One shot created for a friend. Fenris saves Hawke when she is ambushed at her home. While caring for her, he comes to terms with his feelings for the mage that stole his heart.

Visions of a past life and abuse from his former master cause Fenris to walk away from Hawke after their one blissful night together, unable to open up to her about his past. Guilt-ridden, Fenris wishes he were brave enough to ask for her forgiveness, but worries for her safety should Danarius return. His fear is well placed, as the final confrontation goes horribly wrong.
