Day 28- Rexsoka: Airplane AU

Ahsoka didn't mind having a window seat in the plane. She enjoyed that part in fact. What bothered her was the rather jacked man, taller than herself, sitting next to her. Admittedly, he had hardly looked at her at all, but all the same, he made her uncomfortable.

What made it worse, was she was feeling sleepy. Even though she did want to sleep, she wasn't too thrilled by the idea of falling asleep besides this man, despite the fact that he seemed busy texting someone.

Ahsoka sighed and looked out the window. At least she wasn't between two guys. She closed her eyes and slouched in the seat, leaning towards the window. It would be a long ride...

Ahsoka slowly opened her eyes, blinking as bright lights flooded her vision. Her eyes adjusted to the light and she'd groaned. Her neck was somewhat stiff, and why was she facing the other way?

"Probably a good thing if you wake up now," a voice said to her left. "We're going to be landing in not too long."

She jumped slightly at the voice and sat up. It was the man beside her who had spoken, and judging from how she'd woken up, she had likely moved around in her seat and then been sleeping on his shoulder.

"Um," Ahsoka cleared her voice. "Th-thank you, for letting me know."

He looked at her, his browns eyes gentle. "You're welcome," he said. "I hope you were comfortable sleeping like that. You were out for a couple of hours, and I didn't want your neck getting stiff."

He didn't sound as scary as he looked. Ahsoka blushed and looked away. "Yeah, it wasn't too...too bad. My neck is a little bit stiff, but, it'll be fine. Probably. Sorry for sleeping on you," she mumbled.

The man smiled. "It's no problem. My brothers do that to me all the time. Nothing I'm not used to."

Ahsoka felt her face grow hotter and she mentally rolled her eyes at herself. She could not believe herself. "Well," she sighed. "I'm glad it didn't bother you. Too much."

He laughed. "Really, it wasn't a bother. As long as you're fine?"

She nodded. "Yeah...yeah. I'm fine."

A couple of minutes passed in a somewhat awkward silence. She took out her phone to let her brother know they'd be landing soon.

"My name's Rex, by the way," the man said. "Rex Fett."

Ahsoka looked up from her phone. "I'm Ahsoka Tano."

Rex smiled. "That's a pretty name. Where are you flying to?"

"I'm going to stay with my brother and his wife in the city. Living on my own just wasn't working out," Ahsoka explained.

"That's understandable," Rex nodded. "I'm actually going to stay with one of my brothers too. My older brother. He works in the city as an officer."

"Maybe we'll see each other around then?" Ahsoka couldn't even believe those words had just crossed her lips. She mentally smacked her.

"Yeah, maybe," Rex shrugged. "Doesn't seem too unlikely. I can give you my number?"

Ahsoka nodded. "Sure! Let's do that!"

Was falling for a man with a blonde buzzcut the weirdest thing she'd done? Probably not. Had she ever expected to do it? Not really.
