A/N
Writing on my phone at Christmas, lovely way to avoid socializing after the first hour or so. Writing a thousand words or so. After that I'm going on vacation for a good while to focus on some college stuff, see you all in late January, maybe February, when I post this with the rest of said words.
Btw, I know I have problems with pacing. Just bear it while I figure out how to fix that. I just like to get things moving at times, and forget I have to pad the connecting portion more.
Enjoy it if you want.
"Utazane-san, why are you sitting alone dripping wet in my classroom?" Goko asks in a gruff voice, being the first person back poking a groggy Ken with a crutch. Pulling his head off of the desk with a slight groan, Ken sits up in his chair.
"Fell asleep listening to rules I'll never follow. Nara woke me up. Went back to sleep. Had a life threatening experience where I bet on the other's reaction. Woke up soaking wet. Went back to sleep," Ken recounts, propping his head up with a chin on his hand and his elbow on the desk.
"Do tell me, why are you sleeping in my class?" Goko asks, raising an eyebrow with a dangerous look, seemingly ignoring the middle of the listed events.
"Sensei, I already know all of the math you're going to teach. I've looked into military structure in preparation for being admitted, and know that for a few months post-graduation the only thing I'll be in danger of is getting splinters repainting a fence and after that I'll be sent to the frontlines. You're teaching me rules I'll never actually follow. What do you expect me to do?" Ken replies, counting off each point on his fingers. "I can't exercise, so I sleep."
"You aren't some genius Utazane-san. Pay attention in my class, or you'll fail out," Goko orders, frowning at Ken through his bandages.
"Ahem, 'I don't care how good you do on everything else.' Sound familiar? I'm holding you to that Sensei, at least I'm more active in class than Nara," Ken replies, ignoring the tick that showed up on his Sensei's twitching eyebrow.
"These rules are critical to the success of any shinobi. I highly recommend everyone follow them. Especially you," Goko warns gruffly, turning away and walking down the terraces of the classroom and back to the teacher's desk.
'He's really intense about this whole thing, all the time…' Ken thinks with a sweatdrop as Goko makes his way back to the front of the classroom. 'I feel like he and Ibiki would be great friends…'
He wasn't sure what he expected though, the man's introduction to his class involved throwing a Kunai into the desk of every single student in his class and talking about how they would bleed to improve.
Ken just didn't expect that to be his normal state outside of class too. Observe yielded no helpful information either, it was a field of '?' for his stats and description besides part of his name and title.
Name: Goko ?
Title: Chunin Sensei
Level: ? (6.7%)
Stats: ?
Goko ? is a Chunin Sensei for the Academy and a member of Konoha's ?. He thinks Ken has a perfect attitude for ? and none of the talent or skills.
The whole thing was more concerning than informative. It tells him the name of complete strangers, why can't he see his sensei's full name? Level and stats can easily be explained by a sheer level gap, seeing stats of a Chunin is a pipe dream right now.
'Nope. Not touching that right now, I literally just got out of that bullshit with the tiger, I'm not going to try and dig at Goko's concerning description,' Ken thinks to himself, lightly shaking out some of the water soaking him. Some of it easily splattered off onto the ground, but most of it stubbornly clung to his clothes and skin.
Deciding to use some of the remaining time to work towards something of use instead of sitting completely idle, Ken closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as he focuses inwards. Poking and prodding at his chakra currently coiling through his body. It responds sluggishly at best, languidly activating Chakra Enhancement after a delay. Ken furrows his brows and tries to speed up it's movement through his limbs to no avail. He notices it reinforces his torso almost immediately, then slowly moves down his arms and legs.
No longer molding the Chakra, Ken opens his eyes and furrows his brows, trying to think what he can do to improve that activation time. He didn't want to emergency activate and try to block, only to have his arm snapped as the Chakra wasn't there in time after all.
"I'm surprised you're even able to access your Chakra at all on command," Goko idly comments, startling Ken out of his thoughts as he pulls something out of his desk. Placing a box on his desk, Goko folds his hands together and clasps them.
"...My parents were ninja, why wouldn't I be able to? It's not like I'm from a civilian family whose experience with chakra is 'it is what ninja uses'," Ken asks, covering for himself slightly. He had no clue if he was ever actually taught by his parents, but it wasn't like there was anyone to gainsay him considering he was an orphan.
"Because you're weak. It takes a certain amount of strength of body and mind to be able to access your chakra consistently. I thought you were only able to access it in a fight so far, not on demand," Goko continues, stacking some papers and putting them on the corner of his desk.
