"Are you done Shizune?" Shin asked the woman as she moved her glowing hands over his mostly naked body. It felt weird to be this exposed to anyone, let alone someone from his past life.
She frowned at him. "Nearly... it is amazing, you look like Naruto, your genetic code is identical but you are not him. You lack any traces of the Kyuubi, you have vastly different charka. Your chakra is so spiritually aligned and you also possess the Uzumaki chakra and so have potent physical chakra. In terms of the sheer amount, your levels are not much lower than Tsunade's only less dense at the moment but I can tell that is shifting. In a year or so you will have chakra levels approaching Naruto's!"
He smiled at that. "Really?"
"Yes, you're an Uzumaki you all have massive physical chakra reserves but you also have the perk of being unlike Naruto in that you have experience, training, and studying at your side. You should be able to create about ten or so shadow clones now, safely."
He smirked. "I am using them, or I will anyway, for reading. I go through Naruto's memories sometimes, I noticed the clones' memories were present in my mind."
She nodded, frowning more. "They were made for reconnaissance so that is why you keep the memories. You are right, but I would limit yourself to one or two clones if that is the case so you do not suffer from the collective exhaustion and mental strain you will receive as a result. Your healing factor is beyond normal ninja, that is true, but you are not possessing high speed regeneration like Naruto. Limit yourself to two clones if you are going to do that for your own safety."
He nodded right back, sighing softly. "Ruin my fun... but still, that will help me do more reading on the scrolls I run across in the Ninja Monk Temples."
She sat him up. "So, since that is done... why don't you tell me why you refuse to return to the Leaf? And what is this bout Jiraiya throwing you down a cliff."
"In order, I want to find myself, I woke with no name, no identity and sense of purpose. I am learning, evolving, discovering my truer self and I love it. I love being this freer, newer person but Naruto always had a sense of purpose in wanting to be Hokage and then saving Sasuke. I do not share those dreams but I think that I share his need for a purpose... I am striving to find one.
As for the other thing, Jiraiya tossed Naruto down a cliff to get him mastery of the Fox's power. He would have died if he had not gotten lucky with the Fox, Jiraiya is a moron."
To his shock, Shizune oozed Killer intent. " That moron! Why would he... I... Kami, he is a fool. Lady Tsunade will have a field day with that..."
"I will return to the Leaf one day, when Naruto does Shizune, I will reveal my self, my true self, and I will stop hiding but not until then. I will keep my true self hidden from the world, no one will know I was once a part of Naruto. No one will that I am a Leaf Ninja, even if only in part. I am fine, I am safe and I am happy. Let that be enough."
Sighing, she nodded. "Fine, I will work with Tsunade on something just... be careful, okay?"
"I will try. I am going to Waterfall next, learning some Water jutsu and some more sealing before going to Whirlpool after a month."
"You know we, the Leaf I mean, scoured Whirlpool for any sign of anything... we found nothing?"
"No, I did not know that but I wanted to see my forefather's homeland... and who knows, with my Uzumaki blood, I might find more than you lot did."
"Maybe... just be safe, okay."
"I will... thank you Shizune."
"You are not done yet, I need to test your medical skills before you leave, so let's see what you can do."

"You are late." Shin looked up at the Waterfall Monk frowning at him. "We expected you here a month ago."
"I was delayed, I spent some time in the Land of Iron then I helped Leaf Ninja on a mission at the bases of Orochimaru. It relates to my past as you know."
The man nodded. "I see... well, you are welcome here, Chiriku speaks highly of you and your healing skills. We... we are in need of a good healer, the talent is so rare."
"That is what I hear rather frequently, Show me where I am needed."

"... I see, he is a B Class healer," Tsunade said, smiling. "Is he like Naruto at all?"
"Not really," Shizune replied. " He is calmer, quieter, more sure of himself and less impatient. He seems smarter too, his chakra is almost half spiritual. His reserves are almost as high as your own!"
"He is a true Uzumaki after all... well, I guess we will have to honor his request until he returns. As strong as he is, he would be hard to bring in with our currently over stretched forces... and frankly, I understand looking for a purpose."
"I thought you would. He is going to be an amazing addition to our forces, a real asset."
"I hope he is good too and for Naruto as well." She said. " Naruto needs some more family..."

Orochimaru wanted to scream. " HOW DID THEY FIND JUGO AND THE NORTHERN HIDEOUT!" The man wanted to kill something, but he settled for glaring at Kabuto with all his might. "Who was present, who was a part of this mission?"
"Asuma, Anko, The current Ino-Shika-Cho and the Pale healer Shin Uzumaki."
Frowning, Orochimaru sat down. "Put him in the Bingo book, use the reports to evaluate his rank and worth. He has interfered far too much, and if the Leaf is interested in him then he will be a pest in the future. Have him killed."
Kabuto nodded obediently and within the hour the Bingo book was updated.
