I finished my own Original Story, it is entirely free and on Wattpad. Check it out, Destiny Rebellions- A Queen's Champion... if you love A Mortal's Might you'll love it. It was inspired heavily by that story and this one. Please check it out and tell me if you love it. I will be publishing it one day, so check it out before I pull it off of Wattpad.
A month and a half after reaching Rice Country
"Hmmm..." Tsunade pondered, looking at the report before her. It was a report for a boy no more than fourteen or fifteen based on his height that had gained just enough attention to be noticed by any village wanting to recruit him, a common enough tactic during times of peace. Shin Uzumaki, the Pale Healer, a boy who had gained fame over the last month and a half moving from town to town, healing people with greater and greater skill. Tsunade rarely cared for missing ninja, but someone claiming Uzumaki heritage and show casing a rare skill such as healing... "Could he be truly an Uzumaki... He would be a fantastic asset if his skills are as valid as they seem on paper." She directed her attention to the entire page, looking at the boy's report.

According to the report, the boy had unintentionally killed another Monk in the First Temple, a boy named Sora, and had left as a result. Someone within the Monks temple feared and hated him so much they slipped a report to them, to have him killed... because, somehow, the boy he stopped had been a jinchuurki of all things, bearing Kyuubi's chakra. This alone had to be investigated,... but more than that, She had to speak to the boy about joining their village. The boy's gift for healing was a rarity and it could prove to be just what they needed during this hard time. Losing a Kage and so many after an invasion, they needed all the help they could get.
The boy had spent, so far, the next month at Rice country after leaving the Fire Temple then moved through Rice Country towards Sea country, taking two weeks to travel what should have taken days because he stopped and spent days at a time healing people in small and large towns. The boy had saved over a hundred lives in that time, and rumors spread due to his skills...
He had not done enough to enter the Bingo book but he had done more than enough to gain attention. Healers were a rare and valuable commodity. Even Oonki, a war obsessed moron, would have seen the boy's skills as a rare treasure. She had to jump on this fast, before the boy was invited to join the enemy villages. She could not tolerate the idea of Oonki, who according to Jiriaya had used the Akatsuki countless times, gaining such a gifted asset... especially if he was truly an Uzumaki, that powerful bloodline never failed to make powerful Ninja and with that genetic cocktail added to the Rock's bloodlines they would have a tremendous burst of strength.
No, she needed to act now...'
"Shizune, get me Team Guy."
Her beloved apprentice nodded. "Yes, Ma'am."
Five minutes passed before Team Guy was in her presence. "You have a mission before you, one of great importance. There is a ninja, by the name of Shin Uzumaki, that you are to find and pass on an offer to."
"Why, Lady Hokage?" Tenten asked.
Tsunade sighed, bridging her fingers together in front of her face. "He is a powerful healer at the age of fourteen, he had a knowledge of sealing jutsu and he managed to stop a rampaging Ninja of incredible strength. Not unlike when Gaara was rampaging." They all gasped, even Gai. "We are not to force him, only to make the offer and if he says yes to escort him back to the village safely. Such a skilled healer could prove invaluable in these hard times."
Gai nodded. "Is that why I am on this mission and not just my team?"
"In part... but, the rest of it is this... according to our report, the boy gained this strength in only three months after being found in Rice country in the remains of a base of Orochimaru's. I cannot stress the importance of caution and safety, if he has been empowered by Orochimaru, in any way, you have to be extremely careful. Gai, you're one of the strongest Ninja we have ever produced, your powers will ensure the safety of your team."
"I understand."
"Good. The boy was seen approaching Sea Country, you will likely find him there. He has been stopping and healing people for little to no cost, all along the counties he's visited. You will likely hear rumors that will help lead you to him. Hand him this scroll... and this scroll contains a report on his powers, should you be forced to fight him." She handed them the scrolls in question. "You have your mission, dismissed."

Three Days Later
"Fire style- Fireball jutsu!" Shin called out, before rapidly calling out another jutsu. "Wind Style- Gale Palm Jutsu!" Throwing the ball of air into the roaring fire ball, Shin watched it explode into a rush of white hot fire that decimated the pirates rushing after him with samurai swords. They screamed as the two C rank jutsu created one powerful A ranked ninjutsu so strong it melted their swords and flesh.
