31st july 1991

Harry woke up to kisses being planted all over his face. He moved his face away from the tickling sensation of hair strands, but they keep poking his nose and ears. Then came the whispering voice,

"Wake up, birthday boy"

"Five minu-"

"No, no, no. Don't even try, young man. I know it's your birthday, but you still have to get up" Lily pulled him up to a sitting position.

"And why will I do that, for the exact same reason. It's my birthday I may do whatever I want, you can't hold me back on my day" Harry huskily replied.

"Oh, that's when you're with father. But it's not gonna work on me. Now, get up, get ready and be down for breakfast before your father leaves for work. Okay" At his nod she kissed his forehead and then both the cheeks.

She stopped at the door frame as she was about to leave, "and yeah, a very happy birthday big boy. You may get your letter today, so that's one more reason to come down now"

This perked him up, his eyes lightened and his mood lifted. From hearing all about Hogwarts for the last two and half years, he was so eager to get his entry letter. He even met one of the professors, the giant one, he was huge and hairy. Hagrid, Harry thought his name was.

He did his morning routine, took the shower and went to get ready for the day. He wore a trouser and opened his cupboard for a jumper when his eyes fell on a green paper wrapped package on his study table. Furthermore, he ripped of the wrapping to reveal a green shirt with muggle style patterns on it. He immediately put it on and ran downstairs.

As soon as he came down, he ran to the kitchen and hugged his mom, who was working on breakfast and tea.

"Thank you for the shirt" He muttered as he broke off and sat on his usual spot on the dining table.

"How can you tell it's by me" Lily asked, raising eyebrows at him.

"If dad gave me a shirt, it will be animalistic" Harry answered, knowing his dad's fashion sense.

"Now, now, don't say that. He might he-" Lily's statement was cut off by a voice from the patio door.

"Heard that, kid" James came into the kitchen, finished with his workout.

He came up to Harry and hugged him, "I may not have a great dress sense as your mother here, but I do have some crazy ideas with endless money supply, so I'm sure you'd like what I've got for you. Happy birthday, Harry." He kissed his son's hair.

"Thanks dad. What you've got then" He asked looking around for a package or gift wrap.

"It's not here. And now is not the proper time, too. So, first let's finish breakfast, then we'll think about it." James said, ushering him towards the table and himself walking upstairs for a shower.

A few minutes later, the family of three were finishing their breakfast. James was reading up daily prophet, while Lily was instructing Mikey and Minnie about the cake and party.

Harry was fondling with the spoon when an unfamiliar owl flew into the room and dropped a letter into his lap. His face lit up with a bright smile as he looked towards his mum, who gave him a knowing look. James too left the prophet and came beside him to read the letter over his shoulder.

Harry open up the letter and started reading out loud,

That's quite too much for school, Harry thought as he finished reading. He looked up at his father, "I have to write a reply today itself."

"Yeah, that won't be much pain. Mikey, will you handle it please" James asked the elf.

"No, he won't. Actually, he doesn't have to. Harry will write a reply on his own. He has to learn how to write a letter" Lily chided James.

"Okay okay" James said raising his hands in surrender. He checked the time on the big clock in the sitting room, "it's time, I have to be in a meeting, but I'll be back as soon as it ends. Then we can go for supplies shopping. Alright" He said looking at Harry then Lily.

With a nod from both of them, he kissed his son's forehead and then kissed his wife goodbye and left for his work.

James joined the auror office three months after gaining consciousness. The reporters have been gathered around the ministry almost every day to talk to him, but that chaos soon died down after an official announcement by Dumbledore, which stated that Voldemort only intended to kill Harry that day and James and Lily were never killed but severely injured. Dumbledore didn't want the common public to know about philosopher stones.

Since then, he has been working hard all the time to gain the respect in the department that he had before. But it took him a long time to do that, due to the influence of some rich deluded personalities, one like Malfoy, Zabini, and Notts.

But over all that he got into a senior Auror post and soon with some trust issues to handle, he'll be able to dig into old files and cases and then surely a trip to Azkaban wouldn't be hard.

As soon as James left, Lily asked Harry what he wanted to do until his dad returns. Lily still hasn't joined her work, she feels it's important for her to be in Harry's life, at least until he joins Hogwarts.

"Why don't we go somewhere new. Like any Wizarding village, you know of. Then we could go for a film afterwards, if we have time" Harry responded.

Lily gave that a thought, " Well we can't go for a long drive if that's what you're suggesting."

"But why" Harry whined.

"We don't know how soon or how late your dad will be. But I think there's somewhere I can take you, if you're willing to apparate" Lily came up to him and wiggled her eyebrows.

"Really, where?" Harry asked excitedly.

"And... I'm not telling you where." She smiled, "let me just grab my wand" She walked into the kitchen.

Mikey and Minnie came up to Harry, "happy birthday, master Harry" They both chorused.

"Thank you, Mikey, Minnie." Harry hugged them both. Harry had developed a very friendly relationship with the two Potter family elves. They always helped him learn stuff about magic and sometimes bring the extra puddings or treacle tart for him after dinner. He almost had those two as siblings.

"Hey, Why don't you two come with us." He offered them just as Lily walked back into the room.

"Oh, thank you for asking, master. But we can't. We have work to do." Minnie replied respectfully.

"And besides Harry, we're going into a muggle town. So, it won't be very wise of them or us" Lily informed him.

Harry nodded, and the two then left the house and walked from the back door towards the pathway to the orchard. Once out of the house wards and apparition boundaries, Lily offered her hand to him, which he gladly took, and they cracked out of sight.

TWO HOURS LATER.

Harry and Lily reappeared outside the perimeter of Potter Mansion.

"Well the movie was fun, wasn't it" Lily asked him.

"Yeah, and the food" Harry agreed

"Like father like sun" Lily scoffed.

When they entered the house, James was already there and reading some book. Lily raised her eyebrows at that as she came into the room, but James just kissed her and showed her the title, which showed clearly it was a prank book. Lily rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell him all about their day along with Harry.

After a few minutes of chatting, Harry went upstairs to rest up a bit, leaving the husband and wife alone for a bit. It was decided they'll go for shopping after lunch since it was still not very deep into noon.

"Up for a swim" James asked after sometime.

"What? At this time, James are-"

"Well, swimming is not the only thing we'll be doing" He whispered huskily in her ear, while his hands snaked their way around her waist.

