ArashiNokitsune: yeah, the Ranma-verse is whacky, which is why I look forward to it. As for the characters pairing with Naruto in it, we will have to wait and see. For all I know, he might just be there along for the ride. My amount of stories is why I wish I could use the shadow clone jutsu. I've had a hangover before so I can deal with the mental headache after writing a couple of chapters

Chapter 5: where to begin
Naruto was staring at the sight in front of him. "What am I looking at here? No seriously what am I looking at?"
All of the rookies had gathered in front of the main gate of the Uzumaki compound as they wanted to catch up with their friend who had just come back to their village but also because if they didn't show up, they knew they would be hunted down and dragged to the compound. They weren't the only ones that had arrived, as their senseis were also there.
Kakashi stepped forward and smiled "maa, maa, Naruto. Aren't you happy to see us all gathered to welcome you home?" he patted his hand on the top of Naruto as he was impressed at the increase in size his student went through.
Naruto deadpanned at Kakashi, which was slightly amusing to see what could be seen as a representative of the mighty Kyuubi, giving such a look to a single man. "I'm happy to see you too, Kakashi but what I meant was that." he pointed at both Kiba and Shino with the former clearly hiding from his potential wrath while Shino was standing close enough that he might as well be doing the same.
The both of them were hiding behind Kurenai
Choji looked like he was close to joining them, but he knew there wasn't any room for him.
Naruto could feel his eye twitch at this as he figured they would have had better backbones than this. The thing was that they weren't really using Kurenai as a shield….
*giggle* *clap clap* *giggle*
They were using the baby that was in the woman's arms.
Naruto shifted his gaze to Kiba and deadpanned. "You do know that I'm still going to punish you, right?"
Kiba peaked out from behind Kurenai as he said. "Yeah, but at least this way, you won't go too hard on us."
Kurenai gave a heavy sigh at how her student was using her and Mirai as a way to stave off Naruto's punishment. When she was asked to come along to greet Naruto, she figured that she could use this as an excuse to meet with him as she had a favor to ask him. What she didn't expect was to see a….miniature version of the Kyuubi walking nonchalantly towards her.
~few minutes prior~
Kurenai felt her heart stop for a second as a large multi-tailed fox turned the corner and began making its way towards her till Akamaru barked in happiness and both the canine and Asa ran towards it. The bark jolted her out of her fear and she then noticed Hinata riding on top of the bijuu.
Asuma was no different as he froze at the sight but the bark snapped him out of it and his reaction was to pull out his trench knives, in preparation to defend his family.
But both senseis grew even more confused when Kiba sighed despondently and said
"Well, now that Naruto is here, we can say our prayers."
Kurenai looked to Kiba and asked "'Naruto?'" She looked back to the bijuu, made the connection with the boy and the bijuu walking towards her, and came to the conclusion. "So he is using a transformation to look like that?"
Asuma felt his tension ease up a bit when he heard that it was Naruto in a henge but he still couldn't fully relax as he was still fearful of the beast.
Kiba looked at her in confusion. "Wait, you didn't know?" seeing the look of confusion on his sensei and Asuma's face, he pointed at the oncoming fox. "That fox coming our way is how Naruto normally looks."
Asuma and Kurenai paused at what he said and gave him a look that screamed that he was insane.
Asuma was the one that spoke up. "What do you mean ' how Naruto normally looks'?"
Shino answered the question. "If Naruto hadn't told you, then you should ask him to inform you about the details that led to this. But just know that you should not fear the fox coming our way."
"Especially since you are all standing in front of my compound."
Kurenai and Asuma froze again upon hearing the voice coming from the fox. They both stared dumbfounded as they had recognized that voice from anywhere. Their disbelief grew as they soon realized that Hinata was riding the fox.
"Good afternoon, Kurenai!"
Kurenai shook her head as she heard Hinata speak. She focused on the girl that was waving at her and used one hand to wave back. "Uh…"
"Kurenai's here? Does that mean Asuma is here as well?"
Naruto groaned and turned Ino's tail hammock to the side so she could see Asuma.
Ino lifted her head and waved at Asuma and Kurenai. "Hey, you two!"
Now the two jonin lost all fear and just stared at the ridiculous sight of an eight-tailed fox being ridden by the Hyuga Princess and the Yamanaka heiress using some of his tails as a hammock.
The others thought it was amusing and chuckled a bit at the sight
Asuma fully lowered his trench knives and turned to Kurenai. "I don't know what to say to this."
Kurenai shook her head. "Don't look at me. I am just as confused."
Kakashi patted them on the shoulder and eye smiled. "That's fine. Just know that there is no danger coming our way."
It was at this comment that Kiba hid behind Kurenai and Shino subtly joined him.
