"So, we didn't even need to spy on them?" Yang said in disappointment.

"Quiet you! And it wasn't spying!" Weiss exclaimed in embarrassment and disappointment that there was no need to spy on the foreign students.

Why? Because the Headmaster canceled all classes in order to announce and introduce the teams from all over Remnant that will be competing in the Vytal Festival. An international festival is held every two years in one of the Kingdoms of Remnant in celebration of the end of the Great War. During the festival, the various cultures of the world are celebrated with dances, parades, and a combat tournament.

While they were a bit disappointed to see that the reconnaissance was for nothing, they're still curious about which teams from all over the kingdoms will be participating.

"Lots of students here, eh? Recognize anyone from your group, Blake?" Yang asked, the group she was referring to was the White Fang.

"That's racist, Yang!" Blake said, affronted, even though she did recognize some former White Fang members. What, you didn't think that Blake was the only former White Fang member – apart from Tukson – that left? While she was a bit wary that some of these students were agents sneaking in, she trusted that like Ozpin, the other headmasters know which of them were deserters. It's the least she could do instead of judging every other human to be a closet racist.

"By the way, where's Ruby? She's the team leader, she should be here by now," the heiress looked around the auditorium, trying to find a red cloak but seeing none.

Yang yawned. "Oh, Rubes? She's hanging out with JNPR, I think she's gonna come here soon."

Speak of the Rose and she shall appear – a group of four students appeared.

One was an orange-haired girl. She was wearing a collared black sleeveless vest, with a blue central front section with red accents, her vest has her emblem, on the back, which was a hammer with a lightning bolt in the middle. Under the vest, she wears a white sleeveless t-shirt with a heart-shaped cutout above her breast line in the center accompanied by a pair of white detached sleeves on each arm, and a pair of light pink fingerless gloves.

She sports a short pink skirt with a single white layer under it. Her white ankle boots sport pink soles with part of her emblem, the lightning bolt, on them and low heels with pink laces, the tops are folded over revealing the pink lining. She also wears a silver armor piece that wraps around the waist, under her breasts, and around the back of her neck with metal connecting each piece together at the front.

Another was a young girl with long black hair that ends midway down her back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of her hair. Her eyes match the streak in her hair. She was wearing a dark green, diagonally-buttoned, long sleeve tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. The trimming goes down the right side of her torso and forms a black collar and forms a space for the upper area of her chest. Her sleeves were white and fluffy that connects a line to her neck, revealing both of her shoulders. She was also wearing purple fingerless gloves. Along with this, she was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit and thigh-level skirt with knee-level slippers. Her hair reaches her lower back.

The third was a red-headed girl with a waist-length ponytail. She was wearing a corset with a vertical strip of brown in the center. She also wore a mini skirt, brown gloves on her arms and a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt. As for her armor, she had bronze greaves that started below her mid-thigh before continuing downwards into her boots as well as a pair of cuisses that began mid-thigh and ended slightly above her knees. She was also equipped with a bronze bracer atop the sleeve on her left arm. Her high-heeled boots were brown with bronze trim, matching her skirt and sleeves and reaching up to mid-calf.

The fourth was Yang's sister, Ruby. She wore a black long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles.

Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem – which was a rose – appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips at an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets.

Ruby looked around the room and spotted her teammates, which she bolted over to.

Weiss went over and fixed Ruby's uniform, which was unsettled due to her running. "Took you long enough."

"Sorry." Ruby laughed and scratched the back of her head.

"By the way, there are only three people there: Nora, Ren, and Pyrrha," Blake remarked.

"Oh yeah, where's—" Yang started but was interrupted by a voice.

"Sorry, I had to take care of something." Team RWBY and NPR turned to the voice and saw a girl.

She was a green-eyed blonde. Her hair was tied up at the left side of her head with a green scrunchie. The outfit she was wearing was the Beacon Uniform and a Pumpkin Pete's hoodie — its signature bunny logo being green instead of white — wrapped around her waist. Under her skirt, she wore spats and had combat boots reaching to her knee. She was also wearing gloves that reach up to her elbow. (1)

"Jade!" the rest called out.

"I'm here now; what did I miss?" Jade asked.

"Nothing, it hasn't started yet, besides, you know these kinds of events never actually start on time," Yang complained which Weiss glared at her for.