"James, Harry's ups-"

"Upstairs and won't be down for a long time, come on now, it has been a tiring day" James whined.

"But-"

"But the thing we'll be doing is more tiring, I know. Come on, don't be spoilsport Lils flower. It'll be much relaxing" James interrupted her again and his hands slipped their way inside her dress, massaging the skin just above her breasts.

"James, and don't interrupt me this time," She spoke hastily them continued in much more seductive tone, "you don't want me to change, you know, that velvet lilac lingerie set"

"Maybe that'll have to wait for some other time, I'm kinda rushed now" James said as he picked her up and walked to the pool outside.

James settled her on the poolside bench and helped undress her to just bra and panties. All the while leaving light kisses and nibbles on her exposed skin.

They both then entered the pool, James let Lily glide around the water for a few seconds before he swam up to her and pushed her along one of the walls of the pool. Lily looked up at him, her lips parted in anticipation. She was giving up him the most seductive yet mischievous look.

James dropped his mouth to hers in a passionate kiss. He fought over for dominance but lost soon enough as Lily's tongue probed his lower lip and begged for entrance.

He gave in and let her tongue explore the depths of his mouth. Lily then switched their position and traced his mouth with her tongue. She let their tongues entangle as she moaned in his mouth in response.

The heat of their activity soon became much more as James hastily pulled off his boxers and let his hard erection free in the warm water of the pool. Lily immediately grabbed what was hers and started stroking him in the midst of water.

James moaned as her hands did wonders to his aching cock. He didn't stay idle either, and his hands pulled down her bra straps, and he let his mouth dip below and took one of her large melons in his mouth, sucking her delicious skin.

Lily's hands left his dick as he began sucking and nibbling her large boobs. Her hands threaded into his dark hairs as she urged him more towards her breasts.

"Ohh James" Lily moaned as he took one nipple in his mouth and bit it gently. His other hands cupped her other breast and pinched the nipple.

Together with his mouth and hand working on her, Lily could feel herself ache for him between the legs. She could still feel the wetness of her core among the water, but she didn't have enough of mind to pay attention to that fact.

"Your nipples are hard" James spoke, breaking off the contact for a split second before latching back on to her other breast while the hands switched their places and now the first breast was being treated by his hands.

When finished with her beautiful large breasts, James came up back to kiss her hungrily as his hands dropped below to cup her firm arse.

Lily's hands roamed all over his body as she stroked his tout muscles and sometimes leaving scratches on his back.
James slipped his fingers inside her panties and stroked her vaginal lips. He let his fingers graze over the labia, and his mouth dipped below to leave bite marks on her breasts.

He found her clitoris and rubbed it between his fingers for an added pleasure, which seems to be working considering Lily's high-pitched moans. She let out a series of swear words as James slipped his fingers inside her, getting her ready for the climax.

He then discarded her panties and took hold of his rock-hard dick.

"Jamie, do it, come on, I'm aching." Lily moaned near his ear as she took his ear lobe in her mouth and sucked on it gently.

James rubbed the mushroom head of his member through her pussy lips, just grazing the outer edge and never entering her. Lily, when she couldn't take his teasing any more, grabbed hold of his erection and positioned it at her vaginal entrance. Then in one swift motion of bucking hips, he was inside her.

Lily saw the stars as her inner walls started to engulf the penetrated member, inviting him more and more inside. James started to rock as he grabbed her heart shaped arse for a better penetration leverage. Lily, after her initial euphoria of pleasure, started rocking timely with his thrusts as she met each one of his thrust with a lustful kiss and bucking of her hips.

Their lips met in a lustful passion as water around them made splashing noises as James and Lily entered their peak euphoria.

"Ohh my... Yess.. Yess...aaahh.. Again.. Hard.. Come on Jamie" Lily moaned in his mouth as James pounded her again and again.

"You.. Yo.. You're so.. wet" James groaned at her chest as he picked up speed and made passionate love to his wife.

Lily cursed loudly as James sped up his thrusts, and she too met them with equal passion. Her hips bucked as she felt her climax rising to the peak.

James too was on the edge as he felt Lily's walls clench around his member. Soon they both were panting hard, soaking wet and hurriedly thrusting their hips together as both of them reached their climax.

Lily was the first to cum as she felt her juices flow freely from her core to the water of the pool, meanwhile lapping James' hard member with them.

James followed milliseconds later as he too shot his huge amount of load in his wife. He felt her vaginal walls clenching as they milked his rock-hard member, which shot cum after cum inside Lily. The remained joined for some time, catching their breath as James cock began to soften and Lily could feel him getting smaller and limp inside her.

After a few seconds, Lily caught up her breath, "that was... Amazing" She gasped
out.

"You're gasping Lils flower, and from just one round, you're getting o-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence, Potter" Lily said, her voice regaining the fierce composure.

"That's more like my Lils" James said as he kissed her lips once more, his hands on her breasts, lightly kneading them.

"Mum? Mum, where are you?" Came voice from the stairs.

"Out here son" James replied, before realizing what. His widened as Lily slapped his head, "oww"

"Where is your brain, Potter. We're not presentable right now"

"I.. I.. I.. Uh.. He's coming, uhh.. " He got an idea, "take a deep breath" James instructed as he muttered, "accio invisibility cloak".

"What!" Lily exclaimed.

James caught the flying cloak in his arms and threw it over the scattered clothes near the bench. Satisfied, he turned to her.

"Do it" James hissed, as he could hear Harry approaching. He gave Lily a piercing look.

Lily did as he said, she took a deep breath and just as Harry came around the threshold of the patio, James pushed her down inside the water.

"Hey son." James gave Harry a bright smile.

"Dad, where's mum. I'm hungry" Harry asked, looking around the patio.

"Uhh.. I think she had an errand to run. I.. I..I thought you were resting" James asked him.

"I was, until my stomach rumbled" He said with an innocent look.

James winced subtly as he felt a pinch in his leg. "Uh.. Why don't you go wait in the dining area, Harry. I'll join you in a second" James suggested.

Harry nodded as he turned to leave, but his eye caught up to a strange thing, "Dad what's that" He said pointing to a crumbled piece of cloth at one end of the pool opposite to where his father was.

James turned to look at the spot he was pointing, his eyes widened as he realized what the cloth was, it was Lily's bra.

