The next three days passed quickly, enjoyably so. It was the morning of the fourth day Val was there, leaning against Nail, both of them sitting up on the two futons they had pushed together. Both were naked, having woken up a few minutes earlier. He pulled her up to lean on him turned partly sideways to face her. His lips dance along hers, hand stroking between her legs. She hummed against him, feeling quite sensitive to his touch the past few days. She pressed her legs together, hand coming to clasp his forearm. When she came, she pressed her face into his shoulder, refusing to make a noise as she tensed up.

She recovered quickly, turning on him. She pushed him down onto his back, straddling him. He looked up at her eagerly, elbows coming underneath him to prop his upper body up. She slipped her hand between his legs, rubbing along his cock. He purred at that, a sound she found she enjoyed hearing. She slipped down along his legs, bringing her mouth down on him. He purred louder, encouraging her along. He laid his head back down on the futon. His hands slipped into her hair, careful enough at least not to pull on any of her locks.

When she felt him close, she slid her mouth off of him. She rolled herself up, bringing her hips aligned with his. She looked down at him, giving a flirtatious look before slipping him inside of her. He growled up a her when she did that, hands clamping down on her hips. She bounced herself up and down over top of him. He scratched at thighs as she moved, barely leaving any marks that would last long. She watched him as she moved, eyes closed, and face scrunched up. She smiled down at him when he brought the heals of his hands to his eyes, growling out when he came.

She stilled, panting, and slipped herself off of him. She laid down next to him, feeling a sweet soreness in her center. She traced her hand along his side, making him shiver and grunt. She brought her hand right back down. He rolled over to his side, facing away from her. She looked up at the small window in the ceiling, seeing light stream down through it. She wondered at what time it was, figuring they would need to get up soon. She craved another swim alone in the waters nearby, thinking to get dressed and go do that since he looked like he had just fallen back asleep. She threw the blanket over him and inched her way off the futon to get dressed.

She padded softly out of the room, grabbing up a towel before she left. She went up the stairs and out of the building. She went to the edge of the narrow roost, hopping down to the uneven, almost vertical terrain down to the water's edge. She sat the towel down, stripping her clothes right back off before quickly sinking down into the warm waters. She hummed contented, swimming underneath the waters. It was warm down deep, peaceful. She closed her eyes and just let herself float in the middle of the water. She heard movement to her side, opening her eyes. She saw a large fish, bigger than Nail and with sharper teeth swimming right towards her with its jaws open wide. She blasted it, taking it out without a second thought. She watched its dead, grilled body floating towards the top of the water. She felt her stomach growl when she watched it. She shrugged and swam back up to the surface after it.

She broke the surface, following after the predator that thought she would be its prey. She grabbed it by the tail, tugging it towards the land. She threw it up there and followed after it. She toweled off and got dressed, settling herself down for breakfast. She was starting to crave something more than just meat though. She was sitting there like that when Dende found her.

She heard him before she saw him. She looked up at him as he approached. "Wow, you must be really hungry," he commented.

She smiled at him, wiping at her mouth. "More so it was hungry, but I got struck the first blow," she explained. She took another bite. She looked down over at him. "How'd did you sleep?" She questioned, looking him over.

"Alright I guess, but the room on the first floor is quieter than I'm used to since I used to share a room with Cargo," he answered.

She nodded in understanding, having shared a room with Asa for years. She took another bite. "How do you think your friends from Earth are doing?" she asked, recalling him talking her ear off about them when she saw him after she had grown. Apparently the young boy in the group, Gohan, had tried to convince the man, Krillin, of the group to go to Frieza's ship to rescue her, but was convinced to wait until after they got the dragon balls or at least after his father, Goku, arrived. She still found it strange to think to trust them, even if they saved Dende, even if the Great Elder did rule their motives pure. That boy was half Saiyan, and from Earth. It had not taken it long for her to piece together that Goku must have been Raditz's younger brother, Kakarot. That fact did not sit well with her based on her memories of Raditz. They were here for the dragon balls, wanting to wish back the people Vegeta and Napa had killed on their home planet, Earth.

"Hopefully they're okay. Can we use your scouter to check?" he asked again.

She hummed under her breath, wanting to save the battery since it was running low. "We can if Nail is not able to sense them again today," she responded. Dende had reported the two Earthling fighters had been able to sense energy without the aid of the scouters, and that Vegeta learned it from them. Nail could do it, but only those who were either strong, evil, or both. Nail had said he sensed her coming the day she had arrived. She still could not figure out how to do that, wishing she could learn it from Nail the way Vegeta learned it from the Earthlings. She tried to learn from him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

She ate her fill, seeing a good deal of the fish left. She was unsure if she could preserve any of it. She kicked the rest of it into the water for another hungry predator to luck into an easier meal. She reached behind her head, checking to see how dry her hair was by now. She brought her hands up to it, running her fingers through her tangled hair. She braided it back into a fishtail braid behind her back like how her father used to wear his. Then she stood up, stretching. She jumped up, flying back up to the roost, Dende following after her. They went into the Great Elder's room, seeing Nail already there, checking on him. She could sense his unease, knowing he was worried about the Great Elder without having to see his memories from it. He saved him, he raised him, and the kept the whole planet alive. His loyalty was unshakable.

