A MESSED UP DESTINY

A STAR WARS STORY

Chapter 45

Disclaimer: Disney owns everything and I make no profit from this.

Hello there everyone and welcome to chapter 45 of the story! Today we pick up right where we left off with Obi Wan and Co., meaning with them having just landed on Concordia to investigate Death Watch. But with a dark figure lurking in the shadows and a family secret about to be revealed, Satine and Obi Wan will have a lot on their plate. Also, please do forgive any minor inaccuracies in this chapter, since while I am intimately familiar with Mandalore's history in Star Wars, I haven't watched the related Clone Wars episodes in quite some time, but I will do my best to stay true to canon in regards to Mandalorian Customs and Traditions.

Also, right below the chapter is a list of translations for the Mando'a used by characters. I'll try to give context when I can, and it's not necessary to understand the story of course, but it's there if anyone wants to check it out.

Anyways, we have quite the tale to cover today, so without further ado…let's jump right into the chapter!

The Shadow of Mandalor! Having finally arrived on Concordia, the task of finding Bo Katan is not an easy one, but Obi Wan won't have to face it alone as Jango Fett and Duchess Satine have put their differences aside to help on this mission, one that could change the future of Mandalore forever. With Death Watch on the rise and a mysterious figure shadowing their leader, Pre Vizsla, will Obi Wan and Co. be able stop an evil plot to exact revenge, or will chaos lead the Mandalorians astray once more?

Moon of Concordia, Abandoned Mining Facility, Obi Wan's point of view:

Having trekked along the moon's surface for hours now, we were finally reaching the formerly abandoned mining facilities where Satine and I had discovered in another life, the outside of the Death Watch base looking the part. Jango knew better however, because he peeked out from behind the rocks we were using to hide, and silently gestured towards the two Death Watch Commandos guarding the entrance. Their armor was colored in a dark blue and black, providing excellent cover as it seemed to merge with the environment around them.

Satine cursed under her breath the moment she spotted them, finally understanding that Death Watch was a serious threat if the string of self-scolding thoughts were any indication. Choosing to ignore said phrases, as well as the unpleasant memory of nearly being killed inside that place, I turned to Jango, who was aiming at the duo of guards with a wrist rocket.

"No!", I whispered to him, moving to block his view. Jango grumbled under his breath, but nodded in recognition of the fact that attracting attention wasn't the best idea, his eyes still glued to the Death Watch members.

I could sense a deep hatred burning inside of him, and knowing what I do of Galidraan, there was no way to blame him, but we had to be careful, because the same fire that he'll use to raze them to the ground may also burn us too, and I couldn't let that happen. Satine nudged my shoulder, pointing to an unguarded but narrow path on the mountainside, one that would get us right next to the base. Jango -fires still blazing in his eyes- took the lead, and soon enough, we descended.

The two Commandoes were carefully scanning the perimeter, as if they were expecting something to attack at any second. They hadn't seen us yet –the Force said as much- so what were they looking for?

"They seem nervous.", observed Satine, her voice low. Jango and I gave twin nods of agreement, watching as the two Commandoes fidgeted in their spots. Trained soldiers would never do such thing, and for Mandalorians to behave like this, something had really scared them. But what could terrify Death Watch members like this?

It seemed like we were about to get our answer, since one of the Mandos nudged the other's shoulder, and with a small, nearly undetectable nod from the second, he began to talk. "Are we sure what the Al'verde is doing is a good idea? I'm all for restoring our home, but these Darjet'ii seem like a disaster waiting to happen…", he whispered, as if still contemplating the situation himself.

The second shrugged nonchalantly, and I could sense the faith he had for their leader, Vizsla, in whose decisions he had complete confidence. Then again, if the Sith –meaning Sidious- were somehow involved, he should've been more worried. "The Alor knows what he's doing. He's no or'dinii.", he said in what was supposed to be a reassuring tone. Instead, it only made the other sigh in annoyance.

