"The barrier will be set by morning my lord." Jaken said as they sat in their hut. "It is a great undertaking given my lack of practice over the years but none will be able to enter until I recall it."

"Very good Jaken." He said feeling reassured. A knock on his door came loudly forcing him to jump up quickly to answer.

"Sesshomaru." Koga said as he was let in. "There's a problem. Totosai saw a group of humans approaching the mansion. He said it's a human lord."

"Damn it." Sesshomaru said clenching his fists. "It must be Naraku. He has arrived earlier than anticipated."

"Naraku?"

"Yes. He is Kagomes intended for marriage."

"But if he takes her away then what about the seal? She's the one who has made the best progress with bringing it down, hasn't she?"

"Yes." Sesshomaru growled out not caring about the seal at the moment. His Kagome was in danger, his wife, his mate.

'Forgive me my love, my Sesshomaru.' Her voice whispered across his mind. Stilling his eyes went wide. In a moment he had felt her deep melancholy before it was gone.

"We have to act tonight." He said. "We can easily overpower the guards with brute strength. Koga, ready the others."

"Now this what I'm talking about." He replied cracking his knuckles. "Finally.

Those humans are gonna pay."

"Avoid casualties if possible." Sesshomaru ordered quickly. "We will leave with as little blood shed as what is necessary."

"You're being serious? After everything they have done to us?" He quipped.

"You heard Lord Sesshomaru, wolf! Now be off with you!" Jaken yelled. Receiving a sneer from Koga he back pedaled slightly.

"Fine but I can't guarantee everyone is gonna go peacefully."

"It is understandable."

"Besides, a revolt will villainize all of us anyways."

"I have told you what to do. Now see that it is done." Sesshomaru stated.

"Yeah, yeah. I heard you the first time…Lord Sesshomaru." He waved off before exiting the hut.

Closing his eyes tightly he clenched his jaw. Now was the time for action. He had to stay with his people and trust that Miroku and Kagome could handle things on their own end.

"Keep working on the barrier Jaken. Do your best to place it sooner than later." Sesshomaru said.

"Yes my lord." Jaken said resuming his sitting position to meditate and concentrate on its construction. Walking outside Sesshomaru decided to deal with their biggest obstacle, Sango.

He would take it upon himself to make certain she didn't interfere.
