Chapter 3:

Hidden Hearing.

"Lunchtime!" Hazel proudly announced as she stood, the first part of the festivities done for the morning. She led her team back across the row of bleachers, back out of the stadium, but not without catching the attention of a rather curious Blake. "I'll be back. I'm hungry" she mumbled quietly, getting a nod of acknowledgement from Yang as she slipped away, following team HAZE from a comfortable distance away. She tried to convince herself this was what she did best as she stalked the team, casually blending into the crowd they navigated through, having made it back to the fairgrounds, lined with vendors and food stands.

"Something isn't right." Zaffre grumbled, feeling like he was being followed. "You're paranoid Zaffy, relax a little" Eminence urged as the boy shook his head. "Whatever. I'll catch up." He fell behind the team, quickly catching a bow as it bobbed through the crowd. He followed the girl, creating a line of people following each other. Confident in his conclusion she was following his team, he tapped her shoulder. "What do you want?" He sharply demanded, getting a somewhat shocked expression from her. "Do I…know you?" She answered, obviously confused. "No. But you're trying to. I don't know what you're following my team for. Maybe you just want an advantage in the tournament. But it needs to stop. I know your secret. Cat." He said knowingly, a threatening undertone lining his voice. "I'm not sure what that means," the girl answered, still confused. Zaffre scoffed as he returned to his team, seeing the girl was no longer behind them. "I think team RWBY wants info. One was following us. Maybe she doesn't know that curiosity kills the cat." Hazel missed the implication as she giggled. "Detective Zaffre strikes again!" Alizarin teased with a small grin. The team settled on a noodle stand Hazel had picked, sitting to eat as Hazel sighed. She hated hiding who she was, but at least nobody knew…
