It's not the beauty of the place that attracts him, nor the wildness, nor the solitude. It's the apathy. It's the fact that this place just doesn't care, and he can appreciate that. Three years since Sherlock's death. Three years without the person who made John feel so alive. Now three years are up, and someone threatens to know the exact whereabouts of one Mr. Sherlock Holmes. This someone, who demands to be known as "Mr. Moran", sends John on a desperate chase to find his colleague. Deductions and doubt all lead John to his best friend. Eventually- S/J

Sherlock is seriously injured during a case. John is there to support him as he struggles to cope with the changes this injury causes to his life. Despite set-backs, this newfound level of intimacy gradually draws them even closer together, bringing their already close relationship to the next level.

Post-Reichenbach, John's life is normal. Boring. Until a certain detective wanders back into his life again. Reunions all around.

Loosely based off ACD's "The Dying Detective." Sherlock relives a case that should have killed him, but instead resulted in John being hospitalized for a deadly disease. Sherlock endeavors to catch the murderer, while attempting to envision a future without John Watson. No Slash.

The kidnapper looks completely startled, staring up at John with wild eyes. John understands; he's a small man, himself, and while some would consider that to be a hindrance in a fight, John thinks of it as a tactical advantage.

It had been a busy few weeks for Sherlock, one of the most complex cases he had encountered yet, and he was glad that it was all over. However, as he was leaving the hospital he could not help feeling a tinge of sadness for he thought he would not have another case as mentally stimulating as this one for a long time. He was wrong.