"I know that, but what good is it to restore Mandalore if that Auruetiise take it from us? They might want it for themselves, so I don't trust those outsiders!", the Mando replied, but the second one shut him up with a single look, letting him know he'd spoken too much.

Neither of them seemed keen in disclosing more information, so I quickly called for the Force to aid me, and slowly clenched my fist as the Mandos started to gasp for air, before eventually falling to the ground, unconscious. I wasn't about to kill them and upset Satine, especially since there were easier ways to neutralize them.

Jango seemed to shake his head in disapproval at my decision, but didn't move to finish the job himself, respecting my choice. Satine on the other hand, smirked in approval, and the three of us carefully sneaked inside the base, on guard in case Death Watch had any surprises for us, and with the Sith involved in this, that was all too likely.

I had to knock out a few more Mandos as we snuck through the corridors, Jango extending a helping –and nonlethal- hand to make my job a little easier, as Satine's stun gun would have drawn too much attention. I could sense that the main room was just to our right, with about two dozen hostiles inside, though some of them felt…wrong in the Force, as if something had infected them with Darkness, or as if they were made of it.

The Mandos outside had mentioned Sith, but logically, Sidious was on Coruscant, with Anakin attending to that entire mess, so the Sith Master should have his hands full at the moment, and zero motive to empower Death Watch agents. Something fishy was going on here, and given Vizsla's ambitious personality, I certainly hoped my suspicions were wrong.

Three guards stood in the next corridor, blocking the way, but they had that same darkness inside of them. A soft golden glow was being emitted from the inside of their helmets, not unlike that of a Sith's eyes. Even Satine seemed worried by the look of her, she'd noticed something was wrong. Jango on the other hand, cared not for the danger, his anger driving him to eliminate every soldier he saw. In his mind, Death Watch was responsible for his Clan's massacre on Galidraan, and he wanted to make them pay.

I was about to try and choke them again, but seeing as one twitched the moment pressure began to be applied, I stopped myself. There had to be a better way to get past them without alerting the others, because fighting two dozen Mandos wasn't on the agenda for today. Satine must have thought the same, but Jango had other ideas, and fired a wrist rocket at them before I could stop him.

The Mandos never saw it coming, but the explosion sounded all across the case, and in less than a moment, the alarm went off. Satine immediately pulled out her blaster, and I ignited my saber as Jango activated his jetpack and drew his blades out, ready to stain them with blood. We all ran into the next room, where the Death Watch agents opened fire, most of which either missed or was caught by my saber.

Jango took to the –limited- air and began to fire rockets at the Commandoes with jetpacks, and they quickly met a fiery end. Snipers had taken positions on the other side of the massive room, and I fired off a burst of flames, hoping to distract them as Satine blasted away at the closest enemy. We were outnumbered yes, but a quarter of their forces had already gone down, and we wouldn't back off.

Suddenly, a sniper came far too close to putting a bolt through my skull, and a stole a glance at the conveyer controls. If the machines were activated, those snipers would have a hell of time hitting us behind moving cover. Satine must have thought the same, because the immediately sprinted off the second the blaster fire subsided.

"Obi Wan, cover me!", she yelled, and I did as instructed, using Pyrokinesis to summon a wall of flames between the Commandos and her, but since our surroundings were mostly metal, the flames were quickly extinguished, having nothing to burn. Still, the distraction served its purpose, as the conveyers were activated a moment later, and a Death Watch agents who was standing on one fell over and into the crusher, letting out a pained scream that even all this blaster fire couldn't muffle.

Suddenly, five of the remaining troopers all lunged at me with vibroblades, and I tried to cut them down with a quick motion of the saber, but they were barely affected. Instead of being cut in half like normal, these five defied all logic, and attacked again only after letting out a short grunt of pain. Jumping back to put some space between them and myself, I reached out in the Force, and felt that these five were all tainted with the darkness I'd sensed earlier, another three staying away from and targeting Satine. Letting the Force flow through me, I called for a blast of Force Light as Anakin had taught me, and the five Mandos all fell to the floor before receiving a stabbing each.

