I am back from not writing for almost two months, I was mostly occupied with the end of term exams but hey I came back!

Hope you like this DxD story I wrote up for you!

Beta'd by Everpeach

Swiping my hand at impressive speed, I almost managed to strike my target, though my knuckles hit nothing but air as the creature skillfully dived downward.

Of course, that was all part of my plan, my other hand came from down low catching it in its downward trajectory with an upwards swing.

I instantly realized something was wrong when a small light appeared a fraction of a second before impact, and not being able to stop the momentum from my own hand due to the surprise I ended up smacking myself in the face.

Of course, why wouldn't the Underworld have fucking teleporting mosquitos?

I could hear the bastard buzzing around me, knowing my luck the asshole had some form of intellect and was laughing at me.

Taking a deep breath for what must have been the eighth time since I 'arrived' here, I started thinking what I DO know through, an old habit that really helps me think logically.

I am currently in the Grigori, or more like a building owned by the organization, this, in turn, means that I am in the world known as Highschool DxD, the same one where most myths are real, and boobs power the world or something.

My name is Felix, or at least it is now, I can't remember much of my previous life, though I still know how to read, write and do math somehow despite not remembering the classes I took.

What I do remember is the fact that I was filling out a CYOA for fun before this happened, and the moment I finished doing so, I ended up in this situation.

With memories and powers extremely similar to the ones from the CYOA I filled out.

I could feel myself frowning with simmering rage, in the last two or so hours since I woke up and a seemingly normal looking woman told me Azazel would come soon. A lot of the shock has died down, being replaced with frustration and rage.

The reason is simple, I didn't make a CYOA to make me OP like I have done before, trying to find the perfect combination of skills that would allow me to fuck over any fandom.

No, of course, the one time I make a CYOA to make an interesting character I end up taking said character's body.

Fuck me!

I am literally human, in this world of dragons, devils and angels, I chose the human option! At least I have a great Sacred Gear even if it took all my initial points forcing me to take drawbacks to have more benefits.

Shit I could probably have been balls deep inside a devil maid by now if I had literally turned into any other of the CYOAs I made before, money, influence, power all given to me on a golden platter.

'Calm down Felix you can go punch a wall or something later' I chide myself, I won't get anywhere by complaining like a bitch, even if I would 100% have chosen to be a devil noble if I knew this was going to happen, at least I have some powers.

Besides, it wouldn't be smart to appear too unstable in front of the leader of the fallen angels.

Said man opened the door of the little room I was in, a quaint thing with a simple bed and desk and some chairs, one of which I was resting on.

I had felt him coming of course, a Cadre level fallen is like a literal star to my magic senses, impossible to miss really.

"Ah you must be Felix right? The secretary told me that was your name at least" The literally thousands of years old man (and wasn't that just disturbing in some odd instinctive way) had an easy smile, with slightly messy blond and black hair as well as a goatee.

He honestly didn't look that impressive all things considered, but appearances could be deceiving and all that, in this world even more than my previous one.

"That is my name yes, and I suppose you must be Azazel, you dress surprisingly modern for an -who knows how old- man" Really the man knew what he was doing, that was a great suit, probably expensive as fuck too.

"I do have some years under my belt, but I don't suppose you are here to talk about how old I am, yes? Oh and thank you for the compliment" He continued smiling sitting down in the chair in front of me as if he owned it, which he did.

"Honestly, I am mildly curious, but yeah, I don't suppose you could explain how I woke up here?" I can remember most of it, but I have a blank spot that has been irking me since I woke up.

"It would make sense that you wouldn't remember I suppose, you had a violent awakening after all, but sure I can explain," said the man lazily, but he had a focused look as if thinking through on how to tell what happened.

"I expect that you remember what you were doing in that forest?" He asked, getting a nod from me.

I was a member of the Sigurd Institution, the very same one which made freaks like Freed, Siegfried…and now myself.

