The anomalies have stopped. Everyone goes back to their own business as government officials clean the streets of debris and fallen entities. Everything calms down. Several weeks pass by in normalcy. It is within this time frame that Star and her friends utilize that time to come up with some means of entertaining and solidifying unity in the new merged realm.

With agreement from her mother, as well as some organizing prowess of Lady Avarius, in conjunction with Echo Creek High School (money talks) a dance is organized. The Whateververse Dance organized by Star Butterfly and Lady Avarius in the name of celebrating all things "us", in the new post-magic world, was turning out to be quite the popular event.

Mewnans, monsters, earth people, outside universes, gathered within the single massive Echo Creek High Gymnasium for a single night of intermingling and dancing. Star is nervous though, as the war that had previously been fought over magic between Mewnans and monsters is still fresh in everyone's mind. Star and Marco are standing there idly, with Star paying particular attention towards the people that walk in the door. The gymnasium becomes filled with the greatest hodgepodge of people she never expected to be fancy. Star notices a very small being, isolated from the others in the corner of the room. Ludo stands there, nervously.

Ludo: This is stupid. What in the world am I doing here?

Star: Hey Ludo. You come to dance? Look at you, you're such a fancy-pants little gentleman.

Ludo: I feel ridiculous wearing this thing.

Ludo has a dark green suit on, and his mother insists that his clothes match, despite Ludo wanting to wear the one really tacky and clashing suit at the store that would make him look very much like a clown. She really did save him from further embarrassment though.

Star: You look nice though, and to be honest, you look super cute in a suit and bow tie.

Ludo blushes even more.

Star: Hey, who's that over there?

Ludo: Over where?

Star: That girl, over there.

Ludo notices, separating with his own two eyes, a small Septarian girl with brown hair wearing a lavender dress, her grey tail wrapping around her in a fit of nervousness that rivals Ludo's own.

Ludo: Is... is that who I think it is?

Star: Maybe, I don't know. Why don't you go talk to her.

Ludo looks at Star frustratedly, while she just cheekily bites her lips. All these people are dancing and Ludo and Jade are just nervously frozen in awkward stasis.

Ludo: You really are the worst, you know that?

Star just laughs.

Jade looks over and happens to notice Ludo blaring into her like a pair of lasers. She turns around quickly in a fit of anxiety, covering her face.

Star: Ooh, she likes you. Go talk to her!

Ludo: I, I, I can't.

Star rolls her eyes. Star uses her finger to push Ludo, he drags his heels across the slippery floor, towards Jade.

Ludo and Jade look at each other. Jade flicks her brown curl back, revealing to Ludo her bright green eyes. Ludo chokes, struggling for words.

Ludo: Nice... dress?

Jade: Thanks... nice suit.

Ludo: So uh... what brings you here... to this dance?

Jade: I was invited. Had nothing better to do, so I guess I just decided to show up.

Ludo: I've never been to a dance before.

Jade: Me neither.

Ludo: I uh... I um...want to go get punch or something?

Jade: Uh, yeah. Maybe it will make me feel less nervous.

Ludo looks down at Jade's feet, noticing she's not wearing any dress shoes.

Ludo: I think you forgot your shoes.

Jade: Huh? No. I just didn't get any. All I have are my assassin boots so I didn't wear anything. It's more comfortable and free this way anyway.

Ludo and Jade don't really dance most of the night. They spend a lot of the night just watching others, and somewhat making fun of them, how some of them dance pretty badly, mostly at the awkwardness of the teenagers. Star and Marco's friends Ferguson and Alfonso try to impress a couple of girls before having punch thrown in their faces. Jade and Ludo take the only refuge they can from not having to dance, but Star would soon change that. Hours fade away as Jade and Ludo just hang out... trying to talk to each other in the loud auditorium. Star sneaks her way up to the DJ.

Star: Hey, disc monkey.

DJ: Huh? What's up, Princess, Star? This place is swinging, huh?

Star: Yeah, uh. Hey DJ, could you end the night with this one? It's a slow dance song. It's my favorite song ever. Pretty pretty please?

Star hands the DJ a little kitty thumb drive.

Star: Track 3, it's super cute.

DJ: You got it, Star!

The loud man with the window shades proceeds to then pop in the track, a slow song starts playing. A bunch of people gather in the middle of the floor, hand in hand, head in shoulder.

Ludo: What are they doing?

Jade: I don't know. They're just kind of rocking and gyrating.

