When Aiden picked up the extra DVD in his copy of HTTYD, the last thing he was expecting was to be thrown into the world of Berk and become the village screw-up's best friend. This story starts a few days before the first raid in the movie and will explore what would have happened had Hiccup had a friend his own age from the beginning to the end of the film. *On hold, to be cont.*

Hiccup and Toothless fly through a lightning storm, in Hiccup's POV. Kind of AU. I'm not sure when it's set. Also, this ignores the Riders of Berk episode "When Lightning Strikes", or is set before.

HTTYD 2 never happened. When Berk is captured by the Dagur, the hooligans are forced into slavery or fed to the Skullions. Hiccup, Astrid and Toothless have to find a way to kill Dagur before he unintentionally unleashes a ancient evil that will doom them all. Pairings: Hiccstrid and Stalka

However, in doing so he has created a monster within himself. After tragedy rocks Hiccup's world, he gives into his own monster, and it is up to his closest friends to save him from himself.
