them, and occasionally flirt. She'd made these little Orbs and to look at her latest creation brought old memories back.

Ah Atlas R&D. Those were the good old days when she worked under General Schnee studying Grimm for Atlas military purposes. Such blissful naïve days.

Then one day something truly beautiful had been placed in her lab; a seer orb. From that day her life had changed course for the greater. She smiled at the memory petting her ring and letting some locks of her hair fall gently in front of her eye.

Truly Beautiful. She thought. Such a missed opportunity.

Her pity was reserved for Atlas R&D if they didn't want this glory that was up to them. But Mairon would not be constrained. She saw a handsome man walking away from the bar with two drinks held tight in his hand. As he walked by her, Mairon set her finger on his tanned bicep and he paused in his movement.

He was young, tanned like he was from Vacuo and he had a clean-shaven face. He turned towards her and his cocky face melted away as her flame orange eyes stared into him, he was at a loss for words as he looked upon her.

"I-I uhhhhh" He muttered and Mairon suppressed the urge to giggle at him.

"Kiss me" she whispered breathy and eager. That forwardness almost made him flinch back from her. That was normal.

"I I uh you see, you're very I…" He was becoming flustered rather quickly and Mairon couldn't help but enjoy that little display of embarrassment.

She enjoyed it so much she laughed. So well had she suppressed the mockery in her laughter that the nervous man tried to laugh along with her.

"heheheh yeah it's really…" He trailed off.

Poor lad, his friends dragged him here and he needs help. Mairon batted her eyelashes at him and let her smoldering gaze do all the seducing.

"It's alright." Mairon cooed softly, calming the young fella. "I'm asking you nicely, kiss me please."

That got him sweating but as she stared him down his will broke and he leaned forward closer and closer to her, only to plant a chaste kiss on her cheek then look incredibly sheepish, his whole face blushing.

What a sweet man. Mairon thought as she blushed. She reached forward and brushed the back of her hand down the side of his cheek.

"That was lovely." She said smiling at him and his blush intensified but he smiled back, before shuffling off to join his friends no doubt with a story to tell. He kept glancing back as he walked, no doubt to make sure that Mairon was, in fact, real.

Oh, I'm real sweety, more real than you know. She thought giving him a playful wave he swiftly looked away embarrassed. But my Beautiful form will always bring his eyes back.

Mairon laughed to see it, such was her personal simple pleasure. Turning back to the bar she took another sip from her cocktail and relaxed, allowing herself to enjoy the ambiance. Sure, there was work to do and her brothers and sisters needed it done eventually but you have to take a moment to enjoy everything once in a while.

After all it's gone so quickly, so sayeth the greater brother. She lifted the orb ring and kissed it when something caught her eye in the mirror and a fresh scent reached her senses. She whipped around and saw a beautiful and upsetting sight. The doors to the club were thrown wide open and a pair entered the room, one smoking a cigar the other with golden hair draped down to her waist.

Yang Xiao Long and Roman Torchwick had returned to their establishment. All the wait staff were particularly groveling to them and directed them to a large booth overlooking the whole dance floor with a large red couch and a glass table in front of it.

Oh my God. Mairon thought feeling her cheeks turn red like a schoolgirl finding first love. She was so impressed to see the lost one. Yang draped her arms over the back of the couch while Torchwick rested his feet up on it, they looked like the toughest crime bosses of Vale sat there.

Mairon felt nervous but she simply brushed her hand across her mask hidden in her backpack and the calm clarity of the Grimm came to her. She let out a breath and approached Yang Xiao Long, crossing the dance floor swaying her hips in a sultry manner with every step.

By the time she'd made it through the crowded floor, causing more than a few heads to spin towards her and away from partners, Long had two Cocktails in each hand. As Mairon got closer she got a few tidbits of the conversation.

"…named a drink after you?" Torchwick said gesturing to the big glass of Yellow-orange liquid with a red pool at the bottom.

"Yep it's called a Yang and it's damn yummy," Yang replied with a smile. "You're just jealous there's not one for you."

"Yet!" Torchwick replied indignantly. "I think the mixologist has the hots for you."

"Who doesn't?" Yang said much to Mairon's agreement. As Yang leaned back, she caught sight of Mairon and the Lusty woman did not halt in her approach, merely slowed down a bit.

"What is it?" Torchwick said following Yang's gaze to Mairon. Raising her hands in placation Mairon hoped Yang wouldn't rip her head off immediately.

"Can I help you?" Yang asked confused by this woman's presence, but she didn't attack.

That's a good sign at least.

Mairon fell to her knees in front of Yang bowing her head and throwing out her arms. The sight must surely have been strange to an outsider. But with how the staff here treat them, maybe not.

"I request a truce my lady a moment of reprieve where we might talk." Mairon said reverently, earning a blush from Yang who motioned her to stand up. Such treatment had surprised her.

"Tell me who you are!" Yang growled as she spoke and Mairon stood up quickly.

"I've been a fan of you for a long long while Long," Mairon said with complete sincerity. "Ever since the Vytal Festival."

The mention of that name got Mairon a sharp look from Yang, which was understandable but Mairon waved her hands quickly.

"I always thought you were innocent; I've encountered a few illusionists in my time as well." She said apologetically. "And when you got back to Vale and issued that great challenge to everyone here BRR Chills, pure chills."

That got a mocking laugh from Torchwick who was busy sipping his Drink.

"I mean…" Mairon went on ignoring the lesser creature. "It was just so… you."

"It certainly was her." Torchwick mocked but Yang's eyes went wide for a moment as she stared Mairon down. Mairon could see the wheels turning inside Yang's head until finally the tumblers locked into place and it dawned on her.

"The Answer is still no." Yang said with such an icy chill that Torchwick's laughter ceased. Mairon felt like her heart was in her throat. "It will always be no"

Mairon went quiet before letting out a sigh, she tried to stop it, but she couldn't, the tears started rolling down her cheeks. She could've gone into the Grimm to control these emotions, but she didn't want to, not with one who was her peer, one who was like her and her kin. She kept herself from audibly weeping though and that was enough.

"But we would love you as you fully are My lady" She said again sincerely, pressing her hand to her chest. Now Torchwick had his hand behind his back, no doubt palming a weapon and expecting violence to occur. Yang kept her arms open and exposed, the Grimm metal gauntlets on her wrist were particularly beautiful.

"Either get out of my life or find someone else" Yang said gritting her teeth and looking away from Mairon as if to dismiss her. "You know I helped destroy the great Maestro."

"We know," Mairon pressed on stepping forward her hands lifted. "but we cannot give up the spot to another. It's yours, it always was meant for you!"

Yang whirled towards Mairon stepping out of her booth and slamming her glasses to the table as she did. She towered over Mairon and was larger in more ways than height, most huntsmen rely on aura to boost their strength. Yang Xiao Long was not so lazy, and her strength was legendary.

"I said NO!" Yang roared down at Mairon so loudly that the music stopped and the whole bar went quiet. People were shuffling away from Yang and no wonder, to hear the Grimm voice is a terrifying thing. Torchwick raised his hand and soon the music continued once more in a vain attempt to drown out the awkwardness and fear.

But Mairon was not afraid, she just smiled a warm grin taking in all of Yang Xiao Long in her true Glory.

I heard that Grimm Voice too Xiao Long. Yang seemed to realize it too as she no doubt sensed Mairon's emotions within.

"It's still inside you Yang the Furious, the lady of Wrath."Mairon Said putting her own Grimm into her voice as she spoke to Yang. Yang Growled to herself before sitting back down in her chair. Mairon bowed. "We hope you'll reconsider."

I know you will.
