Today we find our hero's on their way towards Saffron City, the home of Ash's next gym battle, but something seems to have stopped them.

"Alright Drowzee use Confusion!"

"Dratini dodge it and use Dragon Rage!"

Dratini slid across the ground before spinning and firing a Dragon Rage… in the wrong direction.

"Drowzee use Pound!"

"Dratini use Wrap!"

Dratini managed to stretch itself around the Drowzee, holding it in place.

"Drowzee use Hypnosis!"

"Dratini use Dragon Rage!"

Dratini began building up It's Dragon Rage, holding it in until it was strong enough, only for it to backfire again, knocking the small dragon out.

"Ni." Dratini said saddened. He still hadn't figured out either of his new moves yet, and Ash seemed so confident in him.

"Hey, don't worry, let's take a break for a bit." Ash offered. "Let everyone have some fun."

A bit of waking and they found themselves near a lake.

"Everyone come on out!" Ash said, tossing out his remaining Pokémon.

Gloom quickly found a sunny spot to relax in while Ponyta and Pikachu began racing along the beach.

"Jiggly? Jiggly?! JIGGLY?!" Jigglypuff began panicking.

"Oh yeah… look Jigglypuff, in our last battle, your microphone, well it didn't make it." Ash apologized. "I'm sorry."

"Jiggly…. PUFF!!!!" Jigglypuff began wailing before running away.

"Jigglypuff!" Ash exclaimed running after her.

"Ni?" Dratini said, chasing after his trainer excitedly.

"Ash?" Cassie said looking up and seeing he'd ran off, and Jigglypuff and Dratini were missing as well.

"Jigglypuff! Jigglypuff!" Ash shouted. "Come on out, I promise once we get into town I'll buy you a new microphone."

There was no response herd

"This would be so much easier if Jigglypuff was here, then I could just fly up and look for her." Ash groaned.

"Ni." Dratini said, rubbing his head on Ash's leg.

"That's it! Dratini, see if you can float up and look for her.

"Ni?" Dratini said questioningly.

"Yeah, you aren't really much of an expander or flyer are you." Ash said. "It's okay, we'll find her."

"Drago!" A roar cried out.

"Oh no." Ash said, running towards the roar.

In an open field, Ash saw Jigglypuff standing against a Dragonite.

"Dratini, do you think you can talk the Dragonite down?" Ash asked.

"Ni?" Dratini said curiously.

"Please, for Jigglypuff." Ash begged.

Dratini wriggled out of Ash's arms, hopping towards the Dragonite with a smile on his face.

"Dratini." Dratini said with a smile, looking up at the Dragonite.

"Drago." Dragonite said questioningly.

"Tini." Dratini said with a nod.

"Nite, Dragonite!" Dragonite argued.

"Tini!" Dratini said, taking an offensive stance.

"No Dratini, we can't fight a Dragonite!" Ash exclaimed.

"Drago!" The Dragonite shouted, sending a Hyper Beam into the air.

"Dra! Tini!" Dratini shouted, shooting out his own Hyper Beam, only for him to slip up and roll, his Hyper Beam going off into the distance.

"Jiggly!" Jigglypuff said with an annoyed tone.

"Jigglypuff, is that why you ran away." Ash realized. "Because you lost your microphone, and didn't get new moves like Dratini?" Ash asked.

"Jiggly." Jigglypuff said angrily.

"I never meant for you to feel left out, I always was going to get you a new microphone, but you never seemed over interested in battles." Ash said.

"Jiggly! Jigglypuff!" Jigglypuff argued.

"Okay, I have no idea what you're saying, I've just been winging it so far, but if you want new moves, we can work towards that." Ash said.

"Jiggly." Jigglypuff said proudly.

"And it looks like Dratini has been getting help with his training as well." Ash said, looking over at the Dragonite showing Dratini how to not slip with Hyper Beam. "Come on guys, let's get back to the others."

As Ash and his Pokemon left the area, a different trainer walked in, just missing them.

"Dragonite there you are." A man with red hair and a cape said walking up to the dragon and seeing the paths where Hyper Beam had gone through. "Hope you didn't hurt anyone." The man said.

Back at the lake

"We're back!" Ash said rushing back out of the woods.

"You could have let me know you were going off!" Cassie exclaimed.

"It wasn't exactly planned, Jigglypuff kind of just ran off on her own." Ash said.

"We'll everyone else is pretty rested, are you ready to go?" Cassie asked.

"I think we're good here too." Ash said, pulling out his Pokeballs.

A bit later on

"Hey, you, I'd like a rematch!" Ash said.

"Oh, you're the Dratini trainer from earlier, right?" The boy asked.

"Yeah, my name is actually Ash though." Ash said.

"My names David, and sure I'll have a rematch. Drowzee come on out!" David replied.

"Alright Dratini, you're up!"

"Drowzee use Pound!"

"Dratini use Leer!"

Dratini rolled its tongue out, as Drowzee came in for a punch.

"Now use Wrap!"

As Drowzee's fist extended into Dratini, the dragon wrapped up and around Drowzee, holding the psychic type in place.

"Drowzee use Poison Gas!"

"Dratini use Hyper Beam!"

Dratini turned towards Ash with a smile, being proud of how he was doing as he let out a Hyper Beam right at Ash.

"At your opponent!" Ash cried out, as a gas surrounded Drowzee and Dratini.

Dratini turned his head, looking down at Drowzee, trying and failing at launching a Hyper Beam.

"Drowzee use Confusion!"

Dratini began to loosen its grip on Drowzee as he began to float up.

"Dratini use Dragon Rage!" Ash shouted.

Dratini created a ball of blue flames, this time it actually released and blasted Drowzee out of its concentration as Dratini was freed.

"Now finish it with Hyper Beam!"

Dratini stuck It's body close to the ground, keeping its weight low as it released a beam of light, completely engulfing the psychic type. As the beam dispersed, an entire section of the ground where Dratini's attack had gone through.

"Impressive, I'm not sure how you progressed that much in that little time, but I'd recommend you take on the Fighting Gym in Saffron City." David said.

"Thanks for the advice, we were on our way there actually." Ash said.

"Well, best of luck, you'll need it." David said.
