Notes: Hello and welcome to the first part of the reunion its split into several parts. Please review I would love feedback. I have a few things that I want to make clear
1. Hogwarts teen pregnancy being normal back in the day is a headcanon I saw on Tumblr that I like I, however, can not remember the name of the user so if anyone knows please let me know.
2. The uprising against the pureblood elites {most of the sacred 28 and other pureblood families} is a headcanon that RedrainofRoses on TikTok I just change the year it occurred so all credits of the uprising go to her I just added extra details
3. Most death eaters and pureblood supremacists are bigots I am not saying they are not however I think some reasons contributed to it, these are some reasons I've seen that I agree could have contributed I am not trying to defend them
Chapter 48 is nearly done being prewritten I typically write at least two chapters a week maybe three or four really depending on how I am feeling depending on how much more I get prewritten I might release a few more chapters also someone helps me I am nearly done chapter 48 and they are still like seven and a half years old ugh!
Chapter 30: Reunion
"Aunty Ice" Henry exclaimed throwing himself into the arms of his godmother hears visually flowing down his face, unable to contain his emotions "I've missed you"
"I know I've missed you too dear, I've missed you so much," Alice said a tear escaping from her eye as she tightened the grip on her Godson., promising herself that she would protect him and would make sure he is happy and safe.
"Hello Henry," Frank said
"Hey Uncle Frank" the seven-year-old replied back without taking his eyes off his visually exhausted godmother.
"It is so good to see you again" Alice smiled "I'm sure you remember my children" Henry nodded but he didn't remember all their names, and he happen to see some unfamiliar faces
"Hyacinth, Elliott, Kristopher, Minerva, Pomona, Benjamin, Joham, Lucas, and Nathan are all at Hogwarts at the moment, but you will be able to see them then," Alice informed Henry, he nodded remembering that the last time he saw his godmother over two years ago she had been visually pregnant, like heavily pregnant. "Alan, his eleventh birthday is about a week and a half away and I would love for you to come, Alexander, Ewan, Algernon, Neville, Clementine, and Nigel and Noah who were around one and a half when you last saw them."
"Hello" Henry smiled sheepishly
"And these are Amber Azalea, Jade Antoinette, and Ruby Yvonne, these two are Eir Osias and Aeson Alzir who are a week old," she said indicating to the two newborns her husband had in her arms "And these three are Genevieve Willow, Elijah Alastor as well as Christian Marvin"
"Hi," he said the confusion on his face clear
"We are adopted," Genevieve said informing her former older brother
"We were all siblings, our parents were not exactly the best, we were abandoned by our parents and our Aunt who had custody died Mum investigate her case, as we had no other living relatives and we were part of an ongoing investigation, we stay with mum who has a fostering license, evidently we were adopted" Elijah lied he, Christian and Genevieve had made up the story beforehand they had it planned out in lots of detail, ready to answer any question that could come their way from the Potters or his former godfather.
"I'm sorry to hear that" Henry replied, "You have a fostering license?" he asked his godmother
"Yes yes I do I got it when Niklaus was wrongfully accused of a crime he didn't commit during the war, his wife Aimee has no relatives so if anything ever happened to her in jail he wanted to make sure they had somewhere to go and that the person was a license foster prints or else they do not usually allow unregistered foster parents to take custody of children that they are not related to through blood, rather stupid if you ask me family is way more than blood" Alice explained "Now back to the birthday party Sunday the thirteenth of December party starts at eleven-thirty, your mothers under house confinement but I'm sure your father can bring if not I'll come to get you myself how about that"
"Can go please mum, dad?" Henry asked
"Of course," Lily said she could never say no to her golden boy, and it would be a great opportunity for Henry to hang out with other children
"Do you want Alice you come to get you? Or do you want me to bring you?" James asked
"Ice to come to get me," Henry said automatically seeming sure of his answer
"Well then I'll get you at eleven ok" Henry nodded "Good now I will talk to you later before I leave. But I'm sure you would much rather be playing upstairs" Alice said "I'll talk to you later Henry, but I have urgent things to discuss with your parents"
"Ok," Henry said
"Now off you go" Frank shooed the children "Go play we have adult things to discuss"
"Ok father" The children nodded following their father instruction and all of them headed upstairs with Henry well all of them besides Eir and Aeson who were newborns along with Amber, Jade, and Ruby, who were two years old and preferred to stay with their mother especially Ruby and finally Nigel and Noah who were both going through a clumsy phase and a clingy phase as well. Once the children were out of listening range the adults moved to James's study, shutting the door, and casting a privacy charm, after of course letting the children know where they were, just in case. They came looking for their respective parents.
