Unfortunately, it was the grumpy king who took up his suggestion to go find work in Hobbiton, not the two friendly princes Gandalf had specifically had in mind. A oneshot challenge between Vala 411 and I Plot: Escaping from discovery in Thranduil's palace and rescuing 13 grumpy dwarves is simple if you're a burglar. What could possibly go wrong? Minimum of 4000 words. [Cross-posted on AO3 and WattPad]

Summary: AU-Everyone Lives. A celebratory banquet to thank the allies of Erebor after the Battle of Five Armies goes slightly (very) awry. Maybe Thranduil shouldn't have commented that dwarves were just drunken ruffians…

Inari is a halfbreed from the north and she wants to join on the Quest of Erebor. However, as time goes on she notices that the Sons of Durin are hiding something.