"That's.. Uhh.. Um.. " James stammered as he thought wildly for a way out, "my.. Um.. Auror.. Utility belt. You know the one in which we keep potions, ward stones, like that"

"Okay." Harry said as he gave his father a strange look. Why was he twitching inside the pool as if someone was poking or pinching him. He rolled his eyes as he turned and walked back inside the house.

As soon as he was out of sight, James removed his hands from Lily's head. She came gasping out for breath. She coughed a few times as he patted her back. Lily took hold of the pool boundary for leverage as she regained her composure.

"You want some oxygen" James said with a cheeky smile.

"What I need is some brain for my husband" She hissed at his as she hit him on the shoulder, hard this time, very hard.

"Oww, Lily. You're the one to talk. Your particular clothing article could've blown us. If I hadn't been such a quick thinker, then… " James left that trailing, raising his eyebrows.

Lily gave him a fake smile, "if you remember correctly, that was your doing too" She swam to collect her bra and slipped it on.

Soon they both found their clothes and after a quick dry charm, dressed up, checked their appearance once more and then parted ways. James went back inside the house while Lily asked Minnie to apparate her to the front door.

She waited for a few minutes before entering the House.

"I'm back." She announced, although it wasn't required, as both James and Harry were already looking towards the door.

"Mum. Where were you? I'm hungry, what's for lunch"

"Sorry, honey, I had an important errand to run. But I'll fix something right away, meanwhile, Mikey, Minnie" The elves appeared next to her, "serve my boys something to eat, Mikey, meanwhile Minnie help me up in the kitchen"

"Yes, mistress" both of them echoed and disappeared for their respective works.

With the obvious magical speed and swiftness, the lunch was prepared in no time and the family of three was sitting on the dining table eating. The two elves had their own chores to do for the party tonight.

Harry was quite against the party initially, as he never had any birthday parties at the Dursley's. Moreover, they never did it on his 10th birthday last year. That was the time when they were still settling in as a family, and they had a quiet evening at the same house for his birthday.

But this year, as Lily called, it's special since he'd be of Hogwarts age. So, it was decided that there'll be a small house-warming style party. Only Very close friends and acquaintance were invited. Many of them will meet Harry for the first time. So, Harry was a nerve bundle while Lily and James were excitement balls for the day.

After finishing lunch, while Lily putting the dishes in the sink, Harry noticed some strange red mark on his father's neck. It was very low, but the open buttons on his shirt made it to display very easily.

"Dad, are you hurt?" Harry asked, pointing to the spot on his neck.

"No, son, why is something there?" James said, checking his neck and upper chest with his hands.

"Yeah it's red there" Harry pointed out, "a little lower, lower, then left, yeah just right there".

" I don't know, Harry. I haven't checked the mirror since morning" He conjured a mirror and checked it, only to find a love bite on the spot, "ohh, yeah, it's a bite... Uhh.. I mean.. Uh.. " His eyes widened and voice stuttered as he thought of a nice excuse.

"A Bowtruckle bite" Lily supplied as she walked into the room, overheard the conversation.

"Yeah, that's what. Someone let one lose in the meeting room today. Yeah, that's what happened" James agreed.

"Okay" Harry said awkwardly, he didn't look like he believed it but still, they let it slide as he didn't query further.

"Okay, let's get moving. If we want to get back at the proper time for the party, now is the appropriate time to leave" Lily said, and she ordered Harry to grab and hop on his shoes while the husband and wife fetched their cloaks.

"Hey there, Bowtruckle" James said, kissing her on the neck, coming up behind her.

"Shut it, Potter"

And then they left for their shopping trip to Diagon Alley, Harry's first time to it.

***************************************
At Diagon Alley.

The Potter family entered Leaky Cauldron through the door, and Harry, for the first time, realized how famous he actually was. His mother did tell him that he'll be overwhelmed once he comes in front of the Britain's magical public. And now he could see how true that was.

As soon as he stepped into the middle of the pub, three people, one witch two wizards, approached them. They immediately bent down to shake Harry's hand.

"Mr Potter, how pleasure it is that I seem to be in the same place as you in this fine day. Doris Crockford" The witch introduced herself.

"Mr Harry Potter, I'm so blessed" Another one said.

Before the third one could go with the flow, James interrupted, "that's quite alright, but we have some work to do, I'll appreciate it if you could give us some space" He said pushing through them and manoeuvring them towards the other side.

"Dad, is it gonna be this bad" Harry asked as he noticed some whispering and stares from the people around the pub.

Before James could say anything, the barman and landlord, Tom, approached the family.

"James, the usual?" He asked, raising a glass full of drink towards him.

James looked like he was ready to accept it but,

"No, thank you, Tom, but we're here for business" Lily cut him off and indicated Harry, "Harry here has a shopping list to cross out, say hello, Harry, this is the Tom, the innkeeper and landlord of the Leaky Cauldron."

"Hello" Harry said, raising his hand to shake Tom's hand.

"Pleasure, Mr Potter" Tom greeted.

The family then turned towards the other room, where they met a strange man whom James recognized immediately.

"Quirinus" James greeted the man.

The man startled at the sudden voice, he jumped in fright. But tried to relax as he recognized James.

"Ja.. James, what a pleasure, Lily you too" The man returned the greetings

Lily then ushered Harry forward, "son, this is Professor Quirinus Quirrel, he'll teach you defence against the dark arts in Hogwarts"

"Oh hello, professor" Harry raised his hand to shake his but unlike others, professor Quirrel didn't raise his hand to shake.

Quirrel looked at Harry's hand tentatively then said, "you'll..e..e..enjoy the s..s.. subject, P.. P.. Potter" He said but didn't take the hand.

"Thank you professor, we'll meet you again" James said, and then the family came against the wall that was the entry to the Diagon Alley. Harry looked at his father, but James just gave him a mischievous look and tapped the bricks in the wall in a certain pattern. Three up and two across.

The bricks parted magically to reveal what James said as, "welcome to Diagon Alley, Harry"

The first thought Harry had upon seeing the large Alley was, "Wow. It's... " He trailed, unable to find words.

"Magical" Lily whispered next to him.

Harry looked at her and nodded. She smiled in return and, "that was my first thought too. Now come on, it's gonna take a long time."

And with that, the family started the shopping for Hogwarts.

The first stop was Gringotts, which was not needed according to James. But Lily insisted on having Harry see the bank himself.