The research organization had one simple purpose in its infancy. to create the one true heir of Sigurd, the not so fictional hero of legend, who in this universe killed Fafnir with his demonic sword Gram.

They actually succeeded quite quickly in my understanding, with my technical half-brother Siegfried, the battle maniac fuck wielded the giant demonic sword like a natural.

This easy early success meant that the institution quickly changed gears into creating as many descendants as possible, like some kind of clone army. Freed, Lint, Sigmund, and I were some of the most successful children, with the ones lacking talent being sent into other programs.

"I was doing a mission for the Sigurd Institution; someone had registered some low-level readings of demonic power near where the younger children rested, I was sent to clean up whichever low-class stray devil I found..." I said slowly, remembering once again what had happened.

I hadn't found a low-class stray devil at all.

"I see you remember most of it, well I have always believed that the short, sometimes hurtful truth was the best" Spoke the now serious looking Azazel, looking slightly grim.

I am not going to enjoy this aren't I?

"You were attacked by the lord of a minor devil noble house, Onukag Stolas, -or Lord Stolas as he was known- he and his servants attacked you at 5:45 PM two days ago, with the result being their brutal deaths at your hands" get fucked Now he was talking with almost no emotion, but my mind was focused on other things.

I knew I was attacked by a group of devils; their reasons are still unknown to me, but the guy who had this body before this managed himself incredibly well all things considered.

But there was such a thing as quantity over quality, and they were upwards of 20 devils trying to kill Felix.

The thing is, that I have no memory of winning that fight, only beating most of them before exhaustion started kicking in.

"You are one scary 14-year-old, you know that? Who would have thought that Annihilation Maker would be found on some random exorcist? Then again that is how Sacred Gears work" He continued with a chuckle, I think he was trying to fish for a reaction, but my expression didn't move much at all.

I had chosen Annihilation Maker as my Longinus after all, the gear that supposedly could destroy the world, it gave the user the ability to create all kinds of monsters using their imagination and creativity.

If I had known that I was going to Isekai I would have chosen Divine Dividing though…

Also, the fact that I am 14 again is downright creepy but whatever. better more years than less, I guess.

"The thing is, that minor noble was actually the closest relation to the extinct Stolas noble clan of the 72 pillars, not actually a member even if he used the name but close enough to have a variant of the original ability, with that ability being The Stillness" Azazel continued with a disappointed face at not getting a huge reaction, as he casually dropped the bomb.

I could feel myself frowning, a nasty frown, the type that made your ears hurt from the anger. It just had to be someone remotely important, didn't it? I couldn't have killed a random stray devil.

"Let me guess, my gear suddenly manifested and saved my ass? Also how do you know this? This was literally less than 5 kilometers away from the institution" I need to calm myself; I am getting more mentally tired from all my emotions.

I refused to let emotions rule me in front of Azazel right now, he may have been a 'good guy' in the anime, but I don't trust anyone that old, too much time NOT to learn how to trick and fuck someone over with the greatest of ease.

"The how is a trade secret kid, but the Grigori has its reputation as the most technologically advanced faction for a reason, and yes that is exactly what happened the result was pretty gruesome to put it lightly, you must have one crazy fucked up imagination." He said with a laugh at the beginning, as well as confirming what I thought.

Do sacred gears work like that? Felix was pretty beat up at the moment, is this my life now? where anime bullshit power ups when hurt are a thing?

"Do you have any recordings of the monsters in question? Also, how does one use a sacred gear?" I am incredibly curious what kind of monster someone can create when at the verge of death.

Azazel snorts at my second question. I suppose the most knowledgeable man when it comes to these things would find the question amusing.

"Here are the pictures, just as a warning they are kind of gory, the gear thing is really simple." He started taking some pictures from somewhere in a small flash of light.

If this body didn't come with some knowledge of magic I would have jumped out of my seat.

Seeing the pictures, I look at the creatures that 'I' created, they are... nonsensical like someone put a gallery of monsters in a blender and turned it upside down as a finished product.

