Attacked-Ch 35

Derek woke up the next morning with the sun beaming through the curtains, he rubbed his eyes and then looked down at the beautiful woman at his side and smiled, it wasn't a dream, he had really made love to Penelope. He kissed the top of her head and laid there holding her close to him for a few minutes before she started moving around a little, he said, "morning beautiful".

She looked over her shoulder and said, "morning handsome", she then rolled over and kissed him gently and said, "so it wasn't a dream, last night, it was, it was real, it really happened". Derek said, "no it wasn't a dream, it really happened sweetness, last night actually happened" and she smiled as she carressed his cheek.

As he looked her in the eyes he said, "do you regret last night"?, she shook her head and said, "no, I could never ever regret last night, what happened between us was amazing, you were so kind, loving and patient with me and I have dreamed of making love to you for a long long time".

Derek said, "as have I but after everything you went through yesterday with Bryan I don't want you to think that I took advantage of the situation when we" and she put her finger over his lips and said, "listen to me handsome, you didn't take advantage of me, I love you and I wanted you last night and I want you today and will want you every day from now on".

He smiled at her and said, "and I will always want you but were you really ready for us to be together"?, she said, "I was ready handsome, I needed to push away the memories of my assault, I needed to replace those memories with something good and trust me when I say that last night was good, it was very very good".

Derek laughed and said, "I would have to agree with you there, last night was amazing, it's never been like that for me, not ever baby girl, not ever" and she leaned in and brushed her lips against his and said, "and it's never been like that for me either Derek, last night was better than anything I could have ever dreamed of, the way you held me, kissed me, caressed every part of my body as you made love to me, everything was perfect, pure perfection".

He rested his forehead against hers and said "I agree, last night was perfect and as much as I wish we could stay here in this bed and revisit last night, unfortunately we have to get up and face the cruel cruel world". She laid her head down on his chest and said, "do we have toooooooo, maybe we can stay here for a few more hours"?, he opened his mouth to speak when they heard a knock on his bedroom door.

Derek looked over his shoulder and said, "yes, who is it"?, Desi said, "it's me big brother, ma wanted me to tell you and Penelope that breakfast is almost ready", Derek said, "okay, thanks Desi, we'll be out in a few minutes". Desiree said, "sure thing" and turned around and headed back to rejoin the others in the living room so that her brother and Penelope could get up and get dressed

They didn't know that Derek and Penelope had made love the night before but they assumed that they had spent the night in the same bed considering everything she had gone through with Bryan earlier in the day. A few minutes later the new lovers made their way through the house hand-in-hand and headed to the dining room to join the others for breakfast.

As they stepped into the room Penelope said, "ohhh that smells amazing" and Fran said, "good morning you two, did you sleep well"?, Penelope blushed and Derek said, "yeah ma we slept great"/ He looked at Penelope and said, "didn't we sweetness"?, she grinned and said, "yeah, we slept great last night Fran" and Fran winked at the younger woman and said, "that's good to hear honey".

Dave looked at Penelope and said, "kitten how are you doing after yesterday"?, Penelope said, "better, now that I know why he did what he did and how he got into my apartment and now that he is behind bars where he belongs". Derek said, "don't worry sweetness, we won't let anything else happen to you, Bryan is going to spend the rest of his rotten life in jail where he belongs", she sighed happily and took a sip of her juice as Fran said, "alright everybody dig in, dig in" and they all did as the five of them started enjoying the delicious breakfast that was sitting in front of them.
