THE HOTEL SUITE
Lily was dreaming of her family living peacefully in a large mansion. The elves Mikey and Minnie were serving food as they celebrated Harry's birthday.
She was about to give her present to Harry, when a large shout from the adjacent room broke through her sleep.
"NOO!" Came the voice.
She immediately threw the duvet and rushed to Harry's room, only to find the subject thrashing in his sleep.
"Oh hell" She muttered as she ran to his bed, settling on the edge and shook him.
"Harry, Harry, you're just having a nightmare, sweetie" She cooed softly in his ears.
But Harry didn't hear her as he continued to battle with the sheets and shielded himself from whatever it was haunting him.
"Harry, come on, wake up, son" Lily muttered in his ears. She wished she knew Leglimency, then she could pry into his dream and pull him out.
She caught his hands in hers, caressing the back of his palm with her thumbs.
"Harry, honey, wake up, everything is alright, you're safe, and you're good." She shouted this time not too loud but still harder than before.
This seems to do break the barrier as Harry woke up gasping.
"Mum" Were the first words that came out of his mouth as he jumped on Lily's waiting arms and hugged her tightly.
But the hug end too soon for her good, Lily thought as he broke it off and pulled himself away from her, in an apologizing position.
"I'm so sorry to wake you up, ma'am" He said.
"What? Harry, there is nothing to apologize for. It's okay to have nightmares." She said, hugging him. Then lowered down her voice, "to tell you the truth, I have them sometimes too".
"Really, you have nightmares" He asked.
"Mhh hmm" She nodded to him.
Harry looked at her, it was very hard to believe her, adults simply don't have nightmares, or it at least was his theory.
"What do you do? To make them stop?" He asked.
"Well, I hold something dear to me close and snuggle into it. It makes me feel that I'm not alone"
"Ca... Ca... Can...can.. I mean... If it's... Not trouble" He stuttered.
"What is it, sweetie? You can say it to me" Said Lily.
"Will you stay with me, here?" He questioned.
"Ohh Harry, of course, I'd love to if you want me to." She said.
"Oh, yes, I want you to" He said almost immediately.
"Well then let's get you some sleep" She scooted closer under the covers.
Harry, a few seconds later, felt his arms move around and wrap themselves around her and snuggled close to her while she hummed a tune to him.
In a such a sweet, loving embrace, it took no time for Harry to fall asleep. Lily too was on the apex of the sleep interface when a soft voice filled her senses with elation.
"Thanks, mum" Harry whispered sleepily as he wrapped himself tightly around her.
Lily gasped softly as he said that, she felt tears welling up in her eyes as she snuggled him close and closed her eyes too, giving up on the whole exhaustion of the day.

Next morning.
Harry woke up to find him alone in the bed. He did remember calling the kind lady at night, after he had a nightmare. She held him until he fell asleep, and he remembered saying something to her, but just couldn't recall what.
He sat up to find his room was decorated with balloons and flowers, Lots of them. He looked around to see if someone's around but found no one.
He got off the bed to walk in to the living area of the suite. The hallway and living room too was decorated in the same fashion. He could hear a soft humming tone coming from somewhere around.
He wondered if the lady did all. But even if it is, why so. What's the occasion? She didn't say anything about today being a special day for her.
Or maybe it's not for her, what if she knew it's...
"Happy birthday, Harry, dear" Lily chorused as she walked in with a large tray containing breakfast. For all Harry could think, she looked like an angel of beauty. The motherly beauty. He marvelled if his mother too looked so beautiful. Well, Of course, she'd be. She's mother.
He watched in amazement as she settled the breakfast tray on the dining table and came up to him. She bent down to give him a big hug and kissed his cheek.
Harry flushed as he felt his skin heat where she kissed. No one did that to him.
"Thank you" He said, blushing as hard as he never did in his life. Not that he has anytime before.
"What?" Lily asked as she saw him blushing.
"How did you know that-"
"Today is your birthday" Lily finished for him. She laughed as she ushered him to the table.
"All in good time, Harry. I have an answer for you, but that has to wait until after the breakfast. Come on, now" She said as she served him breakfast of eggs, waffles, and pancakes.
"Wow" He said as he looked up at her happily and dived into his breakfast.
Lily smiled as she watched her son looking so happy while eating. She wished she'd be there sooner for him. She thought of the decision she took this morning.
She changes it almost every minute since the morning. Furthermore, she didn't know how he will take it. He has started to like her, from what she could decipher out of his behaviour. But will he take her as..
"Ma'am" Harry said a little loud.
"Huhh. What?" She said, looking at him. How long was she out?
"I'm sorry to disturb you" He said.
"No, no, it's okay. What were you saying" She cut off his apology.
"How did you do all this? And why? And also who are you?" Harry asked.
Lily laughed that sweet laugh of hers again. "Oh, Harry. You really are very sweet." She sighed and continued, "well, I had a whole morning to plan this, and besides I didn't even burn a drop of calorie for all this. I had help." She smirked as she fingered her wand in her jeans' pocket. "Of the management, of course"
"And as to who I am" She blew a breath again, "I have something to tell you. Which will answer your next question as well, which is how did I know your birthday" She smiled sweetly again.