"...Do you really have to constantly comment on that?" Ken asks with a small sweatdrop. "Like, I know I'm weak. You know I'm weak. Everyone knows I'm weak, and you constantly bringing it up every time you talk to me doesn't help," Ken complains.
"Utazane-san, I do this to every student I have. Everyone is weak, from you to Uchiha-san. That's why you are Academy students and not Genin. You lack potential as well, so I give you more criticism than most. It's a waste of resources to properly train someone only for them to become life-long Genin," Goko calmly explains.
"Then why are you even getting on my back about paying attention in class, if I'm a waste of resources?" Ken inquires, drumming his fingers slowly. Goko's logic was… weird at best in his opinion. Not wanting to teach 'dead end' students was fair enough, but he was too interactive with students he dismissed as worthless already.
"Because it's my duty to try my best to teach you, no matter my opinion on your future prospects. You were admitted, thus teaching you is my responsibility," Goko replies dryly, his tone about Ken's admittance clearly dismissive.
"I'm going to go back to practicing with my Chakra until class starts again now."
"Pay attention in my class, Utazane-san," Goko commands on deaf ears.
LINE BREAK
Ken rolls his shoulders a bit as he walks out of the Academy and into the small woods surrounding the building, feeling both like it was a waste of a day and way too much happened. Looking around to make sure he's alone, he sits down with his back against a tree and looks up at the canopy.
"Fuck, I'm going to enjoy the lecture side of the Academy as much as I did school last time, won't I? Waste of my goddamn time. I can derive integrals, already know the military structure, the basic tenets of multiple shinobi disciplines along with more advanced concepts, and know the theory of multiple advanced and forbidden techniques," Ken bitches to the leaves, pulling a handful off of the ground.
"Now… it was what, Leaf sticking, Tree climbing, then Water Walking? Was leaf spinning a thing, or was that just fanon?" Ken muses, turning one of the leafs between his index and thumb. "Whatever, I'll just try it once I can stick this leaf to my head."
Placing the leaf against his forehead, Ken screws his eyes shut and coerces his chakra towards his forehead. Focusing on the leaf, Ken tries to attach it to his head and keep it still. A slight breeze blows through fighting with him for control over the leaf. It stays attached for a few precious moments before Ken finally loses his focus and grip for a moment and the wind takes away the leaf.
"This is going to annoy me, isn't it?" Ken asks the air as he takes another leaf out of his hand and carefully places it on his forehead. His Chakra responds as sluggishly as before, and the leaf was torn from his grip on it just as quickly.
Continuing until his Chakra bar emptied, Ken stops and frowns. His notifications were empty and he hadn't gained any skills. Chakra Control also only gained a pittance of XP as well. What was he doing wrong? Flipping over into a standard push-up form, he slowly starts to exercise his body as his mind mulls over the leaf exercise.
'I know I'm supposed to focus my Chakra into my forehead. Am I not focusing enough? Does it need to be more condensed? Am I overloading the amount, like getting repelled in Tree Climbing?' Ken wonders, easily completing the first few push-ups but quickly starting to struggle more and more. Flipping onto his back, he slowly gets to work on a set of sit-ups.
'And my Chakra recovery rate… God, it's so fucking bad. It takes multiple minutes just to get back a single point. I could always go eat Ichiraku, but I don't have an income yet,' Ken thinks, finishing his sit-ups. Standing up, he stretches out a bit before picking up into a run and activating Sprint.
Keeping up the skill for a few minutes and keeping an eye on his Chakra bar until he gets back a handful of points, Ken scoops a new leaf off of the ground and stops to take a breath.
"Alright, grab a small amount and focus it more, let's try that," Ken mumbles to himself, taking a deep breath to center himself. Pressing the leaf to his forehead, he carefully prods a much smaller amount of Chakra into his forehead, focusing on condensing it as much as possible. Noticing some of the Chakra roiling and fraying from the condensed ball, Ken clamps down much harder on it.
Like trying to grab water, the Chakra falls right out of the mental grip he had on it. Changing strategies, Ken pulls back together the ball carefully. This time, he doesn't try to use it like putty and grab the whole thing, instead gently prodding the tendrils trying to spread out back into place.
Carefully pushing it through the tenketsu, Ken pulls the leaf as tightly against his skin with the released Chakra as he can before lightly tugging on the leaf. It remained firmly planted against his forehead until the Chakra started giving out and a sharp tug finally freed it.
