Hi
Here's a tender, romantic moment. I hope you'll like. 😊
Thanks to a friend who checked for spelling, grammar for that story.
"It is just too tempting, all your inner thoughts and feelings."
I like to watch Christian when he doesn't know I'm looking him. I like to admire the straight line of his jaw, the curve of his cheekbone. He is sitting with his chair tipped back, his back against the wall. His hair is still wet from showering. He then comes toward and goes behind my back.
Christian is reading over my shoulder. I push him away, and he shakes his head. I crinkle up her nose and smile. A few seconds later, he is front of me, kneels and in a slow motion, kisses me, his hands firm on my back.
Food isn't the only thing I think about.
He's starting to tease then planting a kiss on my neck. Suddenly, I let myself dream about it for a minute. What am I most looking forward to?
There are so many things, I can hardly name them all. I'm looking forward to eating waffles every day with him in living room, to us sledding down Whistler Blackcomb is over two hours drive. And picnics when it's warm. To staying up all night talking and then waking up and talking some more. But he is not that kind of person. Stubbornly, he closes his eyes and waits, and I lean forward and plant a quick kiss on his lips.
" There. Satisfied, Mister Grey?"
"Yes, Miss Steele."
The next morning, I put on the poppy-colored lipstick I love. I cock my head to the side, facing the mirror.
""What did I tell you?" he says, a mischievous glint in his eyes and a sly smile on his lips.
I laugh.
"My life is so juicy." I reply.
He then puts a arm around me and in his hand, I see a ring box with red and white velvet. I clearly surprised. I open the box, my heart racing and let out a gasp. It's a gorgeous pink diamond ring.
"You're just the girl to wear it."
"Oh! Christian! My god! This is a lavish gift. "
Slowly, he takes the ring out and put it on my right hand. I blown away. I turn my face towards him and kiss him. I couldn't be happier. I think it's a proof of love.
Later that day, I'm in the kitchen with Kate, baking together chocolate cookies. For the past few weeks, she've been on a quest to perfect her chocolate cookie recipe, and I have been her steadfast passenger on the journey.
Kate prefers a flat, lacy kind of chocolate cookie, while I like its ooey-gooey-chewy cookies. The perfect cookie is a combination of the two. Crunchy but soft.
"What's up, Ana?" she asks her mouth full of cookie.
I just smile shyly. Kate knows me very well.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Something happened."
I lower my head, feeling a little bit embarrassed.
"Come on, Ana. We're friend. You know that you can tell me anything."
"I know."
My smile then broadens and I lift my head.
"Tell me." she says, excited."
"Well ... Christian offered me a beautiful a pink diamond ring."
"Wow! Ana! I'm so happy for you."
You can hear it.
"Is that an engagement ring?"
"No. It's just ... A gift."
Her eyes go wide with an astonished face and I feel embarrassed.
"No one offers a pink diamond ring for nothing."
"You know ... Christian is not ... And I lower my head again.
"What? The romantic type?"
I just nod.
"Ana. Look at me."
I lift my head and I'm finally facing her.
" Even if Christian is a controlling kind of person, secret and seems stolid or mask a wicked heart, I think he hides a heart of gold. He's protecting himself by not taking more emotional risks. He have this natural tendency to not want suffer for love because of emotional scars."
I escape a little smile, rolling my eyes.
"You' be great as analyst."
"But I'm serious." she replies with a big smile.
"I know."
"Such unfortunate people need special attention by someone special to help heal deep emotional scars." And you're that person."
I grab a cookie and take a bite.
" Cookies are delicious."
"Don't change the subject, Ana."
"Taste one of these."
"No."
"Come one, Kate!"
"Ana!"
We then behaved like teens. I chased her throughout the flat, cookie in my hand. That was so funny! Well, that's so stupid.
I secretly hope she is right.
Tonight, after I turn off the movie, the first time with Christian we drink sweet tea I made earlier in the evening.
"What are you thinking about?" Christian asks me. "You've got that look."
I chew on my lower lip.
"Why did you offer me this ring?"
"Why are you asking me that?"
"I ask myself questions which I can't answer yet."
"Tell me." he says in a neutral tone.
"What does means that gift to you? I would like to know the reason why you offered me. Please, Christian." I beg shyly.
And he just looks at me with this serious face and goes; "I felt like to make you happy."
Between us, it seems like a story of love through our eyes. The first time I see that in his.
" Fine." I just say,
It makes me feel all warm inside. No need for words. Now, I know why.