"Okay" Harry replied, looking at her in question.
"Harry, my name is Lily... Lily Potter. I'm your mother, Harry"

Dumbledore's office.
"The boy isn't there, Albus" The old Arabella Figg told the headmaster.
"Do you know where he went? Or if there was someone who took him?" He asked in return.
"No, Actually, I was out of the town. I had a kneazle to deliver." She answered.
"I see. So first Lily walks away to Merlin knows where, and then Harry too disappears. What are Dursleys doing about it?" He asked her again.
"They are all too happy about it to do anything" Mrs Figg answered.
"Well, thank you then, Arabella. I'll keep you informed, and you do to me" He nodded at her as she walked in the direction of floo and went back home.
"Doesn't she have a hiding spot somewhere. Muggles do that a lot in their teenage." Came a voice from the wall behind him.
Albus looked up to see Phineas Black's portrait staring down at him. "Well, nowadays, everyone does, not only muggles, Phineas. Although I appreciated your thought. Maybe she had something like that. I don't know."
Phineas nodded and closed his eyes again feigning sleep just like all other portraits in the room.
"But she won't hide long. I know it. She'll come to see James, definitely. We just have to wait. And watch." He muttered before walking out of the room to take a stroll around the castle.
_.. . . . . .
Harry stared in confusion as the words the kind lady said registered in his mind. His mouth hung open as he pondered how he felt at that revelation. Was he happy? That he has a mum now who loves him, who will take care of him as much as Petunia did with Dudley. Was he angry? That after so many years of loneliness, she shows up now and just like will take him up. Was he in denial? That this all is just a dream, and she never said anything like that, or he hasn't woken up from tomorrow. He's still sleeping in that cupboard in number four Privet Drive.
"Say something, son" Lily ushered him to speak. The silence was killing her. She couldn't decipher anything from his face. It was stony and plane. Expressionless.
But her words seem to do the trick as tears started to flow from his eyes. He sat there, head hung, tears streaming, falling into his lap. And in an almost unbearable voice he spoke, "Mum", looking up at her.
Lily left her chair to go pickup the small boy and grabbed him in a hug which may crush many bones in his body. She hugged him tight as he sobbed softly on her shoulder, soaking her shirt.
"Why? Why did you leave me with them? They are bad, very bad." He whispered as he found his voice between the sobs.
Lily kissed his temple, "I'm so sorry, son. I really am. It was not an option to me. I wasn't even there, when you were sent to them. You were supposed to go to the people who love you, I didn't even know before today that I'll find you there. But I'm happy I did."
"You won't go away again, will you?" He asked, almost scared of her answer.
She pulled away to look him in the eye, her eyes showed no signs of doubt or uncertainty as she said, "No, no one's going anywhere now, Harry. You, me, your father, we'll live together now. In fact, we're going to see him tomorrow, if you are up for it."
"My dada" He asked looking up at her. At her nod, he smiled with teary eyes and said, "yes. I want to meet him too."
"And we will. But first, remember your dada is currently not well, so he is sleeping. I'll tell you more when we will go to see him. But today we have a big day to manage, so we'll see about that" Lily informed him.
"Big day" He asked.
"Yes, honey, big and important day. It's your birthday, so there's no better day than today to learn about the world you are a part of" She spoke happily.
"World" He was still confused.
She chuckled at his expression and pulled him manually towards the bathroom. "You'll see. For now, get ready. We have to hurry, if we want to do it all today."
Harry walked to the bathroom, still confused but paid no mind to it. He finally had his mum. That's more than anything he had hoped for in his life. He had a family. A mum, who cares and loves him, and a father, who he still has to meet. This has already been his best birthday ever. But little did he know it's just the beginning.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The reality of what Harry was seeing today was above any realm of his common sense. A day ago, he was residing in a swamp like house in Privet drive. Among a family who never really considered him a part of them, never cared for him, much less fed him nicely.
And today he has a mum, who loved him unconditionally, cared for him, fed him good food, hugged and kissed him once a while. Told him stories of his childhood, Stories of his father. Not to mention he was living in a beautiful big hotel suite.
The icing on the cake was what he was seeing now. He didn't have words to describe the amazement of the situation. And he was being told this was his World. Maybe it's really a dream after all, or some kind of prank.
His mother might have read his mind because she spoke, "it's not a dream, Harry"
He looked up at her, as her voice invaded his thoughts. She returned his smile of amazement as she knelt down to his level.
"Too much for the day" She said, raising her eyebrow.
"I... I.. Don't... Know. It's just.. " Harry stuttered deciding on his words. "It's just, I can't believe everything is changing so fast. Yesterday and today is just so different."
"I can't believe I'm a magician" He said after a pause.
"Wizard" Lily correct him.
"Oh, yes. And that this all magic, coming and going in air, flying things with a stick-"
"Wand" She corrected him again.
"-with a wand and doing tricks. Will I be able to do it too" He asked, curiosity evident in his emerald orbs.
"Yes, with proper training and education." Lily informed him.
"School?"
"Yes, obviously. But not just any muggle school. A special school for wizards and witches. It's called Hogwarts. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Your father went there, so did I."
"Muggle?" A question again from the curious boy.