Ludo: Hey Jade... this looks easy.

Jade: Yeah... we could do that.

Ludo: So uh, want to um... dance?

Jade: Yeah, I guess. We are the only ones not doing so. It's really awkward.

So with that, Ludo places his nervous, sweat-soaked hands on Jade's hips. He could touch her silky dress, and the other, he placed in her hand.

Jade: Your hand is so sweaty.

Ludo: I know.

The two proceed to gyrate slowly in a random direction. She leans her head into him, and he into hers, sinking into the song by a Japanese woman. Eyes on Me, by Faye Wong, plays, and Ludo and Jade are just lost in the sensation. Ludo doesn't know it, but he is so happy to be there, in that moment with Jade, just the two of them gyrating awkwardly, two small creatures attempting to fathom a dance.

Jade, though she won't admit it, feels the same. Across the hall, Lady Avarius, arm and arm with Lord Brudo, just smiles at them, pointing over there to get Brudo's attention. Lady Avarius is so happy to just see her tiny son dancing with someone. She lays her head on Brudo's shoulder, and the two as well, they just close their eyes, becoming lost in the immersion. This is their special moment. All of the couples become lost in the song. Even Janna manages to sucker Tom into a slow dance, just to force him into an awkward situation.

"Darling so share with me, your love if you have enough, your tears if you're holding back, a pain if that's what it is"...

None of them want to leave that moment. None of them ever want the song to end, to have to resume their lives, but be in each others' perpetual embrace. Of course though, it is inevitable. The dance does end though, and the parties disperse. Ludo and Jade wave to each other goodbye, and proceed home to live their own lives. Jade goes back to managing Septarsis along with help from Iggy and her mother, and Ludo goes back to living at the Castle with his parents, and continuing to learn how to be a leader from his mother, as well as a stern but fair motivator by his father.

As Ludo and Jade move on with their lives, they find themselves becoming busier and busier. With Star and Marco's help though, they manage to get a break from their lives when they all have the opportunity to visit the Echo Creek fair in the middle of summer. Star, Marco and Ludo all ride in the backseat of Angie and Rafael's car. Star is in a sugar rush, Marco stares out the window, and Ludo is stuck embarrassingly strapped into a baby seat. Star, Marco, Janna, Tom, Jackie, Chloe, Jade and Ludo, as well as their families, all purchase this massive package deal so they can go on the rides.

Jade and Ludo are very excited, and Dennis is ecstatic. None of them have ever gone on rides or have been to an amusement park before. As they use their golden passes to infringe upon the cursed line which peasants were to stand in and wait for hours to use, Dennis finds himself overridden with joy to get on a roller coaster for the first time in his life. As Jade and Ludo get in line however, Ludo is disappointed when he stands at the height measurement stand, realizing he's just too small to ride.

Ride Conductor: Sorry little fella, you're too short for this ride.

Ludo: Sigh, it's okay. I'm used to it by now.

Ride Conductor: Well, young lady, you're just barely tall enough to get on.

Jade: Yes!

Jade looks at Ludo, who's bummed out he can't go on the ride.

Jade: It's okay Ludo. We can go on the next ride together.

As Jade approaches the front, she is teeming with ecstasy. That ecstasy doesn't last long, about halfway through the ride. Minutes later, Jade is halfway into a trash can.

Jade: BLEURGH! Ugh.

Ludo: You don't look so good.

Jade: Note to self, never eat 2 Goblin Dogs, and then get on something called "The Spine Obliterator" again.

Ludo: Well, do you still want to go on rides with me.

Jade: I'm tapping out on roller coasters. I don't think my tummy can handle them.

But then, looking over to Rafael and Angie, who are with Mariposa and Meteora in a stroller, Jade gets an idea.

Jade: You know, I bet they would enjoy some rides too.

Ludo: The girls?

Jade walks up to Rafael and Angie.

Jade: Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, would it be cool if Ludo and I watched over the girls for a bit.

Angie: I don't know.

Rafael: They do look so bored. And the girls look bored as well.

Angie: Promise you'll take good care of them.

Jade: Yes ma'am.

Angie: Okay then. Have fun, kids.

Rafael: This gives us a little break to go into The Tunnel of Love.

Angie: I like your thinking.

Jade and Ludo stare into the stroller, with the babies just staring and Jade and Ludo with complete confusion.

Jade: Hi, babies.

Ludo: How's it going.