The family walked across to the end of the Alley, facing a large building.

James said, "this is the Wizarding Bank I told you about, son. You're gonna see goblins inside." He looked thoughtful then added, "A piece of advice, Never mess with goblins, Harry. Gringotts is the safest place in the world for anything you want to keep safe, except maybe Hogwarts."

The family entered the bank and James spoke on the reception. After a few seconds of waiting, a very short goblin, named Griphook guided them towards the carts for a trip underground to their vault.

The trip to the vault was very intriguing but equally sickening. The cart passed through a maze of twisting passages. Harry tried to remember, left, right, right, left, middle fork, right, left, but it was impossible. But soon it stopped beside a vault.

"Harry, this is our Potter family vault. Although you may not require to visit it a lot for now, just ask Mikey and Minnie to get you the money, they'll do it with pleasure."

"With our permission of course" Lily said from behind them. James gave her an annoyed look, but her stare was harder.

The goblin asked James to put his hand on a space in the door while he himself slid his finger in a peculiar fashion along the door slit. Once done, the goblin stepped aside as the large double doors opened and some green smoke came out, billowing. As soon as the smoke cleared and Harry was able to see inside, he gasped out in surprise.

"No way, is that.. " He said, pointing towards the vault.

"Gold, yes." James said, "and guess what, it's all yours"

"James" Lily chided him. He raised his hands in a surrender fashion.

"Come Harry, this vault has more things than just gold and silver" Lily said as they entered the vault.

Harry was often told by his father that they're wealthy, but he never believed that they are this exceptional. The vault had mountains of gold and silver coins neatly arranged. Also, there were many piles of small bronze ones.

Apart from all these, there was also many chests and boxes that had family heirlooms and jewellery from years to centuries old, as Lily explained.

"And now that you've seen all, let's get back up. We have so much to cover up today, already" James said looking at his watch.

They were accompanied by Griphook once again for their ride back to reception. Once back, James asked Lily and Harry to walk ahead as he had something to talk to the account managing goblin.

The mother son duo walked out of the building to the main street. Harry let his eyed wander as he checked many different shops in the street. There was a pet shop, an ice cream parlour, a cauldron shop, and another shop that had eyes of different types hanging outside it.

His eyes roamed to an Alley just towards the left side. To Harry, It seemed as if it was entry to another of the shopping Alley, only it had a dark feeling attached.

Lily caught up with his line of vision and answered the unasked question, "that's something you should avoid." She said, "it's called Knockturn Alley, and good people usually don't go there, understood" Harry nodded to her.

"Oh, there's your dad" She said pointing towards the doors of the bank.

"Okay, all done" He said, "now let's go."

"Sure thing" Lily agreed, "So, What's the first thing on the list, Harry?"

The second stop was 'Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions', where Harry was supposed to get his uniform. The Potters entered the shop to see one woman already busy measuring robes for a certain blonde boy with a pale pointed face.

Madam Malkin came from around the corner to greet them, "Hogwarts, dear?" She asked, looking at Harry. He nodded, and then they were ushered into the same part of the room where she asked him to stand on a stool while she waved her wand at the measuring tapes and pins which began to work around the robe which she draped over him.

Lily stood waiting, as Harry was being measured for his robe, while James engaged the owner into a casual conversation.

The blonde boy next to him looked towards him, "you too, Hogwarts?"

"Yeah" Harry said awkwardly.

"You know I'm actually very bored off by all these measuring. My father and mother might have already finished the rest of the shopping. I'll try to drag them to quidditch store, I'm gonna snuggle my own racing broom to the school. They can't stop me from having it, not when they know my father"

"Yeah" Harry said.

"Do you play quidditch?" The boy asked.

"Uhm.. No" Harry replied.

"I do, My dad says I have to be in the team when I'm eligible"

"Eligible?" Harry asked, confused at what this eligibility meant.

"After the first year, of course. They don't take first years into team. I've been learning all sorts of moves" The boy stated as it was the most obvious thing.

"And you - look at that man" He suddenly said pointing to the large window of the shop.

Outside was a large man walking down the street. Harry can easily recognize that built anywhere, "that's Hagrid. He works at Hogwarts"

"Yeah, heard of him. He's kinda servant there, isn't he"

"Gamekeeper, If I remember correctly" Harry said coldly.

The boy looked offended at his tone but didn't say anything. He was done, so he stepped down from his stool.

"Are those your parents?" The boy said pointing to where James and Lily were checking out robes and dresses.

"Yes" Harry said.

"your family, they are our kind, aren't they?"

"I.. Uh.. Well they are a wizard and a witch, if that's what you mean""

The boy looked at him creepily then scoffed and continued, "know what, I think they shouldn't let the outsiders in. I mean, they are sort of creepy with all their muggle thinking and habits"

"that's not-" But he was cut off by Madam Malkin, "you're good to go, young man."

Harry hopped down from the stool and walked away, but the drawling boy called behind, "I'll meet you at Hogwarts, I suppose" as he went towards the other side.

Harry approached his mother, who was alone strolling through the rows of clothing, "mum, I'm done. Where's dad?"

Lily turned to him, "he thought it will be time-consuming if he bought your books, while we get your robes. Now that we are done, let's meet with him there" She suggested, and they paid for the robes and exited the shop with bags.

They found James in Flourish and Blotts, about finished with the shopping for books. Harry found very strange books in the shelves. Some bound in leather; books the size of postage stamps in covers of silk; books full of peculiar symbols, and a few books with nothing in them at all. He found a few with mischief curses and jinxes in them which he was sure his dad liked, but due to the presence of Lily they didn't get any of those.

Next they went to get the potions supplies, scales, and a cauldron, a simple one because Lily didn't let James buy a gold one, and a collapsible brass telescope. Then they visited the Apothecary, which was fascinating enough to make up for its horrible smell, a mixture of bad eggs and rotted cabbages. Barrels of slimy stuff stood on the floor, jars of herbs, dried roots, and bright powders lined the walls; bundles of feathers, strings of fangs, and snarled claws hung from the ceiling.

After nearly two hours of walking and shopping, the family stopped at a Florean Fortescue ice cream parlour to have ice cream and some light snacks.

After that, Lily checked Harry's list of supplies required, "Hmm, we're down to only one thing left. Your wand, are you ready for that".

"Yeah, I guess" Harry replied.

