If Obito could rival Minato as a teen then Shin can be Kage level on his own at sixteen, he is not as powerful as Minato but still... he is working with no enhancements.

"Is that it?"

Shin, disgusted, asked Naruto after watching his fight with Kakashi. Sakura had done beautifully and she was more a medic than anything else. She demonstrated potent strength, a clever mind and decent strategy. Her taijutsu needed some work, she needed some speed, and her reflexes could use some work but she had spent more time learning evasion, super strength, and all things medical which were immeasurably intensive.

Naruto on the other hand was slow, just this shy of sloppy, with weak taijutsu and a continued reliance on shadow clones and the Rasengan. There was nothing new, creative or interesting. Naruto through power alone was maybe special jonin level... maybe. It was sad really...

Naruto gaped at him. "What do you mean, I kicked ass!"

"No you really didn't, you were mediocre. What did you do with the Pervert, you wasted your time is what you did."

Jiraiya, who was nearby, walked up. "We did no such thing, we-"

"Focused almost entirely on the Fox?" Naruto and Jiraiya both gasped, Tsunade sighed and Sakura jsut looked confused. Kakashi looked angry. "Yes, I know about the Fox, and no Naruto I do not care. At all... I am just disappointed, majorly... I guess I am going to have to train you to actually be a real threat... Your chakra control is still way behind, you have no interesting nin or taijutsu, no weapons, no seals... nothing that makes you stand out or a real threat. You're far, far too slow. I am disappointed, majorly... in you both actually, you and that idiot Jiraiya." Turning, he frowned at Jiraiya. " He knows no Toad jutsus, no combination ninjutsu, nothing like you or your remarkable powers. You taught the Fourth Hokage, even a lazy bum like Shikamaru would have been far, far more powerful with your proper tutelage. You ought to be ashamed. Naruto's father would be"

Growling, Jiraiya got close. "Listen here, Brat, you have no concept of my training or what Minato would have... wait, how do you know who-"

"I know many, many things. Some I just figured out honestly. Once I knew who Naruto's mother was, I figured out who his father was easily." And that was true, he and Naruto looked identical. Finding Old Bingo books and reading up on the history of various Ninja made it clear, they were the children of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage... and that oddly hurt and fel like nothing all at once.

"You know who my parents are?" Naruto barked out, catching them all off guard.

"Yeah, I do Naruto...everyone but Sakura here does. I'll tell you when I beat the Elite Jonin I am fighting today... speaking of, we ought to get over to the arena and watch as I kick."

Tsunade stepped forward. "Actually, Shin, I will be telling Naruto... and everyone else. We never should have masked the truth, not about so much... you can protect Naruto, you already vowed to keep him safe from the Akatsuki and you are extremely powerful. I know Naruto will grow powerful with your aid... " She turned to Jiraiya and killer intent flooded the clearing. "You have a lot to answer for, but first... time to watch a badass fight some A rank Ninja... well two A rank Ninja and two Low S rank ninja."

Smirking, Shin grabbed Naruto and Sakura by their arms, using the body flicker a few dozen times to reach the Chunin exams arena. To his pleasure, Guy, Kurenai, and Asuma were there with their teams. Ebisu was there as well, only he and his team were in the stands along with a few dozen chunin, jonin, and other officials.

Tsunade, who was a tad slow, appeared. "Do you like it? I thought you would want an audience. When it was clear that Naruto and Sakura were close to victory, I sent a clone ahead to collect some people to watch your victory."

Kurenai gaped. " Victory, two low S ranks and two A ranks... he stands no chance."

Asuma sighed. "Kurenai, I've seen him fight a few times, the kid is no joke... he is probably stronger than Lady Tsunade but weaker than Jiraiya. I think in terms of sheer taijutsu, is nearly as good as Guy is."

Kurenai frowned. "Really?"

"Yes... I am not looking forward to this ass beating."

Guy cheered loudly. "I am looking forward, let us show our youth!"

Laughing, Shin nodded towards Guy. "You always make me smile, Guy... let's do this."

The chunin teams split, moving into the stands while the jonin all fell into their own stances, low and powerful. Chakra filled the air, released from their potent bodies. He laughed at it, releasing his own chakra, cracking the ground and sending a shockwave so strong it made Kurenai step back, sending up a dust cloud.

Ino's skin ached, her chakra senses screaming at her. "So much power, even Lady Tsunade's chakra isn't this potent!"

Shikamaru frowned. "What is he?"

Neji turned to him. "He is quite touchy with his true identity, he will be very peeved with you if you do anything to discover his face... he is Naruto's kin, his clan member if that helps."

"He can do the Rasengan, like Naruto can... I wonder if they are really related."

"They did find him originally in a base of Orochimaru's," Neji replied.

"Hmm... who do you think will win?" Shikamaru asked.