Meteora and Mariposa just make non-discernible baby noises and coos at Jade and Ludo. They walk around the park, two small creatures with only slightly smaller creatures in a stroller that passes both of them in height. People give Ludo and Jade odd looks as they try to perform the mental gymnastics needed to figure out how that would anatomically work.

Jade: You know, Ludo, with us pushing these babies around, it's almost like you and I are a mommy and daddy.

Ludo: Yeah. Yeah it is, kinda.

Jade: Gasp, Ludo, look at that ride.

Ludo gets excited, but then looks where Jade is pointing only to find that the ride she is interested in is the lamest little roller coaster ever. The ride, called The Little Dipper, is a very, very slow baby ride, with a rainbow train. The train has a cartoonishly dopey face with a disgustingly saccharine smile that's unintentionally creepy. It moves at about 1/10th a mile an hour and the peak of excitement is marked by an almost one foot dip in the track.

As Jade and Ludo get in line, the babies get really excited to ride with them, but they are all small enough to get on the train. Ludo, feeling embarrassed, realizes he's on a baby ride with Jade, two babies, and a bunch of other very young kids. Jade is on one end, with Mariposa and Meteora in the middle, and Jade on the other end. The ride begins, and as Jade feigns excitement, Meteora and Mariposa enjoy themselves, and Ludo looks on in an expression of utter apathy, the ride starts. It takes nearly a minute for the ride to make its complete rotation, and at the foot deep dip, Meteora, Mariposa and Jade all let out a surprised WHOA!

They get off the ride, and the girls are just so happy. Jade looks over to Ludo, who's still being a stick in the mud.

Jade: What's the matter, Ludo. Didn't you have fun?

Ludo: I don't know. I just wanted to go on some real rides. Sigh.

Jade: Hey, we got to go on something together. I really enjoyed riding that slow baby ride with you, and the girls had so much fun.

Upon reflection, Ludo looks at just how happy Meteora and Mariposa are from having to have gone on that train ride and he realizes, that might not have gotten to happen at all had he and Jade not taken them on. He feels better, and he starts to smile, as he realizes his selfishness had prevented him from realizing what a pleasant time they were having.

They continue to walk for a bit longer, bonding with the babies, until they bump into Rafael and Angie, who proceed to take them back because they were worried. Jade and Ludo are now alone. Jade excitedly pulls Ludo to a ride that she'd wanted to go on since Angie and Rafael noticed it. Jade takes Ludo into the tunnel of Love. Ludo finds that even though it also is not as exciting as something called The Spine Obliterator, he enjoys it more than the train ride that he had ruined for himself.

The more time Ludo spends with Jade, the more they start to realize that they're made for each other. Everyone at the Echo Creek Fair has a great time, and on that beautiful summer night, they enjoy the sunset. After dark, the park closes, and they all go home. Ludo never forgets this day. It sits in his mind for months, and becomes the memory he falls asleep to every night.

Brudo and Lady Avarius continue to mend their marriage by going to see Dr. Nanas weekly to discuss their treatment of each other as well as their family, and to work out their own personal problems. Five years without magic pass, and we fast forward to a very special day in Star and Marco's lives. Inside the chapel of Castle Butterfly we can see pews filled with people. On the left are Star's family: Queen Moon and River Johansen Butterfly, her various aunts and uncles, Eclipsa and Globgor with young Meteora hanging out with Mariposa, etc.. Behind her are Tom's family, Tom with Janna, and others. On the right side, Marco's family: Rafael and Angie Diaz, his abuela, and various friends and family. Jackie Lynn Thomas and her girlfriend from France, Chloe sit in the back row.

It isn't to say that only Mewnans and close friends show up. Various monsters were seated within the ranks, such as Buff Frog and his many, many children. Then there is Ludo Avarius and his massive family, Lady Avarius and Lord Brudo, as well as their many children. Ludo would be seated with Jade. She had invited Iggy, and Ludo has made sure his army would attend. The rats of course, while not attending, are put in charge of dealing with the trash. They graciously accept the compromise, especially since it likely means there would be some wedding cake for them as well.

The wedding is huge. All the pews are filled. Many that consider themselves rather emotionally strong find themselves overwhelmed with tears of joy over the wedding that they witnessed. Even Ludo himself couldn't help but just be happy and taken by the mood of celebration.

After the wedding, he approaches Star.

Ludo: Star Butterfly, you look positively radiant.

Star: Aw, thanks Ludo. You're really cleaned up, yourself.