Lily chuckled at his questioning behaviour, he sure was her son. "Very inquisitive. You get that from me." She kissed his cheek. "As for your question, muggle is the one who is not wizard or witch. Who doesn't know about our wizarding world. Get it"
Harry nodded with understanding. After the complete tour of the wizarding village, they were in. Lily took him with her to the place where it all started. The Godric's Hollows.
They flooed to a café near the St Jerome's church. Lily kept hers and Harry's hood on so that they can hide their face for the time being. She didn't want Dumbledore tracking her down. Just not yet. She still has to make up her mind about talking to him.
They walked up to the graveyard behind the church and entered it through the double doors.
"Mum, why are we here?" Harry asked.
Lily's mood inflated every time he said that to her, 'mum', she will never have the enough of it. "To check the audacity of some old minds" She replied with a knowing smirk.
Sure enough, there were two graves in the third last lane of the graveyard. The thing which got Harry's eye to pop out was engravings on the stones.
James Fleamont Potter
1960 – 1981
Lily Evans Potter
1960 – 1981
The last enemy that shall be defeated is death.
"Mum, why-"
"Are your father's and mine name there on the stones" She chuckled, "don't worry. It won't be now"
Lily raised her wand and broke the two gravestones into small pieces.
"See. All good now"
Harry winced at the small blast of offensive spell and moved closer to his mother.
"It's alright, dear. Now come, we have some shopping to do." She said as she took his hand and marched out of the St Jerome's graveyard.
"Shopping?" Harry asked, once they were in the main road. Lily manoeuvred him towards a secluded part of town. She looked down at him and said,
"Harry, dear, I was not there in your life for such a long time. I know I couldn't make up for everything, but I sure can do the spoiling part of it" She muttered with a contagious smile, which was replicated by her son.
"Now remember, as I told you, this will feel like being sucked into a rubber tube. And after knight bus and floo this is our third way of travelling." Lily informed him, being the teaching mother once in a while.
Harry nodded as he grabbed his mum's hand and closed his eyes. And seconds later, he felt the exact same things his mother described seconds before.
***************************************
The next day
They appeared in an empty alley. Harry closed his eyes and grimaced as his stomach's contents tried to spill themselves out. He almost retched but managed to hold himself together.
"Your father will be so proud, usually people vomit on their first apparition. I did too" Lily complimented him with a chuckled at her last sentence.
He looked thoughtful at that revelation. When he did overcome with the sickness of apparition, he looked around. He looked confused as to why did they come to such a lone and deserted place after being in such a joyful and merry place just seconds before.
Lily, as she always did, caught up with his unasked question, "you'll soon find out" She said grinning.
They reached a departmental store named Purge and Dowse, Ltd. There was signboard hanging outside the store which states 'Closed for Refurbishment'. He got more perplexed as he saw him mum stopping in front of the shop.
"Follow me" She stated and walked forward and came up to a window. Harry did as she asked and followed her, standing beside her as she looked through the glass.
"Are we thieving" Harry asked, suddenly unable to keep his curiosity at bay.
"What!? No, Harry, not at all" Lily chuckled at his thinking. She looked around for something particularly and when she did find it, "come here, I've got one more thing to teach you".
She pointed to an ugly dummy with green pinafore dress, "You see that dummy over there", at his nod she further continued, "Tell him we're here to see James Potter".
Harry looked at her as if she was joking, she doesn't expect him to fall for her trick, or it wasn't a trick. Harry stared at the dummy and took his chance, muttering softly, "We are here to James Potter, my father".
The dummy suddenly moved and beckoned them through the window. Harry couldn't believe he actually saw that, but then again It was nothing compared to several other things he saw and learned today. Including those two frog head like creatures. They had names, Mikey and Minnie. It was the scariest moment of the day for him.
He and Lily entered through the window, and then as if the scenario suddenly flipped. He was inside an all different place. There were different kinds of people, some wearing cloaks, but there were a very few who wore lime green coloured clothes. They must be the nurses, Harry thought.
"Come on now, trust me you don't want to hang around here longer than necessary." Lily stated and took his hand and guided him through the stairs to the permanent residents floor.
When in the required corridor, Lily put on her hood and walked ahead with Harry in tow. As they reached a rather well-maintained room towards the end of the corridor, Lily halted and so did Harry.
He looked up to see the door they had stopped before. It had a name plate on it which clearly states who the room belongs to.
'Potters: James And Lily'
"Come on, Harry" Lily said and opened the door to let themselves in.
Upon entering the room, the first thing Harry seeing is a well-built man lying on the first bed from the door. The bed adjacent to it was empty. And he quickly concluded that must have been his mother's. As she told him before during the magical tour.
Lily saw James sleeping peacefully in his bed. After so many years, conscious and unconsciously, her heart still falls in love all over for him every time she sees him. Who would have thought the man she'd been avoiding and cursing her whole school life would be her husband. Her first and only love. The true soul mate.
Albeit, her heart still aches for him to hold her, hug her, kiss her and tell her that everything's gonna be right just because he's a Marauder.
"Mum, is that—"
"Your father. James Fleamont Potter" Lily answered his unfinished question.