Meanwhile, Jango was still flying around the room, taking potshots at the snipers to keep them distracted, but was forced to back off, less he make himself an easy target. Bolts of plasma still rang around the room, and I ducked under one before beheading the Commando who had fired it. Satine was still shooting from her position, her stun blast serving to disorient our enemies, and with a few swift moves of Jango's vibroblades and a lightsaber throw from me, the last Death Watch trooper fell, a trio of them having retreated through a back door midway through the fight.

Reinforcements were probably on their way already, so we had to move, and fast! Helping Satine down from her spot with the Force, we began running after the soldiers Jango still using his jetpack for extra speed. Unfortunately, by the time we reached a concealed hangar, the troopers were long gone, three speeders missing. It didn't take a Jedi to know that they'd fallen back to some other base.

Satine let out a long sigh and leaned against the wall, Jango slumping down after I gave him a look to confirm that we the only ones here. "It seems like you were right…", Satine sighed again, addressing Jango. "I just can't believe all this happened under my nose.", she admitted, but I offered no argument, for one cannot debate the truth.

"If Skywalker was here, he'd have hacked them apart already.", Jango commented, ignoring Satine entirely. "I say we go out there and finish the job, because I don't want him to rub this in when we get back.", he continued, this time getting a reaction out of Satine.

She locked eyes with the Bounty Hunter for a moment, then spoke in an annoyed voice. "Killing them doesn't solve anything! Even extremists can be reasoned with, we just have to find their leader and stop them. Cut the head, and the beast is much more willing to talk!", she snapped at him, but I didn't escape her ire either.

Sending me a look I knew all too well, Satine then fully turned to face me, righteous fury burning in her veins. "And you, Obi Wan! I had thought Jedi were protectors! Instead, what I've seen just now confirms the opposite!", she yelled, but I simply sighed, not wanting to enter this argument again.

"Satine…has it ever occurred to you that some people do what they do because they take pleasure in it? Because the Separatist Leader enjoys what he does, let me tell you! People like the Sith won't stop until they get what they want, and your methods just aren't helping! I'm not supporting genocide, but if they are attacking us with deadly intent, then it's only right that we protect ourselves!", I countered, but she didn't budge, stubborn as ever. Only one of the reasons I loved this woman…

Satine took a deep breath, resisting the urge to pinch the bridge of her nose in frustration. "You murdered them in there! Disarming them or knocking them out would have been enough!", she cried out in anger, and I was about to retort, but Jango beat me to it.

"Alright, that's enough out of you! Don't you get that we are at War with these people? They tried to kill us, so they paid the price. It's that simple. And if you don't like it, the stay quiet and let us handle it! You admitted to Death Watch being a threat, and that's because they are terrorists! Traitors! You might be willing to tolerate that to some unfathomable degree, but I won't!", Jango screamed, and I was petrified by this intensity he was showing –a stark contrast to his usual demeanor of a professional man-, but a single moment was all he needed to jump onto a speeder and ride off into the distance, as Satine and I were left to consider what had just happened.

After a moment of uncomfortable silence, Satine was the one to break the ice first. "He…may have a point.", she said in a low voice, betraying uncertainty.

I didn't look at her, instead moving to the nearest speeder and trying to hotwire it as Anakin had shown me when he was still a kid, all too proud of the prank he'd played on Mace to not share his knowledge with me. "You think?", I quipped back, careful to ensure that I would connect all the wires in the right spots.

Climbing onto the bike, I was about to turn it on, when Satine ducked to where the wires were and switched two around, before getting on as well. "You messed up the acceleration controls. I don't want you flying into the wall, so I fixed it. You're welcome.", she said with a cheeky grin, the first real, honest smile I'd seen from her since landing on Mandalore.

Letting out a soft chuckle, I couldn't help but tease a little. "Now, my darling Duchess, I can't possibly imagine where such a respectable woman learned such a thing as hotwiring speeders." I smiled at her, and Satine reciprocated with a soft grin for a moment before we blasted off in the direction Jango had, hoping he hadn't gotten himself into too much trouble.