"How is he?" she asked softly, noticing the Great Elder was still sleeping on his throne.

"Still breathing," he commented, tone sounding worried.

She slipped her hand down around his inner wrist soothingly. She leaned against his arm. "If he goes, the dragon balls go?" she asked.

He nodded. "Then the Earthlings won't get their wish," he added, shaking his head.

"Or Vegeta," she echoed, thinking his wish for immortality took precedence.

"The Earthling's wish is noble," he countered.

She dropped her hold on his arm. "If Vegeta becomes immortal, then he can defeat Frieza," she echoed. "The Great Elder even said, Frieza fears the Saiyans so much he destroyed their home planet. Vegeta was the strongest one I ever knew. He's the one to do it."

He grimaced, letting the renewed argument drop. He turned his head to look out the window. "Someone's coming," he said, stepping towards the hole in the floor. She started to follow him, but he raised a hand up. "Wait here, please," he instructed her.

She frowned at that, watching him go. She padded around the circle in the floor, looking out the window at the opposite of the Great Elder's throne. She looked out at it, seeing someone fly up in a rush. It was that Earthling boy, Gohan. She watched Nail great him, unable to hear what they were saying. She looked out the window the direction he came from, frustrated when she sensed nothing. She watched Nail bring Gohan in, with the later seeming like he was in a hurry. He only spared her a quick, confused look. The excitement woke the Great Elder up. Dende was excited to see him, making her a little jealous when he sounded more excited to him than he had when she arrived a few days ago.

The Great Elder placed his hand over top of the Gohan's head, commenting, "this is incredible.. you have tremendous latent power... you are not an Earthling, are you...?"

Gohan fidgeted, asking rudely, "umm... could you please hurry?"

Val frowned at his words, but did not say anything. Nail's head suddenly flicked towards the window. "He's here," he informed.

"Who's here?" she asked, looking up at him.

He did not meet her gaze. His upper lip curled. He looked a lot tenser than he had when he found out Gohan had arrived. "Stay here, please," he repeated. He stepped away, going back through the circle hole in the floor.

She repeated her own actions from a few minutes ago. She shuffled over to the window, looking out. She gasped when she saw Vegeta holding a dragon ball down there, with the other Earthling, Krillin landing next to him. She turned around, rushed over to the circle, and jumped through it.

Nail was standing at the door. "I am not going to let you go in," he declared, harsh gaze turned on Vegeta.

Vegeta seemed to rise to the challenge. "They call this 'assisted suicide,'" he threatened, balling up his free had into a fist.

"No," Val breathed, slipping out the door and putting herself right in front of Nail. She raised her arms up. She felt certain she was no match for him, but maybe just her standing there would make him back down. He had freed her after all.

"Kiri, move aside, please," Nail requested behind, lowering down her arms.

She hesitated, not wanting to move in case a fight broke out. "No, and you're not supposed to call me that in front of others," she said, turning her head over her shoulder just enough to tell him personally.

"Kiri...?" Vegeta thought out loud, sounding like he half recognized the name.

"Kiri? But Dende said his adopted sister's name was Val," Krillin said behind Vegeta. "But last time I saw her, she was a lot smaller than that. She glowed up real fast." She looked at him curiously. "Uh... hi," he laughed out. Nail behind her loosed a low grumble. "Ah... never mind," he added, raising his hands up in front of him.

Vegeta looked behind him at Krillin, back over her head at Nail, and then down at her. He looked her straight in the eye and laughed. "You what-? You grew, and, you didn't? With one the locals?" he managed out between laughs. "Raditz would be rolling in his grave to see this. His plan to save the Saiyan race is completely doomed now."

She scowled at him, not stepping away still. Krillin asked, "what does Goku's brother have to do with any of that?"

Vegeta was still laughing slightly when he answered, "was her fiancé."

"Raditz was engaged to a kid? But how is she not a kid anymore?" Krillin pressed. "She's matured a lot in the past few days."

"Not a willing engagement on my part," she rushed out.

"She's an anthromorph, and then don't mature unless triggered," Nail answered for her behind her. He placed his hand on the outside of her left shoulder, pushing his way from behind her to next to her.

"And that thing next to you triggered you?" Vegeta snickered.

"Shut-" she started, but watched all three of them snapped their attention up to the building next to her.

"What?" Vegeta questioned.

"Woohoo! Gohan's energy increased!" Krillin cheered.

"So Kakarot must be here!" Vegeta guessed incorrectly. "Get out here!" he shouted. Someone did come out, but it was Gohan who stepped out and stood next to Nail. "What...?! It's you...?! What did you do in there? Why did your power suddenly increase?!"

Before anyone else could say anything, Dende came rushing out, saying, "Listen! The Great Elder says that someone else is coming?!"

