The dragon is dead. The dwarves are left in a mountain piled high with gold with the exception of Bilbo, Faedra, and Tara. Laketown is gone by the fires of Smaug. War is coming and there is little chance any will survive, even from the help of the Iron Hills and Mirkwood, though Faedra may have another trick up her sleeve surprising everyone yet again.