"Then, there you see that old shop." She indicated. Harry looked that way to find a narrow, shabby looking shop. He looked at the board above the shop, 'Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C'.

"You've got to go there for your wand." Lily told him.

Harry looked at her, "I have to go? Aren't you coming with me?" Harry was looking forward to getting a magical wand, but he didn't think he'd want to go to that shabby shop alone.

Lily shared a look with James, "Harry, getting your wand is a very distinctive and magical feeling. I think you should go there yourself let your magic guide you. Trust me" Harry nodded.

"And while you do that, we'll bring you your birthday gifts" James announced.

"No, you don't ha-"

"we want to, Harry. Come on now, we'll meet exactly here" Lily agreed.

The family disintegrated, James went to the quality quidditch supplies, Lily to eyelops owl emporium, and Harry to ollivanders.

Harry entered the shop, a tinkling bell rang somewhere in the depths of the shop as they stepped inside. It was a tiny place, empty except for a single, spindly chair. For some reason, the back of his neck prickled. The very dust and silence in here seemed to tingle with some secret magic.

"Good afternoon," said a soft voice. Harry jumped. He looked behind a shelf to see an old man approaching.

"Hello" Harry greeted the man with a nod.

"Ahh, yes, yes, I hoped to meet you soon, Harry Potter." The old man muttered.

"How do you-"

"Know that you're Harry Potter." The old man, who Harry thought must be Ollivander, said. At his nod, Ollivander indicated the scar on his forehead.

"There are hardly a few people in Wizarding World who doesn't know about you, Mr Potter" The old man informed him.

"You have your mother's eyes. It seems only yesterday she was in here herself buying her first wand. Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wand for charm work. And she was quite exceptional in the field I heard" Old man said as he shuffled through many wand boxes in shelves.

He brought three boxes to him with different styles of wands in them, "and then there is your father's wand, a mahogany wand. Eleven inches. Pliable. A little more power and excellent for transfiguration. A wand choses a wizard, Mr Potter. It's a very strange phenomenon and quite unexplainable"

He handed him one of the wands, Harry took it and stared at it, waiting for something to happen. Ollivander too looked at him expectedly.

"Well" Harry said.

"Give it a wave, what're you waiting for" Old man said.

"Ohh" Harry waved the wand but nothing happened. The man replaced the wand in his hand with the other, "No, no - here, ebony and unicorn hair, eight and a half inches, springy. Go on, go on, try it out."

Before he could try to wave it, it was snatched out of his hands by Ollivander.

The third wand, fourth and fifth wand were none good as none of them felt right to him, according to Ollivander. One of them even set the chair in the shop in fire.

"Hmm, I wonder. What if- yeah - why not" The old man said and disappeared behind one of the shelf, only emerge seconds later with an unusual box in his hand.

"unusual combination, holly and phoenix feather, eleven inches, nice and supple."

Harry took the wand from the man's hand, and as soon as he touched it, he felt sudden warmth in his fingers. He raised the wand above his head, brought it swishing down through the dusty air and a stream of red and gold sparks shot from the end like a firework, throwing dancing spots of light on to the walls.

"Yesss, that's it. It's the one, but- ohh" The old man sighed dreamily. "Curious, how very curious"

Harry gulped awkwardly, "uhmm... Sorry.. But... what is curious"

Ollivander looked at the young man before him with expecting eyes. "That's no normal wand, Mr Potter. Tell you what, I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr. Potter. Every single wand. And no two wands are same. Except... It so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather is in your wand, gave another feather, just one other. It is very curious indeed that you should be destined for this wand when its brother is the one that gave you that scar."

Harry raised his hand to the lightening bolt scar on his forehead. He traced the pattern of the scar, while Ollivander looked at him with curiosity.

"You're destined to be a great wizard, Mr Potter, You are" He said.

Harry couldn't help but get a creepy feeling inside the shop, so he paid for the wand from the pouch his mother gave him and simply backed out of the shop, bidding the old man a generous goodbye.

He met with his just as he came out of the shop. He was holding a large wrapped package in his hands. From the shape of it, looked like a large rectangular case.

"Well, I think we're done here, Harry. And no, you're not opening it here, so don't even bother asking" His father said. They wandered around the street and reached the ice cream parlour where Lily stood waiting. She sighed with exasperation as saw them approaching.

"Ohh, finally. I was thinking of tracking you both myself." She didn't have any parcel in her hand, Harry noticed.

"Lily, you didn't—" James tried asking, but Lily gave him the look that said 'shut up'. So, he let that question trailing in the air. It was then decided it was time to head home, they'll apparate from outside leaky cauldron, from muggle London.

"So, Harry, how did the wand shopping go" Lily asked, as she noticed him being silent intentionally as they walked to the pub.

"Okay, I guess. That man there remembers you both, he said. He even told me details of your wand"

"Yeah, well, Mr Ollivander was always a brainy man. He has memory almost as good as Dumbledore himself" She told him, "which wand did you get".

"Uhh.. Phoenix feather, I think, he said" Harry replied.

"Oh really, I remember those are best for defence and attacking. Nice choice there" His father complimented him.

"Well, in the words of Mr Ollivander himself, it's the wand that choses the wizard" Harry said as a lame joke.

"That's exactly what I'm saying here, Harry. I was talking to the wand" James said with a smirk at him. Lily just rolled her eyes at the exchange between father and son.

Soon there were out of the pub and in muggle London from where they apparated home. Their shopping bags all shrunk in James' and Lily's pockets.

###################################

The three of them returned home and sat in the sitting room, discussing the day. Harry has a lot of curious questions from seeing so many new things today. Lily brought the tea as James continued explaining about goblins to Harry.

"They are a bunch of smart creatures out there. You never can outsmart them. Even if you have as smart mind as your mother." He said, Lily gave him an approving look.

"And what different types of wands are?" Harry's next question came up.

"Well different magical animals have cores which are used to make wands, like your wand has Phoenix feather as core, some have dragon heart string or unicorn hair. The cores may be the same for a set of wands, but the animal isn't. Each animal is different from the other of the same species. That's the reason no two wands are alike"

"So, two wands cannot be brothers" Harry asked after giving a thought to his father's theory.

"What? Is that even a term, brother wands! No Harry I don't think so" James snickered.

Harry looked at the floor, lost in what he learnt now from his father and what Ollivander said to him. That didn't go unnoticed by James and Lily.

"What is it, sweetie?" Lily asked him, her hand on his shoulder.

