Vengeance
Santana Lopez was in love with a very dangerous woman. Well, it wasn't exactly the woman who was dangerous, it was the woman's family...her father to be exact. Nothing in this world meant more to her than Valentina Ramirez. They had grown up together, and fallen into forbidden love. Had Santana's family not been a dangerous bunch in their own right she probably would have been killed the moment their secret was suspected. Instead, they were allowed to see each other quietly, allowed to pretend they were only the best of friends, allowed to be what some would look down on them for being... lovers. Both the Lopez family and the Ramirez family made it clear that the two young women were civilians and were not to be harmed. They were not to be bothered in any way. Not until they were called upon to assist their families in any way they were needed.
Santana was known to be a bit of a firecracker. She was the one most suited for the family business even though she had no interest in it. If she were a man her father would have protested the fact that she wanted nothing to do with his dealings. She made it clear to her father to never call upon her because she will not answer. She was raised around it but would never be a part of it no matter what. Her father knew that he would have to accept that. She was very much like him. She was calculating and ruthless when she needed to be. It was Santana who had bedded Luciana Rodriguez when Valentina refused to tell her father that she would not marry Manuel Martinez in order to help her father's business. Manuel was a part of the Martinez family organization and Valentina was going to be the bridge between the families. The Lopezes knew this was a power play, a play to make the Ramirez family stronger, but instead Valentina and Santana fell in love, and the Ramirez family joined with the Lopez family, grudgingly, as allies but still two very separate families. The two families were both lead by strong men, cunning men, unlike the Martinez family. Luis Ramirez was equally as equipped to run a successful family as his nemesis Juan Lopez was, only he was far more ruthless. The only thing that could temper his ruthlessness is if it came at a heavy price, and so Juan made sure there would always be a heavy price. He made his family invaluable to those more powerful than anyone in Miami and crossing the Lopez family would require approval that would take a lot of persuading to get. Where Luis was ruthless Juan was cunning and the powers that be found both to be assets, which kept them both safe and equals for the time being. Neither man would ever bend to the other, and they both knew that. They would have to rule on their own side of Miami and smile and keep the peace.
When Valentina had finally given in to her father and said that she would marry Manuel as long as she and Santana could continue to see one another Santana was livid. Santana had always been a smart girl, she knew that Valentina was a pawn in a power play. She also knew that a man like Manuel would not allow his wife to continue to have sex with her lover, male or female. Santana knew the first order of business in the Martinez/Ramirez union would be to kill Santana Lopez. Santana convinced Valentina that the only way to save her life would be to refuse to marry Manuel. Convincing Valentina wasn't easy. She was naive in so many ways, and fiercely loyal to her father. The only way to ever truly get through to her was to appeal to her heart, even if Santana had to break it.
Luciana Rodriguez had always wanted Santana, and she was beyond beautiful. Long dark hair, full lips, body curvy like a country road. So when Valentina and Manuel attended their first party together, dancing and holding hands, it was clear that she had made up her mind, she was beginning the courting phase and marriage would occur in a year at the most. Santana's pride would not let her run and leave the party like some wounded animal, and she was angry that Valentina hadn't even warned her that she would be attending with Manuel. So if Valentina was moving on Santana would too, except she wouldn't allow herself to be forced into heterosexuality. She was going to confirm what everyone already knew that night, what she had been hiding to protect Valentina. There were beautiful women to be had there, and Santana would have one. Actually, she had two of them that night.
She had danced openly with Luciana, which Valentina couldn't keep her eyes away from. The way Santana ran her hands up and down Luciana's body made Valentina tingle with sensory memory. Santana brushed her lips across Luciana's neck and Valentina felt herself throb. She saw Santana caress Luciana and Valentina's back arched. She watched them all night, until she watched them walk out the door together. Santana never bothered to look her way. She was her father's daughter, and her blood could run cold when you crossed her.
