ROMEO GRANGER III
AN: This is the first chapter that I don't have mapped out already. The beginning is mostly from the top of my head and the later rest of the chapter is all I had written for Romeo. Thank you.
The ride to Hogwarts went rather nicely. Having hours to talk and enjoy time with your friends and classmates was something that I appreciated. Harry was rather easy to get along with and had lots of thoughts on the coming school year I and my sister couldn't help joining him in his thoughts. Although I did allow my mind to wander to the talk I had with Thomas and I felt the lightness in my chest just like I had after speaking to him. He was a good person and from the story, Harry told us of his last birthday very thoughtful and caring of him. Not that we didn't already think that we just were proven more right on the thought.
I thought I heard footsteps not too long after the train left the station but no one ever entered or knocked so I let the thought slip my mind till a little while longer a knock did interrupt our chat.
"Come in." My sister politely said. When the doors did slide open a blonde boy greeted us with his very noble features.
He gave a once over of us before he bowed allowing his eyes to flick back to the corridor. "Greetings I am Heir Draco Malfoy of the Ancient and Noble house Malfoy. It's a pleasure, Heir Potter…" He stopped allowing me and Hermione to introduce ourselves.
I didn't bow but I stood and shook the boy's hand. "Nice to meet you Draco I'm Romeo Granger." My sister stepped up ad bowed her head while giving a light curtsy making me raise an eyebrow.
"I am Hermione Granger, it's a pleasure to meet you as well Heir Malfoy." Her eyes looked behind the boy and I followed to see two bigger boys behind him. "You as well Heir Goyle and Crabb." I didn't even know how she knew that but she did and I waved at the two in greeting.
Harry then stood and smiled at them. "I am Heir Potter of the Most Ancient and Noble house Potter. Please would you like to sit and ride with us?" It was courteous and something that was clearly practiced but I gave the shorter boy props on it.
They came in and sat and Hermione being herself began asking and talking the head off of the Malfoy heir and his friends. I just sat back along with Harry listening and learning what we could. And the blonde was knowledgable, to say the least. He told us of many things that we didn't even know about wizarding society and how the political world worked for not just magical Britain but the United States magical society.
"Why do you know about the US?"
He shrugged very naturally. "It's a place to go if things don't go well here. I think it's in case another dark wizard pops up but I'm not sure. My mother was wanting me to go to school there but my father spoke of me staying here and he always wins arguments." His eyes shifted to the closed door yet again but I suppose he was suspicious and paranoid about someone busting in or something.
But with his answer, I dropped back out and dozed off so I don't really know anything else from there till right before we reached Hogsmeade where we had to change.
Not long after that I was clothed in my robes and getting rained on while floating in a middle of a lake heading towards the great castle of Hogwarts. And it was a sight. The sheer size, the design, and especially just how magical it all felt was great. But soon we were standing in front of the doors to the Great Hall as the pointy hat-wearing witch told us. We were put in alphabetical order and then allowed entry as the doors automatically opened allowing us to see the mass of students starring at us and speaking in whispers. But none of that mattered as I cast my gaze to the high table only to see a grinning Thomas Dursley. My head whipped towards where Harry stood in line and I pointed at the older teen looking at us and the bloody bastard smiled! He knew that bugger. I wanted to tell Hermione but she seemed to be having an inner argument with herself so I let her be. But I did see the red-headed kid that immediately started to bother us after we got off the train all the way to the castle. He kept bringing up random things and telling us facts that our new bud Draco along with Crabb and Goyle already had told us or straight up said were wrong.
Apparently, his name was Ronald Weasley, and when we told him about Draco telling us all the things he was trying to he flipped his lid and his face grew deep red spitting out Draco being a dirty snake and how he would be Slytherin and was probably already a dark wizard. My lovely had tried to calm the boy but he yelled at her… he yelled at my little sister! That bloody cunt! If he had made Hermione cry I would have killed the bastard… or tell Thomas. Luckily Professor McGonigal was on the scene like a cat on a rat and the boy already had detention along with an aching ear lobe. I couldn't help liking the stern woman because of it.
Anyway besides that idiot the sorting was weird. They put a hat on us and decided based on our character or something like that. When it was my turn the hat did its whole spiel and told me I was a "phenomenon" before sending me off to the Hufflepuff table. I wonder what it meant by phenomenon? Thoms looked pleased with me going to the house of loyalty and continued to do so till all of our group was sorted. It felt good to know we had a friend on the staff that we could rely on in this place.
The headmaster gave a speech and then introduced Thomas which then led to him giving us a demonstration of what he would be teaching us in our early years of DADA. To say me and my sister were shocked would be an understatement. I wished to see what Harry thought but with him being a distance away and hidden behind some heads of hair I couldn't tell.
Food followed not long after. And it was good. Hermione seemed to be getting along with our housemates and I myself spoke sometimes but I was watching Thomas as he stepped down and approached a pair of students with badges. Not long later they stood and went amongst the other house tables speaking quickly with other badged teens. Then all the 1-3 years were told to write their wand and its characteristics down and to give it to them the next morning. Easy enough. More so because both my wand and Hermione's were sister wands or something which we were told was normal for twins. Although we tried to use each other and it just didn't do anything, how odd.
Finally, after eating quite a bit and chatting for some time we were escorted to our common rooms than to our respective dorms. It was a beautiful space and I thought it would be more so if I didn't know we were actually in the dungeon of a castle. I was luckily roomed with two quiet boys and wasn't bothered. Sadly my sister went to another dorm with just girls leaving us more separated than we have been in a long while. We were older though so I understood.
Before we headed up though we were introduced to our head of house Profesor Sprout a kind lady from what I could tell. After that and my seeing my dear sister badgering the woman with questions. Which she answered happily. I left to bed with word of schedules and classes tomorrow. Every first-year probably sprinted to their dorms and promptly passed out. I knew I did as the next day would be the next step in my journey.
AN: Hey y'all I have decided to to a chapter per week and faster if I feel like it. I'll do my best to not skimp out on you all. Thank you and please keep showing your support. Also I dislike Ron to whomever asked why I sent him away in the last chapter and yes I do read reviews they are my favorite part of the day
