Red Eyes shuddered before whispering to Blue Eyes. "Is this what you were telling me about earlier? What happened at the mansion?"
"That's it alright."
Arceus stood still staring right at the twins. "I have been waiting for this moment. Now I shall finally bring the justice you two deserve."
Takumi and Ami's black aura burst around them. "What is happening to Takumi and Ami?" Magnamon asked. "I've never seen a human generate so much energy…but just looking at them fills me with dread."
"Arceus…you make me sick…" Ami snarled.
"Just to get to me and my sister, you manipulate Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. You interlude on our mission to save Erika and Oblivia. You hurt our friends who have nothing to do with this, and yet you have the nerve to think you speak for justice!?" Takumi spat.
Date ran in front of Ami. "Ami, Takumi, just claim down!"
Rand grabbed Takumi's shoulders. "Don't give in to your anger! You're only proving Arceus's point!"
"STAY OUT OF THIS!" With a swipe of one hand from each of them, Takumi and Ami summoned a blast of wind that sent both Rand and Date flying. They crashed into the ground.
"Papa!"
"Rand!" Leanne and her daughter ran over to the Ranger.
"Date, are you alright?!" Matayoshi hurried to his subordinate.
Takumi and Ami faced Arceus again. "This ends right now." Ami said. "Rosemon, attack!"
"Rapidmon, show no mercy!"
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina summoned boulders that hovered around them in the form of Ancient Power. They flung the stones towards Rosemon Burst Mode and Rapidmon Armor. Rapidmon looked like it was almost instantly teleporting left and right rather then moving, but it he dodged them with ease. Rosemon swung the whips on her arms around with enough strength to smash the rocks into pebbles.
"What speed and strength!" Kentaurosmon gasped. "Is this Takumi and Ami's power?"
"No." Jesmon replied. "Takumi and Ami's strength shouldn't be this sinister. Something wrong is happening to them!"
After another couple of sounds of Rapidmon blinking in and out he completely vanished. "What? Where'd he go?" Murph asked. Suddenly loud smashing sounds were heard and shockwaves formed in front of Dialga as its head was knocked upward downward, back and forth. "D-did Rapidmon turn invisible?!"
"No. He's just moving at a speed far too fast for human eyes." UlforceVeedramon replied.
Rosemon flung her whip forward and it coiled around Palkia's neck. She roared as she swung the giant Pokemon overhead and smashed it into the ground. Both Rapidmon and Rosemon then instantly appeared at Giratina's left and right and each threw a punch at each side of it's head before kneeing it in the face.
Arceus stared at them as it saw what it did to the creation trio. "This destructive power is more then I anticipated."
"You haven't seen anything yet!" Takumi growled.
Rapidmon and Rosemon flew towards Arceus next. It fired a Hyper Beam at them but they flew around it and circled around to get behind Arceus. They each kicked it in the back of the head, making it hunch over. Rosemon flipped over it's head and wrapped her thorns around it before swinging it overhead into the ground. Then she spun around and slammed it into a pillar, bringing it down on the Pokemon in pieces. Rapidmon pointed his twin arm cannons at it and roared as he shot violet blast after violet blast of light into the rubble burying Arceus. With each shot a explosion and a laud bang frightened the spectators.
Nema kneeled in front of Summer who was on the ground and shook her. "Summer! Come on, wake up!"
"It's no use." Keith said examining Ben. "They're alive, but they're both out cold." He shielded his eyes from the shine of another blast. "And what a time for it too!"
Rapidmon Armor charged into the rubble and lifted Arceus as he flew high into the sky. Once he was high enough, he threw it downward, making it descend at a frightening pace. But instead of slamming into the stone fortress floor, Rosemon Burst Mode kicked it in the midsection sending it back up again towards Rapidmon who fired again once Arceus was at point blank range. Just then Palkia teleported behind him and hit him in the back with its claws. Giratina wrapped it's tendrils around Rosemon's wrists, ankles, and midsection and lifted her off the floor holding her above it. She roared and struggled like a frantic wild beast in a trap, but could barley move an inch in the legendary Pokemon's grip. As it held her above it, it charged energy then fired a black ray into her back sending her flying higher and higher as the attack pushed her by her back. Palkia flung Rapidmon into her from the right, stopping her ascension as they crashed into each other. Then from above, Dialga shot a blue beam into both of them sending them smashing back to the ground. As they got up, the creation trio stood in front of Arceus. "So, you three are going to stand in our way, is that it?" Takumi asked.
