Day 26- Rexsoka+Foxiyo: Protecting
It was not unusual to see clones escorting a senator or Jedi. It wasn't even so unusual to see a Jedi and a senator being escorted together. What was perhaps most unusual was that the two troopers were clearly from different divisions, and weren't really speaking with each other.
The one trooper walking alongside the senator was obviously from the Coruscant Guard, his red paint revealing that much. The other trooper had blue paint on his armor, and he walked bedside the Jedi. Perhaps some citizens would be able to identify him as a member of the ever famous 501st, but most would be baffled by the scene that passed before them.
Senator Riyo Chuchi and Ahsoka Tano, Jedi Knight, were comfortably talking, unconcerned of what was around them. The troopers flanking them perhaps only glanced at one another every now and then, but remained silent for a majority of the trip.
Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard and Captain Rex of the 501st were not opposed to the idea of talking to each other, but they were both busy. With their protégés happily discussing whatever, the men took the opportunity to give much of their attention to observing the area.
The streets of Coruscant were dangerous. The last thing Fox and Rex intended to happen was for either of the women to get hurt. As a result, they scanned their surroundings calmly -it wouldn't do to alarm either Riyo or Ahsoka.
No, Fox and Rex had nothing against each other. They simply had more important duties than talking with one another. And at the moment, one of those duties was protecting the women they loved.
