Chapter 26: The rescue
It has been one more day since I have been here. I keep getting tortured constantly, cuts and bruises covered my body. I am still scared and very hungry as I have not had anything to eat since I got kidnapped. I did have water here and there but no food at all. I was still hanging from the ceiling, tied up. As I was about to drift off I heard footsteps towards the room and the door opened. "Leave me alone," I said. "Calm down Lana, it's just us." A familiar voice said.
I looked up and gasped when I saw my parents, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Katniss. I also saw Glimmer, Gale, and my husband, Cato. "Guys, how did you get here?" I asked. "We flew here, Professor Dumbledore is helping us rescue you. We need to get you down from there and get out of here." Hermione said. "Is there a ladder or something? She's a bit high up there." Glimmer said. "We don't have time to look for one now," Katniss said. "Here, Hermione climb onto my shoulders, I can lift you up," Ron said. "Okay," Hermione said. Ron bent down and let Hermione climb onto his shoulders.
"Someone hold onto her, she'll fall when we get the ropes cut," Ron said. "I got her," Cato said and went over to me and held onto my waist to keep me from falling. Once Hermione reached my height she pointed her wand at the ropes that held my hands together. "Reducto," Hermione shouted and cut the ropes with her wand. "Reducto!" Hermione shouted and cut the ropes that held my feet together. I fell a bit but Cato held onto me and carried me.
Ron let Hermione down. "Are you okay?" Cato asked me. "I'm scared," I said. "It will be okay, we're gonna get you out of here," Cato said. "Let's go and meet Professor Dumbledore, he'll help us get out of here," Hermione said. Cato carried me as we were walking downstairs.
Harry looked like he was about to cry as we were walking away from the place. "Dad? Are you okay?" I asked him. "I'm so sorry I left you behind at the graveyard. My parents didn't give me enough time to save you and myself. I just had to get to the portkey before Voldemort killed me." Harry said. "It's okay dad, I understand. It's not your fault." I said. Once we got downstairs, we saw Professor Dumbledore.
"Professor, we were able to get her," Harry said. "Good, now take the brooms and quickly fly back to Hogwarts. I'll hold off the Dark Lord while you guys make your escape." Professor Dumbledore said. "Okay, come on guys, let's go," Katniss said. "Right." Hermione agreed. As we were about to make our escape, A voice stopped us. "Well Harry, we meet again." We turned around and we saw Voldemort standing in front of us. "What do you want?" Harry said with a glare while pointing his wand at him. "I'm glad you asked. I want to kill you, Harry. Then when I finished killing you, I will kill your daughter." Voldemort said.
"I have been waiting for this moment. Well done Lana, you have helped me find Harry Potter again." Voldemort said. "I did not help you, bastard. You held me against my will." I said. "You helped me by leading your father here to me. Now watch as I kill him. And then I will kill you." Voldemort said. "Go, Harry, I will hold him off," Voldemort said. Harry nodded and we all ran out of the manor with Cato still carrying me. "No!" Voldemort yelled as we were running away.
I could hear the battle between Voldemort and Professor Dumbledore. When we got outside, I saw the brooms leaning against the walls. We all grabbed a broom. "Here, take one. We got an extra one for you." Ron said. "Thanks, Dad," I said. We have mounted our brooms. It kinda hurt to take off because I had a broken bone I think and a few broken ribs. We flew out of the manor quickly and at last, we were at Hogwarts-my home.
When we got home, we dismounted our brooms. "Ow," I whispered. "Lana? What's wrong?" Katniss said. "I think my foot is broken," I said. "Let me see," Katniss said. Katniss lifted my shirt up and gasped when she saw my wounds. "They look bad," Gale said. "We need to get her to the hospital wing," Hermione said. Katniss carried me as we walked to the hospital wing. When we got to the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey walked up to us. "Oh, your back Lana." Madam Pomfrey said.
"Yes, we need to get her wounds treated, she's in bad condition," Gale said. "Okay, lay her on the bed, I will get to work with her right away. Once I'm finished, the rest of the family can come and see her." Madam Pomfrey said. Katniss laid me down on the bed. "It's gonna be okay sweetie, we'll come to see you when you are finished," Katniss said. "Okay, thanks mom," I said. Katniss gave me a kiss on the forehead and my family left. When my family left, Madam Pomfrey gave me some medicine to me. "Here, take this. I'll need to put you to sleep so I can operate on you." She said. I nodded and took the medicine. In a few minutes, I fell asleep.
When I woke up, I felt some pain. I think I was still sore from the torture I had when I was in captivity. I looked and saw a cast was wrapped around my leg. Most of my skin was wrapped in bandages and a bandage was wrapped around my stomach.
I felt a bit dizzy but when I got my vision back, I saw my family gathered around my bed. "Hey Lana, it's good to have you back," Nala said as she nuzzled me. "It's good to see you too, Nala," I said and also embarrassed her. "I missed you guys," I said. "We missed you too," Nala said.
"We were worried about you. How are you feeling?" Mufasa said. "I am feeling okay, I'm still in a bit of pain though," I said. My wife Johanna who I haven't seen in a while walked up and kissed me. I kissed her back. "I have something for you, Lana," Johanna said. "What is it?" I asked, eagerly. Johanna dug into her bag and got something. She handed me a Sailor Venus plush from the anime show I like, Sailor Moon. I smiled and held onto the plush.
"Thanks, honey, I love it," I said. "Your welcome sweetie, I got it for you as a little welcome back/get-well-gift," Johanna said. Madam Pomfrey then walked up to us. "How did the surgery go?" Cato asked her. "It went fine. She does have a broken foot though, she will need to us crutches for some time until her foot heals." Madam Pomfrey said. "Okay, thanks," Cato said. "She will also need to stay here for a day to recover from her surgery, then she will be able to go back to the common room." She said. "Alright," Mufasa said. "Do you want us to stay here for a while?" Uru asked me.
"No mom, I'll be okay. I just wanna get some sleep for a while." I said. "Sure," Uru said. "Well be in the common room if you need anything, just call one of your parents," Mufasa said. "We'll also pack your stuff because school gets out in a couple of days," Hermione said. "Okay, thanks mom," I said. I watched as my family left the hospital wing.
within a few minutes, I fell into a deep sleep.
