Sherlock Holmes encounters a case that will require all of his wit and intelligence to solve.

It was the woods that lay behind Molly's childhood home. It would be where nostalgia from one part of her life met another. Sherlock had not seen her for almost two years now, and he was sure that he had hurt her greatly the last time they had seen each other.

When Sherlock feels that the only way out is the one way that will hurt him the most, will John be able to save him in time? And can things ever return to normal between them? You're desperate for money, and a strange advert in a London newspaper catches your eye.

Sherlock finds out Hamish has been admitted to hospital and goes to see him, but it's been 3 years and John is furious and lays all the blame for how Hamish is on Sherlock. Hamish hasn't been eating properly since his dad left, he just wanted to be with him again. Sherlock thinks it will be just like the old days back at 221B but it's not and he can't understand why.

(Or "How Sherlock Decided to Call Himself a High-Functioning Sociopath") At first Sherlock wasn't sure why he felt so different, but when classified as "gifted" he found that it was a simpler matter to explain a great deal of his troubles. He wasn't altogether pleased by the answers he received. Kidlock! Giftedlock! Possibly mentions of E2/Asperger's!lock.