Harry looked up at her as she took a seat on the armrest of his armchair. He wasn't sure if this was something he should share with them. Sure enough, like him, they also wouldn't like to be reminded of that horrible night.

"He was the one, wasn't he. The one who gave me this scar. He was the one who tried to kill you that night" Lily and James shared a worried look at his question.

"Why would he tell you that, bloody hell" James cursed.

"James, language, watch it" Lily hissed at him.

"Yeah, Harry, he was the one. But why are you wondering about it. That's past" Lily asked her son.

"Mum, Mr Ollivander said that my wand is a brother to that man's. What if I'd be like him" Harry asked with worry evident in his eyes.

To his surprise, Lily chuckled, "Harry, if you realize that already, then you're very far from what he was. It's what inside you that makes you into a good or bad person. And you, my love, have a heart of pure kindness. I can see it." Lily kissed his forehead and rubbed the hairs at his nape.

Harry nodded giving her a smile, "but who was he, I mean, what was his name, that bad man" He wondered out loud to them

James sighed audibly at that, "Harry, people don't say his name, he was a very, very bad person, a dark wizard with delusional thoughts. His name was Voldemort or Lord Voldemort, as his followers called him."

Harry listened with full attention whatever his father was telling him. He looked at his mother for surety, but the strange, empty expression on her face was enough to clarify.

She looked at him with worried eyes, "Harry, honey, I want you to promise me one thing." when he nodded, "you'll never talk about this to anyone. It's in our past. Voldemort is gone now. Don't talk about him or even mention his name, okay"

Harry nodded reluctantly, he still had many questions, but he decided they are not that prominent now.

Soon it was evening and time for the arrival of guests. Guests whom Harry was unfamiliar with. His first birthday party. He was excited to see them, of course, like any child would on his birthday, but he also had a strange feeling about it. Albeit his parents told him only close people are invited but still, he never had many people in his life, so he never wanted the attention. That was how he was brought up with the Dursley's. He shuddered at the thought of life with them.

************************************
While the house was preparing for the birthday party, miles away, in the ministry of magic, James was finishing up some last minute paper work. He was finished with work and currently was walking the atrium towards the exit to apparate back home.

As he took walked around the fountain, he bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I was in a rush" He apologized.

"Oh, no, it's my fault really. I was in a deep thought" The man said humbly.

Now that he noticed, the man had a plump built, must be older than himself, and had a very familiar shade of red hairs.

"Arthur Weasley" James said sceptically.

"Mr Potter" Arthur said as he recognized the man before him.

They both chuckled and shook hands. They both walked together towards the exit while they chatted. Generally, they talked about how Wizarding world has changed while the Potters were in coma. Arthur told him how the order disbanded after the fall of dark wizard, How everyone settled into their lives. James told him about how they settled into the living world again and how these past two years have been his best, with a wife and son.

"Tell you what, Arthur. We have Harry's first ever celebratory birthday party tonight. Why don't you come over with your family?" James suggested. He'd really like to have a reunion for the order. Or what's left of them.

"Oh, are you certain, Mr Potter"

"Arthur, one, you're way older than me so it's James, and two, I'm dead sure, I need some friends to share a couple of drinks. I don't have mine left" James told him.

"Okay, then James, let me talk it over with Molly, I hope she can get ready in such short notice. You know how it is women" Arthur said.

James agreed with him, "oh don't ask, Lily's worse about it, takes hours sometimes and when it's redhead, there's a temper too"

Arthur couldn't help but agree with the fellow ministry worker. They bid farewell to each other and soon departed for their destinations.

###################################

Lily was more than happy when James told her about inviting Weasleys.

"Oh, James, last time I saw them was when Molly gave birth to her girl. Do you think she'd bring her. I so want to see her. Do you think they've had any more children after her."

"Lils, calm your horses, see if they come, and then you can shoot those questions at them and not me." James said, rolling his eyes at her.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, Potter. And you don't get it. She was such a good motherly woman. And that daughter of hers, I don't remember the name but she… I… I… I was the one who took her first when she was born. She was such a beautiful baby." She sighed, "I've always wanted a daughter" She said before realizing what she said. She flushed as she turned away from his mischievous smirk.

"Well I think I can help you with that, you know it's my duty to fulfil the wishes of my lovely wife" He said coming up behind her blowing a warm breath on her neck and planting a soft kiss at her nape.

Lily turned and gave him a mock glare as he continued smirking at her.

"Certainly not now, Lord Potter. Come on, let's see how much our son surpasses his father on looks today." She

Laughing, they both left their bedroom to climb down the stairs to the decorated sitting room. Soon Harry followed and came down to find the sitting room quite different from what he remembers seeing on daily basis.

The room was decorated with graffiti, flowers, and balloons. The vibrant vibe of the room drove his nervousness away. He gave a bright smile and came up to his parents.

Lily smiled as she saw her handsome son walk down towards them.

"Isn't he the perfect son" She asked James.

"Yes, that he is" James agreed.

"Hey, mum, dad. I'm ready"Harry greeted them.

"And you look very smart indeed, honey." Lily complimented him. She looked up at James and after a nod turned to Harry again, "now, honey, ready for presents" She gave him a smile, and he nodded.

Both James and Lily summoned their presents from the table.

First was James' present, the same one Harry saw with him at diagon alley, he opened it to find a brand-new broom in a case. From the looks of it, her mum was as surprised at his gift as he was.

"A broom, my own. Dad, you're awesome" Harry exclaimed as he jumped into his father's arms. James hugged him back. Though, Lily didn't approve but still, she was happy for him.

"Not just any broom, Harry. That's the nimbus 2000. The fastest." James told him.

"Pity you have only one month with it. You can't take that to Hogwarts, isn't it, JAMES" Lily spoke, growling his name.

"Who says that, Lils" James said, as if it's a news to him.

"But dad, the letter said so" Harry agreed with his mother.

"It's okay, dear. You will have plenty of time with it during holidays" Lily said.

"Or you can take it with you, you just have to hide it well. I'll tell you how, don't worry" James suggested.

"No"

"Li-"

"No"

"But-"

"James, if it's written on letter that it's not allowed than that it is" Lily said with a finalise tone. James huffed at her dramatically. Since the conversation was over so, they moved on to the next.

Next was Lily's, but it wasn't wrapped like James', instead it was inside a cage. An owl cage with a snowy owl inside it, which hooted as Harry looked at it.