~present~
Naruto looked down at the jonin that were looking at him before sighing and looking at the other rookies. "Well, I guess I won't be too harsh with what you did since I don't want to scare the little one in Kurenai's arms."
*giggle*
Naruto looked at the toddler who was reaching out for him. He lowered his head towards it while asking. "So what's her name?" he winced as his snout was now in arms reach and she grabbed onto his lips and start pulling
Kurenai was using all of her training to not show any fear of Naruto who she could now see the sharp fang so close to her baby. Seeing him wince and not retaliate was helping but not by much.
"You don't hath to de ashraid."
Kurenai and Asuma looked at the comical sight of Naruto having his lips stretched and him talking with his teeth clenched.
"I fwaz like this efore I leht. The reason I'n not hiding now is hecause I don't haunt to hide anymore." it was then that his lips were released and he moved them around to get them to stop feeling odd. He looked around and saw that most of the rookies were there. "Looks like everyone is here but since, someone….." he glared at Kiba and Shino who looked away. "Decided to bring in a baby as a shield, knowing that I have a soft spot for kids, I won't punish you too badly…at least till I get you guys into the training room."
As the genin talked, Gai stood next to Kakashi as he sized up the large fox. "It is rather interesting to see a miniature Kyubi speak so youthfully to our students."
Asuma looked at Gai with a look of confusion. "Why arent you freaking out about that. When Kurenai and I saw him, we nearly had a heart attack. I mean I kinda get why Kakashi isn't since he usually always keeps his cool and Naruto is his student, but what's your excuse."
Gai gave him a good-guy pose as he responded. "I was informed by my students about Naruto's appearance some time ago. They had told me that Naruto would look like a large multi-tailed fox and knowing they would not lie to me about such things, I mentally prepared myself for the sight. I will admit that I was a little startled but I have faith in my students."
Asuma and Kurenai sighed as Gai seemed the type to believe almost anything his students would say. Though with the team he had, it isn't that far fetched that they would always tell the truth.
Naruto finished telling them about how he would punish Kiba and Shino for things they did, before he looked at Lee with a small glare. "That means you too, Lee."
Lee looked slightly offended at the insinuation that he had done something to warrant punishment. "My friend, what have I done to earn such ire from you?"
Naruto glared at the boy, which got the bowl-haired boy to move behind Tenten in a way to defend himself but kept his ki in check. "You know….da….." *ahem* very well why I am mad at you."
He made sure to check what he said since the glare that came from Kurenai told him that it would be in his best interest to not invoke her wrath by cursing in front of a baby. He had to give it to his friends on how they were able to come up with a way so they wouldn't get in trouble so much but he had something planned for them later on so he could be patient. Though that didn't mean that he wasn't going to let them know what they did and make sure he got them to fix them as soon as he could. Not seeing any other point in staying outside he gestured for the group to head inside the compound. He pushed the doors open and walked inside with the rest of the group following. He paused and let the others walk past him. But when Kiba and Akamaru walked past him, he grabbed Kiba by the head and lifted him off the dog. "Now, Kiba. I want you to look at the little garden I have over by our right. And I want to ask you, what do you see?"
Kiba gulped as he could feel his life was coming to an end. "Uh…..the compound wall?" he winced as he felt the pressure on his head grow. The large courtyard? Ack!" he shifted his eyes around the direction he was being held and saw what he assumed as he was being told to point out. "The garden?!"
"Good, you got it. Now, do you mind telling me why I am showing you this?"
"How should I know?! You just suddenly grabbed my head and kept me in the air!"
Naruto waved Kiba in the air as he spoke. " You see, the reason I'm showing you this is because when I left, I had planted several specific flowers there and they were organized in a certain way. Yet, when I come back, I find that not only are the flowers completely different, they are randomly set up like it was hastily put there to cover up something. Not only that, there are patches of upturned dirt all over the compound. Mind telling me how that happened?"
Kiba froze as he now knew he was in trouble. The other Rookies knew that Naruto had a hobby of gardening since Ino talked a lot about how the two would try and outdo each other. And now he was in the grapes of the large fox that has a reputation of testing your sanity with his pranks. He'd rather fight the fox than suffer the pranks the large fox might have come up with while gone. "Hey, wait! How do you even know it was me that messed with your flowers!"
Naruto lifted Kiba and turned him to look him right in the eye. "I know it wasn't really you. It was Akamaru, but since you are supposed to look after him, you suffer the consequences. And the reason I know this is thanks to a pretty birdie who informed me when I got here."
Kiba's eyes shifted to see a guilty look on Hinata's face. "Hinata! I thought we were teammates! You traitor."
Hinata shrunk on herself as she mumbled out. "Sorry, Kiba."