"You are not the only ones with allies providing protection."
"Then we'll pummel all of them just as you did our allies." Ami replied.
Rapidmon vanished again and headbutted Palkia so hard it flew away. Then it fired at Dialga. Rosemon dashed past Giratian, coiling her whips around it's tail as she passed by. Giratina was dragged away with her as she flew out of the fortress again and up high before swinging Giratina into the fortress wall. She retracted her thorns and pointed them at the dragon. They glowed red and fired crimson sparks at the Giratina. They blew up upon contact and Giratina roared in pain until it let out a dark wave that made her stop the attack as she lost balance. It charged blue fire in it's mouth but right when it was about to fire, Rapidmon Armor swooped in and slammed into Giratina leaving a huge hole behind as it was dragged inside the Sky Fortress. The burrowing shook the floor everyone stood on. Rythmi, Nokia, Yu, Nema and Yuuko fell over. Rand held onto Leanne when she looked like she was about to drop. "This is nuts!" Chitose said. "If this keeps up this place might get torn apart for real!"
"Takumi! Ami! Get a hold of yourselves!" Kyoko shouted.
Neither of them listened. They just grinned wickedly and cackled as they watched the chaos ensue. "This is bad." Yuugo muttered. "Not even Kyoko is getting through to them!"
Dialga flung more rocks at Rosmon, but she swerved around all of them and gave Dialga a roundhouse kick. Palkia charged into her and pinned her against a wall with one hand and prepared to attack with Spacial Rend with the other. But then Giritina was burst through the wall with Rapidmon still pushing it and was thrown into Palkia. Rosemon got back up as the creation trio was lined up. The whips coiled around her arms extended and she struck each of them repeatedly making laud slapping sounds with each strike. As she did that, Rapidmon shot a rapid fire volley of purple energy pellets at them and even the barrel on his back started firing small missiles at them. Down below everyone watched at the violent sight. "Why won't they just go down already?" Ami snarled. "Rosemon!"
"Rapidmon, full power!" Takumi ordered.
"Takumi, that's enough!" Nokia ran over in front of the young boy and grabbed his shoulders.
"Ami, get a grip!" Arata yelled as he shook her.
Suddenly both of them hunched over and screamed in pain clutching their heads. "Takumi! Ami! Can you hear us?!" Nokia asked.
"Don't let them get away! You know what you must do!"
"Shut up…" Takumi muttered to the voice in his head. His black aura started to shrink.
"Would you rather let your friends be the ones to suffer!?"
"Get…out of my head…!" Ami groaned as her hair started to slowly return to normal.
"Hey, I think it's working!" Murph said.
"Nokia, Arata, keep talking to them!" Lunick said. "It looks like you're getting through!"
"Okay…" Nokia whispered as she thought of what to say. "Takumi, you're just suffering from some negative vibes! You're at that age, it happens to all of us! Just try to stop thinking abut it! Think happier thoughts! Like…I know! Our time in the Digital World! Remember all the games we played together with Agumon, Gabumon and Terriermon?"
"Ami, come on!" Arata kept a firm grip on the girl. "You gotta fight it! Don't let this darkness Arceus keeps rambling on about win! Prove to it that you can overpower it! I know you're strong enough. You've always been the strongest person I've ever known!"
Takumi slowly looked up. His eyes were back to normal. "No...kia…?"
Nokia gasped in surprise but smiled when she saw her friend back to normal. "Takumi! I knew you could do it! Welcome back!"
Ami's eyes were blue again when she looked up. "Arata…please…"
"I'm right here." Arata nodded and held her close. "Hang in there."
"Oh, thank goodness." Matayoshi sighed.
Rapidmon Armor and Rosemon Burst Mode froze and let the creation trio drop to the floor. But Arceus still remained. "Gyuiiiin!" It let out a roar and shot spheres at the two Digimon in front of it. The impact crashed them to the ground in front at the Cyber Sleuths.
"R-Rapidmon!"
"Rosemon?!"
Arceus teleported to the ground and glowed a bright gold. "Nokia! Arata! Get down!" Keisuke yelled.