Lee, Neji, and Tenten all replied. "Shin."

The other Chunin looked at them with a frown. "Really?" Kiba asked. " He can't be that strong, surely one of the jonin will beat him?"

Neji sighed. "He was strong enough to fight Lee, without his weights almost two years ago... and he has only had time to grow. I do not know much about him, but I do know he had a body county of over three hundred, many of which were bounty hunters, many coming in groups..."

They all gaped and turned to watch, just in time to see a massive cloud of fire explode from Shin's mouth.

"HOLY HELL!"

"Fire style, Great Fireball Jutsu!" Shin called out, not really needing to but feeling festive, breathing through the hole in his staff's ring like he was blowing bubbles. Wind chakra, rushing from his hands and into the staff, melded with the fire turning the C rank jutsu in a High A rank beast that seared the air, the ground and exploded into a massive cloud of fire.

Kakashi, the Ninjutsu user, ran through his hand signs at blinding speeds. "Water Wall!" And a massive wall of water exploded from his mouth smashing into the fire cloud, diminishing it's power by only half.

The other Jonin blasted away, to either side. Guy rushed him, slamming his leg out. "Dynamic entry!" He screamed, Shin blocked with his forearm and twisted his arm to throw the man away into Asuma who was approaching swiftly. Guy tried to stand, but a thousand seals exploded into existence around his leg, moving up his body and onto his face. He screamed as lightning chakra rushed through him, making him collapse and convulse.

"The real threat is down... time for fun."

Turning he slammed his foot into Kurenai, knocking her out of her genjutsu and sending her flying into the distance. Rushing through his own handsign, he let out a chakra-infused whistle, a simply jaunty tune. Before he knew it, Kurenai's eyes glazed over, only for a moment as Asuma interrupted him by slashing with his chakra knives. Shin blocked with his staff, infusing it with fire chakra for a tiny moment. The wind chakra oozing from Asuma's blades erupted into fire, forcing him to drop them in shock.

Stomping, he sent a surge of Earth chakra that sucked Asuma into the ground, just up to his shoulders. The man gaped before Shin leaned down and placed a finger on his forehead, placing a seal that easily knocked the man out and kept him down.

"CHIDORI!" Kakashi called out, rushing towards Shin with a narrow gaze.

Laughing he rushed right back, gathering chakra into his own palm. "RASENGAN"

The two jutsu met and in flash Kakashi flew back, slamming into the wall , dazed but not unconscious. " How do you know that jutsu?"

Shin reached up and pulled off his mask, both of them, hearing everyone gasp in shock. " Because I, once upon a time, was Naruto Uzumaki. I am his spiritual clone, and I wield his knowledge as well as my own. Now... shall we continue?"

Naruto gaped. "Spiritual clone? What the hell does that mean?"

Jiraiya turned to Tsunade, frowning. "You knew?"

"That he was Naruto's clone, yes. I have known for years... you threw Naruto down a canyon, barely taught him at all... you lost the right to know this secret a while ago, Jiraiya. If you were not protecting Naruto physically, I would have called Naruto back years ago. As I said, you have a lot to answer for... now watch."

"But Granny, how is he my clone?"

"It is very complicated, Naruto, but it has to do when you were bitten by that experiment of Orochimaru's at one of his bases. It broke off a piece of your soul that became him. He is his own person though, entirely and always, but that does not mean you are unconnected."

Kakashi was frustrated, every blow, kick, punch or whatever was easily blocked by the boy before him, his mocking Naruto like face a reminder of Minato which made everything that much worse. He hated it, he hated seeing the boredom, the blase attitude, the ruthlessness in the boy's gaze. It was colder than anything Naruto was capable of, meaner, more... just more actually.

Each blocked blow ached, the boy hit almost as hard as Guy just with his blocks alone. Kakashi knew he could never keep it up.

"You are as disappointing a fighter as you are a teacher, Kakashi... I am bored now." Chakra around the boy started growing and before he could react, the boy exploded into a volcano of wind that slammed and sliced everything, knocking Kakashi back into the wall where he just about passed out. He tried to move, only to freeze as powerful chakra bound him in place. " Seals, are an amazing thing, no wonder the Uzumaki's were so feared. "

And like that, the boy proved his worth.

Tsunade threw herself into the center of the arena. "As you have all seen, he is a clone of Naruto, stronger and smarter by far. I declare him a jonin of the Leaf for his service, and I declare him the Head of the Uzumaki clan as he is restarting it in the Leaf. He is an S rank Ninja and he is a Ninja of the Leaf!"

The arena erupted into applause, but Kakashi only noticed the disgust in Shin's eyes. The boy clearly disliked him and he had no bones about showing that dislike to the entire world.

This was a lot of fun. I adored writing it and I love the entire concept. He is not OP, there are people he would stand no chance against, and some people he would struggle with.