Following the Force's guidance, Satine and I were quickly able to locate our missing teammate, though the trail of wrecked speeders, fires and corpses might have also made our lives a little easier. It certainly seemed like Jango had done a number on Death Watch, with this being the second outpost that was on fire today, corpses of Commandoes littering the ground as the flames on speeders that had been blown to bits began to sizzle out. Some of the bodies had blaster marks on them, others vibroblade cuts, and scorch marks -the tell-tale sign of having been burned alive- could also be found on some that must have gotten too close for Jango's comfort.

Careful to avoid as much dried blood as we could, Satine and I climbed back onto our speeder after confirming that yet again, there were no survivors. I could only hope these weren't Bo Katan's men, because then every hope of possibly recruiting her and the Night Owls would have gone up in flames…much like the rest of this place. Satine had plastered a neutral expression on her face as I was examining the bodies, but I didn't need the Force to tell she was disturbed, and for good reason too, seeing as she wasn't used to seeing so much blood everywhere like I was. She hadn't gone to War, and I hoped she never would have to once Death Watch was taken care of for good.

A significantly shorter ride later, we came across the main base of all Death Watch operations, the camp I remembered Pre Vizsla resided in when not at his home, and judging by Jango screaming bloody murder at him, he should be around here somewhere…

Speaking of the Bounty Hunter, Jango was surrounded on all sides by Mandalorians, and I spotted Bo Katan amongst the crowd, but to my surprise, she was of the few who weren't about to blow Jango's head off. Vizsla himself stood opposite Jango, both of them surrounded by the former's men. It seemed as if they were about to duel, but I sensed no related emotions from Fett, just the murderous rage that had filled him earlier and refused to give way to reason and logic.

"I admit, you put up a good fight, but it's over Fett. I'm going to kill you now, just like your buir and your clan. And when I'm done with you, I'll deal with that Jetii who accompanies the Duchess, and Mandalore will be mine!", Vizsla exclaimed, but there was something in his tone, his voice, that sounded wrong.

"We'll see about that!", Jango screamed in reply. "I don't care that you fancy yourself the Al'verde of Mandalore, but all those people are Vod'e and I'm not letting some dini'la Demagolka like you rule over them! You're just an insane fool who commits War crimes, and your time in this Galaxy is over!", he then declared, gesturing to himself at the Mandalorians around him. "I challenge you to a duel Vizsla! Let's finish this, you and I!"

The Death Watch troopers cheered for their leader, but before either combatant could take another step, I jumped down from the hillside Satine and I were on, landing right in the middle of the circle. "Hello there!", I exclaimed. "I'm not interrupting anything am I?", I asked theatrically, to keep the attention on me.

Vizsla actually had the common decency to laugh at my joke, and Bo Katan stepped forwards, being the only one brave enough to take initiative without acting on Vizsla's orders. "Jetii, duels are a sacred part of our traditions. Step outside the ring now, or die!", she threatened, both blasters aiming at me, Mandos I recognized as Night Owls from the armor mimicking her.

Trying to buy myself time to explain my suspicions, I raised my hands in the air in a mock surrender, letting out a chuckle as I did so. "Now my dear, I absolutely would, but I do believe your Alor is being possessed by a Sith of some kind.", I said, and in that moment, Vizsla, or rather the Sith Phantom who was either controlling or manipulating him screamed in rage, igniting the Darksaber in his hand.

"Jedi scum! The Dark Side has given me more power than you'll ever know, and I'm not weak enough to be controlled by a Darjet'ii!", he cried out, but if the emotions of the Mandalorians present were anything to go by, his exclamation had the opposite effect.

Jango turned to him, a tone of fabricated confidence slowly turning into controlled anger. "Vizsla, you've allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind and make you his servant! Am I really the weak one here, when you would've handed Mandalore to this Darjet'ii on a silver platter?", he asked, a murmur of affirmation quickly spreads through the crowd, though some –those who had once joined Maul according to the Force- only cared for power, and were more than willing to ignore traditions after having gotten a taste of the Dark Side.