"You said he is unwell. Is he resting?" Harry asked.
"Yes, honey. He is resting, from a long time. But he must know that now it's time to get well." Lily muttered, "and that is why I brought you to meet him".
Harry looked at his father, for an odd reason, he thought he looked like him. He remembered Lily telling him that he'd be surprised to find the similarities between him and his father. He doubted her, but those words were true, as now he can see. Even there were a pair of glasses on the bedside table. So, that may me another trait he inherited from his father, he wondered.
He walked ahead, close to his father. Lily was astonished at the close resemblance between father and son, but with her emerald eyes. For her, this was among the top three best moments of her life.
Harry raised his hand slowly and tentatively, afraid as if something will happen when he will touch his father. But nothing happened as he slowly and carefully touched his father's cheek. He wondered for a second how many times he'd have kissed this cheek, but quickly dismissed that thought.
He still was so unsure about all this. It was good to have parents and all, but this new life was so full of confusion for him. This magic things, those creatures, magic school everything was too much for his small immature brain to grab. But still, he was here trying to live up to this new life.
"He'd so proud of you, son" Lily muttered caressing James' hairs, "for everything you have of him, his face cut, his smile, his eyesight, that awfully loving nest he calls hairs" She chuckled, "and that trademark Potter smirk".
Before Harry could reply or say anything, the door to the room burst open, revealing two people Lily so didn't want to see right now.
Harry frightened at the sudden commotion, hid behind his mother as soon as two of them entered the room. He peeked from the side to see that one of them was an old man with a long silvery beard and was sustaining a purple hat on his head. The other one was a woman older than his mum, but not so like the man she'd accompanied.
Lily braced herself up for what was coming. Whatever way this goes, she's ready to engage. She looked blazingly at the old man as he looked her in the eye. Lily fondled her wand behind her as she raised a hand at them, stopping them from coming forward.
Dumbledore sighed as soon as he made contact with the angry redhead. He so wished this to go on the easy way, but since when has his wishes got served.
"Lily-" He tried but only to cut off by her.
"Don't even try to state it, headmaster"
Healer McCarthy looked between the two and decided to intervene for the sake of the hospital room.
"Mrs Potter, listen, we can talk this out. You're still unwell. We have to check you too. Let's just settle in my office, there we'll talk after I have examined you."
"There's nothing wrong with me, healer 'whatever'. And if you're with 'him', how do I know you're not here for taking my son away from me" Lily argued.
"No, Lily. I'm not taking him away. But must you please listen what I have to say first." Dumbledore responded calmly.
Seeing Lily stand down her sneer, Dumbledore relaxed his posture a bit and continued, "we still don't know what happened to you guys. How come you're still alive here and I'm sure you too are wondering the same."
"Which is why I suggest, once again, let's sit this one out in my office. Please, there's a patient here."
Lily thought this one out and realized that the healer indeed was right. Albeit how much she wants to shout out her frustration and anger at Dumbledore, it can't be here and certainly not under Harry's ears. Hence, she nodded.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Harry was sitting outside the roomhis mum and those two people were in. He was asked by his mum to sit tight at the spot and don't go anywhere with anyone. If needed, she asked him to call for her and if she doesn't hear it, then call for Mikey or Minnie. He nodded at her as the loyal boy he was and was currently sitting outside the room for the past half an hour. He had been given food and water to munch on while his mum is finished.
Inside the room, it wasn't as calm as it should be in a hospital.
"You're telling me about responsibilities, Headmaster. Where were yours when you sent my child to that arrogant, selfish woman, who just happens to be my sister."
"For that exactly reason, Lily. She's your sister. The only blood relative of Harry while you were unconscious. There was no place safe for him". Dumbledore reasoned with her.
"Yeah, as if Hogwarts isn't the safest place in the entire Wizarding Britain" Lily returned after a sarcastic laugh.
"No one would have been able to look after him there. How can someone, with school running and all professors busy. And the protection he had at Petunia's house wasn't available at Hogwarts."
"Ill treatment and child abuse doesn't count as protection, headmaster Dumbledore. I saw her almost hitting Harry. Merlin knows what else he had to face, living all those years with them. I remember being 13 when started helping my mother within the kitchen. And he's not even of Hogwarts age and has to learn cooking to help Petunia in the kitchen. That's bullshit. Instead of being the most loved child in the world, he was being treated as the most loathed, uncherished and despised and like a...a...servant. And IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, DUMBLEDORE" Lily shouted the last part.
"Lily, when you shielded Harry that night of the attack against Voldemort. You didn't just protect him from the killing spell, but you did give Harry a blood protection. A protection that stays with him until and unless he stays with someone with the same blood as his. And Petunia was the only one, and you know it too" Dumbledore explained.
"Screw your blood protection, sir. Because there was no use of this protection if he was harmed by the one's who were supposed to protect him. And you are one of them"
"Mrs Potter, I understand your frustration and anger towards the Headmaster. And I agree it might have been a very rash decision at his side, but what's done is done. Now we have other reasons to worry, like how did you really survive that night of the Halloween." Healer McCarthy intervened further argument between the two.
Lily gave a sweet yet sarcastic smile, "as you said Healer McCarthy, what's done is done".
