Summary: Trapped inside the Distortion World, Larson and Hexy must use what they can to get out, including the recently caught Banette.

We were standing on a floating platform, which made up a the entirety of the world in fact. Beneath us was an endless abyss of dark sky. Almost no land connected to each other. In the distance there were mind melting landscapes of buildings connected by roofs, or shrubs connected by roots and trees being on the floating platforms but then another identical one was hanging underneath.
My mind spinned, "Jesus, this place is like some surreal nightmare. Reminds me of Dr. Strange. Plus all this darkness. Then there's the fact I don't know if we're upside down or not. No wonder Giratina needs wings".
Hexy voiced her own opinion, "I like it. Reminds me of Limbo. Minus the fact I see no lost souls around besides us".
I tried to reorient myself, "Okay, I'll just assume we're rightside up. Do you see Giratina anywhere"? I asked.
She shook her head, "Nope".
I looked to Frillish and Banette, "You girls"?
They too shook their heads. I tugged onto Frillish and Banette held Hexy on her back, "Well, let's see what we can find".
This place was somehow even more unnerving in the sky. I new Frillish wouldn't let me fall, but it still disturbed me. In the distance all there was, was a lingering fog which disappeared upon getting close. But soon enough, me and Hexy did find something glimmering down below on a floating platform near a tree.
I grabbed her attention, "Hexy, do you see that"?
She acknowledged, "Yeah. Some yellow, glowing object. Maybe it could be useful".
Frillish and Banette set us down, and just lying there next to the tree trunk was a yellow, glowing gemstone. "Wow. This is pretty. Wonder what it's for".
I went to pocket it, but then I had a thought. "Here. You can have it if you want", I offered Hexy.
She was standoffish, "Why"?
I continued, "It'd look nice as a necklace for you or something".
I could feel Frillish glare at me from behind. Hexy declined, "No thanks. I think you should hold onto it. Could prove useful later on".
"If you insist". I placed it into my backpack. I took in the surroundings for a moment more before we got back on the pokemon. "This place really puts me on edge. I feel like someone could go mad in a place like this. No other people or pokemon besides Giratina. I see how this was punishment from Arceus. Anyways, the sooner we find him, the better".
Hexy agreed, "Yeah, this place gets boring after awhile. Let's".
Just then, we heard a huge roar in the distance. Way up in the sky above, we found Giratina; or he found us. He looked very different in his realm, with those black wings being three separate spider looking limbs. His legs were gone and his tail took up a majority of his body, which ended in a stegosaurus type tip.
Instead of talking to us this time though, he used Dragon Breath. Out of his mouth, he blasted a stream of black flames. Banette and Hexy ducked out of the way, while I was caught off guard and fell down into the sky. Luckily Frillish was there, as she flew after to catch me. "Thanks Frillish". She rubbed her face against mine, 'Frill'.
The dragon pokemon chased us down through the Distortion World, but I wanted to take a stand. "Frillish, place me down there near the buildings. There's more space". We landed and as he went for Hexy and Banette I caught his attention, "Hey you overgrown flying bug. Over here"!
He turned around and flew slowly, but threateningly towards our position. "Frillish, hide behind the building". She shook her head, 'Frillish'. But I insisted, "Now"!
She obeyed, but kept her eye on me. Instead of straight attacking though, Giratina locked eyes with me in a malicious stare. I tried speaking to him again, "I just need to find my friend. I need whatever you know, then just let us out of here. You''l never hear from us again".
He again refused to say anything or even back off, and instead another Dragon Breath was sent my way. Dashing out of the way, I had enough of this, "Okay, you asked for it. MissingNo, it's time for you". Hexy tried calling to me to run but I couldn't hear.
MissingNo beeped, "Turn into your ghost form and use Dark Pulse now". It beeped in acknowledgment then sent out a wave of dark matter that hit Giratina, causing him to wince a little even. He followed up with Slash. Flying down at MissingNo, he used the multiple pointed tips around his neck to cut it.
It managed to avoid the attack by becoming intangible to dodge it. "Nice, now use Shadow Punch". MissingNo acknowledged with a beep then punched the air with a powerful force, that proceeded to form into a black aura in the shape of a fist. The air fist hit Giratina head on.
In response to the attack, the renegade pokemon used Hyper Beam. His red eyes glowed and out of his mouth came a molten beam of orange energy that hit MissingNo for severe damage. MissingNo was still standing though, and around this point I considered it a legendary at least. "MissingNo, use Curse".
It manifested a large nail and then stabbed itself in the chest area with it. After that, Giratina was given a black aura briefly around him, meaning it worked. While resting from the Hyper Beam, I gave the go ahead on another move. "MissingNo, use Ice Punch".
Ice encased it's ghost fist and then it lunged over at the giant, resting pokemon. Shattering the ice on impact, Giratina was dmaged a great deal by the attack. Coming to his full power again though, he reared up for another counterattack. With his eyes glowing red again, he used Psychic to mentally grab MissingNo and then tossed it into one of the upside down double buildings behind me.
