I finished my own Original Story, it is entirely free and on Wattpad. Check it out, Destiny Rebellions- A Queen's Champion... if you love A Mortal's Might you'll love it. It was inspired heavily by that story and this one. Please check it out and tell me if you love it. I will be publishing it one day, so check it out before I pull it off of Wattpad.

I think the three facets... Ninja, Ninja Monks and Samurai hold the key to true power for Shin

"Burrrrr!" Shin shivered, walking through the frigid cold of the Land of Iron. "It is miserable here..." The land of Iron was actually a rather large place, a third of the size of the Land of Fire, with it's peak civilization towards the frigid north where they reached the Sea. Shin climbed the coast towards that part of things, doing his normal thing healing people of all shapes and sizes just cause he could, spending hours a day training in all he could, reading up on his new scrolls to get a better understanding of chakra control and anatomy and medical jutsu.

"We find it quite quaint, stranger." A voice said, and it would have startled him...

He had not sensed their approach two miles past. Turning, he would have offered a smile had his mask not been on. "Hello, whoever you are." It was a samurai, with his head wrapped in bandages and a long mustache and thin beard. He was riddled with armor and he had a sword. He oozed power, jonin level power.., He had a squad of Samurai in full armor on either side of him. " Who do I have the honor of speaking to?"

The man smiled. "Pale Healer, you have the honor of speaking to Mifune, the Head of the Samurai. Your friend Chiriku is a well-known figure here, and a long time ally. He sent a letter that you may one day cross our path, we wanted to escort you to somewhere comfortable and... possible ask if you would honor us by healing some of our youth.. and perhaps spar with me. I hear you have quite a bit of skill with that staff of yours."

"Both would be possible. Why am I healing them? What happened?"

"Training accidents are common I am afraid since we do not use jutsu."

"I plan on spending at least a month here, to garner more skills... I will agree to help act as healer, and even teach more basic healing techniques that do not involve jutsu if you are willing to help me with my weapon skills. I have basic sword skills, all Ninja do, but I wish to bolster them as well as my staff skills. I would also like to see if I can mimic your techniques, respectfully of course."

The man laughed. "I would be honored to teach you myself. I rarely have a student and your generosity in healing our people would be a fine payment."

"That sounds like a deal. I admit I am shocked you would allow me here at all, I was under the impression that our people do not get along."

"If you were not an ally of Chiriku, I would not allow you to stay in this country at all. In fact, even with that, I might not have let you stay had it not been for Chiriku saying that you are looking for a purpose. That is something I can understand, and I wish to help you with that. I can understand not having a purpose, something that defies physical pain... you might even find that our way, that of the Samurai, is your path."

"You sneaky bastard... I like it."

"I try." Mifune said, a smirk on his lips.

Mifune, as it turned out, was easily High Jonin level, trouncing Shin effortlessly. The fight was fun though, he managed to block maybe a third of the man's strikes with his staff but he had to use his chakra in order to do it, and even then it was barely done. He enjoyed the ass beating though, the man's skill was breathtaking to watch, a testament to his experience and effort.

"You are incredible," Shin said, before looking at his chipped and damaged staff. "Pity you damaged my staff."

The man laughed. "I will get you a new one, made from the iron forged here. it channels chakra and is far more durable. Consider it a present for being a fair fighter."

"Appreciated... do you need any healing?"

"No but my students do, follow me my friend."

And so he was lead away to the medical bay, a massive rectangular room filled with beds and groaning, winning students covered in bruises and cuts. Two ended up having an infection that needed to be drained, four had broken bones that needed to be set and six had bloody noses. He healed them all, using a substantial amount of chakra to do so. It was fun, he relished in healing people, it was nice to find something he excelled at like this.

"I can really imagine spending some time here."

"I thought you would say that. I have much to teach you, how do you feel about attending classes with our beginner Samurai? Learning our philosophy and ways?"

"I would be honored."

"Harmony is the key, it is all we strive for." Shin, standing in the back of classroom, listened with rapt attention. "As samurai, we carry forward on the principles of the Sage of Six paths, using our chakra to connect to everyone. We will fight back, as humans are flawed but connecting when we can and acting with honor at all times. It is to this end that we conduct ourselves."

Shin wanted to sigh, it seemed that no matter where you went humans were filled with hubris, sure their way of life was better than other people... it was... disheartening but he endured it. He knew that he could pick pieces of everyone's life and find his own path, see what worked and cast aside what did not... and that made it worth spending time in Iron.

"""

"Imagine your chakra not grinding together, as you have with your wind chakra, but flowing smoothly through your weapon. You are using a blunt object, not a sword, so that is the key." Mifune said, making Shin smile.

Doing as he was told, he focused his chakra through his newly crafted staff and watched as they changed, turning into a perfectly smooth presence. Twisting it and slammed it forward and a gust of potent chakra wind blasted forward. " That was fun."

"You have a knack of chakra manipulation, that will help you... now test your staff against my sword, for that is the best way to learn this technique."

Unlike before when his staff slammed against sword, it actually pushed Mifune away, and that made him smile... finally, progress!

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

I actually looked at a map to make up a few things... I adore Mifune for some reason.

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