"I'm sure the staff was just busy organizing all of this. They are hosting hundreds of students after all." Pyrrha interjected.

Weiss added in. "Besides, the schedules were changed according to the Council of Vale, making the Vytal Festival happen sooner instead of the next several months." Now THAT was what caught Yang's interest.

As they were talking, they stopped as they heard and saw Ozpin walking in.

"Students…" and that was the last thing Yang heard before she tuned him out. It sounded like some boring speech and she just fiddled around with the place, messing with her teammates, playing with her hair, and looking around before the announcement finally ended and the headmaster let the foreign students introduce themselves.

After the boring ordeal, Team RWBY was seen walking outside to greet someone, or rather; Ruby, Yang, and Blake were stalking Weiss. Apparently, Ruby had never seen Weiss so giddy before and so, convinced her sister to go along with her. And Yang being Yang convinced (dragged) Blake to go with her, much to her dismay at being interrupted at her investigation of the White Fang.

"Weiss!" Ruby chased Weiss. She had never seen her partner that excited before! She had seen her happy, yes, but not to that extent. "What is the big deal? Who is it?" Ruby stopped once Weiss stopped as well. "Who is she?"

"Who do you think got Weiss-cream so wrapped up?" Yang asked as she had her hands behind her head. Truthfully, she only followed her sister to distract Blake from becoming too occupied with the White Fang, this level of obsession is not healthy for her.

As Yang conveniently forgot her own obsession for her mother, Blake replied dismissively. "I don't know."

"Think it's a boyfriend of sorts?" the blonde stated with a teasing smirk.

"I don't know." The faunus responded with a monotone voice.

"You're no fun!" Yang hmphed.

As the airship's doors dropped and multiple Atlas soldiers lined up, she appeared. Dressed in her white long-sleeved coat and her hair that was white as snow in a bun, Winter Schnee descended from the airship.

"Winter!" Weiss shouted from a distance, calling her sister.

"Wait," Ruby said, realizing who that name belonged to. "Your sister?"

"Her sister, huh?" Yang echoed to Blake who nodded.

"Winter, I'm so happy to see you!" Weiss gushed over her sister but caught herself and calmed down. "Oh. Your presence honors us." She curtsied.

"Beacon, it's been a long time." Winter walked slowly and looked around. "The air feels… different."

It was a few days later with Weiss' reunion with her sister and now students from different sections and different schools are in combat class. The headmistress really did a good job composing all their schedules that did not impede anyone in any way whatsoever.

However, as the class was starting to begin, Professor Goodwitch walked in with someone.

Someone that Jade recognized very well.

[JAUNE DESCRIPTION?]

As her eyes widened which prodded questions from her team, the professor called the attention of the huntsmen and huntresses in training.

"Students, let me introduce you to a huntsman that we have acquired to give all of you some pointers," Goodwitch announced.

She then turned to the huntsman. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"

The man nodded.

"Hello, my name is Jaune Arc. I am 24 years old. I've been a huntsman for a few years now. I hope to impart you with some of my knowledge from my experiences and hope you all get stronger for the better." Jaune introduced himself.

Hearing his last name, teams NPR and RWBY turned to Jade.

"Huh, that's…" Blake, Weiss, and Pyrrha started.

"He's…" Ren and Nora continued.

"Your—" Yang and Ruby carried on.

"BROTHER!" Jade Arc jumped from her seat and crashed onto Jaune, tackling him onto the floor.

"Oof!" Jaune grunted from the impact.

"Jaune! Why didn't you tell me you'd be here?" Jade gushed over her brother.

"Gah! Jade, mind your surroundings!" Jaune scolded her younger sister.

Jade stopped and looked around, seeing multiple students staring at her ranging from confusion, amusement, and scrutinization and criticism.

Confusion, because she just tackled a huntsman onto the floor. Amusement, because she called him her brother, meaning they are related. Criticism, because she just hugged this huntsman out of nowhere with no regard for her surroundings.

"Oh! Sorry!" She yelped and scratched the back of her head, cheeks flushed.

"It's fine, but you better get back to your friends." Jaune chuckled and ruffled her hair, which she beamed at, and pointed towards her friends, which she pouted at, seeing as she wanted to catch up with her brother.

