Castiel continues to try to persuade Anael to accept that she belongs in Heaven and not in the bunker. Charlie becomes involved in a case involving a beleaguered librarian in Salina, Kansas.

John and Mary Winchester find themselves back from the dead with full knowledge of what their sons had been up to in their absence. Then the forgotten ones strike back with a vengeance. Takes place after Sam returns from the Cage. Not canon compliant.

Dean had figured he knew how his day was going to go. Do some research, hunt a little, maybe even go out for drinks afterward. He hadn't counted on taking part in someone else's quest for revenge, nor on Sam being held hostage to ensure that he would complete said revenge.