Arcesus launched another Hyper Beam that swept across the ground. It didn't hit anyone, but Arata, Nokia, Ami, and Takumi were flung away from each other. As they all tried to get up, Arceus shot another sphere that exploded near Nokia and Arata, flinging them back into a stone pillar.
Takumi shot up. "Nokia!"
"Arata!" Ami yelled.
Ryuji and Chitose ran over to them. "Sanada, get a hold of yourself!"
"Nokia, can you hear me?!" Chitose asked.
Both Takumi and Ami glared at Arceus. "Raaaaaaaaaaaah!" Their eyes turned red and their hair rose up again as the black aura burned even brighter then before.
"Oh, come on." Red Eyes muttered. "Right when things were looking up too."
"Rapidmon, get up!"
"Rosemon…I order you to destroy Arceus!" Both Digimon stood up and roared. Black aura glowed brightly around them.
"Takumi!" Nokia had tears in her eyes just seeing them like this.
"Ami, no!" Arata shouted.
Rapidmon spread his hands apart and a gold light crossed between them and to his feet. "GOLDEN…TRIANGLE!"
"AGUICHANT...LÉVRES!" Rosemon held a hand at her lips and the gems around her glowed.
"DISSAPEAR FOR GOOD!" Takumi and Ami yelled right before their Digimon fired off their attacks. A huge gold and pink burst far bigger than their normal signature attacks swooped across the floor. Arceus stared right at Takumi and Ami as it was engulfed with the light.
A huge explosion blinded everyone watching. Purple Eyes peeked out from behind his hiding spot. "How splendid. That curse really is something else."
Everyone started into the smoke cloud that hung over the spot Arceus was standing on. "Takumi…Ami…I can't believe it…" Jesmon murmured. "What happened to you two?"
Kellyn was still trying to see through the smoke. "Did they do it? Did they defeat Arceus?"
"I don't know…" Solana replied. "Maybe?"
"Oh…" Everyone turned to Ben as she slowly tried to push himself off the floor. "Where…?"
"*cough*" Summer hacked and gasped for air as she sat up. "Ow…what just…?"
"Ben! Summer! Are you two okay?!" Nema asked.
"I thought I was a gonner." Summer sighed.
Ben looked up and saw the twins. "T-Takumi! Ami! That's-!
"They went ballistic on us again to save you two from Arceus." Kyoko said. "But something's not right…"
"What makes you say that now?" Kate asked.
Kyoko put a hand at her chin. "When Takumi and Ami turned, Arceus let Ben and Summer go. And it could have destroyed them much faster if it really wanted to with one of it's stronger attacks even if you put the Styler's shields into account. But it slowly tried to crush the life out of them instead? It's almost as if it was trying to provoke Takumi and Ami…" Suddenly she saw a sparkle of gold in the dust. "What?!"
Two thing golden beams flew at high speed right past Rapidmon and Rosemon and slammed right into Takumi and Ami. They gasped at the sudden impact and looked down. The light went inside of them. The dust cleared away and showed Arceus standing. Two of the points on the ring around it's body were firing off the lights.
"NO!" Ben yelled.
Takumi and Ami stared at the light. They weren't hurt. But something felt weird. "Wh-what is this?" Takumi grunted.
Arceus stood still. "The time is now." "Gyuiiiiin!" The beams glowed brighter.
"What's that thing doing now?!" Kentaurosmon asked.
"Ngh…GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Takumi grabbed the pole of light and yelled. The black aura around him started to shrink.
"AH! GYAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Ami screamed as the aura faded completely and her and her brother's hair returned to normal.
The lights extracted from their bodies and pulled something out of each of them. On the other end were two purple embers. Ben got a look at the flames. He saw them before. "Isn't that…?!"
Arceus pulled the lights and the embers with them into it's body. As soon as the ominous flames were absorbed Arceus howled in pain. Now the black aura surrounded it's body. "Arceus!" Kellyn shouted.
It barely managed to stand on its legs. Its breathing was labored. But it still remained in control of itself. Takumi and Ami were about to collapse when Ben and Summer ran over and caught them. Rapidmon and Rosemon returned to normal and dropped to the floor. "Takumi! Ami!" Everyone ran over to them.
"Are you alright?!" Matayoshi asked.
