Akihiko Kayaba was a genius of a man by all accounts. What most of those accounts didn't say was that he also grew incredibly bored without something to occupy himself with. So, naturally in the last few hours before the official release of Sword Art Online, he began a little project. He just hoped his last-minute AI didn't break the game too much. One-shot!

After the incident in ALO, Sugou thought that Kirito is the only thing that is troubling him, but unknown to him, Kirito, and Asuna, people from other dimensions were pissed as hell at whta Sugou did. As demonstrated by Christine and her owner, with the help of their friend, who decided to deal with Sugou themselves by putting the fear of God to Sugou.

Things went a little differently on that first day of the death game. Before Kayaba's announcement, Kirito had PKed another player. An action that permanently changed his cursor to orange. Now he's a criminal. The other players will hunt him down for that. The NPCs will refuse him service. He won't be able to trade with anyone anymore. He was completely alone now. Slight AU.

Tales of Aincrad is a retelling of the Aincrad arc that loosely follows the Progressive and canon timeline of events using original characters to explore different aspects of Aincrad. The story in this tale will be about Claire: A 22-year old otaku who becomes a blacksmith and bruiser in the game, contributing in the clearing progress and preventing deaths in her own way.

When a player heads into SAO to find the strongest object in the game, he leaks the game into the outside world. SAO becomes reality. Kirito and Asuna have to choose reality from virtual and stop the player. However, if they don't stop him fast enough, SAO will never return to the virtual headset and both worlds will collapse altogether...