"A snowy one, that's rare, how did you" James looked at her aghast.

"Well, I have my ways of tracking things"

Harry looked at her smiling wider than ever, "wow mum, it's so pretty, what's his name"

"Actually, it's a 'her', Harry. She's eagerly awaiting to be named. Why don't you give her one."

Harry looked at the owl, he scowled in thought when a name he read out somewhere popped into his mind. "Hedwig. Do you like that?" He asked his parents.

Before they could react, the owl gave a loud happy hoot. Both of them chuckled, "I bet she certainly did" James said.

Harry hugged his mum, muttering thank you over and over again as she returned his embrace. Before they could talk about anything else, the doorbell rang. And that started the incoming of guests.

**†††††††††††††††††††††††††††**

The party was equally joyous and relaxing. Harry met several people today, all of them were quite generous and humble. None were like that blonde boy in diagon alley.

Firstly, he met with the familiar half giant, Hagrid, who gave him a nice scarf and some book on how to take care of your pet. He had met Hagrid twice before, his parents told him he could always trust him. And he seemed to agree as the man might be a little too innocent, but he was trustworthy and friendly.

Next, he met with the Professor Minerva McGonagall, who was another very friendly and humble witch. Although James kept pestering him into calling her 'grandma Minnie', she just rolled her eyes before leaving the conversation.

Next up was the old man and the healer lady, who he saw at the hospital and has seen once twice since then. Albus Dumbledore and Healer McCarthy, their names were.

He met his father's friend and a superb Auror, Kingsley Shacklebolt. Furthermore, another one an old lady accompanied by a small boy of his age, but with a larger built than him. Harry immediately connected with the boy, he was the same as him, his parents were ill he said, and he had lived with his grandmother Augusta from ever since he could remember.

Firstly, he was jealous of the boy because as soon as he came, Lily rushed from whatever she was doing towards him enveloping him into a tight hug of hers. But once he got to know how her mother was his godmother and what happened to his parents, Harry began to like Neville, and when he got to know that, he'd be attending Hogwarts as first year this time too, he was quite ecstatic. Finally, his one phobia that he'd all alone in that school was gone. Having one friend, that's a good start, he supposed.

Another thing that happened and concerned him was tension in the air when a man with a long black cloak arrived. He had a long pointy nose and greasy hairs. James clenched his fists as soon as the man appeared in the doorway. He didn't stay for long. After just for small chat with his mother, a strange sneer towards him and complete ignorance to his father, he left. He asked his father about he bailed out, saying, "he's no one you should be concerned about". He nodded but then after sometime he heard his father and mum argue about him.

"You didn't really have to invite him"

"James, it's already many years. Can't you just grow up."

"Did he?" His father asked and that was the end as Lily just walked off.

Harry vowed he'll ask him mother about the man and why was his father upset about him showing up at the party.

"Oh my, they're here" Lily said when she saw the last of the guests arrive. There in the foyer was a short, plump woman with red hairs, but not like his mother's, they were more of a gingerish red. She was accompanied by a man with average height and same body built. What caught Harry's attention was the child with them.

If he was guessing correctly, they were husband and wife with their son in between them. He, too, had the same red hair as his father, he couldn't name the shade, but it did look like a copper. He looked to be the same age as him and Neville.

"Mrs Potter, thank you for inviting us" The woman said as she approached his mother.

"Of course, how couldn't we. Actually I should apologise for not doing it sooner it's just we are still trying to connect with people. And yeah, please call me Lily, you've seen us grow, Mrs Weasley" Lily chuckled.

"Of course, Lily. And don't worry about it, I can't even imagine how the times must have been for you. After.. Uh.. You know" The woman, Molly, said tentatively.

"Trust me, you don't want to even imagine that. And what's in past is past." Lily smiled at Molly," And who might this young man be" She said referring to the redhead boy.

"Oh, where's my manners, Lily, meet my youngest son, Ronald or Ron, he too is starting this year. Say hello Ron"

"Hello, Mrs Potter" He greeted Lily.

"Hello, child. It's good you're starting this year, too. Harry'd really like some company beforehand" She smiled as she shook the boy's hand.

"Speaking of, where's our birthday boy" Arthur asked coming up, who had been chatting up with James until now.

Harry knew it was his turn to show up, so he walked up to them. "Over here" he announced his presence.

"Ohh, happy birthday, Harry." Molly Weasley wished him, raising her hand. Harry took her hand and muttered thanks, same with Arthur Weasley too.

"Happy birthday, Harry." Ron said next as he gave him a box of strange looking chocolate frogs.

"Thanks" Harry shook the boy's hand.

Lily peeked behind Molly, expecting another child to come from somewhere behind her. This may have gone unnoticed by Molly, but James and Arthur shared a strange look.

"What is it, Lils" James asked her.

Lily looked at him then turned to the Weasley matriarch, "Uh.. Didn't you bring your daughter, I think I remember there was one"

Molly laughed with joy at her statement, "ohh Merlin, I wish I'd have brought her. She was dying to come here. I thought you wouldn't have remembered her, and she's kind of a mischief-maker now that she's about to be ten"

"Oh, Molly, why didn't you. Of course, I remember her. She was so pretty. I remember when I held her that day, She was such a perfect baby. I remember talking about her to James for weeks" James agreed to that with a nod.

"Yeah, Molly, Lily's been talking about your daughter ever since I told her about inviting you guys" James passed.

"Yeah, I wish she'd have been here. But tell you what, her tenth is just coming up this eleven. Why don't you guys join us at the burrow." Molly proposed.

Lily agreed almost immediately, and the plans were made regarding it. The group then dismantled while Ron and Harry sat with Neville to chat. They kept telling him everything about Hogwarts, they've seen or heard. The talked about different houses and how all Slytherins were turned out to be dark wizards. Harry really liked both of his new friends.

Eventually the crowd of the party decreased as people started leaving. Some had work, while some just have to wake early. The old man and headmaster of the Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, was the last man to leave. He wished Harry a happy birthday once again and muttered, "I hope to see you sooner than later, Mr Potter"

As the last guest left, Mikey and Minnie appeared and started the cleaning. But Lily waved them off saying, "oh no, not now, for now, go rest, it was quite a day today. Exhausting." Lily sighed. The elves bowed a tad and left.