Ping!
Through an action, you have unlocked a new skill!
Leaf Sticking - Level 1 (0.0%)
Reduces excess Chakra usage by 0.5%, adds a portion of XP gained in this skill to "Chakra Control".
"Baby steps Ken, baby steps. Now, that Inuzuka sparring event is at 17:00, what time is it now…" Ken says in a self-satisfied manner, pulling up the system's clock. "15:56? I have enough time to go get some food and regen some Chakra."
Ken silently closes the window, tossing the leaf back onto the ground as he walks out of the surrounding forest and back to the Academy, then following the road from there. He didn't want to spend money, and also wanted half an hour to let his body recover. So, some hodge podge of whatever the hell he has at the apartment will have to do.
Not needing the waypoint system to get home, Ken spends most of the run back home spamming Observe on everyone he passes by. No reason to ignore leveling the skill after all, not that he gets one so fast.
Unlocking his door, Ken throws together a quick meal of cereal and an apple on the side before scarfing it down and letting Exhaustion take hold the moment he reaches his bed. That meal didn't even count towards any cooking skill so he doubted it was giving him any system benefits, but eating has to at least boost natural Chakra regen.
"I wonder if their sparring area will have dirt to throw in their eyes?" Ken muses to himself, hoping to god that he'll have something dirty to pull.
LINE BREAK
Standing in front of the Inuzuka Compound, Ken smirks and pats a pair of pouches tied to his person. It took enough of a detour to grab them that he was almost late, but he was still about 2 minutes early.
"Why hope you can pull something dirty when instead you can make sure you do?" Ken asks himself as he cracks his neck and takes in a few breaths. Stepping up to the gate on the compound wall, Ken knocks a few times then steps back to wait. It took a few moments before one of the doors was opened, revealing an unmistakably young Tsume.
Name: Inuzuka Tsume
Title: Inuzuka Clan Heiress
Level: ? (58.3%)
Stats: ?
Tsume is the heiress of the Inuzuka Clan. She is neutral to Ken, but dislikes the cat smell on him.
'Cat smell?' Ken asks himself.
"Oi, you one of Kubi and Kuchi's classmates?" she asks in a gruff voice, looking Ken up and down and sniffing once or twice followed by a nose wrinkle. Not waiting for a reply, she continues, "Cut it real close kid, I don't tolerate tardiness."
Ken takes a step inside the compound and Tsume promptly closes the door behind him. Unsurprisingly, there was a large amount of open space in the compound grounds. There was a decent amount of smaller buildings dotting the compound, with a large centralized building that had a decent amount of foot traffic in and out.
"So, how many others showed up?" Ken asks conversationally, looking around at the various dogs passing him by and giving him a wary look. It was strange, but not concerning. Honestly, Ken had figured there may have been a slightly more severe reaction than just nervous skitting around him. Ironic since any of the dogs could have ripped him to pieces.
"Oh, a good three others did. Well, effectively two, I don't have hope for that Nara. His family probably forced him to come anyway," she replies, taking the lead towards one of the outlying buildings. "Just a reminder, the Inuzuka Clan will pay for medical and supplies after the spars are over, along with payment equivalent to a D-Rank mission," Tsume states in an official tone.
"I don't know how much that is, but sounds great to me," Ken replies in a satisfied tone of voice. He hadn't even thought of medical aid, but it was probably better to have on hand. For all he knew there was horrific bleeding status effects.
"Just have one of your parents stop by so we can give the money to them, Kid. Don't want you spending it all on dango and pocky after all," Tsume says in a joking tone as they reach the door.
'Damn, it's a good thing I'm a fairly well adjusted adult and not a child still dealing with their parent's deaths," Ken thinks to himself with a sweatdrop.
"Ah, Tsume-san, I'm orphaned. I can definitely promise I won't spend it on sweets and candy though," Ken replies in a neutral tone, double checking that his pouches are closed tightly and not loose at all.
Tsume freezes for a moment when reaching out for the door. "Shit… I always tell Ashi that I'm terrible with kids, but nooo. 'You go greet their classmates, it'll be fine Tsume-chan'," she curses under her breath, turning around and looking at Ken before stopping again. Instead of the upset kid keeping it together she expected, she only saw a collected Ken just waiting for her.