"I am more powerful than you could ever imagine, and if the Jetii wants to join in, then I'll have no problem killing you both!", Vizsla shouted, activating his jetpack and taking to the skies.

The other Death Watch members all retreated to give us space regardless of their views on their Al'verde's decision of siding with the Sith, and Jango spared a glance at me, only to see my sapphire blade already out and ready to fight. Vizsla used his jetpack to lower himself to ground level and then dash at us, swinging his saber to get a good hit in, but I simply sidestepped him, while Jango rolled out of his way and shot at his backside, only for the bolt to be absorbed by a dark mist.

Still unsure as to whether a Sith Phantom was directly possessing the man, I shot a blast of Force Energy in his direction, which he easily blocked by calling on the Dark Side. Vizsla then used his free hand to charge up a bolt of Force Lightning and send it flying towards Jango, but he flew away long before it could hit him.

"Are you so unskilled that you need to resort to Sith tricks?", Jango taunted, having seen Ventress make plenty of mistakes in her duels against me when I managed to rile her up.

The simple but effective trick seemed to work, as Vizsla launched himself at us again, swinging his saber wildly. Once again I managed to dodge, applying some pressure on his jetpack, and managing to damage the outer casing as Jango shot at it, trying to help out. If we kept this up, he'd be out of way to fly soon enough.

"Now Vizsla, I know that Mandos like me, but perhaps you could save the tackles for later? We're in no rush.", I smugly told him as Jango rolled his eyes under the Beskar helmet.

"Really Kenobi? Flirting with the enemy again?", he teased as he activated his twin flamethrowers, sending a wave of fire at Vizsla which he promptly avoided by flying to the side.

Suppressing a laugh, I launched myself in the air with the Force and swung at our opponent's head, but he managed to block the strike and then grabbed his pistol in the empty hand, firing away to keep me on the defensive. Jango had his vibroblades –now crimson and still dripping blood- out, and launched himself at Vizsla's backside, where he jammed them both into the innards of his jetpack.

Seeing that his gear was going up in flames, Vizsla lowered himself to the ground and discarded the jetpack, dodging several blaster bolts from Jango immediately after. Knowing that Fett was still susceptible to Force attacks, I went on the offensive just as Jango's hands moved to clench his own throat, and he was back into the fight moments later.

Vizsla wasn't the best at lightsaber combat, in fact, my Padawan self could have beaten him strictly in a match of blade work. No, the dangerous thing about his style were the seemingly random kicks and spins he performed, occasionally managing to sneak a hit at my legs. It resulted in them hurting like Sith Hell, but Jango was always there to back me up if I staggered, having retrieved his vibroblades and then attempted to slice Vizsla's throat multiple times already. It didn't look like he was going to stop.

Suddenly, Vizsla jumped back and let out another bolt of Force Lightning, which I blocked with a Force Shield, one that also held up against the incoming lightsaber strike. Putting all his strength into his attempt to cut me down, I had to focus my strength in holding the shield up, but Jango saw the opportunity for what it was, and rained a rocket barrage down on both of us.

The smoke cleared away moments later, and when it did, I saw Vizsla kneeling on the floor, panting as the dark mist abandoned him, flying into the air and disappearing into the night sky. The man was visibly exhausted, and could no longer fight. I deactivated my saber and placed it back onto my belt, while Jango rushed to retrieve the Darksaber from the ground, activating it and leveling the blade right below Vizsla's neck.

He wanted to kill him, and while I personally didn't agree with revenge as a concept, one could also argue that it was tradition for the loser of these fights to perish, and for a Mandalorian to avenge their fallen, so I made no move to stop him. "Pre Vizsla. You killed my father, and my clan. For this, you will die.", Jango said to him, but the defeated man only chuckled.