"Before we start I have a request," Alice said
"What is it?" Lily asked
"No matter how this goes I can still see Henry and he can still come to Alan's birthday party oh and, The triplets, the older ones, and Algernon's birthday parties," Alice said "He is invited to those too, of course, I'll come to get him for those too, but I want to be able to excitedly you saw how excited was when he saw me I don't want him to feel abandoned and I can't do that to him again, it can have impacts on a child if a significant figure or remodel in that child continues to abandoned them. It has been two years since I last saw Henry if I were to disappear from his life well."
"I get it Alice" James cut in "It is reasonable and your right can have effects on a child if a significant figure in their life continues to exit and re-enter said child's life, happened to my cousin had major effects on her life"
"Really like what?" Lily asked
"Oh it does not matter all you should know is that there were no positive effects," James said trying clearly not wanting to talk about it anymore
"Ok, can you tell us which cousin?" Lily asked she was curious she hadn't heard about James's cousin.
"I'd rather not talk about it if that ok darling," James said trying to move past the subject of his cousin.
"Ok," Lily said defeatedly
"Wait is this?" Sirius questioned not needing to finish his sentence
"Yes "James nodded knowing exactly what Sirius was asking
"Wait are we talking about Vixen?" Alice questioned catching on to what the pair were talking about
"Yeah," James said Vixen was a nickname for James' cousin that they had come up with years ago. Vixen lived in America
"Oh, the poor thing how has Vixen been lately?" She asked
"Who is Vixen?" Lily whispered to Frank
"No idea," he said honestly he was lost "I really don't know"
"She's trying to pick up the pieces and put herself back together, she actually just started therapy," James said, "But can we move on to a different topic please?" he asked
"Oh that's lovely, good for her" Alice said
"Of course why don't you three boys stay here and catch why up while Alice and I along with these little darlings go have some morning tea, I'm sure you three have plenty you want to talk about without us ladies here," Lily said
"Ok," James said wanting to object to the idea of being left alone with Frank well not alone but still he would feel better if all five of them stayed in the same room, Frank was unlikely to lose his temper or have a go at him if Alice was in the room, he wouldn't not in front of his darling wife.
"Be on your best behavior" Alice reminded quietly giving her husband a peck on the lips and exiting the room with her two youngest sets of twins Nigel and Noah, Eir and Aeson" You boys have fun"
Potter Manor Living Room
"How has life been with the twins?" Lily questioned
"Exhausting but I'm used to it, they are actually pretty easy babies so far as sleeping and eating that's the Griffiths in them," Alice remarked "Frank's been really helpful as always taking the first couple weeks of work, you know paternity leave and all, Eir's a metamorphmagus just like me so his hair keeps changing every five minutes"
"How was the birth?" she questioned never actually giving birth before, the healers had performed a cesarean section at her request, so she didn't have to deliver naturally
" Exhausting, though it was a quick labor less than six hours I believe. I didn't actually know was having twins Eir Osias was hidden, though it was a singleton this time, but no Julie was mistaken but I'm not mad she been going through a lot you know? I'm sure you read it in the daily prophet. Jonathan and mama informed me that even the most experienced midwife/ Obgyn/ Healer could make that mistake. e for example what appears to be a penis turns out to a vulva and you've got a baby girl instead of a baby boy. Though it's not often there is room for error. If you don't run the more complicated spells of course and those rants are perfect either. Mama said Some common scenarios that can lead to a hidden twin are the first ultrasound happens early on in the pregnancy, the twins share an amniotic sac, the baby is super stealthy, lack of prenatal care, or sometimes human error just to name a few it can happen to even the most experienced healers" Alice added
"That's really interesting, so I could possibly have a hidden twin in my uterus and not even know it?" Lily asked
"Well I think it's unlikely but yes theoretically you could but I'm not really an expert this is more Juliet, Jonathan, and mama's area of expertise," Alice said
"Your right it is their area of expertise your expertise just happens to be conceiving babies" Lily joked "I mean seriously Al your fertility is off the fricken charts"
"Hey, my pregnancies weren't my fault" Alice defended "Well not entirely
"Really do explain?" Lily said
"First pregnancy with the twins, mama and papa's fault for not educating their daughter who had a boyfriend on that the charm can fail protection suitable for someone coming from both the Prewett and Griffiths line, apparently there a stronger potion developed by my ancestors, second pregnancy with the triplets mama's fault forgot to inform me that you can conceive while breastfeeding who knew?"