"What? Aren't we going in for the spars?" Ken asks, feigning deafness. Tsume takes a moment to nod before breathing a sigh of relief as she opens the door and motions Ken inside. Stepping into the building, it reveals a packed dirt arena with a large sparring circle occupying most of the internal real estate. Standing around it were a handful of Ken's classmates, specifically Kubi, Kuchi, Shikahiro, Inemasa, and Tora.
Ken was glad to see a solid four out of the five other people. Well, three and a half? Ken admits he likes seeing Shikahiro about 99% of the time, but when it was serious sparring time was a part of the remaining 1%.
Ignoring Tora, Ken gives a small handwave to the other kids and a curt greeting.
"Yo. So, what's the plan for this?" Ken asks, looking around at the interior of the building. There was a nearby medical station, and a faint metallic smell he couldn't place.
"Ah, hello Utazane-san! I didn't know you'd be here too," Inemasa says in a slightly nervous tone of voice.
"Well, I was told it would be some good serious sparring. Why wouldn't I show up?" Ken replies in a confused tone. He honestly couldn't see a single reason why he wouldn't attend.
"Because you're one of the weakest fighters in the class, and there were plenty of warnings about bodily harm?" Inemasa asks, furrowing his brow. Holding up a single finger and raising an eyebrow, Ken quickly replies.
"I'm one of the weakest fighters for now. Besides, I'm pretty sure it's a good thing I'm here for their training. Isn't this entire thing about learning how to not gouge and rip your classmates?" Ken says, addressing the last part to the twins.
"Yep. Something about it not being acceptable to give your classmates baby scratches," Kubi says with a smirk before being smacked across the head by Kuchi.
"There we go, so it's better I'm here since I'm more likely to be someone that gets hurt."
"That makes no sense, that just means you shouldn't fight until they learn how to not gut you," Inemasa claims heatedly, pointing at Ken. Ken sighs and counts to 10 mentally, doing his best to not get heated over this.
"Look, Inemasa, you've seen me fight before. Twice now. If you think I'm going to fight fair and just charge at them, then maybe think for a bit more on it," Ken says in an exasperated voice, doing all he can to not so much as twitch towards the pair of pouches on his belt. Tells are a bad habit to get considering his preferred line of work after all.
"Look, you aren't going to convince him. And if you manage to convince an adult they are just going to do it without supervision," Shikahiro grumbles out from his position leaning against the wall.
"That's the Nara brain at work!" Kubi exclaims, energetically clapping Shikahiro's shoulder and bringing him into a one armed hug. The lazy kid only put up minor resistance to the much physically stronger Inuzuka before accepting his fate.
"Hey, Utazane, when did you get a cat?" Kuchi asks, moving towards her brother and cracking her neck.
"Cat? Don't have one. He is right though, I'd absolutely drag them out to the woods and fight them after classes. Actually, can we do that anyway you two? That sounds like a great idea," Ken comments as Kuchi starts to pry her brother off of Shikahiro. They pause momentarily to give an affirmation before continuing their small scuffle.
"There will be no unsupervised fighting in the woods until you are genin."
The twins immediately halted and turned to the door. Tsume was holding some other Inuzuka by the ear and dragging him into the sparring building. Ken immediately Observed the unfortunate Inuzuka.
Name: Inuzuka Kinniku
Title: Taijutsu Trainer
Level: ? (94.6%)
Stats: ?
Kinniku is in charge of overseeing taijutsu training for the Inuzuka clan. Often late to events and meetings, much to the ire of many in his clan.
"Ow, Tsume-chan, I told you I was on my way!" He says, trying to escape from Tsume's grip on his ear.
"You were asleep in your zen garden when I found you," Tsume says, finally releasing Kinniku with a huff. "We have guests from outside the clan, you know you shouldn't keep them waiting."
"Ah, right! Finally time to train these brats? I heard their mother is tired of constantly repairing their jackets," He says with a chuckle, rubbing the side of his head.
"We aren't that bad!" The twins replied in unison, giving Kinniku a glare.
Ken leans a bit closer and notices a ton of stitching on their jackets, primarily on the long sleeves. Even a handful of new rips from their scuffle a moment ago, but nothing that tore through the jacket entirely.
"You are. That's why we had you invite your classmates for sparring, to teach you how to not use those claws on everything that moves." Kinniku scolds, pointing at their hands and holding up his own. "Little lesson on Inuzuka for our helpers, we don't have claws naturally, but apply a bit of chakra to our hands and…" Kinniku's nails suddenly grew, turning into claws in a few moments.
