Upon Sacrificing himself to the Well of Sparks, Optimus reawakens on Earth. But this isn't the Earth he knows, but a twisted one inhabited by human eating giants, with himself and a teenage boy as humanity's only hope.

No matter how horrific his actions were, Megatron's intentions were always noble, honorouble. But they say that the road to hell is paved in good intentions. Primus decides to allow Megatron to prove this saying wrong, by giving the former warlord one more chance. In order to become one with the Allspark, he must provide hope... to a race he so sorely despises.

When Megatron feels he is responsible for the deaths of many during the war, he decides to leave Cybertron and exile himself from any Cybertronian or any organic life form to prevent any further blood shed.