Takumi slowly opened his eyes. They were back to their normal blue. "Huh? My chest feels…so light…"
Rapidmon Armor groaned as he got up. "Huh? What's going on?"
Ami opened her eyes next. They were also back to normal. She slowly brought a hand to her head. "Those voices…they're gone. I can't hear them anymore."
Rosemon Burst Mode hurried to her. "Ami! What happened?!"
"It looks like you two are back to yourselves." Summer smiled.
"Finally…the deed is done." Everyone looked at Arceus. It looked exhausted. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina looked as if they were concerned for it.
"The deed is done?" What do you mean by that?" Leanne asked. "Weren't you going to destroy Takumi and Ami?"
"My target…my target was never…the two of them…What I was after…was the darkness that infected them…But in order to make sure all of it was absorbed…I had to draw out their negative emotions."
Everyone took a moment took a moment to catch on. "Arceus…You fool!" Gallantmon said. "You did all this just to intentionally provoke Takumi and Ami?!"
"Y-you aren't going to destroy them?" Nokia asked.
"Of course not. I know what happened was not their intent…This was all because of a curse cast a long time ago…A curse from Sabios."
"Sabios?" Yuuko asked.
Ben looked down. "I knew it. Guys, do you remember when we rescued Ravio?"
"Yeah? What about it?" Summer asked.
"Remember what Sabios did right before he escaped? He threw some strange light into Takumi and Ami."
"Hey, that's right." Arata said. "And both of them were in intense pain that made them pass out for a while…"
"I saw Arceus pull that same light out of them just now."
Yuugo's eyes widened. "Of course! That was around the time Takumi and Ami started acting more aggressive!"
"So, it was all Sabios's doing." Yuuko glared at the floor. "We should have known…"
"But why?" Keisuke asked. "What did he hope to gain by doing that?"
"I sensed a small yet potentiate dark force within Takumi and Ami on the day we first faced each other. Perhaps he wanted me to view you as my enemies."
"That snake." Arata growled.
"I knew after seeing Takumi and Ami's true nature that the darkness I felt could not have been their own. That power…it reminded me of Sabios. At first I thought it might die out on its own in time. But the stress of their battles, the fear of losing someone precious, the hatred for those who would do wicked things to others…Negative emotions gave it strength. When I first saw it erupt uncontrollably and take control of them, I began to fear what would happen if it was left unchecked. Perhaps it would take over them permanently. I could not let Sabios's selfishness do that to such pure hearted youths. I did not want to do any of you any harm, but I saw no other option. Forgive me."
"Arceus…" Ben murmured.
Keith turned to the professor. "So, the reason why our Stylers had no effect was…"
"Because Arceus already trusted you and understood your feelings." Hastings smiled.
"What about Dialga and the others?" Rythmi asked.
"I explained my plan to them. My intentions of saving Takumi and Ami. Once they understood they agreed to help me pressure them into releasing the darkness in their hearts."
Takumi groaned as he attempted to stand and failed, continuing to lean on Ben. "Arceus…what's going to happen to you now that you absorbed it?"
"Fear not. I can hold it back. Within time I can destroy it while it is inside me."
"Arceus…thank you." Ami smiled.
"No, my friends. It is I who must thank you. Even now you fought bravely for Oblivia."
"I guess that's it then." Solana said.
"No, it isn't!" Date replied. "Don't forget what we came here to do!"
"Oh, that's right!" Nokia said. "Arceus, have you seen Sabios? He took Keisuke's friend Erika hostage!"
"That's right! Sabios is supposed to be here, but he never showed up!" Chitose added.
"I too have been seeking Sabios ever since this Fortress reappeared. But he is not here. I suspect he may have sensed my presence and fled."
"Of course, he did." Armageddemon muttered. "The coward."
"You're sure he isn't here?" Blue Eyes asked.
"I sensed the presence of the Golden Armor along with this fortress. But it disappeared just as I entered. I decided to instead focus on my other goal of saving the Cyber Sleuths of his curse."
Keisuke looked at the group. "Now what do we do? He still has Erika."
Kyoko thought to herself.
"If you and your sister perished before playing out your role it would devastate my plan."
Kyoko gasped. "Oh, no…!"
Ami and her brother looked at her. "Kyoko?"
"Arceus, you need to get out of here now!"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Ben asked.
