I finished my own Original Story, it is entirely free and on Wattpad. Check it out, Destiny Rebellions- A Queen's Champion... if you love A Mortal's Might you'll love it. It was inspired heavily by that story and this one. Please check it out and tell me if you love it. I will be publishing it one day, so check it out before I pull it off of Wattpad.
Tsunade promised Shin that Naruto would return in a month, give or take and so Shin had one last task before him. Only one last task, that would complete his training and give him an edge in his goal to revive his clan. He could not believe it had been so long, but the training was beyond hard. He had broken bones, trained harder than ever, studied constantly and mastered his powers.
He had spent the last near year and a half training like no one's business, using three and four clones to read up on the various Uzumaki scrolls. They may have had been designed for kids, but that did not take away their punch. For the Uzumaki taijutsu it relied on an ebb and flow style, more offensive than his Fire Monk style, blending perfectly with it. According to Asuma and Gai, whom he met again for random missions, he was easily a kage level taijutsu user. Fighting Bounty Hunters at least weekly helped that skilled evolve drastically.
His ninjutsu had expanded to include all elements but focused on Wind, Fire and Water in that order. He frequently mixed Wind jutsu with fire or water to create devastatingly powerful jutsu that could destroy entire battlefields. He could heal on a scale that surpassed most medical ninja, though not on Tsunade's level since he never worked in a hospital. Since he still healed all over creation, he had managed to heal major injuries in moments. He started to use the chakra scalpels to augment his taijutsu and sound jutsu he created ( since they were just wind jutsu) to slaughter over a hundred ninja and rogue samurai.
His staff skills were unparalleled, they were his greatest offensive skill, he could use his staff for offense and defense and to augment his ninjutsu. He had decorated it in seals that would magnify and focus chakra to greater levels. He could use it to create barriers, to create gusts of wind. It was sealed to be stronger, more durable and more.
Speaking of seals, he mastered all of the Basic Uzumaki seals, leaving him just shy of a seal master by Uzumaki standards. He have over fifty seals to use, ten or so in battle and more for generic use. His favorite was a binding seal that drained chakra, shocking people for trying to move.
Then there was genjutsu, he was no master but he could cast a few genjutsu mostly on a broader scale. He studied hard, casting them on his clones making it easier to break the illusions as well.
His chakra levels were through the roof, as was his chakra control. He had more than five times as much chakra as before! He was faster than Lee used to be, stronger too thanks to his seals, by a massive margin too.
He now bore an S rank bounty in the bingo books for 50, 000,000 ryo for Earth, Cloud and Sound countries for his over three hundred bounties collected.
He was a masterful Kage level ninja, a Solid S rank ninja with a focus in seals, healing, staff techniques and destructive ninjutsu, However, to be fair he was likely more powerful and weaker than he knew because he had never the chance to go all out. He needed more experience with powerful Ninja, massive battles and so on.
So now, in this time before Naruto returned to the Leaf, he had only one goal, one more dream that needed to be fulfilled...
He needed a damn summons jutsu. They were just far too useful, bar the stupid Toads who were disrespectful and rude to Naruto and generally unhelpful. He hoped against hope that he would have something better than them. He had asked Tsunade via Shizune, who he say every six months to make sure he was okay and to assess his medical skills, how to get ahold of a summons. This was not as hard as it sounded, you just had to reverse summon yourself and if there was a strong enough connection it would take you to that place in question.
So, right now, in the ruins of Whirlpool, he reversed the hand signs, offered his blood and smacked his hands against the ground and poof, he was gone.
He vanished, taken by smoke and chakra... appearing a moment later in a massive forest, filled with the ripe scent of chakra and living flesh.
"Hello!" He called out and there was no answer for a long moment... And then a giant tongue slammed into the ground before him, crushing it and ripping up a massive chunk of earth. "HELL!" HE flipped back, only to dodge six more tongues, each coming from a different direction. "I come in peace!" He called out, and the tongues stopped. "Thank you."
