He would be lying if he said that he didn't found the boy's company interesting with his sarcastic wit and cutting remarks. The boy had achieved a lot of points for Slytherin in classes by answering questions in his first month, only his patronage over the boy had prevented the boy from retribution from other jealous purebloods in Slytherin which the boy understood. He even told him to stop his friendship with the Evans girl to which he got a simple reply of " you are a bigot " to which he was stunned and angry and was ready to hex the boy but swallowed the anger.
After some time the boy was considered to be a Potions Genius in Slytherin but was not invited to the Slug club as Slughorn always thought it was the Evans girl who made the potion and only invited her. In that year he was also ordered by his father to get hold of Polyjuice Potion as Abraxas Malfoy usually made Lucius do such things so that he can see if Lucius really is capable of resourcefulness. He was in a tight position so he went to Severus and the boy agreed to brew the potion, the book was easy to get from the library with Lucius ordering the ingredients. The Potion was brewed perfect and Lucius presented it to Abraxas who praised Lucius for his resourcefulness. Lucius knew it was a test for him by Abraxas.
Since then the two of them were friends and with time Lucius saw Severus as a younger brother and often gifted him with books on Potions and obscure magic which interested Severus. He had also tried various time to gift money to Severus but was always declined by Severus. When he saw the neighborhood of Severus home, then he understood the aspects of life of Severus.
When Lucius met Severus this break he would be lying if he said that he didn't found the changes in the boy's mannerisms and demeanor odd but brushed it as changes due to puberty. When Severus told Lucius that he had inherited the Prince fortune, Lucius was genuinely happy for Severus as his friend truly deserved it, then Severus told him how he killed his father and passed it as accident amazed Lucius as he had thought many times of doing the same with his father. Moreover Severus went out of his way and somehow got a Veela who also was a heiress to a very rich house as his girlfriend, yes Lucius was genuinely happy for his friend
Abraxas Malfoy had always been cold and unyielding with Lucius and had wanted him to be a perfect heir. Lucius had yearned for Abraxas love but never found it and then he met Evelyn during his vacation in France in his sixth year and he was immediately smitten by her. She too was in her sixth year in Beauxbatons and was quite interested in enchanting. He had then talked to her and after the conversation they agreed to penpals. It was during his seventh year after a whole year that he confessed to her that he genuinely liked her and then they had started dating and then with time he realised that he was hopelessly in love with her.
But his dreams were shattered when Abraxas started pressurizing him for marriage and a heir. He then told Severus about Evelyn and his wish to kill his father became more pronounced after hearing Severus story of killing his own father. His wish was confirmed when Abraxas started talks about a marriage contract with Orion and Cygnus Black between him and the youngest black girl. He then decided to take the help of Severus to finish the task and was anxiously waiting for any news.
As if his wish was heard, an elf wearing a towel with Malfoy crest popped into the room. The female elf said " Maddy is sorry to disturb young master but there is aurors on the gate of Malfoy Manor ". Lucius nodded " escort them into the living room, Maddy " the elf bowed and went to complete the order. Lucius was relieved inside, if the aurors are here then it means Severus has succeeded in his efforts and they were here to inform him about his father's death.
Lucius masked his face and waited for the aurors to arrive into the living room. Five minutes later four aurors arrived with Maddy who popped out of the room after escorting them inside. He recognized three of them as they were in Hogwarts during his years Gideon Prewett and his twin brother Fabian Prewett and the third one was Edward McKinnon. The last auror was easy to recognise as he was the senior auror Proudfoot whom Lucius had seen in the Ministry Of Magic.
I asked in a sarcastic tone " Auror Proudfoot , to what do I owe this visit this late night ? ", Prewett twins were itching to reply but we're silenced by a look from Proudfoot. Proudfoot spoke " I am sorry to inform you Mr Malfoy that we found your father's dead body in Knockturn Alley, it seems he was killed by the killing curse " he said sadly. I acted as if I was shocked and let it show on my face while inside I was dancing with joy after some moments I composed my face into a blank face again " Did you find the killer of my father ? " I asked in a cold tone.