I called, "You okay"? MissingNo beeped and came out of the dust. "Terrific. Now, use Foul Play". Breathing out a pink mist at Giratina, MissingNo then erupted from the smoke to slash its claws at him, dealing critical damage. I could tell we really pissed him off at this point, because he attempted to use Dragon Claw.
MissingNo took some initiative, and used Distort upon turning to its normal form, only this time it had a different effect. As the world around us shifted due to the move, Giratina attempted to use its neck blades to cut MissingNo. But instead, the blades went right through the L shaped computer chip, and it shifted a few inches away like a video game glitch, complete with static.
Giratina lost more health from its curse and now he was becoming more desperate. After roaring, he used Outrage, and flew right at the chip with his big chompers and spiked tail, but because of the Distort move he failed each turn. Every time he missed, I commanded MissingNo to return to ghost form momentarily to toss a Shadow Ball. Eventually it all came to a head. The Distortiion World around us became more unstable looking due to MissingNo, with trees becoming black and the buildings cracking, while bushes flew off into the distance.
Finally, Giratina fainted from the curse after losing all of his vigor. Like a space debris, he floated there and his eyes shut. "Yes! Great job MissingNo"! It made a happy beep. But with Giratina knocked out now, I only had one solution to both problems; capture him. Returning MissingNo, which also restored everything around us, I took out an empty Dark Ball and tossed it through the near zero gravity air at the demonic pokemon.
Hitting him with the pokeball, he turned into a big mass of red energy upon being sucked in. As the ball floated in the air, it blinked red over and over again, until at last I actually caught him. Hexy and Banette hovered over, with Hexy taking the ball and handing it to me once she got on the ground. I was amazed, "I actually caught Giratina. The Satan of pokemon some say. Not only was he real...but he's now my pokemon".
Hexy congratulated me, "That's no easy feat. Tell you the truth I saw a vision of you being burnt into a skeleton. But you did it...even I had my doubts. But I didn't stop hoping you wouldn't meet your demise".
I could tell she was trying to be nice, but kind of failing. "Thanks, Hexy. Anyways, now we can get out of this hell hole and back to the real world".
I released Giratina after a short amount of time. As he manifested, I attempted to speak with him again, "Alright Giratina. Why did you attack us? Where's Ethan"?
He still said nothing, "Fine. Then at least create another portal and let us out of here". He turned away from us and let out a black fog from his mouth, which then formed into another black portal. Without hesitation, me and the girls booked it out of there, with Giratina following. Upon entering into the real world again, Giratina's body shape had changed and he looked the way he did before along with legs and different shaped wings.
Then I heard his voice in our heads again, "So now I'm enslaved to a group of likely inexperienced humans".
I resented his remark, "Not exactly inexperienced considering I beat you fair and square. Sure it was MissingNo who did it, but I called the shots, and you were knocked out cold".
Hexy asked him, "Why didn't you bother answering us when we were in the Distortion World"?
He explained, "I was unable to do so. Only in my altered form may I use telepathy. In my origin state, that isn't an option. Regardless, you two and your pokemon subjects invaded my realm. Intruders are swiftly destroyed, especially considering I gave my warnings".
I then asked what we came here for, "Where is Ethan? Young man with a backwards yellow & black cap with red & white hoody".
He recalled, "Years ago there was a human by that description who attempted to capture me. I didn't give him the chance and simply shut the portal behind myself. That was the only time I saw this particular human. You two are the first in a long while".
I kicked up some dust on the platform, "Damn it. Another dead end. Listen Giratina, if you know anywhere at all he could've gone...please tell me".
He relented, "There is an old, decrepit building inside of Eterna Forest. My assumption it's still there after the 100 years I was told about it from another hapless human attempting to capture me".
I looked to Hexy, "I don't think Ethan would just pack up and head to an undisclosed location. What do you think"?
She too was unsure, "We might as well attempt to head there I suppose. We have no other leads".
After our agreement, Giratina showed us out. On the way out though, I could've sworn I saw a couple shiny unowns. In the corner of my eye as we left the portal room, I thought I saw a 'Y' and an 'O' both watching me in that order, before disappearing to wherever they go. Thinking it was just my eyes, I didn't bother Hexy with it yet.
Arriving outside, I returned Banette and kept out Frillish, but Giratina decided he wanted to stay outside for now. Along the routes there, I stared at the huge centipede dragon and dared to ask him, "You aren't really pokemon Satan, are you"?
He glared at me before putting his eyes forward again, "No". He spoke to us both, "Arceus forced my into that blasted cave and into the Distortion Realm due to my violent tendencies. But everything else is simply fabrications. I am no more a demonic entity than that banette you have with you".
I looked to Hexy, "So there is an Arceus too? On top of that, Giratina is simply a legendary who can speak. Man, this is a lot to process".
She smiled up at Giratina, "I think this is fascinating. Just imagine all the knowledge he has over the centuries though".
I had to admit, having Giratina now, asking him more about the world would be quite the treat. But it could wait, as we were headed towards most likely, either another dead end or a place filled with things that want to eviscerate us.