I suppose it hits that uncanny valley quite nicely, but they don't seem efficient more bark than bite in their appearance, they were all quite different from each other, but they all shared the similarities of being a deep black in color as well as having a big pure white gem somewhere in their body.

"*snort* Get fucked" I chuckled when I saw the figure of what I now know was Lord Stolas only his head remained being mounted on the deformed horns of one of the monsters, serves him right for trying to jump me like that.

They must have taken the pictures after Felix ended up unconscious, seems my monsters remain even after I am knocked out, an incredibly powerful boon.

"Quite" Shares Azazel with a quick twitch of his lips "Now onto how to use your gear" he said with an excited look on his face, getting my full attention.

"First of all, what gear you have and what makes it, and by extension you, special" Azazel teased making me chuckle, I sure do feel special right fucking now.

"Your gear as I am sure you were taught in your institution is called Annihilation Maker, a Longinus and a top tier one at that, it wouldn't be a stretch to call it one of the greatest treasures a human can receive in this world" He sure likes to hype things up, the trainers at the Sigurd Institution made sure to cover the Longinus and multiple lower-tier gears as well.

There were a lot of them, more than I remembered from canon at least, but that could be due to the limitations of the original series' writing.

"Now luckily for you I have actually met a human with this exact gear before, twice actually, they were both extremely useful for the Grigori even if only one of them joined officially" Now isn't that curious, I wonder if any Longinus has a connection to a specific faction, like a deep one, probably at least one does.

"They described it very simply, unlike other Longinus you don't get a physical manifestation of your gear which is actually not that rare in Longinus and extremely common in lower tier gears, due to this, using it is more of a mental process, how about you think about molding clay?" He suggested after giving some trivia about gears.

I don't get a stupidly bulky red gauntlet or some cool wings, it is what it is.

I tried to think of molding a figure with clay, but in all honesty, I have never played with clay, at least I don't remember doing so with my memories being spotty at the moment and the previous Felix had a more militaristic childhood so there is no luck there.

So, I gave up on that idea and tried something different, took some classes in 3-D modeling, not anything crazy but I could already imagine myself working with a black blob.

That seemed to do the trick with something clicking on the back of my head.

The fact that I remember the classes that helped me with my gear is awfully convenient, so about an 80% chance an intelligent entity dropped me here for now and they seemingly fucked with my head, peachy.

"It seems by your face that you got it, what you are in right now is the creation process of the gear, it is different for each user, some imagine a forge, others a stone and a chisel, what in specific isn't important as long as it helps you visualize what you want" I suppose that makes sense, I know I wouldn't like a stone and a chisel that sounds boring as hell but he must have been from ancient age or something.

"Now gears are intuitive things at least for the basics, they were designed for humans to learn to use them by themselves after all, why don't you try building something in that head of yours, something small of course, and don't forget to add some mana while you are at it" He explained like a patient teacher, that is a funny thought, how many times has he needed to explain the basics of how to use a sacred gear to someone?

Focusing on that place in my mind that I have yet to name, I grab the blob giving it some kind of shape with my mind, before imagining tools to help improve the details, a texture here a softening of the features there, it isn't anything huge and just a copy of something that I am already familiar with so I end up with a really close image in my mind.

Something seems to click again once I feel that I am finished, like some kind of alert that I can move into the next stage which I think is filling it up with mana.

That was way easier than it had any right to be, does this gear have consciousness or something? That seemed awfully instinctual. I will REALLY need to check up on that later.

From within my opened palms something seems to form, like a black mist that grows denser and denser by the second getting some weight that compressed itself until the figure was revealed.

The whole process took around 30 seconds, which isn't bad considering I just created something but it would have to be shortened considerably before I would be comfortable creating in the middle of combat.

"Really? A pigeon, that is your first conscious creation?" Azazel deadpanned as the ebony bird, acted like a bird does (was that because I was thinking of one when I was creating) pecking under its wing.