The remaining three were shocked by my tone but Proudfoot remained unfazed as he thought that I was asking for vengeance. Proudfoot spoke for a moment " we have found the dark mark hovering in the sky and there were no witnesses so it is clear that this was the work of some followers of this rising dark lord, but why would they attack your father ? " he informed and asked wishing for some answers. I stood up from my seat and faced the wall so that only my backside would be visible to the four of them and spoke " father had many offers to join him but rejected them as he didn't wanted to join, it seems that they took his hesitation as refusal and killed my father " I spoke in a sad and frightened tone and sticked to what Severus and me had decided. The remaining meaning that Abraxas was used as an example was left unsaid but Proudfoot understood it.
Proudfoot spoke " thank you for this information Mr Malfoy and we will send your father's body with some aurors later, we may bother you again for the investigation as your father was a very important person for wizarding society and would like you to co-operate with us, we are leaving now Mr Malfoy " he said and stood up to leave, the remaining three followed him and walked back outside with Maddy who was waiting outside the door.
I nodded and inwardly was relieved that Severus executed the plan correctly but then again Severus was always a perfectionist. I called Naddy who was another female elf. She appeared with a pop and asked " what can Naddy do for Young Master ". I ordered " My father has been killed Naddy, start the preparations for the funeral " I said and went to my room.
As I walked to my rooms I sighed realising that I would have to make the arrangements for funeral and listen to his associates but quickly discarded the thought. " I am finally free " I whispered as I entered my room.
I landed on the floor with both Riley and Dobby who fell on their backs too. Portkey really was a terrible way to travel for first-timers, I really need to think of some ways to land gracefully otherwise I would be humiliated in front of other people. I stood up and looked around the room, it looked like the living room. The room looked luxurious the furniture looked new and the sofa and the couches were very comfortable but then again this is a Malfoy property in Paris and they always show their wealth.
I toured the house with both Riley and Dobby and saw that the house was double storeyed with four bedrooms attached with bathrooms and another guestroom. I selected a bedroom and placed my bag there and ordered both Riley and Dobby to find a room for themselves to which both of them.happily complied.
Dobby had been in the house before and was helpful in seeing the house. He told that the French Wizarding Market was near and they could buy the groceries there. Tomorrow was Sunday and the plan couldn't be executed till Monday afternoon.
Tomorrow I will tour Paris and will do a little sight seeing with some robbery here and there so that I may not have problems. Killing two people with the dark mark floating in the sky would be suspicious as one murder was in England while the other one will be in Paris. I had decided to use the killing curse but this time there will be a distraction due to muggle techniques which I would implement so that the two cases couldn't be connected.
I had already brewed the deadly poison which intercepted the nervous system and killed a person within thirty seconds if the poison entered the blood stream, I had used the modified recipe by Severus and now the potion needed only ten seconds to kill someone and was highly potent a single drop or prick of a pin coated by the poison would be enough to kill a person. It was a poison which was in a dark arts book by Borgin, there were many other poisons but I selected this as this one couldn't be counteracted by a bezoar. Moreover if I used a poison which could be found in a dark arts book then the authorities will strictly inquire the apothecarpies about the sale of its ingredients or the poison but I had bought the ingredients in Britain and Edrick never exposed a customer so I was not worried about it.
Riley will freeze Natalie's father for ten seconds after I apply the poison so that he can't apparate and escape, moreover it is only my gain that the other witches and wizards never understood the full importance or advantages of an elf and only considered them as lowly beings living only to serve. While they could be undetected and can only be seen by their owner if ordered they could still be detected by the human revealing spell ' homenum revelio ' , speaking of which I really need to work on my masking spell. I placed the thoughts for later and focused on touring Paris for tomorrow. I will perhaps stay for another four or five days after which I will return to England for the work on the shop with Lucius. The bath salts and soaps were very nice inventions and I really need to work on them so that we can have the stock complete otherwise we would be in shortage of the supplies.
Lucius had told that it will take less than a week for the license to come as Lucius had promised me that he will personally go for the license as he had 35 percentage in the business while my work will be mainly to make enough soaps and bath salts to sell. After one week we will determine the sale and hire the assistants depending on the sale of the products.
Speaking of which, tomorrow I would have to rob some people for some muggle money as I only had Pounds and no Euros to spend. I sighed and went to sleep to my bedroom

She was horrified by Severus question to kill her father but reluctantly realised that the only way for her and her sister to be free from this painful situation was to eliminate her father from her way. Afterall It was for the greater good.
She had told everything about her father to Severus and he had made the plans to kill him. She was also happy that Severus was doing this all for just her, she knew that he never knew and understood love but she was touched by his answer when she had asked him that whether he loved her or not.