Santana didn't speak to Luciana, this was no romantic interlude. She walked and Luciana followed, taking long strides to keep up. Santana never looked back to see if she was still there, she knew that she would be. She marched through the house, past the guards who were to keep anyone from entering parts of the lavish home they were not to enter. This was the Ramirez home, a home Santana had been to countless times, the home of her best friend who was so much more to her. She was also a Lopez, and so one look from her extended her a courtesy she didn't have to verbally ask for. The guards parted, letting the two women through, one following to stand just outside the bedroom door. Courtesy aside, Santana had someone with her that they would be responsible for if she slipped away, and so they stayed close to the bedroom, insuring that nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Once inside the bedroom Luciana knew better than to make the first move. Santana closed and locked the door and then turned to the woman, who didn't dare say a word knowing that one wrong move meant that this whole thing would end.
Santana walked as close to the woman as possible, eyes locked tight on her.
"Do you love me?" Santana asked. When the woman went to answer she held up one finger, eyes still locked coldly on hers. "Take a moment, but don't take too long. Answer very carefully."
Luciana looked into those dark eyes and found the right answer.
"No" she said, hoping she understood correctly.
"Good. Because I don't love you, and I never will. This is a one time thing, for now, unless we decide to make it a more than one time thing. That's undecided. What is decided is that it will never be a love thing, no matter how hard you try. If you're okay with that, let me see all of you. If you're not, leave so that someone who is okay with it can take your place."
Luciana let her dress fall to her feet, revealing red lace underwear. Only then did the darkness in Santana's eyes change from cold to lustful.
Santana pulled her in and brought her lips to her neck. She used her hands to slowly trace her body, moving over her ass and up her hips, her sides, her shoulders, until she took her chin in her hands and brought their mouths together. Luciana's breath hitched and she felt a pool of arousal building between her thighs.
"Lay", Santana said raspily, and Luciana did as she was directed. Santana slowly undressed, allowing Luciana to drink in the sight, watching the want in her eyes, the visible desire in her face from the throbbing of her sex. It made Santana feel powerful with how clearly this woman wanted her.
Santana prowled slowly towards the bed. Luciana released herself from the bra and went to remove her panties.
"Leave them", Santana said, never breaking eye contact. She crawled up the bed and ran her hands softly up the length of her body. "You are breathtaking, there's no denying that."
"So are you. I've wanted you for so long." Luciana replied.
"I'll make sure you get your fill tonight." Santana says.
Santana kisses her deeply, and Luciana hungrily responds. Santana takes her breast into her mouth, caressing her other breast with her hand, manipulating her erect nipple as her tongue did the same to the other. Santana worked her way back up, kissing her deeply before pushing her underwear to the side and running two fingers through Luciana's sex, coating them with her own arousal before guiding one inside. Luciana gasped and wet her lips and soon after Santana added another causing her to almost instantly buck up into her hand.
"Easy hermosa, we're just getting started." Santana husks.
Santana worked her hands wonderfully, finding all of Luciana's hidden places, and reveled in the moans that escaped her mouth. Hearing and watching a woman beneath her turned Santana on almost as much as feeling them pleasure her, and so she enjoyed the way the crinkle deepened in Luciana's forehead as she felt herself getting worked up more and more.
"Are you okay linda?" Santana asked.
"Si Santana, esta bueno. Mas por favor... por favor" Luciana said almost breathlessly.
Santana entered another finger and drove into her faster, harder, until she exploded and cried out causing Santana to bite her bottom lip as she watched the woman crumble beneath her. She buried her face in her neck and worked her slowly until her orgasm passed, raining light kisses on her face. Just as she was kissing her way down Luciana's body she heard a commotion outside the door. She covered the two of them in anticipation that they were about to be rudely interrupted, and Santana knew there was only one person bold enough to do so. It was confirmed once she heard the lock turn and the door open.
"What the hell is going on here?" Valentina asked, closing the door behind her.
"Hello Valentina. I'm guessing that's a rhetorical question amiga. Lovely party, I'm having the time of my life." Santana replied, planting a kiss on Luciana's lips. "Don't worry, I'll buy you new sheets, I plan on ruining these entirely." she smiled, looking hungrily at the blushing woman beside her.
"Santana, do you mind if we have a word?"
"Valentina, why don't we save those words for when we both aren't so busy. Your family is hosting a party, and I'm sure both your father and Manuel are already missing your presence. You have unfinished business out there, and I have unfinished business in here. Luciana and I will be done in time for the last dance. Do you mind, amiga?" Santana asked, her voice dripping with honey and sarcasm.