When its head came back, I was surprised by the gasp of excitement that left Azazel.

"So, it is true, you have a sub-species!" He exclaimed dramatically, with a hand on his forehead pointing at me.

Is this dude mentally retarded? What is with this anime ass shit?

Oh, right I forgot.

"What do you mean? What is the difference?" I shouted trying to get his attention, with my bird monster chirping at him, flapping his wings.

Good boy, I am going to name him(?) Jeff.

"Look at his eyes you dumb brat, they aren't supposed to be that color, it's normally red, when the cameras showed the white gems, I wasn't sure if it was a trick of the light or if they were defective so I had to make sure," he said with that tone of voice people had when they just had a hunch come through, a special type of satisfaction that sticks to you for the rest of the day.

Okay so it's a different color so what?

"We also had some interesting energy reading on the area, a lot of light magic was cast there, more than we expect you would be able to dish out, no offense" I just waved the comment away too busy thinking the implications with a steadily growing smirk.

I had to prove this.

Looking at Jeff, he seems to get my message without me speaking, so there is a mental bond with my monsters? How far does it go and how complex can the orders be?

I have been in this world for like two hours and a half and my schedule is already filled with shit to investigate and do, some things never change I suppose.

Still, my avian comrade does exactly as I ordered, flying around the room a couple of times doing some neat tricks...

And then sniping the mosquito that had been annoying me with a tiny light magic laser, the bastard had no time to react with his body getting obliterated.

GET FUCKED

I started laughing loudly at the result, deep from my belly, it was cathartic in a way. I had been stressing the last couple of hours about my situation and this helped.

"So, your monsters seem to be naturally attuned to light magic? Is that a coincidence or due to your time in the Sigurd Institution? Does this mean that artificial or forced sub-species are possible?" He started mumbling getting into weirder and weirder questions, it was kind of annoying.

Without any order, Jeff shot his small eye laser ( I got a pigeon with lasers, how cool is that?) finding his mark on Azazel's temple. The old man comically fell down from his chair, but I could tell it had done jackshit.

It would have surprised me a lot if I had gotten so much as a scratch on him with that, he is too powerful for something of that level to work on him, hell it probably wouldn't have done anything if it landed on his eyes.

Still I raised an eyebrow at Jeff, does it pick up on my emotions? That is both good and bad, slowly but steadily the nature of the gear is unveiling but I am sure I haven't even scratched the surface.

"Sorry, sorry my mouth tends to run away from me when talking about gears, also keep a leash on your pigeon that one was a freebie but next time I am cooking squab" He says only half joking with some irritation but mainly curiosity as he stared at Jeff.

Jeff flapped his wings in outrage with a menacing cooing sound.

He understood that? How smart are the monsters I can make? shit the list of stuff I need to investigate only grows it seems.

"Okay so I am among the dozen or so lucky humans who won the Sacred Gear lottery, that is cool and all, but I remember you mentioning that the devil my monsters ripped apart was somewhat important?" I need to make sure this fiasco isn't going to bite me in the ass, who knows with devils.

"Well I wouldn't call him important, the Stolas noble house was actually one of the 72 pillars, but they have been extinct for hundreds of years due to inbreeding" He said casually, making me chuckle, guess they wanted to keep their trait in the family a little too much.

"Lord Stolas was a member of a branch family, that was a branch family of the original Stolas clan, his trait was nothing compared to the original item, his power was barely middle class despite being a lord" Azazel was painting me a picture of a truly pathetic devil, but I sense things aren't so simple.

"He actually wasn't too popular among devils from I have gathered, just another annoying noble with a sense of entitlement as big as the Underworld itself, nobody will mourn him and he was the last of his family" He continued, and some tiny hope that things would wrap up nicely surged inside me.