Before Kiba could say anything, he was dropped on his ass and looked up to see the smiling muzzle of Naruto. And that just unnerved him even more about what the prank beast was going to do to him.
Naruto leaned forward and spoke softly. "I won't do anything to you right now but know that something will happen. You just won't know when." he was about to turn to the others and continue his way inside but paused. "Oh, one more thing." he brought his hand up and flicked Kiba in the forehead, hard."
"Argh! What the heeee…ck." he shifted his gaze to see Kurenai was too far away to hear him but he was not gonna risk it. Ever since she became a mother, she has become scarier than before. "What was that for?"
Naruto pointed in the direction of the bathhouse, or more specifically to the side of it, where Akamaru's kennel was. "Move that to the other side of the compound! Why would you put that there in the first place!?" he moved away from the boy as he grumbled to himself.
All the while Ino was thanking Naruto for that since it was an issue for a lot of them but Kiba just never bothered to move it.
How can you enjoy a nice bath when the smell of the kennel wafted through the window?
Akamaru was sitting there wagging his tail as he watched his partner get up from the ground.
Kiba glared at the dog as he grumbled to himself. "Thanks to you, I get in trouble."
*Arf*
"Lousy mutt."
Naruto caught up with everyone as they were walking through the compound.
Kakashi looked at his student and asked. "So where are we heading? I mean, in the compound specifically?"
"I figured that being under the Sakura tree would be the best place for it. But…" he shifted his gaze to Kiba, causing the boy to shift uncomfortably. "When we get there, I want you to remove that hive you have in the tree. I don't care if they are harmless, it is right above the swing and I don't want it falling onto Asa or Mirai, if she ever wants to use the swing when her mom brings her over."
Shino rubbed his head as he nodded. "Very well. Forgive me for not considering that."
Naruto nodded as he looked forward.
"Hold on! How come he just gets a slap on the wrist while I get the prank punishment?!"
"Because the Hive was only made recently while your kennel was longer than a year."
Kiba brought his hands up in a way that looked like he wanted to strangle either Naruto for giving him such punishment or for Shino who was getting out of it.
Naruto suddenly stopped, causing the rest of the group to stop.
Kurenai looked at Naruto with a look of confusion. "What is it?"
Naruto just held up a hand as he looked to his left. "Just gotta get one more person." He moved to the sliding door and opened it to see the inside of his Sealing room. His eye twitched as he saw that it was a complete mess with a massive pile of wasted scrolls and paper.
The slots for the different-sized sealing storage scrolls were almost empty with a few of them haphazardly on the ground. There were some scrolls hanging on the wall with splashes of ink on them which looked like they were made from frustration. Ink brushes were scattered here and there but thankfully none of the floor had ink on it. Notes with scratched-up lines and torn pieces of paper all around.
Naruto looked around as he couldn't see any sign of the one who did this and the whole room smelled of ink and paper. "Karin! You in here?"
The pile of scrolls and papers suddenly burst to show the frazzled hair of one Karin Uzumaki
"ARGH! I hate him! How the hell did he come up with these damn formulas!?" she turned around to the door and had a crazed look in her eyes. "Yoooooouuuu~" she growled out as she got up from the pile and walked up to him. She grabbed the side of his head and brought the top of his head to her forehead. "You're going to tell me how the hell you came up with these. A bunch of them look like you randomly put the kanji or symbol but then you have a countermeasure in case something goes wrong. Hell, the anti-dust seal tag you have also had a close resemblance to your incendiary tag!" she breathed heavily as she glared into his eyes. "You are telling me how you came up with these."
Naruto blinked owlishly before he nodded. He didn't know how to deal with a crazed Uzumaki but the demand was a simple one and he didn mind sharing his seals' secrets to a family member. Even distant cousins
Karin smiled as she let go of his face and nodded. She stepped back and took a deep breath before she regained her composure. "And it's nice to see you back." She then looked up to see Hinata on his back, which caused her eyes to move to Ino and then the group behind him. "Did I miss something?"
Naruto gestured with his head for her to follow as he moved out of the room. "I was planning on telling everyone about my trip. I figured everyone should know about this."
Karin shrugged her shoulders as she moved to follow. It was then she noticed that there was someone missing. "So where is the third?"
Naruto looked over his shoulder and smiled. "I was originally going to let him relax in his home since he is an old man and should enjoy his time out of the Hokage seat, but…"
The group made it to the Sakura tree and saw that the old man, along with Tsunade, Shizune, Ayame, and Teuchi were already there waiting for them
Naruto smiled at the sight. "Turns out that he already figured it out and brought in Ayame and Teuchi here."