Huntsmen don't really have any fixed schedules. They relax, they get called in for a mission or take one for themselves, they do that mission, and come back. Sometimes a mission doesn't take more than a week, and sometimes, it takes weeks – maybe months, depending on the difficulty.

They're more mercenaries than heroes.

While Jade loved all her six sisters, she was considerably closer and had a soft spot for her brother. Always going to him to be carried when she was younger, making him feed her during dinnertime, following him wherever he goes to do errands which she clings to his back. Overall, a perfect example of someone with a brother complex – also known as a brocon.

But ever since he went to school to become a huntsman, and gradually became a huntsman himself, she had spent less and less time with him, and as the saying goes… "absence makes the heart grow fonder"… her affection for her brother had reached a morally ambiguous and legally-breaking level.

Seeing as she wanted to be a good little sister, she obediently bowed her head and went back to her team.

A few days later, Team RWBY was in a combat arena with Jaune in the middle.

Ever since his introduction as somewhat of another teacher, both he and Goodwitch formed lesson plans together and separate, with Goodwitch having a student vs. student, while Jaune has a teacher vs. student, to curb their arrogance.

They formed all the students in batches and now, after a few spars of Jaune against whole teams – with him winning all of them – it's now team RWBY's turn.

Yang was the first to charge, going in with a hard right accompanying a battle cry. Jaune pivoted a foot to dodge it which he then took the opportunity to grab her and throw her away. However, Yang used Ember Celica's shotgun blasts to charge right back at the man.

As this was happening, Weiss was casting time dilation glyphs to both Ruby and Blake. The faunus ran and disappeared from sight while the reaper ran to find a hide site.

Back to Yang and Jaune, the Xiao Long tried to feint a punch but was instead going for a kick. Unfortunately, the huntsman saw through this and countered with a palm strike to her chin. Suddenly though, Blake appeared from behind to attack him, but Jaune crouched low and did a roundhouse kick which sent her flying away.

Just as he was about to get back up though, he jumped out of the way to dodge a bullet, he then looked over to see the smoke from Crescent Rose as Ruby prepared to aim again. Yang capitalized on his distraction by rushing at him which he responded to.

Suddenly though, he backed off before seeing ice build-up to where he was before, it was Weiss.

As Yang kept barraging with her attacks, Blake going in for the blind spots and the weakest parts of his defense, Ruby supporting from long range and occasionally going in for a strike, and Weiss providing support and attacking from time to time, they all realized something.

The huntsman never initiated on attacking.

He was parrying, dodging, blocking, and counter-attacked, sure. But never went on the offensive. This sheer realization was too late, however, as Jaune picked the perfect time to absolutely decimate them.

One moment, he glowed white – indicating his active use of aura, then the next moment, he vanished.

Suddenly, from behind Weiss, Jaune kicked her back, making her fly with a strong thud towards Yang, both having them out of the arena making them lose. Ruby, shocked by what happened, didn't see Jaune knocking her out from behind with a strike to her nape. Blake, seeing the huntsman just finish off three of her teammates and walking calmly towards her, raised her hands and conceded defeat.

"Match, over! Winner, Mr. Arc!" Goodwitch announced to the audience that were still in shock that he managed to not only beat team JNPR but Team RWBY as well! Two of the strongest teams of the first years of Beacon!

"Dammit, and to think he fought us unarmed as well." Yang groaned from the ground. That's right, Jaune fought unarmed, much to the understanding of his sister and shock of the rest of the students. Some of them were insulted, believing that they were strong enough to defeat him, some were curious like Yang, trying to see if he was trying to hide his strength or that unarmed combat is his specialty.

Others think that it was perfectly understandable, seeing as Huntsmen – especially one that was recognized by Beacon are generally known to be powerful – they have to be, otherwise, they wouldn't be able to kill Grimm!

But overall of these emotions, the most that was hurt was their pride.

And so, they prepared their all, hoping to prove him wrong.

Imagine their emotions when he beat all of them.

"Yep, my brother says he only uses his weapon and semblance to kill." Yang saw Jade's head looking down at her.

"Kill? He only uses his weapon for Grimm, huh." Ruby mused, not knowing the truth. And disappointed the she wasn't able to see his weapon.

Weiss winced as she stood up. "His attacks are strong as well. I wonder how powerful he is when he actually uses his weapons."