"Too late." A familiar voice and a snap of fingers were herded. Then the aura around Arceus suddenly exploded, engulfing it completely. The Pokemon roared in anguish.
"Arceus!" Summer shouted.
Everyone heard a laugh and looked up. Sabios slowly descended towards the ground. GranDracmon and Erika who was still restrained with the metal devices were with him.
"Sabios!" Ben growled.
"Erika!" Keisuke shouted.
"What did you do to Arceus?!" Summer yelled.
"Well done Cyber Sleuths." Sabios cackled. "You performed your role spectacularly. Now that Arceus has accepted the gift I left with you it is much easier to control it with my magic."
"This was all part of his scheme." Kyoko said. "He hid himself until Arceus carried out it's plan to set off a trap."
"I was not planning this when I first inflicted those two with my curse. As Arceus said, my initial plan was to make it sense the darkness in them and destroy them. After all, I couldn't let you kids impede my plans repeatedly. But after my defeat at the hands of the hero I had to start all of my plans from scratch. But while I was scheming during my long wait for this time, I considered the fact that my curse was still in you and began devising ways I can use that. At first, I considered trying to control the two of you with it. But then I got an even better idea." He shifted his gaze to Ben. "Thank you for sharing that "Trojan Horse" story. It was very inspiring." Ben growled at him. Sabios turned to the tormented Arceus. "At last. The most powerful Pokemon. You're mine now Arceus."
"Stop him!" Rand yelled.
"Right!" Ominmon and the other Royal Knights charged at Sabios, but the man held up his hand and a violet wall stopped them.
"You've gotta be kidding me." Jesmon growled.
Sabios put his other hand over Arceus's face. "Dialga! Palkia! Giratina! Do something!" Kate said.
The three Pokemon on the other side of the shield got up and rushed towards Sabios, but GranDracmon grabbed Dialga and Palkia by their necks and stomped on Giratina's tail, pinning it there. "Ha! The Cyber Sleuths did quite a number on you three. I can easily overpower you nuisances with my fully restored strength!" He threw Dialga and Palkia aside and grabbed Giratina by the tail before slamming it into the ground.
"It knocked out all three of them!" Nema gasped.
"GYUIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!" Everyone turned back to Arceus. Purple light emanated from Sabios's hand and onto it's face. The black aura round it grew.
"No! Arceus!" Takumi yelled.
Suddenly Arceus started to change colors. The gold ring around it became purple. It's white body turned back. "What are you doing to Arceus?!" Solana asked.
Sabios cackled as he let go of its head. "Arceus has been consumed by my curse. Even it is powerless before my magic now."
Arceus opened it's eyes. They flashed red. "GYUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!" Red bolts of lightning rained down around it as the barrier faded.
"The next phase of the plan was a resounding success." GranDracmon said. "We used our combine powers to bring over Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to this Fortress to draw Arceus out here." He picked up the gagged Erika who's hands and feet were still bond together in electronic cuffs. "And this girl served as the perfect bait to lure the rest of you to the Sky Fortress."
"You're plan from the start was to take control of Arceus!" Yuuko said.
Ami glared at them. "Then the Sky Fortress itself…"
"…was of no interest to me." Sabios said. "It failed me against the hero a thousand years ago. And it failed Ed and his gang three months ago when they tired to use it to conquer the world. Do you really think I would attempt the same plan that failed twice now? Besides, compared to the One World Plan's masterpiece, the Sky Fortress is nothing more then a floating hunk of rock."
"Masterpiece?" Ami asked.
"Well now that we have Arceus, we have no need for you meddlesome humans." GranDracmon said. "Including this weak little girl."
"Don't you dare." Ryuji glared.
"Let Erika go!" Chitose ordered.
"Are you sure?" GranDracmon taunted before holding Erika over the edge of the fortress. "Reeeeeeeally sure?"
"Don't do it!" Ben yelled.
"Erika!" Keisuke ran towards them.
"Keisuke!" Takumi shouted. He tired to get up, but his body failed him.
"Still trying to play the hero?" Sabios mocked. "Side characters like you should know when it's time to leave the stage."
"Out of my way!" Keisuke pushed Sabios aside and kept running. Just as GranDracmon let Erika go Keisuke jumped off the Sky Fortress after her.
