Day 23- Kanera: Showering

When Hera heard the bathroom door open she sighed. "That better just be Kanan!" she called from the shower.

"Sure is," called back the man, a smirk most definitely on his face.

Hera rolled her eyes. "Can I help you, love?" she asked with a sigh.

"Well," Kanan said. "With the kids out on a supply run and just you and me here at home, I figured it wouldn't hurt to drop by." His head poked into the shower. "And maybe drop in."

Hera raised an eyebrow at the incorrigible smirk on the man's face. But she took a step back allowing him room to climb in all the same.

"Thanks," Kanan smiled not hesitating to take his invitation. "You're so sweet, love!"

"Yeah, I know," Hera said rolling her eyes. Kanan leaned in to plant a kiss on her cheek.

"There's no need to say it like it's a bad thing," Kanan teased. "Besides you know this saves water and my hair needs a good washing anyway.

Hera groaned. "You, Kanan Jarrus, are insufferable!" Without hesitation, she shoved his head into the water, scrubbing at it furiously.

"Ah! Hey, hey!" Kanan spluttered. "Ow! Cut it out!" He managed to regain control of his head and grabbed Hera's wrists to stop her. "You trying to drown me, woman?"

"Excuse me?" Hera gasped. "What did you just call me, Kanan Jarrus? Do not speak to me like that! Besides," she said sticking out her tongue. "You said your hair needed a good washing."

Kanan let go of her. "Well, that's not quite what I meant. And you know it!" he said waving a finger at her. "But I am sorry for grabbing you like that."

Hera kissed his cheek. "Don't worry. Nothing to lose sleep over. If you kneel down I can wash your hair for you, love."

"Yeah, I'd like that," Kanan sighed doing as he was bid.

Hera laughed and shook her head. "You are truly something else," she said as she began to properly wash his hair. "What would I do without you?"

"That's a great question," Kanan said. "You'd probably shower faster for one."

"Why are you like this, love?" Hera groaned as Kanan laughed. "Can't you be quiet for a minute? And keep still, or I'll get soap in your eyes. And it might not be an accident," she emphasized through clenched teeth.

"Feisty are we?" Kanan chuckled. "I like it when you're feisty."

"One more comment like that from you, and I am throwing you out of the shower!" Hera shouted.

"Okay, fine," Kanan surrendered. "No fun right now. I get it."

"We can have fun later, but at least let me finish with your hair?" Hera sighed.

"Alright," Kanan agreed. "But I'm holding you to that."

"Oh don't you worry, Kanan Jarrus," Hera smirked. "You're in for it."

Kanan chuckled. "I look forward to it."