"Well, this has gone terribly bad," Jaune said as he watched from the rooftops of Vale, observing the multiple students and Grimm fighting about.

On the far east, he saw Team RWBY fighting Beowolves and Ursae. He then saw a bullhead's doors opening and team CFVY jumping down to help.

On the west side, team JNPR and CRDL were picking off Grimm, with Jade being the main attacker with her semblance, Cycle. Every time she performs a cycle – like a spin, her power increases three-fold. That's why her main style of fighting is based on Capoeira and Taidō – with Tricking added to it.

He saw Jade bouncing around the place, eliminating Grimm in one attack.

She's a free runner at heart. Jaune thought amusedly.

At the north and south, are Qrow Branwen and Winter Schnee respectively, leading their own groups of students and available huntsmen to cleanse the enemy of Remnant.

However, the main source of the problem is the town square, which is lacking in all rights and filled with all wrongs. The students, soldiers, and huntsmen are just spread too thin. There are not enough forces to kill all of them without casualties, from both civilians and fighters.

That's where he comes in.

"Welp. Gotta do my job here, again." Jaune sighed in exhaustion despite not doing anything at the moment.

He jumped off the building, right to the very center of the town square…

And glowed.

Grimm are naturally attracted to negative emotions. Nobody knows why they do, but what they do know is that it has always been that way.

Sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred. Negative emotions attract Grimm to humans and faunus alike. Especially more so when you have unlocked Aura. Aura is a manifestation of the soul, you are metaphysically more naked to the world, declaring your own identity and individuality. It's why a semblance can give a rough outline of who you are as a person.

Not only that, Grimm prefer people with Aura than Aura-less civilians. It's why not all civilians have their aura unlocked. They prefer aura – specifically, they prefer people with a lot of Aura.

So, what happens when Jaune released his full Aura at the town square?

It was a beacon of light, attracting all sorts of Grimm like a moth to a flame. Civilians that were about to be attacked were suddenly wondering why this Grimm didn't kill them. Huntsmen that were low on Aura, bullets, and energy were shocked at the amount being emanated, and as for the Grimm themselves, they traveled as if in a trance towards the pillar of Aura.

As they all surrounded the light, it disappeared, revealing a figure. The figure had white armor. His helmet has a white spike in the front and two yellow spikes in the back. It had the combined symbol of a yin-yang enclosed in a stylized eye, and a stylized sun, surrounded by purple stripes. The yin-yang symbol is on its left shoulder plate, which on the left hand has a dinosaur-like gauntlet on it. The right shoulder plate has purple spikes, and its right hand had a wolf-like gauntlet on it. The figure was also wearing a white cape, the inside of which is red.

"Now then, let's get this over with." The figure spoke, his voice revealing it to be Jaune.

The Grimm all around him attacked, intending on a besiege. However, the knight-in-literal-shining-armor just swung his left hand, allowing a sword with inscriptions on it to emerge.

"Transcendent Sword"

The sword glowed as he did a single horizontal slice…

…and split all the Grimm into twos.

The huntsman then jumped on a tall building, looking at the sky, seeing multiple Grimm ranging from land to flying charging at him from all sides. He then raised his right arm, the jaws of the wolf gauntlet opening to reveal a cannon.

"Supreme Cannon"

He then shot at the air, firing a ball of supercharged bullet, enhanced with fire dust and aura, making contact with the flock of Nevermores…

And then the sky shook.

Everyone was shocked at the recurring explosions happening throughout the surroundings. They looked up and for every time a bullet made contact with groups of Grimm, they were simply obliterated.

All they could see was a frighteningly fast white dot, that was speeding through Grimm all throughout the environment, slashing and dicing through the Grimm on the streets of Vale, jumping to the skies and flying Grimm suddenly dropping dead, and explosions everywhere.

A task and mission that can only be completed after a few hours – and that's with multiple people working together to finish it, has only taken a few minutes before only several Grimm remained.

Jaune was seen sitting on a rooftop, leaning against a wall and panting.

"Haah… 15 minutes is the limit now… I need to train more. I need to make it longer."

He looked at his scroll, proud at himself for spending that extra money to get a durable one, and saw the time.

"Oh shit! My market discount expires today! I gotta hurry!" He then jumped off and ran – forgetting that the market may not even be there anymore as it was destroyed.

A/N: I'm going on a small vacation, you might not hear from me.