"Mrs Potter, please don't hate for being concerned for my patients. I think if we know something, anything at all for that matter, it might help us with your husband" Healer McCarthy said.
Lily cursed herself for being rude to her. In her moment of anger towards Dumbledore, she did forget about that this healer in front of her was not responsible for what happened to herself and her child. She was just a concerned healer for her patients.
"I'm sorry for snapping, Healer McCarthy. And I'm also sorry, but I don't know how did me and James made out of that dark night. All I know is that Voldemort used the killing curse. I'm sure of it. My ears won't defy me." Lily spoke.
Before McCarthy could persuade her further for it, Dumbledore interfered, "I think I have the answer you both crave."
The two women turned their head in his direction almost at the same time.
"you do" They asked together.
Dumbledore nodded slowly before sighing and said, "I do, but before I explain, I must ask you, Lily. Do you remember the Flamels' gift to you."
Lily frowned at the question and went deep in thought before remembering that day when Fawkes showed up unannounced in their bedroom one fine morning. Maybe it was a few weeks before the attack.
"Yes, they sent two lockets as an early Christmas present for me and James. And we owled them with a thank-you letter. But what—"
"Those lockets were not some simple lockets, Lily. The stones in them were the prototype forms of the philosopher stones. The Flamels had them but didn't have use for it since they were using the finalized version of it"
"They were?" Lily questioned.
"Well that's a long story, but I'll try to be discreet, So.. "
With that, Dumbledore explained to them everything he knew and leaned from the Flamels. And what was his theory behind the survival of Potters. He told them how philosopher stone absorbed the spell partially and destroyed itself while putting Lily and James into a comatose sleep due to the partial effect of the killing curse.
The discussion further went for another hour with many theories coming out and plans were made as to how to help James with his condition. At the end of the meeting, Lily did feel her anger settle down a bit, and she started thinking rationally again. The old thoughtful and logical Lily Evans Potter was coming back finally.
She turned to headmaster as they moved towards the door, "sir, I'm extremely sorry for the behaviour before. It was very reckless of me"
"No need to apologize, Lily. I knew how you were when it comes to someone you love" Dumbledore consoled her.
"Sir, can I ask you something else?"
"Sure, go ahead"
"Why didn't you ask Alice to take care of Harry. I mean yes I get all your Explanation about blood protection and all, but sure you'd have asked her to meet him or see him once in a while. She'd have agreed with pleasure, I'm sure"
"She was not in a condition to. In fact, she still isn't" Dumbledore morose sigh told her that next was not something she'd like to hear.
"What do you mean, sir?" Lily asked, her heart already clenched at what was coming next, "She isn't, is she?".
"Dead? No, Lily, Alice, and Frank both are alive.. "
"But-"
"Come, you'll see" Dumbledore beckoned her out of the room with Healer McCarthy in tow.
Lily looked sideways as soon as she was out of the room. Her son was now lying on the bench asleep. She smiled at his innocence. He didn't even care to ask for her before lying on the bench he was sitting, giving in to the tiredness of the day.
She doesn't blame him for sleeping there. Given everything he has seen and learned today, he sure must be tired, she did remember her own first day of learning she was a witch. Her head didn't stop spinning for the whole day unless she had a good nap in her mother's lap.
She called for a nurse nearby, asked her for a blanket and covered her son's sleeping figure with it. She asked the nurse to keep a look for him while she visits Alice and Frank Longbottom.
"Please inform me as soon as he wakes up" She asked the nurse.
At her nod of affirmation, she kissed her son's forehead before following Dumbledore and McCarthy to the room where her best friend resides.

Harry didn't remember when and how he fell asleep, but it sure wasn't the same warm bench he was currently lying in. At least he thought it wasn't. He looked up, sat and found he was at the same place his mother asked him to wait. And he fell asleep. He hit his forehead as he recalled him lying on the bench for stretching and didn't even remember when fell asleep.
He dared to peek a look inside the room behind him, but it was empty. Not a single soul in sight.
He looked around to find a young nurse, around the age of his mum, strolling casually while checking sheets in her hands. He extricated himself from the blanket which he didn't remember having and walked up to her.
The nurse looked up as he approached her. "Yes, boy?" She asked.
He cringed at the sound of 'boy' but shrugged it off, "Uh.. Do you know where my mum is?" He said, pointing to the room, "she was there"
"Oh yeah, she did ask me to inform her when you wake up" She replied. "Wait here while I go and fetch her".
"Can I come too" Harry asked innocently.
Nurse gave it a thought, "fine, come"
Together, they walked to the end of the corridor and reached the required room. The nurse raised her hand to knock, but before she could, the door opened from inside and healer McCarthy came into view.
McCarthy raised her eyebrows, "what is it?"
"The boy woke up" Nurse said pointing towards Harry.
"The name's Harry" Came a voice behind McCarthy. Lily walked out of the room, followed by Albus Dumbledore.
Lily bent and gave her son a tight hug. "Hungry?" She asked. At his nod, she bid a farewell to others and gave silent pray for the betterment of her best friend and her husband, and then the mother son duo left for their hotel.

NEXT DAY
The Burrow was a fun turmoil like always as the people of the house sat for breakfast. The family of nine, short by 2 were sitting around the breakfast table.
