The next morning Fran couldn't help but smile when she walked into Penelope's room and saw Derek and Penelope all cuddled up together and they were sleeping so peacefully that she hated to bother them but Penelope had an early session with Amelia after breakfast and Fran wanted to make sure that she was up and ready when Amelia arrived.
She walked over to the bed and touched her son on the arm and his eyes flew open, he smiled and said, "morning ma", Fran said, "morning yourself baby boy, how did the rest of the night go, were you able to get any sleep?" Derek said, "yeah, she drifted off to sleep a few minutes after everybody left and me not long after that."
Fran said, "that's good, listen I hated to wake you up but Amelia is going to be here around 9:00 for her session with Penelope and I wanted you both to have some breakfast with us before time for her session." Derek nodded his head and said, "Okay, momma, I'll wake her up and we'll be out in a few minutes." Fran grinned, turned around and headed out of the room so that Derek could wake Penelope up so she could get ready for breakfast.
Derek gently touched her cheek and said, "sweetness, it's time to wake up," she said, "don't wanna, let me sleep", Derek sighed and said, "I'm more than willing to stay in bed like this butttt Amelia is supposed to be here at 9:00 for your session and ma wants us to have some breakfast with her and Dave before she arrives."
Penelope said, "okayyyyyyy" as she slowly rolled out of Derek's arms, threw the covers back, and got up out of bed as she walked across the room and grabbed some clothes Clooney and Mudgie were right on her heels. As she stepped into her bathroom Derek said, "I'll be right back I'm going to go change my clothes but if you need me just yell okay?" she said, "thanks Angelfish I will" as she shut the bathroom door.
Derek quickly got up and went into his room, changed his clothes, and hurried back to her room. He didn't want her to come out of the bathroom and him not be there because he was afraid that she would have another flashback to that night. When he walked into her room he said, "baby girl I'm back" she giggled and said, "I'll be right out handsome" and it was only a matter of a few seconds before the door opened up and she stepped out.
She looked beautiful, she was dressed casually but ohhhh she looked so beautiful, he smiled at her and said, "you look amazing this morning", Penelope said, "awwww, thank you agent 00sexy" and he laughed and shook his head to the new nickname. He held out his arm and said, "ready for some breakfast?" She looped her arm through his and said, "lead the way sugar, lead the way."
They walked from her room, up the hall, and through the living room as they headed to the dining room to join Dave, Fran, and the girls for a delicious breakfast before everybody started their days. Breakfast was delicious as usual and Fran had definitely outdone herself again with the amazing food she had prepared, they all enjoyed their food together as a family and as they sat around the table they talked about their plans for the day.
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "sweetness after your session, how about later today you and I go on a little picnic"?, she grinned at him and said, "a picnic"?, Derek said, "yes mam, a picnic, there is a beautiful spot here on the grounds that I would love to show you, but that is only if you are up to it."
Penelope said, "I would love to go on a picnic with you later", Derek smiled at her and said, "that's great", he looked down at the two whining dogs on the floor and said, "don't worry the two of you can come too" and both dogs barked and started wagging their tails causing everybody to laugh.
After breakfast, Dave was heading to the office for a few hours and the girls were getting ready to head out, they had a few things to do and Fran was going to be working on a few things while Penelope was in her session, Derek and Penelope were walking into the living room when they heard someone ringing the doorbell, they walked over to the door and when Derek looked through the peephole he said, "it's Bryan, he must be on guard duty this morning."
Derek opened the door and said, "come in, come in", Bryan said, "morning Derek, Penelope", they both said, "good morning" in unison as he stepped inside, and just as Derek was getting ready to close the door Amelia called his name as she walked up the path toward the front door.
He said, "come in, come in Amelia", she smiled at him and said, "good morning everybody", the trio said, "good morning" as they all headed through the house to the living room. Derek had introduced Bryan as one of Penelope's guards before they left the room so that Penelope's session could start.
Amelia said, "would you like to maybe go outside for your session, it's such a beautiful morning"?, Penelope said, "sure, sounds good, sounds good" as they walked through the living room and outside to the back yard. Clooney and Mudgie were right on their heels, they didn't want to let Penelope out of their sight.
Bryan was standing inside so as to not disturb her session, he glanced over his shoulder and saw Penelope smiling beautifully, he sighed and turned back around as her session started.
