Hiccup and Astrid married a year after the events of the second movie and then the year following had a child. This story takes place 15 years after the child's birth. Hiccup feels overwhelm with the attention from his tribe and his father, he never had it before and now he just wants to be with Toothless. When Hiccup goes into heat he discovers he loves Toothless and Toothless loves him back and the two of them leave and come back a week later, Hiccup claimed and pregnant with Toothless' children. Alternate scenario - Valka returns to Berk when her son is 16, a year after Hiccup ended the dragon war.

One of the letters Zenna wrote to Hiccup while she was away studying to be a doctor doesn't just show how much her friendship to the brilliant one-legged boy means to her...it also shows that she's a pretty darn good poet.

It finally looks as though Berk will be left alone. Astrid has managed to keep her husband out of trouble for five long years- quite a feat with Hiccup- and they have two beautiful children. Berk is about as peaceful as it gets with inflammatory lizards sharing a hunk of rock in the ocean. Fishlegs returns from a trading trip with news that will change Berk- and not for the better.

With his father passed just four months ago. Hiccup has full responsibility of the Village now, he still wants to Travel and spend time with his friends and family but being Chief takes time away from that, it also does not help that new and more powerful dragons have suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but using this, he can go on an adventure with his friends.

Hiccup decides its time to let in new members to the Dragon Training Academy and his first recruit, Gustav Larson.
