I finished my own Original Story, it is entirely free and on Wattpad. Check it out, Destiny Rebellions- A Queen's Champion... if you love A Mortal's Might you'll love it. It was inspired heavily by that story and this one. Please check it out and tell me if you love it. I will be publishing it one day, so check it out before I pull it off of Wattpad.
Short and sweet but it does it's job.
Setting four clones to watch over Hinata, Naruto placed a seal on her to restrict her movement just to be sure. With that he walked into the more official part of their home, past their living room and into the training room as his mother had directed him. He saw scrolls, about a dozen of them, sealed onto the walls and shelves. There was tremendous knowledge in those scrolls on taijutsu and conditioning, speed training, chakra control for Uzumaki level ninja, on sealing so advanced it made the Hyuuga sealers look like little bitches, on kenjutsu and some ninjutsu including the Rasengan
In the center of the wall he saw his mother's sword, the Weapon that made her the Red Death. Benihime, the Crimson Princess, a gift from Mito Uzumaki when his mother's specialty became clear. His mother, a powerful S rank ninja stronger than the Sanin, and yet unknown out of a mixture of sexism and her time in ANBU, a master kenjutsu user better than any of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist by miles. Her sword could store and channel chakra to slow down healing, cause a horrible burning and other interesting effects all inspired by Kurama's powers since his mother could not use them in her lifetime. It was a glorious weapon and in truth, he wanted to use it more than Zabuza's blade... and so he would.
Placing it on his back, he sealed away the scrolls and marched out, content with himself.
Only to see that Hinata was awake and terrified. He walked over to her, kneeling. "What am I to do with you? I could just wipe clean your memories and send you off... but that feels cruel, doesn't it... why don't you tell me why you were following me, how you managed to find me and give me a reason to not wipe your mind."
Hinata shivered, terrified. "I...I... I was watching your apartment, I missed you... and I saw one of your clones carrying Mizuki so I followed him with my Byakugan. Please don't hurt my mind." She whispered.
"I don't want to, seal based mind jutsu are very risky but I do not know if I can trust you to protect my secret. No one can know that I was here."
Hinata exclaimed. "But I can keep your secret, I would never reveal your secrets... I... I love you Naruto."
Stunned, Naruto took a step back. "You love me? We've never had more than one or two conversations... how could you love me?"
"I've been watching you for years, I ... I admired your strength, your resilience... your passion... you never gave up, despite the world being against you... I... I fell hard and I fell fast. My family, my clan, they would not let me show anything, talk to you, help you... do you remember when you saved me, when those mean boys beat you up and-"
"Destroyed my scarf..." Naruto whispered.
Kushina sighed in his mind. " Naruto, seal her mind but offer to help her. I doubt she will ever be your lover, but you can help her. It is obvious that she has never been treated well by her monstrous family. Plus, it would be nice to end some of the sexism in the Leaf and help a girl do better. Help her to help herself."
Nodding, Naruto placed a hand on her forehead and seals spread out. " Hinata, I am going to help you. I will bind your mind, so that no one can take his information out and you cannot reveal it but you have to train. Prove to me that I cant trust you. You see gentle, so maybe train with Tsunade, or perhaps learn a sword or genjutsu, that is what Kurenai specializes in, right? Something, I expect you to be Jonin level by the time I return, you have around a year and a half to be strong. Hopefully as strong as Kurenai or Asuma. Prove to me that you can do great things,.. can you do that?"
She nodded. "I think so!"
"Then do that, and we will talk... but Hinata, I might never love you. I am not sure I even have the capacity to love like that. It is just a burden of my life... but I could do with a good friend, can you do that?"
Her teary eyes told a thousand stories but one was that he could trust her... and that meant a lot.

Naruto left the village that night, rushing back towards his base in Whirlpool, ready and excited to really get started. He had managed to steal or copy two dozen scrolls thanks to some interesting seals his mother taught him. He would gain so much knowledge, skill and power. He knew that by the time he returned to the Leaf, he would be stronger than any of the Sanin, strong enough to beat the bastard that killed his family, destroyed the Leaf and hurt Kurama...
And maybe he would gain a powerful friend and ally in Hinata. Who knew, right?
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a lot of fun to write.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