Arthur Weasley, the head of the house, was slowly munching on his breakfast, waiting for the daily prophet to arrive.
Molly Weasley, née Prewett, the matriarch, was serving the breakfast, all the while managing to keep the cleaning charm in the kitchen.
The eldest present child was Percy Weasley, who was reading a book while eating in a well-maintained etiquette. He was their third son overall.
Next, the twins, Fred and George, were snickering at each other as they passed the bread above Percy's head, dropping the crumbs on his hairs 'mistakenly'.
Ron and Ginny were eating while laughing at the twins and Percy and smiling at being pampered by their mother.
An owl arrived a little while later, carrying daily prophet. Arthur gave him a knut and took the paper. He spread it on the table near his plate.
"Merlin!" He exclaimed as soon as he saw the first page.
"What is it, honey?" His wife asked.
"See this, Molly, the Lily Potter is alive. Or so it says here" Arthur pointing the main headline.
"You know how it is with the prophet, dear. We can't believe everything they say." Molly told him.
"Yeah, but it says Dumbledore was seen with her. So was senior healer McCarthy" Arthur informs them.
"Hmm" Molly hummed in response as she too sat for breakfast.
"Mum, will Billy and Charlie be here for my birthday" The little redhead girl asked.
"I don't know, Ginny. We have to ask them." Molly thought for while before saying, "I'll owl one of them today. Since both of them are at separate places. It can't be together".
"It's alright, Molly, I'll floo Charlie in Romania. You owl Bill." Arthur told his wife. Bill, or William, Arthur Weasley was the youngest son of the couple and was currently in Egypt working as a curse breaker.
Their second son Charlie Weasley was a dragon trainer in Romania.
"That's good" Molly agreed.
Arthur checked his watch and after bidding a goodbye left for the ministry of his work. That is, misuse of muggle artefacts department.

Hours later, after the dinner, Ginny was being tucked to bed by her father.
"Dad" She asked as he was getting up to leave.
"Yes, little princess"
"Story?"
He chuckled at her innocent face, "not the same one again".
"Please?" Ginny tried again.
Arthur never understood what was it with Ginny and Harry Potter Story. But she couldn't seem to get enough of it. She asked everyone who tucked her to sleep to read her a Harry Potter story at least thrice a week.
"Okay, firefly" Arthur agreed and took a book out of the night stand and started narrating a Story to her.
Ginny listen intently to the story, until he introduced Harry's parents. She looked up at him and asked, "Dad, are his parents good people? Mom said that his mum is alive, will she be good to him?"
Arthur smiled at her question, sure she didn't remember meeting one of them. "Yes, firefly. She is a very kind woman. She will take a very good care of him. Just like your mother does for you all."
"So, now he has family. Does this mean I cannot be his family" Ginny asked curiously.
Arthur laughed loudly this time, "You can still be his family, dear, if his mother agrees that is" He informed her.
"Daddy" Ginny asked after a long silence.
"Yes, firefly"
"I will marry Harry Potter one day, I will always take care of him"
Arthur smiled at his daughter's innocent statement, "sure, firefly, sure" He patted her to sleep and then left the room kissing her forehead. He turned at the door and smiled at her one last time before closing the door and went down to his bedroom.

St Mungo's, one week later.
James Fleamont Potter was sitting up in his bed reading daily prophet when a nurse entered the room for his daily potions.
"Good morning, Mr Potter. Time for potions" She told him.
"Happily" He agreed and gulped down three vials of potions.
"Where is your wife, Mr Potter" She asked.
"Right here" Lily entered the room with a tray of breakfast, followed by Harry who was sipping hot chocolate.
She fixed James his breakfast while Harry settled on the bed beside him, hugging him.
"What are you having this fine morning?" James asked his son.
"Hot chocolate, by mum" He answered.
"And why can't I have one of those" He asked his beautiful wife.
"Because, my dear husband, you are still not full in strength and a patient. And patients are not choosers" Lily teased him and served him salad for breakfast.
Harry laughed as James made faces at his breakfast. He still remembered the day his father woke up. It was two days back when James woke up in the middle of the night demanding to see his wife and son. He almost hexed healer McCarthy when she asked him to stay on his bed.
She sent a message to Dumbledore, who arrived seconds later and calmed James down. Then he asked Minnie to fetch Lily and Harry.
When Lily entered the room to find her husband awake and, unlike her, with his memories intact, she immediately jumped in his arms, hugging him tight.
Harry was quite hesitant at first but after one day of talking and listening to stories, James had to say he couldn't help but feel close to him. He had a perfect life now. A mum, A dad, everything he could ask for.
Yesterday, Dumbledore came to visit them and helped Lily narrate the tale of Halloween to James.
Healer McCarthy says James had to spend at least one week before he can leave. He had asked Mikey and Minnie to clean up the Godric's hollow cottage and make it liveable for their return.
Lily was reluctant to stay there given the memories, but James assured her it was just for sometime before they could build a new house.
In the heat of the event Lily may have forgotten about Sirius, Remus and Peter but James didn't. He asked about them to Albus, but the revelation of the old headmaster shocked him to the roots.