"Keisuke!" TyrantKabuterimon flew after his partner, but GranDracmon rammed his skull into him, knocking him over.
"KEISUKE! ERIKA!" Ryuji shouted. "NO!" GranDracmon laughed as Ryuji dropped to his knees. Everyone else was shocked into silence.
Erika screamed into her gag as she fell. The sea was directly below her, and there was no way she could stay afloat with her arms and legs still restrained.
"Is this it? No…please no…there was so much more I wanted to do…So much I wanted to tell Keisuke, Ryuji and Chitose…I finally got to see them again…Not now…not here…"
"Erika!" She looked up and saw Keisuke falling towards her. He reached out his hand and grabbed her shoulder. "Gotchya! Whoa!" Suddenly something tugged him and Erika to a halt. "Huh?" Keisuke looked over his shoulder. There was a long trail on web connecting to a lower area of the Sky Fortress. "What the-
"Hrgh!" He then saw that the other end wasn't attached to him. It was coming from the mouth of a Digimon stuck on his back.
"WORMMON?!"
"Dat wash cwosh!" Wormmon muttered trying not to let the web out of his mouth.
"When the heck did you-?!
Erika nearly screamed at the sight of her Digimon. "A widle hewb wouh be nish!" Worrmon said.
Keisuke had a death grip on Erika, fearing what would happen if he dropped her. "I kinda have my hands full here."
"Yow meawn I goha wift you buth ub ah onsh?! Ogay…hwef…ho!" Wormmon slowly got them an inch higher. Then another. And another.
Keisuke closed his eyes. "Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down!"
Erika squinted at them. "My heroes." But in her heart, she was happy. "Still…it's nice to see that Keisuke hasn't changed."
Back at the fortress everyone was still in shock at what just happened. "Keisuke…" Takumi breathed. "No…"
"Why did it have to end like this?" Ami asked.
"Well, that's two down. Literally." GranDracmon asked. "Now then, who's next?"
Ryuji clutched his fists as he stood up. "GranDracmon…Sabios…YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!"
GranDracmon laughed. "Does this mean you volunteer Ryuji? Excellent. I'll enjoy erasing every last trace of Hudie."
TyrantKabuterimon charged head on into GranDracmon. His giant hands grabbed both his arms and pushed him against a wall. "How dare you do that to Keisuke and Erika! I won't let you get away with this! YOU'RE DEAD!"
"Don't make me laugh! Nightmare!" GranDracmon opened his mouth and a purple light exploded in front of TyrantKabuterimon, making him back away.
"Thunder Fall!" He shot lighting at the vampire, but the target disappeared into mist and reappeared right behind him ready to attack. But before he could make his move, TyrantKabuterimon whirled around and slammed his arm into him. "Crescent Leaf!" He slammed him into the ground and threw a burning bolder at him. "Meteor Fall!"
Everyone watched as the attack exploded and sent GranDracmon flying. "TyrantKabuterimon…" Ami whispered.
The bug Digimon flew up to GranDracmon and caught it in his arms again. "You're history! SHINE OF BEE!" A fiery explosion engulfed both of them. Everyone shielded their eyes. When it died down, TyrantKabuterimon stood alone. "Hah…hah…Serves you right…"
"Did…did he get him?" Murph asked.
"It couldn't have been that easy." Justimon said.
And then the black Arceus teleported in front of TyrantKabuterimon. It howled and it rammed it's head into him, sending him crashing back into the fortress.
"TyrantKabuterimon!" Justimon and Vikemon hurried to their comrade's side.
Everyone heard a laugh and were directed to GranDracmon who stood next to Sabios in one piece. "Did you really think I would fall so easily? Fools! I am now stronger than any Digimon! Even Arcadiamon is nothing compared to me now!"
Arceus unleashed a crimson colored Judgment attack. TyrantKabuterimon saw the deadly light and shoved Vikemon and Justimon aside before taking the brunt of the attack. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The red lights exploded. After the smoke cleared Tentomon was seen lying in a crater.
"Tentomon!" MarineAngemon flew over to him.
"Arceus, come to your senses!" Ben pleaded.
"It's no use boy." Sabios cackled. "Arceus is gone. All that is left is its body which now bends to my absolute will."
"Sabios…you're not going to get away with this…" Takumi grunted as he slowly got up.