Ludo: Just look at you. You've grown up so much.

Star: Ha ha... you too Ludo.

Ludo: I sense sarcasm, but it is true. I've grown, at least horizontally, thanks to that cake, mm.

They both laugh.

Marco: Hey Ludo, what's up? How's Jade?

Ludo: I've been doing fantastic, Marco. My my how tall you've gotten. Jade is running Septarsis quite well, especially with guidance from Iggy.

Ludo looks up at them.

Ludo: You've both gotten so tall and beautiful. You really do belong together. I'm so proud of both of you.

Star throws her arms around Ludo.

Star: And I'm proud of you, Ludo. I really look forward to us working together to achieve happiness.

Ludo: It's not just us anymore. It's this whole world. I'm just glad we're not cut off from our friends anymore.

Star: That Iggy guy is a genius. I never considered the idea of science filling the void left by the absence of magic.

Ludo: I really owe a lot to Iggy studying magic as though it were a science. He's discovered so much because of it.

Star: I know. I've been very excited about the idea that I'll be able to see my inter-dimensional friends again. It's amazing that he's so willing to just share his inter-dimensional science with everyone so we can re-establish connections again.

The wedding is a huge success and everyone is happy. One day, Lord Brudo and Lady Avarius have a wonderful idea to take a vacation to their favorite spot in the Jaggy Mountains. Outside they stroll, from The fourth iteration of Castle Avarius, completed, the home they moved into as they gave New Avarius Castle to their older and independent children so they could have space. She and Brudo want some alone time to remember why they had gotten together in the first place. Outside, Ludo and Jade stand, waiting to send off Brudo and Lady Avarius on their trip. Several of the kids of the Avarius household come out, with several massive bags of luggage.

Lord Brudo: Thanks kids, that's all the bags I think. You ready milady?

Lady Avarius steps down the hill, adorned in her best fashionable sunglasses.

Lady Avarius: You have everything right?

Lord Brudo: Yeah, double, nay, triple checked everything.

Lady Avarius: You got your license this time, right?

Lord Brudo pulls out a pretty bad looking mugshot of a driver's license that he insists he would get redone but never does.

Lord Brudo: Ludo?

Ludo: Yeah dad?

Lord Brudo looks back at the castle.

Lord Brudo: That castle better be there when we get back.

Jade: Don't worry Lord Brudo, sir. I won't let him blow up the castle. Not on my watch.

Lady Avarius: I know you won't. Now you two, behave yourselves. Brudo and I are only gonna be gone a week.

Ludo: We will.

Lord Brudo: Oh yeah, and one more thing.

Both: We love you, Ludo!

Ludo: Ha ha, I love you too! Have a great trip!

And with that, off drive Lord Brudo and Lady Avarius. Brudo had gotten... better. But she knew better. On went that seat belt, and off Lord Brudo and Lady Avarius went towards the best part of the rest of their lives. Ludo and Jade wave as they pull over the horizon. Everything is beautiful. Everything is good. Ludo has nothing but the best days of his life ahead of him. Bright is the future of Earthni, Mewni,... whatever it was that they decided they wanted to call it. Brudo and Lady Avarius make it to the top of the Jaggy Mountains, their spot, their special place.

Lady Avarius: Are you ready, Brudo?

Brudo looks out across the long mountain range. He takes a deep breath.

Brudo: Ready.

Brudo removes his long coat to reveal his wings. They have grown long and luscious. His plumage is full and proud and beautiful. As he and Lady Avarius look at each other with smiles of infinite love, they take each other's hand, and they dive off the side of the mountain. Lady Avarius soars into the sky, and Brudo, for the first time ever, finally learns to fly. Brudo and Lady Avarius have finally become the free birds that they've always wanted to be.

With the death of the Realm of Magic comes the end of Septarian immortality. Jade is, at first, reluctant to embrace mortality, knowing that her life would be drastically shorter than it was before. However, the closer she would grow to Ludo, the more she would embrace it. Jade and Ludo eventually marry, uniting the monster world and Septarsis behind one kingdom. Together, they declare independence from Mewnan rule.

The monster kingdom and Butterfly kingdom continue to remain allies and they continue to work for true peace on Earthni. Jade and Ludo eventually bare children, little feathered raptor looking children that Ludo promises will not have rhyming names. He and Jade live together, growing old together, at peace with the fact that when one eventually fades away, the other will not be far behind.

The End
