Many people have correctly said much about how dark and hopeless an environment Worm is. But for a serious D&D player, it is simply Tuesday. So no use panicking. Of course, there is that little complication about starting out as a 1st level commoner...

Emma Barnes triggers in the alley. She and Taylor had dreamed about it in the past, but it's nothing like she expected. Saddled with a belligerent power that seems more interested in doing its own thing than being helpful, can she overcome her fears and realize her goals, or will she chart a course for disaster?

If you put a D&D Player into a world where superheroes exist, then escalation is just waiting to happen.

Take one paranoid munchkin D&D player, stick him in an unoptimized role-play-based character's body, throw him into an illuminati-wannabe-run death world at Level 1; stir well; then sit back and watch the show. What if the reason Eden perished in her crash was that there were forces unknown which had previously crashed with the entities? What if those forces wanted to give power to the people being attacked by the Entities? How would things be different if Myrddin wasn't wrong? Taylor Hebert's life is about to change. The QA shard decides to give Taylor control over something a bit more powerful than mere bugs.

Alternate power story. As the uncreative name suggests, this is the story of Taylor with Sorcerer spells from D&D 3.5, with the twist that I selected them randomly so Taylor would have to munchkin with just what she gets.
