May the Force be with you, Carrie Fisher. We will never forget you. *Death wasn't new to her. She had seen her planet destroyed, and her friends and fellows die to save the universe. She had felt it rip her father and then husband away from her. Now… now it was time to rejoin them.

Modern AU. Ani and Padme meet when he is a kid. Padme is a political genius, and amateur manipulator of the lives of her loved ones, Ani is a smol, angry, IT nerd. They meet again when Padme is an US Senator, and essentially the same, and Ani is a tol FBI agent, whose anger is slightly better repressed. Please, please, please review!

This is a little piece I wrote in memory of Carrie Fisher, giving our princess the send off she deserves.

This isn't fanfiction per se. This is a poem I literally just wrote in the aftermath of Carrie Fisher's death, our Princess Leia. May the Force be with her always! We will never forget her.
