Attacked-Ch 32

As Derek stood there holding her he gave a sigh of relief, he was so glad that his baby girl was safe, that she along with Clooney and Mudgie were able to fight off Bryan until help could arrive. Penelope said, "Derek, I I I need to sit down" and he nodded his head yes as he helped her over to sit down on the couch and then he sat down beside her.

JJ and Emily stood looking down at her and JJ said, "are you okay Garcie"?, she said, "y y yeah, it's just that everything is catching up with me now that's all" and Reid said, "are you sure that he didn't hurt you"?, she looked up at him and said, "I'm sure boy wonder, I'm fine, he wasn't able to do anything to me this time".

Fran got down on her knees in front of Penelope and said, "honey you didn't do anything wrong, you did what you had to do to survive" and Penelope looked at her and as tears streamed down her cheeks she wrapped her arms around Fran and finally completely broke down.

Derek's heart broke as he watched the woman that had stolen his heart was once again broken, he put his hand on her back and gently rubbed it up and down her back trying to console her. As Fran held her in her arms she said, "that's it sweetheart, let it out, let it allllllll out" and Penelope did as the sound of her crying filled the room.

As she pulled back a few minutes later she said, "h h he admitted that he was the one that attacked me, he bragged about how easy it was for him to get my key, what kind of person does that"? Fran said, "oh honey I learned a long time ago that this world is filled with stupid and evil people but the important thing is that it's over, it's finally over and he can't hurt you anymore".

Penelope smiled and said, "it's finally over", Derek smiled and said, "you can finally heal baby girl, you can finally heal", she turned and wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head in his chest and said, "I love you, I love you all so much, thank you for everything you did for me, you all went way above and beyond to help me and i will forever be grateful to you".

Dave said, "kitten we're a family and they stick together and we will always and I mean always be here for you" and as she looked around at the rest of her family they were all nodded their heads yes in agreement. A few seconds later Clooney and Mudgie jumped up on the couch and laid their heads on her lap, she rubbed their heads in agreement.

Hotch looked down at Penelope and said, "do you feel like giving your statement"?, Penelope bit down on her lip and nodded her head yes, she looked up to see a female detective walking over to her. Fran said, "we'll go and let you make your statement" and as everybody got up she weakly smiled at her and as Derek started to step away she said, "c ca can you stay with me"?, he looked at the female detective and she nodded her head yes.

Derek sat there and held her hand as she started giving her statement, he sat listening at her as she told everything that had happened from the time he left until they led Bryan away in handcuffs. When Penelope was finished with her statement the detective thanked her, shook her hand and said, "you are one of the bravest women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting" and then smiled as she walked away.

Derek slid his arm around Penelopes waist and kissed the top of her head and said, "I couldn't agree more" and then they walked away to rejoin the others.