The family were then off to bed after Harry opened all his presents and showed them to his parents. All in all, it was quite a good day, better than expected, that was the lingering thought on all of their minds as all three Potters drifted off to sleep.

11TH OF AUGUST 1991.

Lily was ecstatic today. She would be seeing her today. James was unfortunately on an Auror assignment overseas, while Harry was sick. So, it's just her that apparated to the burrow on this fine evening.

She hadn't been here before but thanks to Molly she knew the way to it by apparating to a familiar place in the village nearby, Ottery St Catchpole.

She came up to a clearing where she found the strange-looking house. It looked like some floors were added afterward because the house looked like it might fall to debris if not for magic around it.

But whatever maybe the construction, the house had a home feeling around it. It caused to relax her, she didn't even know why was she feeling uneasy. It's not like she knew the girl very well, or she's related to her, or she's her daughter. But still, she had that lingering feeling in the pit of her stomach, nervousness? Hmm… Perhaps.

She walked to the front door and knocked. The door opened to reveal a young guy in his twenties.

"Yes?" He asked.

'That must be one of her elder ones' Lily thought. She was hoping to find words as to how to describe to someone that you're invited. She was about to ask for Molly, when the one walked to the door from behind.

"Who is it, Bill?" Her voice came first.

"I don't know" The boy replied.

Molly appeared at the door then and exclaimed in surprise to find her at the doorstep.

"Oh, Merlin, get in already, Lily. Bill, she's a guest, you invite them in, not keep them waiting at the doorstep." She chided her eldest son playfully as she ushered Lily inside.

"It's not his fault, Molly, really. In fact, it's good he's vigilant" Lily said, as they entered the large dining area of the Burrow. There were very few guests at the party, only some cousins and aunts.

The introductions were made and everyone greeted the Potter matriarch. Lily met the large Weasley family, which still seemed large even though they were missing three sons, Charlie, Fred, and George.

Bill and Percy greeted her humbly, while the former apologized for not recognizing her at the door, although he had already saw their picture on the prophet. She accepted everyone's greetings and returned them.

Lastly, a girl about nine to ten walked down the stairs. She announced her arrival by asking, "mum, can we cut the cake now? It's already late"

"There she is, come here, Ginny. Look who's come to wish you"

Ginny walked towards them sceptically, as if expecting to meet another old aunt that no child would want to because of her unwanted pestering. But as soon as she saw Lily sitting there, her expression changed to curious.

As for Ginny, she had never ever seen or met this woman before today. This got her curiosity bar up, and she glided to where her mum was standing with this lady.

The closer she got, the more she realized how beautiful she was. She had the perfect shade of red hairs Ginny has ever seen. Not that she hated her hairs, but she always wished the ginger trails of hers had a bit of Auburn shade. Just like this lady in front of her, her copper mane were a little close to auburn. Just perfect. The lady had a bright smile on her face as Ginny approached them.

"Ginny, meet Mrs Lily Potter." Her mum said as she came up to stand in front of them.

Ginny's eyes widened at that, she can't be, no she can't. But then again, how many people in the whole wizarding world might have that last name. Before she could stop herself, she blurted out.

"You're Harry Potter's mum"

"Ginevra" Molly chided her daughter for her bluntness.

Lily smiled as she absorbed what the girl said. She bent down to her level, "Yes, I am. And from me and him both, a very happy birthday, Ginevra".

"Thank you, Mrs Potter. And It's Ginny, if you don't mind" Ginny accept the hug and present Lily gave him.

"Of course, dear" Lily agreed.

The dinner was served on the magically enlarged table as everyone sat around. Ginny deliberately chose a seat next to the Potter matriarch. As they were eating, Ginny leaned close to her and muttered, "Mrs Potter, if you don't mind, can I ask you something"

"Yeah, sure Ginny. What is it?" Lily muttered back.

"Umm.. Are all stories about.. Uh.. About your son.. True" Ginny said with hesitation.

Lily chuckled at the question, "well, I haven't read them all, but mostly they are exaggerated. I mean, magic or not. You don't expect a one-year-old to win over a dragon, can you. And even after that night he lived with the muggles so, he didn't know about our world."

"But the one about dark wizard, he killing you and his Dada and Harry Potter defeating him with his might, that one's true?" Ginny asked again.

Lily couldn't help but feel admiration for the inquisitive nature of the girl. She was feeling a soft spot for the girl, already.

"Well, yeah, that one's true story. Only that he didn't really kill us, we survived. Otherwise I wouldn't be here now, would I" She returned with a smile.

Ginny smiled as she learned that, her eyes already imagining the scenario in her mind.

"You seem to have an interested in Harry, don't you" Lily asked the girl.

Lily could swear it, she saw Ginny blush at the mention of her son.

"Well, many young children are" She said in her defence, before turning back to her food.

The two of them chatted a bit while eating and during dessert. Both of them developed a friendly bond which grew stronger as they spent more time with each other. Lily also spoke with Ron, who was excited to start his Hogwarts journey. He was quite sure of being in Gryffindor. He was a curious boy with a very humble and friendly nature, just a little less of self-confidence. He reminded her of one of her true friends, Remus Lupin.

Molly was also a person from whom she could learn a lot. The way she handled and managed her large family was quite remarkable.

When it was time to leave, Lily gave Ginny a last hug and promised Molly to meet them at King's Cross on September 1st.

As she was walking back out of the Weasley property towards the apparition point, she smiled at the thought of her son's little fan back there. She really liked the girl, from what she could decipher, Ginny already had a slight crush on her son. She found it kinda cute. She looked back at them, Ginny was quite ahead of the rest of the family as she waved at her. She waved back and then turned as she disapparated from the spot.

A/N::- well that's all in this chapter, it was getting quite large. But next will be Hogwarts finally.

One thing I wanted to mention beforehand is I'll keep Harry's first year short, since you all might have already read that I have removed philosopher's stone from the timeline.
But that doesn't mean it'll be a normal year for Harry. I'll make sure Harry lands in being grounded by Lily at the end of the year. And yes.. Quirrel will be the vessel of Voldemort.

Lastly, thank you all for reading. Let me know what you liked and what you didn't. I'm open to suggestions about Harry's first year.

Thank you all kind readers.

(Some things or phrases in chapter will be familiar to you all since I have brought them up from the original Harry Potter novel itself. JK Rowling deserves the credit for that. She's the best.)
