Attacked-Ch 28
Derek kissed Penelope on the cheek and said, "I'll leave you two lovely ladies so you can continue your session", Penelope grinned and said, "see ya later hotstuff", he winked at her and said, "count on it sweetness" as he left the room. Out in the hall he ran into Bryan and said, "it's okay she's going to be in session with Amelia for a while so you can go and take a break", Bryan nodded his head and said, "thanks" and turned around and walked away, he didn't want to stay when it was obvious they wanted privacy.
Amelia looked at Penelope and said, "how about we go outside for this session"?, she said, "sure, sounds good to me" as they walked across the room and out onto the patio and sat down in the swing. Amelia looked at Penelope and said, "are you sure that you want to try hypnosis Penelope, you don't have to if you don't think you can handle it".
Penelope said, "I'll do anything that I can in order for us to catch the bastard that hurt me and 10 other women", Amelia turned to face Penelope and said, "alright I want you to take nice big deep breaths and focus only on the sound of my voice and on your breathing". Penelope took one deep breath and let it out and then another and another as she listened to the soft soothing voice of her friend.
Amelia said, "alright Penelope when I count backwards from 5 you will get more and more relaxed, you are safe and nothing can bother you, okay"?, Penelope said, "okay" as Amelia said, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1". Amelia said, "okay Penelope you had a hard day at work but were looking forward to having a night out with some friends followed up by a movie night with your best friend so I need you to tell me what happened after you came out of the bathroom that night".
Penelope started telling her everthing that had happened, how hands grabbed her and covered her mouth, how she tried to get away and how that only got her slapped and stabbed for her efforts. She then told of how the more she struggled the more heated her attacker became and how she lost consciousness as her head hit her bed frame as she hit the floor.
Tears were streaming down Penelopes face and Amelia said, "he's not here Penelope, you're here with me and you're safe, nothing can bother you here" and Penelope seemed to calm down. Amelia said, "do you remember anything else about your attacker, earlier in another session you mentioned a smell, what exactly was that smell"?, Penelope said, "it was a strong cologne, it was a very overpowering scent and it made me nauseous'.
Amelia said, "do you see anything, a tattoo, a birthmark, anything"?, Penelope said, "no, wait, wait, yes, yes I saw something on his arm it was a small tattoo it was like an infinity symbol". Amelia said, "that's good Penelope but on what hand do you remember"?, Penelope said, "his left, yes it was on his left arm, it's on his left arm".
Penelope listened to the sound of Amelias voice as she said, "alright good Penelope, very good, now I'm going to count backwards from 5 and when I snap my fingers you are going to be relaxed and calm". Penelope sat as Amelia said, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" and snapped her fingers".
Her eyes flew open and she said, "I remembered a symbol on his arm but how didn't I remember it before"?. Amelia said, "trauma can block out chunks or all memories of a certain situation to protect the person from painful situations". Penelope smiled and siad, "I need to tell Derek, I need to tell the team" and she got up and started walking toward the door with Amelia, Clooney and Mudgie right behind her.
When they walked into the kitchen Derek was there talking to his mom and sisters, he turned around and said, "hey sweetness, how was the session"?, Penelope said, "I had a breakthrough Derek". He said, "a breakthrough, what happened"?, Penelope looked at Amelia and then at the others and said, "I remembered a tattoo on my attackers arm, his left arm".
Derek said, "that's great news baby girl, what did the tattoo look like"?, she said, "it was an infinity symbol", he hugged her gently and said, "that's great baby girl, I can't wait to tell the others" as he ran from the room pulling his cell from his pocket. Amelia looked at her and said, "for now it might be better if you keep this information about what you remembered to yourself, yourself and your family, just to be on the safe side".
Penelope nodded her head yes in agreement and said, "thank you so much for my session today Amelia", Amelia grinned at her and said, "you're very welcome and I'm so glad that you were able to remember something, I just hope that it helps them catch the man that hurt you and the other women".
Fran said, "would you like to stay for lunch, JJ and Emily should be here in a few minutes"?, Amelia said, "I would love to but I have another session scheduled in half an hour, how about a raincheck"?, Fran grinned and said, "sure anytime Amelia, anytime" as her and Penelope watched Amelia turn around and head out of the kitchen,, Fran smiled and said, "I'll walk you to the door", she said, "thank you Fran" as the two women walked to the door.
Meanwhile outside Derek said, "that's right Hotch, she remembered an infinity symbol on his left arm, now that gives us something to go on, nobody else has been able to remember a tattoo". Hotch said, "we'll start looking at the tattoo registry and see if we can find anything and then we will let you know if we have any luck", Derek said, "thanks, catch up with ya later" as he headed back inside.
When he got to the dining room he heard laughing, he stepped into the room and saw Penelope, JJ, Emily, Fran and his sisters sitting at the table enjoying a delicious lunch together. Derek said, "well is this a private party or can anybody join"?, JJ said, "what do you think Garcie should we let him join us"?, she looked at him and said, "uhhhh I don't know" and Derek said, "come on baby girl let your man eat with you".
She laughed and said, "well since you put it that way sure you can join us angel fish" and he grabbed himself a plate and sat down with the women and enjoyed a delicious meal and in the meantime Bryan was doing a patrol with the other agents, little did he know that Penelope had remembered something that might end his reign of terror on Penelope and her look a likes forever