"The problem is that one of Stolas' servants managed to escape in the chaos that was your sacred gear awakening, if just barely. They managed to teleport away to the Underworld and communicate everything that had happened to one of the few nobles who were on speaking terms with Stolas before dying from their grave injuries" Only for that glimmer of hope to be destroyed by Azazel's next words.

I didn't even need to hear what he said next, I already knew what they intended, they were fucking devils.

"So right now, that devil noble has managed to convince other devil nobles, they want you to give up your life for 'Unjustly murdering one of their fellow nobles in cold blood' of course I am sure I don't have to tell you, that if they get what they wanted you won't stay dead for long" I could feel the headache pounding in my skull, I couldn't help but grit my teeth as familiar rage built up in my body.

They want me to just die?

"If they try to revive me to one of their little slave 'families' I will make sure to fill my body with holy grenades just to spite them when everything blows up to the heavens!" I shouted, I was capable of being extremely spiteful, I refuse to be some old ass devil's shiny new peerage piece.

The anime may have made peerages seem nice, but Rias Gremory is a soft bitch and slavery is still slavery no matter how fancy the collar is.

The tomato head girl may treat his slaves nicely, but at the end of the day, any relationship she may have with her 'family' will never be one of equals.

I see Azazel raising his palm signaling me to listen, I take a deep breath again, getting some of the hot rage out of my system, leaving mostly cold disgust behind.

I understand some of this rage, but I am not normally this prone to anger, is this due to Felix's past as an exorcist? The fact that he was created to wield a demonic sword or just his personality?

"Now now, things aren't too bad, one of my team was able to clean the mess up quickly, so there is no evidence that they can use against you, the problem is that devil nobles rarely need evidence or reason to act, just see the Nekoshou as an example" Explained Azazel in a soothing manner, but the last part made me tense again.

The Nekoshou, how could I forget, an entire race of youkai got murdered due to one of them apparently going crazy and killing their king, people in fanfiction always seemed to just ignore the fact that the Nekoshou's were genocided with none of the Satans being either willing or able to stop it.

At best they play it for jokes, with Kuroka being horny and shit. I actually am not even sure if that is just fanon, or something that actually happened, it is real now at least it seems.

"Honestly I think, that as long as you have a faction backing you up, they should pull back since they don't actually have anything to stick to you, it would only worsen the Devil Faction's already poor image even further" He started finally talking about what I thought he would since I saw him enter the room.

"Azazel" I interrupted him as he started talking about the different factions that could help me "Look you have been nice enough since we started this conversation, so would you cut the shit?" I said with narrowed eyes, making Azazel raise an amused eyebrow.

"There is no reason to speak of the different factions is there? you want me to join the Grigori obviously just tell me that directly" Besides I wouldn't trust any opinion that Azazel has about the other factions, they are bound to be biased.

He may act like a nice guy, and even be so, but he also has been the leader of a faction of his own race for thousands of years, he just has too much riding on the Grigori to not be at least subconsciously biased.

Azazel shrugged with a chuckle not even a little ashamed, I would have done the same in his position so I am not mad or anything stupid like that.

"Yeah that I do, the Grigori prides itself for its capability for recruiting young talents you know? I would give you my normal sales pitch, but I don't think you would find it useful" He seems like a nice guy, all things considered, then again he was probably the most efficient leader out of the three biblical factions.

The difference in age between him and Michael is negligible and the New Satans are practically kids compared to him, that isn't even an insult they are literally like only 500 to 600 years old to my understanding, Azazel probably has more than four times that age, at least.

Age doesn't directly mean being a better leader but Azazel's pool of experience is simply better than his devil counterparts, and Michael is held back by his angel nature.

Also fuck getting a sales pitch, those are as annoying as having a rock in your shoe that you can't get out.

"How about we skip the flowery language and you tell me what the Grigori can offer me, what you would want from me, and I tell you what I want from the Grigori, we can even write up a neat little contract to make it official." I explain in what I think is a reasonable manner.

There is no way I am joining the devil faction, even if I could probably make a deal with Sirzechs and end up in Rias' peerage there are too many downsides.