Hiruzen chuckled as he walked up to the fox. "A large fox roaming around the village and you expect me not to hear about it?" he looked Naruto over as if appraising him. "I have to say that you have grown much since we all last saw you."
"Ha ha, very funny, Jiji."
His head was then hugged by a happy Ayame. "It's so good to see you, Naruto. Why didn't you come to our stand when you came back?"
Naruto was thankful for his fur as he blushed at the thing that took up his time when he got back. "I would have but something came up and I had to make up for not sending a message home the whole time. I was going to head to the stand soon to say hi, but you guys were here before I had the chance to." he then looked over to Tsunade as he asked. "So where is Pervy Sage?"
Tsunade waved her hand dismissively. "He ran off into the village when you arrived and I haven't seen him since. If I had to guess, he is off peeping. I don't know what you did to him but he seemed desperate."
A mischievous, almost malicious grin appeared on Naruto's face as he moved over to the Sakura Tree. "Alright, you two, the ride's over."
Hinata slid off of Naruto and immediately sat on the grass while Ino grumbled as the tails moved to drop her right next to Hinata.
Now that the two were off him, he sat down and brought his hands up into a hand sign before channeling chakra into a certain seal.
~hot springs~
"That's it. That's it, baby. Now drop the towel and slowly get into the water."
Jiraiya was watching through a peephole he made in order to peep on the women. He had tissue stuffed in his nose as he was at risk of fainting from blood loss as it had been some time since he got a good look at any naked women recently.
All thanks to a demon fox that was now the bane of his perverted existence.
There were a lot of moments that he was glad he had with the kid but the moments he hated…oh he hated them. But now he was free of them as Naruto was now in the village and not watching him twenty-four-seven.
Unseen by the white-haired man, a small seal array lit up on the man's back. He did however feel the small bit of chakra and the disruption to his own network. He froze as his vision became distorted and soon the very curvy woman that was turning to the side to give a good view of her assets changed. Jiraiya turned pale and this time it wasn't from blood loss.
"Let your YOUTH SHINE BRIGHTLY!"
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH."
All the women in Jiraiya's vision changed to that of Gai.
Naked Gai

Gais turning to glare at the hole Jiraiya was using.
The kunoichi in the baths quickly donned towels and found the pale man that was close to foaming at the mouth from the sight he saw. That didn't stop them from pummeling him into the ground and destroying the little notebook that held so many new notes from the day he got back into the village and peeped on women
As Jiraiya was hurting both physically and mentally, he had a single thought. 'I hate you, Gaki.'
Naruto had heard the scream of his sensei and could not help but smile.
Tsunade saw the smile and asked. "What did you just do, Gaki?"
Naruto laid down behind Ino and Hinata so they could lay on his side. "I activated a seal that I put on Pervy sage so that he would not be able to peep on anyone until I deactivated it."
Laughter was heard from one of the hallways and everyone turned to see Anko and Asa coming in.
Anko patted her daughter's head, giving her the go-ahead to run towards Naruto. "Gotta say, Gaki, you really should come work for the T and I department. You could make things fun for us."
Naruto smiled as he felt Asa climb on his tails and then up his back to sit on his shoulders. "Maybe I'll give you some tags that I came up with that would be helpful. But that's for later." he looked around and wondered out loud. "Where's Iruka? I would have figured that he would be here when he heard of me being back."
Hiruzen chuckled as he sat down on the grass with Tsunade sitting next to him. "Naruto, it is a school day. He is in the middle of teaching a class. Konohamaru and his friends are there as well. And I know for a fact that they would have loved to see you again after you being gone for so long."
Naruto thought about it and figured that he would tell them the story later on. Including the fact that he was a bijuu now since he hadn't told many about it until now.
Everyone sat down in a large circle, with the senseis sitting with their students with Karin sitting with Sakura. Ayame and Teauchi sat with the Hokage and were all ready to hear about Naruto's trip.
Naruto couldn't help but think that he was a teacher telling storytime to a bunch of kids. He chuckled at the thought before he started. "Well, I guess I should start with my first stop: Suna."
End of chapter
So begins the flashback trip ark. The next several chapters will be all flashback episodes so we won't really be back in Konoha till it is done
I know I didn't show what Lee did but it will be shown soon. Most likely when the Ark is done. Though it is hinted at in the chapter.

I remember when I started Fox in the leaf, I was super ambitious, thinking I could do more stories that only focused on the crossover of my own naruto. But then new story ideas that go into different ways of Naruto and other fandoms took over.

I was thinking something along the lines of "MysticFoxWriter" but it will be a bit before I do so. Thoughts? Would be appreciated. This is just in case I do change it and the ones following my stories and I, don't think someone else took over or something. But like I said, it will be a bit before I do that and to see if anyone thinks it's a good idea or name
