Sherlock has a conundrum. he craves intimacy but balks at blatant affection. now it is His and John's first anniversary, will he be able to move past his block? a pretty pointless drabble based on a few posts I kept seeing online. T for suggestive themes.

Sherlock Holmes doesn't hold with the supernatural, so why does he take a case brought to him by a client who does? As usual, he sees past the smoke and mirrors to detect deceit, murder, and the twisted motive behind both-but the one thing he doesn't expect is the threat to John's life.

"Where are we going?" Inspector Gregory Lestrade is well used to the random kidnappings by now. Mycroft sends a car to pick up Greg but doesn't show for quite a while and Greg moves things around. Mystrade drabble with a little OCD and badly concealed intentions.

In the canon, Sherlockian/Holmesian scholars point out that Sherlock himself held some position of trust within the British government. Many point to the fact that he was called in when important documents went missing. This was, to them, an indicator that he was one of the "Queen's Own Messengers". This is my take on how that came about to be awarded to him.