Rapidmon stood up as well. "Takumi…"
Summer noticed Ami trying to stand as well. "Ami, don't push yourself!"
"Arceus is suffering because of us! We have to make it up to it! We can't just sit and watch!"
Rosemon Burst Mode stood up. "That's right! As long as we draw breath, we'll keep fighting for everyone!"
Sabios laughed. "You wish to fight the greatest Digimon and Pokemon at the same time? Well, by all means, if you think you're up to the task, go for it." He took out a handheld device. "Don't mind me, I'll just be entertaining myself right here."
"Is that cocky creep mocking us?" Date glared.
"He knows he has a huge advantage over us." Matayoshi muttered.
"Everyone." Omnimon whispered. "I think we can pull this off if we channel the power of the Royal Knights into one attack."
"How do we do that?" Yuugo whispered back.
"By sending energy into one of us and using it to attack both GranDracmon and Arceus at the same time. But it will take a while. While we're focusing our strength, the rest of you need to distract them. Alphamon, will you unleash the attack?"
"Too obvious. They'll be weary of me since they know I can stand on equal footing with Arceus. I'll do better to draw their attention. Takumi's Digimon, Rapidmon Armor may not be a Royal Knight, but he is a Holy Knight Digimon. And those two hold mysterious power just like Ami and her partner. I think they'll do perfectly. Rapidmon, are you up for it? Mind you, this may use up all your strength and put a huge strain on you, so you have to make sure you don't miss."
Takumi looked at Rapidmon in concern. "I already caused you enough pain…"
"You know this is the only way. Don't worry about me Takumi. I'll be fine."
The boy sighed. "…Alright."
"Got it." Ben nodded. "We'll cover you."
"Are you humans done muttering to yourselves over there?" GranDracmon asked. "I'd like to get to the part where I crush all of you now."
"Just try!" Ami yelled. "Rosemon!"
"Right!" Rosemon and Alpahamon lead most of the Digimon and all the Pokemon forward. Alphamon swung Ouryuken at Arceus, who blacked the attack with a violet orb that orbited around it. Latios, ShineGreymon and Justimon tackled into it, carrying it into the air. Rosemon Burst Mode swung her whip at GranDracmon, but it jumped back and flew backwards. Rosemon, Latias, and Kerpymon flew after it.
Kate picked up Tentomon and hurried to the others. "We need to make Arceus see that we're not it's enemies." Professor Hastings said. "But DranDracmon won't make it easy. As soon as he's dealt with, get your Stylers ready."
"Roger." The Rangers nodded.
"Everyone, gather around Rapidmon." Omnimon said as he stood in front of Takumi's Digimon.
"Right." UlforceVeedramon stood at his left.
"Understood." Gallantmon got to his right.
"Takumi, Rapidmon, we're counting on you." Maganmon said, getting next to UlforceVeedramon.
"We'll give you everything we've got!" Jesmon said as he got next to Magnamon. "Go get him!"
"Hmph. I'm not fond of this plan." Kentaurosmon said as he got between Jesmon and Gallantmon, completing a circle around Rapidmon Armor. "But I suppose we have no choice. I'll make an exception just this once."
They each held a hand out towards Rapidmon Armor and glowed white. A magic circle formed under his feet as he started to glow. "Oh! This power, is even greater than I imagined…"
"As Alphamon said, our combine power will take it's toll." Gallantmon said. "Just try to endure until we are done."
"You can do it Rapidmon." Takumi said. "I'm right here with you."
"Thank you, Takumi…"
Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno fired fire, electricity and Ice at Arceus, who maneuvered around the attacks. It then shot a Hyper Beam at them, making the birds scatter. Then it was hit from the side by a blast of flames, thunder and water shot by Entei, Raikou, and Suicune back on the Sky Fortress. It teleported over to them and blew them away with a blast of light. Vikemon then attacked it next. "Artic Blizzard!" He froze Arceus's legs to the ground with ice.
As Arceus was pinned down, Chaosdramon looked straight at it. His red vision showed a target marker spin and close in on Arceus before he saw the words "Target Locked" displayed over it. He aimed his shoulder cannons at it. "Hyper Infinity Cannon." As Vikemon threw his Morning Star, he shot two broad lasers at it. As the combined attacks collided into Arceus, Chaosdramon aimed his claw at it next. "Destroyed Hook."