"Then why not teach chakra control instead of this?" Tora asks, crossing his arms and looking over at the twins.
"Yeah, let's teach these knuckleheads how to fight while keeping chakra away from their hands," Kinniku replies sarcastically. "No, it's much better to just train them to not claw the hell out of something if they don't mean to. Much less accidents that way."
"Now, let's see what we are working with here…" Kinniku says, walking over and inspecting everyone. Going so far as to poke and prod at each of them, mumbling to himself. Reaching Ken, he does much the same before pausing at the prodding.
"Weights off kid, you aren't wearing them for this," he commands, pointing at Ken's wrists and ankles. Blinking after a moment, Ken rolls his sleeves and pants up a little and takes them off and puts them into his backpack.
"Alright! So we have an opponent that will beat their asses, one that'll fight about evenly, and two that they'll have to hold back on," Kinniku points at Tora, Inemasa, Ken, and Shikahiro respectively.
"Uh, Uncle? I don't feel comfortable holding back on Ken. He fights dirty," Kubi says, side eyeing Ken. Ken smirks in response, even as Tora glares at him. Kuchi nods in agreement, pantomiming throwing dust into Tora's eyes which earns her the glare from Tora.
"I don't care what you're comfortable with, brats. So, ground rules! No using weapons on your opponent. No leaving the circle. If you start bleeding too much I'm stopping the match. If I say stop, you stop. Understood?" Kinniku says in a serious tone, looking everyone in the eyes and getting agreements from everyone.
"Great! First bout, Kuchi versus Uchiha-san," Kinniku says, shooing everyone out of the ring.
LINE BREAK
A slightly bored Ken yawns as Inemasa goes down again to Kuchi, only lightly bleeding from a few scratches along his forearms but otherwise looking battered.
"Match! Let's get those bandaged Inemasa," Kinniku orders, starting to walk towards the medical cart, followed closely by a wincing Inemasa.
'Haven't been able to fight yet, waste of my time…' Ken grumbles to himself, sitting with his back against the wall. So far it's been a rotation between Tora and Inemasa against one of the twins, before switching out which twin. Neither Ken nor Shikahiro have gotten a chance to fight yet, to the chagrin of one and the delight of the other.
"Next up, Ken-san versus Kubi. Watch them claws, your sister is doing better than you are," Kinniku says, pointing accusingly at the male twin. Kubi huffs, looking at Ken carefully to make sure he doesn't pull something dirty.
"Does my backpack count as a weapon?" Ken asks innocently as he gets up, hefting it with one arm and looking at Kinniku.
"It does when you go around throwing it at people!" Kubi accuses, pointing at the offending artifact.
"I think Tahamo-san would agree with him," Shikahiro comments from next to Ken, causing Ken to turn and look at him.
"Hey, whose side are you on here?" Ken asks with an affronted look, clutching his heart dramatically.
"Well, the group consensus is that it is apparently. No backpack for you, Ken-san," Kinniku says in an amused tone, motioning Ken to put it down. Shrugging, he drops it onto the ground and walks into the circle.
Kubi looks much more comfortable now that Ken's backpack was discarded on the ground and not within arms reach.
"Now, go ahead and start you two. Remember the rules," Kinniku says, taking a few steps back and crossing his arms.
Both of them settle into their stances and begin to advance towards each other. Out of the corner of his eye, Ken sees Kinniku raising an eyebrow. Rather than dwell on it, he banishes the thought from his head and focuses on the fight. Kubi may feel safe that Ken doesn't have his backpack, but that wasn't where the surprise was.
The two of them circle each other, waiting to see if one would mess up on their footing. Kubi gets impatient first and makes the first move, dashing in towards Ken. Ken sets his feet and waits for Kubi to get close before taking a step forward with a jab. Blocking it and sliding inside Ken's guard, Kubi throws a body shot to Ken's side.
Clenching his teeth, Ken forces himself to not lean or double over from the blow, keeping his right arm in position to block for his chin until his left arm can slide in position. Noticing Ken's guard not dropping to protect his stomach, Kubi slams another body shot in before Ken manages to backpedal to safety.
Glancing at his HP, Ken wasn't happy with what he saw. He really needs to land a hit or two before enacting his plan, and he was dropping HP fast.
HP: 164/200
Stepping back into range, Ken wards off Kubi next blow and twitches his left arm forward in a feint. Kubi immediately shifts his guard towards the threatened punch and takes a step back, only for it to never arrive as Ken takes in a few deep breaths as he recovers from the body work that Kubi put into him.