"We will talk later" Valentina said coolly, turning to leave.
"Please lock the door behind you". Santana states, sliding down Luciana's body, making sure Valentina would have a clear image of where she was heading. It was only seconds later that Valentina heard the girl moan loudly from the other side of the door.
"You can go back to your post". Valentina stated to the guard.
"Your papi would want me to stay." The guard stated. Valentina knew he was right, but she also knew she didn't want him to hear the words she had for Santana once the night was over.
"What my papi would want is for you not to question me."
"Yes, Ms. Ramirez." he stated, reluctantly leaving, saddened to leave because he was rather enjoying the images he had been creating in his head to the sounds he had heard more than he was actually worried about dealing with his boss. Luciana noticed the bulge in his pants and stalked away, disgusted.
Santana and Luciana took turns pleasing one another for the next 90 or so minutes. Once they were done Santana sent Luciana back to the party and waited for an enraged Valentina to show up.
Santana knew Valentina would be there the moment she saw Luciana return to the party. Not ten minutes later did Valentina come bursting through the door.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
"I'm moving on just like you."
"I told you that I still love you."
"And I told you the moment you marry Manuel I'm a dead woman, so I better live it up now."
"I won't let anything happen to you, mi amor."
"You won't be able to stop it, I'm saddened to say."
"Who is to say that if I'm with you they still don't kill you?"
"You are the key, mi amor. Your father has to know that you are not a bargaining chip. You will not marry anyone from the Martinez family. You will not marry anyone he asks you to, ever, no matter what he says. My father has known that wasn't an option since I've been old enough to know how their business works. If your father accepts that, then we're both safe, unless that fool Martinez believes he can advance by hurting one of us. There lies the wild card. If he makes that mistake surely he will die. I will make sure my father reminds him of that, you should make sure your father does the same."
"My father needs me."
"I assure you had neither of us ever been born those two fathers of ours would be thriving in the exact same business they are now. They don't need us. We can make their lives easier, but that's not our jobs."
Valentina moves towards Santana and Santana steps back.
"No"
Valentina persists.
"I said no."
"Touch me"
"After I've just been with another woman? After you've spent all night in the arms of another man?"
"I refuse to let the taste of her be the last one you remember tonight. I can't take the thought of it."
"So I suggest you don't think about it. You made your choice."
"I need you, mi amor. I'm sorry. He can never make me feel the way you do."
"Does he know that?"
"He will"
"Then I will certainly die."
"Why do you think the worst all of the time?"
"Why won't you accept the truth? You have to open your eyes, mi amor, you've spent your entire life in this world you should have been paying attention to how it works."
Valentina just looked at Santana sadly.
"You want me to touch you? I will, because I can't get rid of this ache without you. I just spent 2 hours trying and I yearn just as much as I did when I first walked in this room. But this will be the last time, I promise you that, unless you tell your father about us, that it's more than just fun for us, unless we can finally really be together."
"Touch me"
"Do you understand me?"
"Touch me"
"Answer me"
Valentina crashed their lips together and Santana pulled her in tight. She moved her towards the wall and shoved her against it.
"This is not a game", she hissed.
"And women are not toys, Santana. Why would you be with her, when you know you want me?"
"She understood the terms, and we can't always have what we want, can we? Luciana knows that and I know that, only you seem to be confused. Would you prefer I cry over you?"
"Yes"
"I'm sorry, I can't allow myself to do that when it's your choice to leave."
Valentina crashed their lips together again. Santana pinned her hands above her head against the wall, biting down on Valentina's bottom lip.
"Speaking of toys, isn't that exactly what you're asking me to be, someone you pull out of your box whenever you need to have a real orgasm? Meanwhile I have to push the thoughts of him inside of you out of my mind every time I'm with you? You're a hypocrite, Valentina, and I still can't stop loving you, not yet."
Santana kissed her roughly, releasing one hand and putting it around her throat, gently squeezing. She was angry, and hurt, and turned on, and preparing herself for the worst and this time would be unlike all of their other times, this time would be Santana accepting that it may be the last time, and knowing that she would let her go if she had to.