"This…this is just the beginning. I am a dead man, but there will be others. The power I wielded, they'll want it. And they will come after the Jedi, the Republic. I may not have killed you, but others will follow my lead. They won't abandon my dream for a better Mandalore, for an age where we are feared by the whole Galaxy once more.", Vizsla replied, still dazed. It was almost as if the first half of that speech was the word of another, the latter his own thoughts. I'd have to look into this later, but right now, there were more pressing matters.

Jango promptly ignored Vizsla, and sliced his head off in one singular motion, before deactivating the Darksaber and turning to the crowd, which had begun to inch closer when they saw the winners of the duel. Satine was also amongst them, standing beside Bo Katan. They didn't seem to be arguing at all, which was as good a sign as any, if we're being honest.

"Obi Wan!", Satine exclaimed in relief once she saw that I was unharmed, and launched herself at me, arms wrapping around my neck in a grand display of affection.

I ran a hand through her soft hair and gently dislodged myself from her embrace, extending an arm to Bo Katan as greeting. She took it, eyeing the Darksaber, which was still in Jango's hand. "Master Kenobi. My idiot sister babbled a lot about you during the fight. It was quite distracting, especially considering the spectacle you and Fett put on.", she said as she shook my hand, before quickly letting go and turning to Jango.

"Alor.", she greeted, bowing in respect to him, the de-facto leader of the Mandalorians according to ancient tradition, since he had won the Darksaber in combat.

Jango only scoffed at this, maybe because it was half-hearted. "Spare me the dramatics. I came to put an end to the man who killed my clan, and now he is dead. I have no interest in leading the Mandalorians.", he said, and Bo Katan was honestly surprised by this, even though she didn't show it in anything but her presence in the Force.

"Maybe so, but we both know my sister can't lead to save her life, considering what a disaster she's brought onto our culture. And I don't think the Jedi Way allows them to lead planets.", she argued, clearly intending to do whatever it took to not leave Mandalore to Satine.

It wasn't that Bo Katan disliked her sister, more that she didn't think her way of pacifism was going to end in anything but slaughter, ironically enough, and given the way things had ended up last time, perhaps she had a point. Then again, Bo Katan's strong hand needed someone stronger to keep her from doing something foolish, someone unbelievably stubborn that wouldn't budge when threatened…

Jango would later swear that my face had literally lit up in that moment, in the second that I chose to chime in. "Well…given that neither Jango nor I want to rule Mandalore, and that neither of you wants the other to be the one in charge, the perhaps…", I hesitated for a moment, to let them guess my idea.

"Absolutely not!", the two sisters objected simultaneously.

I gave them an innocent shrug, as if not understanding what the problem was. "I don't see the issue. Satine is stubborn and a great diplomat, but lacks the strong hand and cultural appreciation to appease those who believe in Mandalore's roots. Bo Katan is skilled and cunning, but she is a warrior without the expertise needed to avoid political disasters, especially during a Galactic Civil War. Jango, don't you agree with me?", I asked, pretending that I had been addressing him the entire time.

Jango rolled his eyes under his helmet, but agreed with what all four of us knew to be a shit-eating grin on his face. Handing the Darksaber over to Bo Katan –"The Duchess will slice her own arms off", he had said- we took our leave as the two sisters began to try and figure out who would be in charge of what, and for a moment I worried I'd made a mistake, but the Force then sang in happiness, an optimistic tune evaporating my worries.

A few hours later, the Slave I landed in the Jedi Temple's Hangar at the brink of morning, and sensing that Anakin had just woken up, I began making my way to him, mentally preparing myself to clean up whatever mess he'd made while I was gone. But he was my brother, and I was all too happy to lend a hand when needed, so I bid Jango farewell and headed off into the innards of the Jedi Temple, in search of the Chosen One. Hopefully today wouldn't end up another ordeal like the last time we'd gone on a mission together…

And…there you have it everyone! Chapter 45 of A Messed Up Destiny! Do you guys remember when I said I had to split these up because of the word count? I hope you're seeing that I was right about that. Anyways, I'm happy to announce that you'll be getting a…wait for it…surprise Fox-centric chapter next week! Yeah, I know! It's been in my drafts for a little while and I was like "why not?", so yeah! Commander Fox is coming next chapter, the promised Clone Wars action after that!