"Who are you?" A loud, deep voice asked.
"Shin Uzumaki... and I was hoping to sign a contract with someone."
"Hmm... our last summoner was Koza-
"Kubisaki?" Their voice went quiet. "You're chameleons, my brother saved Shiromari by destroying the contract."
There was a sigh. "And yet your chakra is near identical to Naruto's..." A massive chameleon appeared, half the size of Gamabunta, looking confused. "You look like him too..."
"I am a clone of his, don't ask it is complicated... well, hell, ask, I'll tell you whatever you want to know."
"Tell us everything, from your birth to now... all you are, all that made you who you are."
Taking a deep breath, that is exactly what Shin did. Weaving a tale from his creation, to being a monk and meeting Sora. He spoke of mastering healing, of losing Sora, of burying his ashes in countless places including Whirlpool. He spoke of his growing hatred of Orochimaru, of his resentment of those that mistreated Naruto, of his fear of the Akatsuki and their growing power. He spoke of his new powers, of mastering jutsu from Whirlpool, learning history and culture and jutsu. It took over an hour but by the time he finished fifty Chameleons of various shapes and sizes appeared, all looking at him curiously.
"So... what do you think?"
The main Chameleon, the one who asked him to tell his tale, moved to him. "My name is Tsubaki, I am the granddaughter of Shiromari. He was driven mad by being forced to remain as a castle... what do you promise, so this never happens to us?"
"I can only promise to never do this myself, to never force you to remain anywhere. I promise to release you and to never take advantage of you... to learn and give to you in equal measure..."
Tsubaki nodded. "Then I will agree to allow you to sign our contract, you too understand what it means to change yourself, to force yourself to adapt and change and become more... that is our specialty and that is yours." She slammed her claw against the ground and a scroll appeared in a swirl of smoke. "Sign this and you will become our summoner."
He happily did so and he felt the last vestiges of his Naruto identity fade away entirely, leaving only Shin Uzumaki in it's place. "Thank you... so... now what?"
The Chameleon smirked. " Now we battle, to determine your skill and to test your worth. To see what you can do." Tsubaki breathed in largely, before unleashing a thick mist that cloaked the entire clearing.
Twirling his staff, he banished the Mist entirely, but Tsubaki was already gone...
He dodged a blow, wiping around to grab the offending appendage and throw the entire form. Tsubaki grunted as he tossed her head over teakettle, she tightened herself just in time to be kicked hard in the face sending her skidding back. Breathing in, he unleashed a gale of fire, throwing out his hands to send a blast of wind that only bolstered the flames, creating an A rank fire jutsu that would turn most things into ash.
Water exploded into existence, dousing his flames and rushing towards him at blinding speeds. Tsubaki rode a wave, looking smug. "I am a master of water jutsu!"
Slamming his staff against the water, seals spread out, creating a barrier that would siphon chakra from anyone in or on the water. Tsubaki groaned and he laughed, blurring to deliver six more kicks, before hoping back and repeating, dashing to hit her once or twice and rushing back. Hitting her skin was like hitting a brick house, it hurt.
The battle would take twenty or thirty minutes before Tsubaki held out a claw. "You win... I am not a battle beast, few of us are... we are spies mostly, trap makers, barrier masters... genjutsu users. You are good child, and you will be greater with our aid."
Beaming he approached her and started to heal her bruises. "So... do you know sage mode?"
The Chameleon nodded. "We have one, alongside the Snakes, Toads, and a few others. You are strong, but it takes months to learn Sage mode... years sometimes. You have to prove your worth to us, only then will we allow you to try Sage mode. Now,... you will agree to teach our younglings some of your jutsu and in return we will teach you some stealth based jutsu. Sound fair?"
"Sounds awesome... starting with that Mist jutsu.'
"Not a problem."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was awesome, fun and exciting. Next chapter, he is back at the Leaf.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