Lily laughed "Quads?"
"Third pregnancy quadruplet, stupid fertility, Frankie's fault he got jealous and well we all know how that turned out" Alice continued "Alan fourth pregnancy Mama's fault gave me a contractive potion and she forgot to check the date, you know that's something I thought she would have checked, Fifth time Alexandra Franks fault it was his turn and he forgot the charm and the potion"
"Sixth?" Lily questioned
"Sixth pregnancy Ewan again not my fault I blame the alcohol at the party and Frank and Mum for convincing me to go not that I regret Ewan I don't regret any of my children" Alice quickly added "Algernon seventh pregnancy well that was the heat of the moment so I guess that one might be a tad my fault, the eight-time with Neville I guess that could also be partly my fault who knew you could get pregnant while already pregnant I didn't mama forgot to mention that to me, Ninth time with Clementine I blame Voldemort, Dumbledore and Sybil"
"Voldemort, Sybil, and Dumbledore what did they do?" Lily asked
"That stupid prophecy, if Sybil never made it snape wouldn't have overheard it Voldemort wouldn't have been informed by snape neither would Dumbledore we wouldn't have ha dot retreat into hiding under the fidelius if that never happened I wouldn't have been bored out of my mind stuck at home with only my kids for company most of the time, if I hadn't of been bored and too busy I would have noticed that Frank forgot the potion" Alice explained
"Next set of twins?"
"Ah yes, tenth time Nigel and Noah my sweet boys. That was Frank's fault he was the one who said we should have some time to ourselves for a weekend while his parents graciously looked after the children, got caught up in the moment" Alice continued "The triplets, my eleventh were planned so equally to blame I guess and this time around with the twins, my sweet baby boys was my dear Frankie's fault again jealousy got the best of him" Alice laughed "Although I have to put some more blame on my parents there stupid arses got incredibly drunk that the hooked up again while they were both married, the first time the hooked up mum was still single and dad and Elenor were going through some issues and were separated at the time. I know they were drunk; I also think they were drunk when they named me if I'm being honest, but they were stupid to combine the fertility of the Prewetts and Griffiths.
Lily laughed "Well as interesting as that conversation was let's talk about something else," she said "My first wasn't planned the rest were but you already know that"
"Yeah I do" she sighed
"Anything else about the birth or your experience?" Lily asked changing the subject
"Well baby b was breached his legs came first not his head, but he was delivered vaginally because it was twins and baby a had already been delivered" Alice continued "But it was worth it as my mama says five minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness," Lily thought she like the sound of that her finger caressing her baby bump
"Will you be having a c section, or will you be delivering naturally?" Alice asked
"Not sure yet have to ask your mother your advice I guess" Lily admitted "Is labor scary?"
