James and Sirius drove over to Severus and Lily's house. They had to find out why Severus called the chief of police. None of this made any sense and they both had an awful feeling in their gut.
Once the reached the house, James quickly got out of the car. He ran up to the front door and knocked. He knew Severus and Lily despised having people just barge in even if they were friends.
After a few minutes of no response he knocked again this time a little harder. Sirius came up to James and waited. But again there was no response "Are they home?" Sirius asked as he knocked on the door.
"I don't know. Look I'll try and call Lily, you try to call Severus" Sirius nodded and both boys pulled out their phone and began to call the two siblings.
Sadly the minute they pressed the call button they were both met with a voice saying that the numbers they dialed were no longer in service. Fear began to set in and both boys were begining to panic.
James walked over to the window and attempted to look inside but the curtains had been drawn to a close. Before he could say anything, Sirius had rushed over and used his elbow to break the window.
"Sirius are you crazy?!" James shouted out, he was almost scared to death at his friend's action.
"I am not going to stand out here and freak out when there is a possibility that my brother is in danger!" Sirius shouted out and then proceeded to remove the glass inorder to get into the house.
James wasn't at all shocked by Sirius's outburst. Ever since they met Severus, he had been treating him as if they were siblings. That's why Sirius became a cop in the first place. It was during the day of their graduation party that Severus expressed his desire to kill those who tainted the world with darkness, he even confessed to murdering his own father.
Sirius, being the overprotective person that he was, promised that he would protect him. And what better way to do that then to work with people who will attempt to try and stop him.
James watched as Sirius entered the house and a second later the door was opened. "Come on" He ran to the door and quickly stepped inside. It's moments like these that he wished Severus and Lily had spare keys but due to Severus having anxiety that wouldn't happen.
"What the hell happened here?"
The house...it was different. Everything inside was different, it felt like they went back in time. As if they entered into a home in the 1950's.
"James...look" He looked over at Sirius and noticed him pointing towards the tv. He couldn't help but feel his heart stop as he saw what was on screen.
"Siri..." He said as he looked towards his friend but instead he saw nothing. "Sirius?" He called out as he looked around, not a second later he heard an engine come to life.
He rushed towards the window and saw Sirius drive away at incredible speed. 'Shit' he thought, he turned his sight back onto to the TV screen.
"What happened..." He said to himself while he stared at the tv as it displayed a room, much like the one he was standing in, with the words "Nevermore will fall" written all over the walls. Pictures of Severus were scattered all over the floor. Some of them included himself, Sirius, Lily, Clair, and Evan.
"Where are you?"