"What?" Val asked, not understanding. She frowned, not sensing anyone or anything. She wished she had her scouter, but it was tucked away in Nail's room.

"The Great Elder?" Vegeta asked.

"I-it's true! Something is really coming!" Krillin said in amazement.

"It's a huge power!" Gohan commented.

"It's Goku! Goku's finally here!" Krillin cheered.

"B-but there's something funny..." Gohan added. "It... it feels like more than one...!"

Val felt herself pale at that news. "More than one? How many?" She silently prayed he would not say five.

"It can't be... the Ginyu Force!" Vegeta looked up at the sky in panic. He started counting, making her heart sink. "One... two... three... four... five of them!" He looked down, meeting her eyes since she alone knew what he was talking about in the area. "That coward Frieza called the Ginyu Force!"

She shook her head at him disbelievingly. "Not them..." she winced out. She recalled memories from when Raditz once paraded her in front of them, hoping she would grow for one of them and how angry he was that she did not. When Vegeta heard him shout at her, he shouted right back at him to go find someone stronger then.

He rounded on Gohan, grabbing him by the collar. "Give me the dragon ball! Now!"

Nail tensed up. Val raised her hand up to stay him.

"N-no! Never!" Gohan shouted back in response.

Vegeta shouted right back, "I swear that I'll leave you in peace if you do! No do it- or it'll be too late!"

Krillin stepped closer. "Y-you think we're going to fall for that?! I know you think we're stupid, but come on!"

Vegeta let Gohan go, snapping, "listen, idiot! Every member of the Ginyu Force is about as... no, they could be stronger than me! And there are five of them! They'll find your ball with their scouters and come to kill us all!"

Val reached her hand to catch Nail's, knowing everything he said was true. He returned her grip.

"N-no... it can't be.." Krillin griped.

"Don't you feel their power?!" Vegeta countered. "There's only one way! Make me immortal so that I can defeat them!"

Val nodded. "It's the best plan," she added in loud enough for them all to hear her.

Nail dropped his hold on her hand. "He could be telling the truth... I do feel five evil powers..."

Krillin looked nervous at that. "We could make Gohan immortal," he said, grasping at straws.

Val shook her head. "Even if he had the power, there's no way he has experience in battle like Vegeta does!" she pointed out.

Krillin looked conflicted. "But then everything we've fought for..." he groaned.

Nail spoke up next, confessing, "the dragon balls can grant three wishes."

"What, but all the information Frieza had on them was only one wish?" she questioned. She felt annoyed he had not passed along this information in either his shared memories or the few days they spent together.

"I'm sure you could have both your wishes," he informed them, looking tight lipped still.

"Three?! It's not just one?!" Gohan asked.

Vegeta shouted, "hurry up! It'll be your fault if we run out of time!"

Krillin gave in. "A-all right... follow us!" Nail clamped his hand down on hers. She looked up at him in surprise. "But you'd better keep your promise!"

The three of them flew off at blazing speed. She could hear Vegeta shout at them, "move as fast as you can!"

She twisted her hand out of Nail's grip, looking up at him annoyed. "Three? There are three wishes?" she repeated. "Here I thought there was only one."

"That needed kept secret so the wishes will not be wasted on the impure of heart," he said done to her. "Only for Namekians to know."

She looked up at him, gaping. "And I guess my being adopted and bonded to you doesn't count?" she blurted out.

"Kiri," he said her name like a warning. "If the Moori or the Great Elder wanted you know any of that information, then it's their place to have told you, not mine."

She sighed at that, accepting the answer. "Well, maybe I should go ask him then. Find out what other secrets are being kept from me," she said, stomping off towards the building. By the time she got up to the Great Elder, her temper had cooled off just enough to keep her from wanting to say anything. Nail was right behind her.

"Looks like they left..." The Great Elder wheezed.

She bite her lip, her temper cooled off completely, not wanting to pick a fight with this sick, ancient man of all people. "Yes..." was all she said.

"But even if things go well, their chances are slim," Nail admitted next to her.

"Nail, Val, go with them. You both might help them... a little bit..." the Great Elder told them.

"But..." Nail said, stepping up to rest his hand at the Great Elder's side.

"Don't mind me... I'll last a little longer yet," the Great Elder encouraged.

"As you wish!" Nail ruled, bowing low.

Val mimicked his bow. He turned and grabbed her hand, pulling her down the circle hole. He seemed almost excited at the idea of being in a fight. "Wait," she said, loosing her hand from his grip.

"What? Why?" he asked her, sounding short.

"My scouter," she said, rushing down the stairs to their room when he would rather they be rushing out the door.

He followed her down to the room they had been sharing. She grabbed the scouter, not powering it on, but putting it in her pocket. "You don't need it, you'll be flying with me. I can sense them," he argued.

She rushed out the door, going around him. "I want it just in case. I can't sense anyone like you can," she reminded him, feeling annoyed at how he failed to teach her how to do that. At times they got distracted by each other.

She heard him huff at that, but not make anymore argument. They both ran outside and took off flying.