"A little, it is painful for sure though," Alice said
"And?" Lily asked knowing Alice was holding something back
"And Miscarriage can feel a lot like labor, The cramping can be very intense, usually in the lower abdomen but sometimes wrapping around to the back or down the thighs," Alice said reluctantly
"Oh," Lily said her hands protectively landing on her baby bump
"Yeah," Alice said, "How have you been?" Alice asked "How have things been with James? Anything you would like to talk about?" she continued rocking the newborn twins "Do you want to hold one?" she inquired
"Is that ok?" Lily asked
"Of course" Alice smiled passing baby Eir Osias over to her former friend "Remember to support the baby's head"
"Yes," Lily said remembering it had been quite a while since she cradle a newborn child
"How have you been dealing emotionally I mean?" Alice said "I know this probably brings up a lot of terrible memories"
"Fine vie been going to a support group once or twice a month, " Lily said
"Oh that's good," Alice said
"Yeah it does," Lily said, "You never get over it- "
"You just learn to cope" Alice finished Lily looked confused "Mum had one and Juliet's had about a dozen remember"
"Oh yeah," Lily said sadly sometimes she forgot she wasn't alone in her struggle
"What about you?" Lily asked, "Anything new with you besides the new children?" Are you planning on having more after these two?" she asked indicating to each of the only day's old twins
"No there is nothing really new besides my expanding family. As for more children well I'm not sure that certainly, something that's has to be discussed but my family is perfect just the way it is my family if it grows will only become more perfect" Alice said
"The way Hogwarts handled the pregnancy it was almost like they were used to it," Lily remarked suddenly
"Because they were" Alice briefly said
"What? Lily asked
"Oh you don't know, do you?'
"Know what?' Lily asked confusingly
"Well at one point several decades ago teen pregnancy was extremely common at Hogwarts and in pureblood society, Many teenage girls would attempt to get pregnant at the whims of their family to ensure a pureblood line and many would attempt to get pregnant to ensure they wouldn't be forced into a pureblood family, through betrothal. If a pureblood girl got pregnant by she would be married to the father of her baby as soon as the parents knew about the pregnancy to ensure that the baby is not born out of wedlock. The Black family was one of the most known families to do such a thing" Alice explained "Hogwarts didn't Romanise teen pregnancy, but it also didn't discriminate it" she continued "So Hogwarts knows how to deal with it my pregnancy however was the first teen pregnancy in two or three decades or so from memory"
"Wow, I didn't know that," Lily said,
"You wouldn't it's not something that is exactly advertised in Hogwarts a history, but it's something well known to pureblood our history and tradition are extremely important to us"
"Wait so Elliott, Hyacinth, Poppy, Minerva, and Kristopher are illegitimate?" Lily asked
"Well they were but they are no longer illegitimate children when Frank and I were married, the head of the house at the time in this case Elroy was still Lord of house Longbottom, could deem the children legitimate and he did" Alice added " You know the house-elves would leave my pregnancy craving at my bedside, madam Pomfrey has kept the ultrasound she asked and I said it was ok, they had illusion charms on my robes when I felt insecure about my baby bump just to name a few things, I was treated very kindly " She continued "Of course, Hogwarts doesn't want to encourage teen pregnancy but they make sure to support it when it happens because it's difficult on the teen parents to be"
"Interesting" Lily said "Actually you're a pureblood I want to run something by you I'm thinking about using my influence as the mother of the boy who lived to try and get rid of the pureblood gala its discriminative"
"Oh?" Alice said
"So what do you think?" Lily asked
"Lily I mean this in the nicest way possible but that's a terrible idea," Alice said
"What do you mean?" lily said
"The gala is centuries old it wouldn't go over well with most pureblood especially Voldemort's supporters or sympathizers," Alice said "The reasons some pureblood dislike Muggleborn like yourself or so I've been told are because one for every Muggleborn entering the Wizarding World there is typically minimum one, usually two, muggles finding out about the Wizarding World, their parents/caregivers which increases if they also have siblings who are muggle. Each of these is a potential point of exposure. Most of us in the wizarding world prefers to remain separate from the muggle world"
"But- "Lily tried to come in