Snarling, Kubi charges back in towards Ken with a series of jabs towards his face. Blocking them, Ken keeps his eyes open and peers through his block waiting for Kubi to do something other than jab. After a few more jabs hammering against Ken's guard, Kubi finally uses his right arm. Swinging a haymaker and stepping in with a frustrated shout. Ken calls him on it, throwing a quick counterpunch towards Kubi's now weakly guarded face.
Kubi manages to get off a partial block, warding it off from his chin, but it still connects to his face and throws off his haymaker. As Kubi staggers back slightly, Ken steps forward and delivers some body punches to Kubi's unguarded midsection. Peeking at Kubi's healthbar, Ken decides even though it was barely drained it was go time.
Name: Inuzuka Kubi
HP: 397/450
Taking out his kunai, Ken quickly slashes open the bottom of one of the bags then puts it away before Kinniku gets any ideas about stopping the fight due to the drawn weapon. Ripping the bag free of its tie, Ken swings the bag towards Kubi's face and sprays red powder all over him. He swings the bag another time for good measure even as Kubi yells in shock, giving him a second dose before moving in.
Kubi begins to swing wildly with one arm, trying to fend off any further powdery assaults while desperately rubbing at his face to try and remove the powder. Ken moves in anyway, taking Kubi down with a low tackle. The Inuzuka does a desperate claw swipe at Ken, forcing him to block with his arm even as the claws tear his forearm to ribbons.
Gained status: Bleeding!
Ignoring the sudden burning pain running across his arm, Ken rains down punches onto Kubi, splattering the blood from his arm onto both of them. He needed to end this fast, his HP was rapidly draining.
Ken barely notices the sharp tug at his midsection before he's forcibly yanked into the air and away from Kubi. Blinking a few times, Ken notices that Kinniku pulled him off and was currently pressing a towel against his arm.
"Fucking hell kid, are you insane? The hell did you throw at him?" Kinniku demands, keeping pressure on Ken's arm.
"Just chili powder from the market. Just run water over his face for a few minutes and he'll be fine," Ken explains, wincing at the hard press against his arm before a bandage was applied and the tell-tale sting of alcohol on an open wound.
"Kuchi, you heard him, grab the water bowl and some water bottles and wash his face." Kinniku says loudly, motioning her off of Kubi and towards the water before turning back to Ken.
"What made you think this was a good idea?" Kinniku asks, keeping pressure on Ken's arm still.
"Well if it was against the rules I would have just taken off the pouches, but it wasn't so…" Ken replies, keeping an eye on his healthbar.
"Well you're technically right about that, but I don't know if the clan will want you back for more spars. I feel sorry for anyone that's your superior officer in the future."
"To be honest, I do too," Ken admits, knowing he'll be the cause of many headache inducing reports.
"So, why do you fight orthodox?" Kinniku eventually asks after quickly swapping the towel out in exchange for actual bandages once the bleeding stopped.
"Huh?"
"Your left arm feels stronger than your right. Aren't you left-handed?" Kinniku says, looking into Ken's eyes. Ken was about to reply, but froze slightly.
"You know, when you were little you were left-handed. You pulled a dowel rod holding up the window and broke your left hand when you were one. After that you were right-handed. A shame, I was so happy that my boy was left-handed like me!" a female voice rings in Ken's head, causing his mouth to dry up.
"Ah, uh. I always saw others standing like this?" Ken says weakly, trying to banish the memories of his old life from his head.
"Well make sure to tell your Taijutsu instructor that. Jeez, you're getting pale. Here, eat this Blood Pill and head on home. Change the bandages before they bleed through again, get some rest, and you should be fine," Kinniku says, patting Ken on the shoulder and handing him a pill. Moving over to check on Kubi who was now sitting up and rinsing his own eyes clear.
Still slightly out of it from the memory, Ken walks over and slings his backpack over his shoulder with his good arm before walking off to head home, ignoring Tora's glare like normal.
A/N
Jesus, this college semester has fucking hands. In any case, I probably won't have the time to really reply to reviews like I normally do. If you really wanna ask a question or something like that, just hit up the message feature. I'll prolly read through the backlog of reviews later anyways.
Also, if my Bengals win the SB I'm going to fucking freak. Who Dey bitches, Joe Brrr got this.
I've been learning more about boxing just to write these scenes slightly better. Ain't that lovely?
Peace,