He told them his theory that, it was Sirius who forced Peter to slip up the secret to Voldemort, who then tracked them down. Not only this but to distract Dumbledore, Sirius forged a plan to and intimidated Peter to ask him to track down Remus who was attacking the Potters with werewolves that night.
"James, I know you still don't believe me, but it's true. Or else, why would Sirius kill Peter Pettigrew. He was covering his track, but his bad luck that Aurors found him in the middle of the act and street, laughing and shouting he killed Peter Pettigrew" Dumbledore explained.
"But there must be something else. Something we are missing. Sirius can't. He loved Harry by heart." James argued with tears.
"I know it's hard to believe, James. But that's the only theory we have. And Remus too went missing after the day, so we don't have another perspective, I owled him to see me some days after, but he didn't come"
James reluctantly agreed, but silently vowed to dig into this matter. Currently, he already had enough in his plate to care about.
He still spent a few hours every day rummaging his thoughts for a way out of this. He didn't want to blame his best friends for nothing. He wanted concrete evidence and that can only be gained at once place...
Auror office.

One month later
Lily woke up to find the place beside her in the bed empty. She was a morning person, and she was the 'only' morning person in the house. She squinted around to check if James is in the bathroom, but he wasn't anywhere around.
They had been living in their cottage for the past 3 weeks and life has started to fall in normal pace for them. She daily spent some hours talking to Harry about magical stuff and making him learn some basic things. In the month so far, she hadn't woken up a single day to not see her fully recovered husband and beautiful son, until today. Maybe they both are up to something. James sure told Harry about all the prank stories, and now they might be pulling one on her. Seriously, those two.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she peeked into Harry's room and found it empty. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen again to find it deserted.
"I don't care what prank you both have planned for me, but seriously if anyone of you wants breakfa- no, no, not only breakfast, if anyone of you wants something to eat at all the whole day, COME OUT NOW" She stated in the air looking around for something irregular.
Suddenly, there was a crack behind her, and she shrieked as she hastily turned around.
"I'm sorry, Mistress Potter, I didn't want to frighten you." Minnie stood there with a parchment in her hand.
"Ohh, it's alright, I was just not expecting an apparition. Where are they? Do you what they have planned?"
"Oh! Mistress will be so pleased." The little eld squealed as she handed Lily the parchment.
Dear Love Lily,
Your son and I decided to give you this surprise this fine morning. And please duly note that this is not a prank. We have something to show you. Please follow Minnie and see for yourself what we have for you.
Your most lovable husband and handsome son,
James and hairy(scratch) Harry.
Lily smiled as she saw him writing their son's wrong spelling. She turned to Minnie after she was finished, "give me a few seconds".
She marched upstairs to get some business done and came down and allowed Minnie to side along apparate her.
**********..
Lily and Minnie appeared in a large garden. 'A picnic', That was Lily's first thought on appearing there.
"And here's our guest of honour" Came a voice behind them.
Lily turned around and squealed in surprise as caught the sight behind in front of her.
There stood a mighty, lavish house, or was it a manor, whatever it was it looked like a big rich family was living there. And what she assumed to be a garden was a part of an orchard with large trees guarding the area.
James and Harry stood there looking at her with bright smiles. Harry was holding his father's hand as they came close to her. Harry hugged her, while James gave her a peck on the lips.
"Welcome to your new home, Mrs Potter. The Potter mansion." James said as he raised his hands, presenting the house.
"Potter Mansion?" She asked, looking at him as if he's lost his mind.
"Yes, our new residence. The Potter mansion, Edinburgh" He informed her.
She looked at the house in awe. Now that she noticed its built, It looked like a perfect home she could imagine living in. The outer walls of large stones cut perfectly and square shaped.
"Ohh, it looks beautiful. But when did you—" She began her questioning, but James put his finger on her lips stopping her.
"All in the right time. For now, let me guide you through this exotic mansion" He led both her and Harry forward.
Harry did come before Lily, but his father refused to tell or show him anything, only the fact that this is gonna be their new home.
And so began their tour of the house.
The entered the house passing through a patio with swimming pool on one side of the path while the other side had trees arrangement with two hammocks. The pathway led them to the back door of the house.
The sitting room had two couches each with big coffee tables in front of them. There were two love seats perpendicular to the couches and a couple of armchairs too.
The side opposite to the sitting area had a dining area coupled with kitchen, an archway led the path from the room to dining area, which was hidden by a wooden partition, and then to the kitchen. Another door from the kitchen led to the patio.
Another door from the sitting room led to the library, accompanied by study. There was another door on the other side of the stairs which separated the kitchen and said room. This door led to potions lab and research room.
The first floor was divided into two wings, East and West wing. East wing had the master bedroom and one other spare room. While the west wing had two guest rooms.
The second floor was a lot similar then first only the rooms here were smaller than the floor below. There was a stairway which led to the attic, which was the store room.
All in all the house had a perfect family vibe to it that Lily loved.
"Now, that we are done, will you tell me how is this our home, when did you buy it coz it sure couldn't have been built in one month" Lily asked as they exited through the main doors, which were French style double doors. Similar to the ones that led from the sitting room to the garden and quidditch pitch.