Without pause, he pulled his monk staff from the ground and rushed the pirates smart enough to dodge his attack, and knocked aside their weapons easily before twirling and slamming his staff against them with enough force to send them rushing into unconsciousness. He leaped over to the next pirate ship, tossing an explosive tag onto the previous ship and flaring his chakra, rocking the air with an explosion and pieces of the fallen ship.
Channeling wind chakra into his staff, he swiped at the idiot pirates, sending them flying back as a massive gale born from his staff slammed into them. A few quick motions resulted in snapped necks and crushed skulls. Satisfied with himself, he stood tall and went underneath the ship's deck and quickly began to seal away the supplies and food they had stolen from the people of Sea country.
Returning to land, he was treated with happy screams and calls, making him smile as he passed along all that was taken from the people of Sea. "Please, make sure it goes to who needs it." He kept his voice soft, airy, as if he was a higher being. Much as it annoyed him, he still had Naruto's innate rasp making it easy to determine they were connected. This helped mask the connection as far as he could tell.
For the next hour, after burying the remains of the pirates, he would return to the medical office of Sea country and assist in using his increasingly potent healing skills ( which had become his favorite thing ever at this point) to assist in healing over twenty people. He would have called it a day, gone for some food and just relaxed...
Yes, he would have done this, but he could not as before his eyes four very familiar Ninja appeared.
Neji Hyuuga, Tenten, Might Gai and Rock Lee all appeared in front of him. Gai and Lee were smiling winningly, Neji looked hesitant and Tenten determined.
"Hello there, friend." Gai started, a scroll in his hand. "At the request of Our Lady Hokage, we have an offer for you..."
Stunned, Shin nodded slowly. "What offer is that?"
"To join our village."
Shin choked. "What?" He cringed, hearing Naruto in every essence of that single word. He had to deep breathe a few times, refocus himself before he could talk like his false self. "And why should I? I have heard stories of your village's abuse towards my kin."
"Kin?" Neji asked, his tone confused.
"Naruto Uzumaki. I am also an Uzumaki, Shin Uzumaki. I have heard stories from merchants about your people's mistreatment of him." This was actually true, people who did not know of the ninja ways were very confused about the abuse towards the Jinchuuriki. He had learned about the fame of Killer Bee, the Abuse and now Love of Gaara, the isolation and hate given towards Rock's Jinchuurki... and finally the isolation and hate Naruto experienced. He never would have guessed but people were actually nervous to enter the village with children for that very reason.
Lee gaped. "You are Naruto's family?"
"From what I gather, yes, Naruto and I share a relative. We are both Uzumaki by name and birth." He frowned as Neji, in that instant, activated his Byakugan. "You cannot see through my mask, there are seals that prevent that you know."
The boy pouted. "You have yellow hair, like Naruto and you share his name... and yet you were found in Orochimaru's stronghold... are you really a relative?"
He wanted to cringe but realized there was an easier path. "Gai, you want me to go to serve your village but you allow your students such rudeness?"
The man cringed. "Stand down, Neji...I am sorry, Shin. I truly am... but it is a reasonable question."
He sighed, thankfully not entirely unprepared for this. "I was found at Orochimaru's base, but my memories are damaged. I cannot remember who I was. I am Shin now, I was an Uzumaki before though. That much I remember. I took on a new name when I came too. It is getting late... you may stay with me for the night, to discuss this offer of yours. Follow me, my hotel room is quite large. They insisted on giving me a massive room for my services." he stopped suddenly an idea coming to his mind. "I will not join your village, not yet, but in... when Naruto returns, I will not only go to the village but I will reveal my face. I am on a pilgrimage to find myself, to find purpose and my identity. In return for this, you will help me. I wish to go to the stronghold Orochimaru had once had here. I am researching the Curse Marks to find a way to free those afflicted with them." A lie, but one he actually liked and so made a new challenge. " I will also accept missions from the Leaf, I will place bounties I collect in half towards the Leaf... I will help Ninja from the Leaf if I see them and I will help fight against the Akatsuki, who have created a great deal of havoc over the last few years as far as I can tell." And that was true, he had heard of them kidnapping Jinchuurki for a foul purpose, mainly both of the Rock Jinchuuriki. "Tell your Hokage this, and if she keeps to this agreement I will journey to your village and determine if it is worth my energy to join. Does that sound agreeable?"
Gai nodded. "Most agreeable, good sir."
"Thank you... now, if you please, follow me to my current abode."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was so much fun to write.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