Santana let her other arm go and raised her dress, pushing her panties to the side and quickly finding her spot, thrusting hard and slow, painfully slow, until she was almost begging her to pick up the speed. Once she had her at the edge she picked up the pace, pounding into her as she pressed her lips roughly to hers, one hand still gently on her throat, and pushed her tongue hungrily into her mouth, swallowing her moans. She didn't care if anyone heard them. She was sick of hiding. She had already exposed herself that night, and if Valentina chose to come to that room that night it was her choice to make.
When Valentina fell apart, to the point that Santana had to hold her up against the wall, Santana slid down her body and removed her underwear. She lifted one leg over her shoulder and went down on her slowly, twirling her tongue around her clit and pushing it deep inside of her, running it through her folds and tasting every bit of her. By the time she trembled again Santana was fighting back her tears. She would save those for later. For now, for now she had to concentrate on goodbye.
Santana stood, leaving her barely standing against that wall, as she fixed her clothing and straightened out her hair as best she could. She walked towards the door to leave when Valentina spoke.
"You're just going to leave without saying a word?"
"I gave you what you wanted. I touched you, and your taste is the last taste in my mouth tonight. Two simple requests fulfilled. You're welcome."
"Do you hate me Santana?"
"I could never hate you Valentina."
"But you don't love me anymore?"
"I do, for now, but soon enough that will pass. I'll make sure that it does because it has to."
"I don't want you to hate me for what I have to do Santana."
"I won't hate you for what you choose to do Valentina. I'll meet you in the middle."
"What do you mean?"
"Do you know what exists in the middle of love and hate, Valentina? Indifference. I won't love you or hate you, I'll just be indifferent towards you."
"Please Santana. I've never slept with him, I promise you. Please give me some time."
"Deal with it, or let me go. I would die for you, Valentina, but I won't die for half of you. Decide if you want to be his, or mine. You have one week. Get rid of him, marry me, and I will let you know what needs to be done for us to survive this."
"Santana..."
"It's simple, really. You marry him and your father and Martinez set out to destroy my father. When that happens I die, so that I have no influence over you, so that Manuel Martinez' manhood doesn't come into question, even though he will cheat on you with more women than you will ever cheat on him with. I live, we live, if we stick together, if neither your father or mine can ever come between us, if we truly remain civilians as we have said we would since we were teenagers. You marry Manuel and you are no longer a civilian, and you are no longer a part of my world. You would be knowingly endangering me and my family, and that would be enough to have me put my love for you aside, just as you are doing mine. I've told you all of our lives that when I finish school, when I find work, I leave this world and I never look back. I will love my family from a distance. I never wanted this life, and my mother never wanted it for me. If it's the life you want I won't try to stop you, but I won't ignore the fact that you can't pretend to be naive any longer since I've clearly explained it to you. I won't ignore the threat your actions will become to the Lopezes. Then you can pray that I just remain indifferent. Pray that you never live to see the day that I would hate you, Valentina."
Santana walked out of the door and out of the house. Only when she reached her car did she finally allow herself to cry.
Valentina did not live to see the day that Santana hated her. Within three years she would be dead in a hail of bullets, lying beside a man who never loved her, who used her as a human shield, allowing her to take 14 bullets without taking a single one himself. It wasn't the Lopez family who killed her, her father would not do that to Santana, and it certainly wasn't the Ramirez family. It was at the hands of a woman who Manuel had fathered two children with in the three years that Valentina was married to him. A woman who Manuel walked out on and left her to fend for them herself. A woman who convinced herself that only if Valentina were dead she would have him. Walking in to the sight of him inside of his wife was just to much for her, she had tried to kill them both. Instead both women died in a hail of bullets that night, the mistress killed by the very guard who had allowed her on the grounds, mistakenly this time, as he had a hundred times before. After Manuel had heard the story of how the guard thought Valentina was at her parent's home as she often was at that time and that Manuel had summoned his mistress as he often did and so he let her in, he accepted that excuse and then used his lover's gun to put a bullet in the guard's head, a guard named Danny who had a childhood friend whose life he once saved, and who would not take this death lightly.
Soon Santana and this friend would meet, and they would share a common goal.