Also, the Mando'a translations I promised:

Darjet'ii= No longer Jedi/Dark Jedi/Sith

Or'dinii= A fool

Al'verde= A commander

Dini'la= Crazy

Auruetiise- outsiders or traitors

Alor- leader, boss

Jetii(se) - Jedi(plural)

Anyhow, we have a pretty big load of stuff to cover today, so let's move on to the exposition!

Firstly, Jango Fett and Death Watch. For those who don't know, Jango wasn't born into the Mandalorians, but was raised by one of the "True Mandalorians", a religious sect that believed in upholding the ancient traditions while adapting to the new age and not being bloodthirsty conquerors like the Mandalorians of Old. Death Watch (and their affiliates at the time) paid off the governor of Galidraan, this Clan's base of Operations, to tell the Senate that they were under attack by them. And so the Jedi Order sent a strike force to eliminate them, with Jango being the sole survivor, hence his hatred for the Jedi and Dooku specifically, since he was the one leading said group of Jedi.

Additionally, Pre Vizsla is the current head of Death Watch, and therefore Jango wants to avenge his Clan and father now that he's in close proximity of Vizsla, and I know this rage he was showing might be a bit OOC since he's usually a professional, but I feel like it's justified considering the situation. This is also the reason why he wants to kill the knocked out guards at the beginning, but he does have a clear enough head to respect Obi Wan's choice of leaving them alive. It's Satine that sets him off again later, but he's gotten his payback by agreeing with Obi Wan in the end about the two sisters sharing leadership, so there's no bad blood between the two, maybe just mutual awkwardness.

Secondly, Pre Vizsla and the Sith 'Phantom'. Now…this is a plot point that comes into play a long time from now, but there is a reason that the Sith empowering and controlling Vizsla wasn't cleansed like the Sith Phantoms, as well as that speech at the end. It's something I've made my mind up about for months now, so it will show up again, but as hint, it ties into what Anakin said about the Phantoms to the Council last chapter; that they corrupt the weak minded/power-hungry people in the Galaxy and do the bidding of the Sith. I will say no more, but feel free to speculate on that if you so desire.

Thirdly, Obi Wan and Satine. I know their relationship has been addressed in a previous chapter, and what was said there hasn't changed, but I'd like to point out that there is some light flirting in this chapter, so Satine is testing the waters a bit, to see where things go. Also, I'm actually considering having them address the whole "Korkie is a Kenobi" the Obitine shippers have been going nuts about ever since he was introduced, but I doubt it'll make the final cut. Might end up in the Blooper Reel though. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Lastly, the future. After this surprise chapter all about the Coruscant Guard and the Clones, we'll be getting into the promised Clone Wars action, and as of right now, I've figured out the order of the Battles I previously mentioned. The First Battle of Felucia comes first, the Zillo Beast Incident -which is a whole other can of worms I don't want to open right now-, the Second Battle of Geonosis, then Saleucami where we'll see Rex get a wake-up call about the GAR, the Battle of Kamino where Domino Squad will be reunited with 99 and finally the ordeal with Lux Bonteri and Raxus in general. Feel free to speculate on what may happen during these events.

Next time: As Anakin Skywalker and Commander Fox spearhead a dangerous investigation into Darth Sidious' lair, it's up to the mysterious Angel to ensure Sidious fails to keep his secrets hidden, even if it means for her to physically drag the skeletons out of his closet. Meanwhile, Sidious' plans fall into disarray with the Jedi about to discover his identity, and it falls onto Chancellor Palpatine to lead them astray…

That's all for now everyone! Reviews are always welcome, whether it be to ask question or to chat, and I'll see you all next chapter, but until then, May the Force be with you!