Up in the sky, GranDracmon shot purple lasers at Rosemon, Alphamon, Kerpymon and Justimon. They swerved around the attacks as they spread towards him. Then the spread out when they were close and Lalios and Latias zoomed past them from behind and slammed into him. He stumbled back a bit before summoning a large crystal. "Crystal Revelation!" He sent it flying towards the eon Pokemon, but Alphampn rose up in front of them.
"Ultimate Ouryuken!" She sliced the Crystal cleanly in half. She then came at him with a charging thrust, but he moved out of the way and hit her in the back with a violet laser. While his back was turned, Kerpymon grabbed his right arm and Justimon grabbed his left. "Gah! You pests!"
"Aguichant Lèvres!" Rosemon fired pink beams into his face.
After taking the hit GranDracmon growled and a purple explosion of energy set off around him. "AWAY WITH YOU WORMS!" All three of them went flying.
Latios and Latias fired their Luster Purge and Mist Ball attacks. As GranDracmon stumbled from the hits, Alphamon charged at him again.
Meanwhile Arceus fired Hyper Beams everywhere, making it's attackers back away. That's when it spotted Rapidmon Armor. "Hrgh…" The Digimon winced as while lightning cackled around him.
"Just a bit further Rapidmon!" Takumi said. "Be strong!"
Jesmon noticed Arceus staring at them. "Uh, guys? They might be onto us."
"Oh, great." Ben muttered.
Arceus charged another blast. "Final Shinning Burst!" An eruption of flames hit it from the side. It turned to the left as ShineGreymon Burst Mode who ran at it with two flaming swords.
Arceus jumped away but did not see Hououmon above it. "Starlight Explosion!" Gold meteors rained down and exploded in a heavenly light. Arceus came down and slammed on the floor as it landed on its feet. It looked up at Hououmon and shot another Hyper Beam.
"Almost there…" Omnimon said.
"You can do this Rapidmon!" Magnamon said.
Rapidmon was breathing heavily. "Just…a little more…"
GranDracmon was holding Latios and Latias by their heads as he threw them aside. He then spat a violet beam into Moltress and swatted Zapdos and Articuno.
"Justice Kick!" Justimon got a blow right in his face. Alphamon and Rosemon Burst Mode then grabbed his hind leg and threw GranDracmon towards the Sky Fortress.
Seeing GranDracmon hurling towards them, Marine Angemon blinded Arceus with a bright light, then moved aside as Entei and Vikemon rammed into it bashing it to the same spot GranDracmon was descending towards. They crashed into each other and dropped to the floor. GranDracmon pushed Arceus off him and stood up. "Heh. Not bad brats. I'm starting to think this will be fun."
"The fun's over for you!"
"Huh?" GranDracmon averted his attention to Rapidmon Armor, who glowed a bright white. His hands were held apart and a massive gold triangle hovered in front of him. "What?!" GranDracmon tried to fly away, but as soon as he went up, ShineGreymon Burst Mode hammered the back of his head and knocked him back down on top of Arceus.
"Sorry for the wait!" Nokia smirked. "Here's the big one!"
"Oh, yeah! Let's see some fireworks!" Keith grinned.
"Get him Takumi! Rapidmon!" Ami shouted.
"Finish the job!" Ben grinned.
Ryuji clutched his fist. "Do it for Erika and Keisuke!"
"I won't let you!" GranDracmon stood up and Arceus prepared to use Judgment. "Crystal-
"Oh, no you don't!" Red Eyes yelled. "Go! Phoenix Meteor!"
Blue Eyes held her hand forward. "Eternal Storm!"
Arceus was hit with a violent torrent of water courtesy of Mega Blastoise and MetalSeadramon. Mega Blaziken and PileVolcamon dropped down on top of GranDracmon, forming a explosion on it. When the flames cleared GranDracmon was missing an arm and a wing, and his front legs were damaged. "Impossible! How can this be?!"
Takumi narrowed his eyes. "Game over." He snapped his fingers.
"GOLDEN TRIANGLE!" The triangle of light in front of Rapidmon fired forward in the form of a huge laser.
"Uh!" GranDracmon looked up at the light in front of him. "GAAAAAAAAAH!" Both he and Arceus were swallowed in the bright light.