"Some Muggleborn waltz into the Wizarding world thinking it will be just like the muggle world, plus magic, and then say that the Wizards are doing everything wrong, and the wizarding world needs to "catch up". They don't bother learning our culture, traditions, religion, reasoning, history, of the wizarding world, Some Muggleborn may even think that having access to the vast advancements and superiority of the muggle world, they should 'catch them up. Some Pureblood naturally take offense and see the Muggleborn as ethnocentric, offensive, and ignorant. There is humanity's and muggles' historical hatred for the magical. Wizards and witches were burned and persecuted. Several magical creatures are hunted, hated, or reduced to something to be domesticated. And I think that just adds to some purebloods disliking Muggleborn of course none of this justify anything that the death eaters and Voldemort dis and well most of Voldemort's supporters and sympathizer were and still are just bigoted, but I think these all factor in" Alice continued
"Ok but- "lily attempted again
"Another thing that I think factors in are the ways some pureblood are raised for the most part if a pureblood is taught from birth all these beliefs they tend to pass them down to their children and so on in a never-ending cycle," Alice said "Ok I'm done now but honestly leave the pureblood traditions alone"
"So you think I should leave it alone," Lily asked, "Wait is Henry able to attend the pureblood gala but I'm not?"
"Yeah Henry will be able to attend but you will not Henry is the Boy Who Lived and James is a pureblood just because you are Henry's mother doesn't mean you'; all be able to come especially after it was written in that article about how I was your surrogate and you have yet to physically give James an heir which is considered important especially for purebloods," Alice said "Your attendance is actually something that gets discussed every year and every year the same conclusion which is you are not invited also you wouldn't be able to come this year even if you were invited you are on house arrest confinement," Alice said
"I know you said most pureblood who hate Muggleborn are bigoted but what does Rosalie Lestrange mean by Muggleborn resistance?" Lily asked
"Oh that well James never mentioned it did he in 1961 there was a short-lived resistance led by Muggleborn that arose against the pureblood elites threatening the families, they started attacking the families personally. It was a very short-lived uprising because I was quickly struck down, but pureblood felt threatened, and our families distanced ourselves from the regular population even more than we already were" Alice answered
"Were there any-?" Lily attempted
"casualties or fatalities?" Alice asked Lily nodded "There were I think from memory only 5 fatalities and maybe twenty injuries- "
"That good" Lily sighed
"Oh on the Pureblood side of the uprising I mean on the resistance side there was about fifty fatalities and a hundred or so injuries, the Malfoys, the Blacks, my parents, and the other pureblood were ready to defend themselves we always are ready to defend ourselves a few days before my parents were attacked the prophet reported on the uprising they had a feeling that any day they would start attacking the families personally and they took precautions getting their children, their heirs to safety and they were ready for the uprising, prepared to defend themselves using spells that the uprising had never heard before to struck them down" Alice continued "My parents as an example were not afraid to use spells and curses that could be considered dark"
"Oh," Lily said
"But anyway I have with the Hogwarts board next week," Alice said changing the subject
"Really why?"
"I along with Lucius Malfoy are on the Hogwarts boards of Governors we are suggesting Pureblood and Wizarding culture to the other board members I took over Augusta's seat on the board about four years ago she thought would be a great fit and there were no objections"
"What do you mean by Pureblood and wizarding culture?" Lily asked
"Well muggle studies are to learn about muggle, and we thought of a Wizarding counterpart, of course, these ones compulsory it's sort of like history of magic but its more focused on wizarding tradition and culture and history behind those cultures and traditions I mean you came to Hogwarts complete unaware of the wizarding tractions, culture and significant things in pureblood history and no offense but today you are still lacking in the area don't you wish you were taught about these in school?' Alice asked
"Well yes but- "Lily began
"Oh Lily it is only a suggestion there is no guarantee that five other governors will be on board with the idea you need a majority seven out of twelve votes," Alice said "At this point, it's just theoretical"