James smiled at her enthusiasm, "well I didn't buy it, if that's your first thought." He sighed as he continued, "It's construction was started when we were in hiding, I was hoping that one day everything will be alright, and we'll finally live in peace, but after the attack may be it was left partially complete, which was about eighty percent complete. So, after waking up, I asked Mikey to contact the builder and get it finished completely with the new renovations as soon as possible. And apparently, the magical buildings are built faster than the muggles one, so here it is." He informed Lily.
"Wow. You literally gave it a thought back then." Lily spoke when she recovered from the shock.
"I was an optimistic one, remember." He said, kissing her cheek.
"So, when are we settling in. I couldn't wait to decorate it all."
"Well, I won't keep you waiting. We can move in whenever you want" James said.
Lily looked at her son, who was mostly silent during the whole tour. She bent down at his level.
"Why are you so silent, sweetie?" She asked him.
Harry looked up at her, he really liked the house a lot. It was a dream residence, of which he could've never dreamt of. His own personal room was more like icing on the cake. It was such a big room with personal bathroom, which had big tub with fashionable shower system. The room had an absolutely beautiful view of the front lawn and main gates and an extended view of the forest afar.
"I.. I.. I don't know. I never tho.. Thought I will live in such a big house." Harry said tentatively.
"I know, dear. I understand that. But you do believe that this is all for you. Everything we do is for you. You are our son. You deserve all the happiness in the world." Lily explained to him, kissing his forehead.
"I thought you will fall in love with it, the moment you see your room. But why do I sense a doubt from you" James asked, him kneeling too.
"I don't know, really" He said and walked away towards the pathway leading to the main gates.
Lily glared at James and hit him in the arm.
"Ow! Lils, I didn't say anything wrong, did I" James exclaimed as they walked behind Harry.
"Why do you even open your mouth. " She said as she ran ahead of him.
"Harry! Sweetie, it's okay, your father doesn't want to upset you. He just has a bad sense in humour." Lily said as she came up to him.
"I'm not upset. It's just that I never thought I will ever have a family. That I can be happy too." Harry said.
"Ohh, Harry. Don't think all that now. That life you had was past and a nothing but a passing dream, it's memory will fade away with time. My love for you will dampen them" Lily told him. She Silently cursed Dursleys again for doing this to him. For building such a low self confidence in him.
Harry hugged her tightly, "I love you, mum".
Lily got tears in her eyes at his words, " I love you too, son" She kissed both of his cheeks.
Harry's attention was then diverted by the garage on the other side of the pathway. "What's inside those?" He asked indicating the metallic shutters.
Albeit Lily did knew what were inside those, she said, "well, I too don't know, wanna check out" Harry nodded but then looked towards James, "he won't mind"
"Oh don't you worry about him" She said and then added, "tell you a secret, he is dead scared of me." Harry laughed again as they walked towards the garage. James saw where they were heading and followed. This will be interesting he thought.
Inside the garage, were two posh cars, one of them a matte black and other a silver convertible. There was one bike too. To Harry, It looked like one of those sports bike, Dudley had posters of.
James showed them all the vehicles and also informed them that soon he'll be buying horses to keep in stable which he pictured in the large open area behind the house. It was one of the things he thought of building himself. He was thinking those things which he himself want to build, when Harry's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Can we sit in one of these" He softly asked Lily.
"Of course" James spoke before Lily could. They both looked at him, searching confirmation.
"I mean, why not, I was planning on warming them up soon, so why not today. Let's go for a ride, And we can have ice creams, if you want" He suggested.
"Really" Harry asked excitedly.
"You bet" James winked at him and grabbed the keys from the key holder.
He opened the car doors for Harry and Lily to hop on, which they did happily. The excitement on Harry's face showed that James' idea was going pretty good till now.
And it did went pretty good after all. Harry had the perfect day, they went for long drive, ate ice cream, then went to park in the city, shopping mall, then a light supper and then returned back to the Potter mansion.
All in all at the end of the day, Harry was sure his father had a odd sense of humour and he really was dead scared of his mum. In fact, one thing he now knew for sure was, his parents adored him completely. They loved him with all of their heart and he too love them back as much.
James smiled to himself as he went to bed that night snuggling close to his nude wife in his bedroom in Godric's hollow cottage. The Potter Mansion House was one thing down for him, but it meant now he has to focus now on his next target, which is getting into Auror office again, being a Auror again. A top one to be precise. That wouldn't be so tough he thought, given his previous reputation as Auror and thanks to prophet now everyone knows he and Lily are alive. He expected several owls for job and from quidditch teams soon, but he didn't want that and he couldn't dig into his friends file if he's a quidditch player. So he decided to visit the ministry of magic as soon as they move in completely into their new home.
A/n::— the only reason behind my late posting this time was the long time I spent on deciding the house of potters. I spent a full week with one extra day on deciding and designing the Potter house using many images from net, info from some fan fictions and then finally giving it a 3d demo using an app. I hope your liked the chapter. I tried to live up to expectations, if you have any from me..
Please do leave a review and let me know what did you like and where I did make a mistake or anything at all you have to say.
I adore you all for giving your time for this story. Thank you readers.