First of all I am no slave, and secondly, it would stunt my growth, choosing the option that keeps me close to canon is for pussies, why the fuck would I live a life that is already scripted? that is downright stupid I would rather blow my own brains than have my fate be held in the hands of fucking Issei of all people.

Heaven also is out of the question, I was born in a Christian household in my past life, I think I even went to church regularly but there is one important detail.

The God from this universe is not only dead, but he isn't even MY God, all gods seem to be 'humanized' in DxD for a lack of a better word, they act like you expect a human too.

That and the fact that I refuse to limit my desires and growth for an institution of HUMANS means that Heaven and Church are out of the question as well.

But Azazel doesn't know this, he probably thinks that I at the very least have the church as an option, which means that I should negotiate as much as I can.

"Well first of all the Grigori is widely considered to be one of, if not the most human friendly faction in the supernatural world, we have a more business focused mentally, which means we contract humans without expecting them to be particularly loyal to the Grigori itself" he explained which made sense from what I remember from canon.

Though I do wonder how much of that hospitality is caused by their small population feeling threatened by the devils converting humans into more devils.

"You being a Longinus wielder of course will be in a different position, normal humans don't deal with me personally after all," he said with a chuckle that I shared.

Life could be unfair like that, but it currently benefited me so the other humans could go fuck themselves.

"You aren't the only Longinus wielder in the Grigori, not even the only one in this building, they enjoy privileges like free housing, with the option of having a house built in the human world or Underworld if you want, free food, access to high class training areas and instructors as well as tutors from a variety of races, who are willing to teach from simple mundane knowledge like math and history to esoteric magics" well now, was it any wonder Vali was considered the strongest White Dragon Emperor? he not only had the pedigree but the training, if Issei didn't have protagonist luck I would almost call it unfair.

Before Azazel could continue tempting me with what he would be willing to give me, a woman barged into the room, this one was clearly supernatural, those tits proved it.

"Mr. Azazel! Vice-Governor Shemhazai and CEO of the Bounty Hunting Department Kokabiel have arrived! the rest of the Cadres were either too busy or uninterested" shouted the curvy fallen, not even paying attention to the fact that I am here.

Also Kokabiel huh? One of the main detracting points against joining the Grigori is in the same building as me… how nice.

"Sahaqiel, please knock first. I am with a guest, also Kokabiel? He never comes to this kind of stuff" sighed Azazel with a confused tone, meanwhile the hot fallen girl stuffed into a too-small secretary uniform looked around the room quickly finding me and sending me a friendly wave.

I snorted, returning the wave calmly.

"Well Azazel it seems duty is calling you, how about you deal with whatever mess you have too, while I go and eat something I am starving, also you wouldn't happen to have been able to retrieve my suitcase from the scene would you?" I literally had all my weapons inside it except my pistols, and I woke up without them so I am currently completely unarmed.

"Here is your suitcase, it had some damage but nothing I couldn't fix up in a few minutes" Azazel passed me the suitcase from his hammerspace, and I instantly felt more comfortable as I grabbed it.

"What about my revolvers?" I ask as I open the suitcase on a desk in the room, it is enchanted, of course, to be bigger on the inside, let's see, 10 holy hand grenades check, 15 bottles of holy water check, holy toothpaste check, exorcist sword…check.

"Oh, those? they were completely destroyed by your own monsters, pretty sure one of them stomped on them" the answer made me wince, even as I pulled out my enchanted holy Tommy gun making sure everything was right with it, damn those revolvers were my favorites.

"Luckily for you I am familiar with the model being the creator and all that, so I was easily able to get you some replacements, I even improved them a little for you, free of cost of course" I tried very hard to keep the excitement out of my face as he took the holsters and guns out of his hammerspace (I really need to learn that, shame it is harder for humans to do, fuck math) even if they looked just like my previous pair.

The message he sent me with this gesture was fucking obvious, these are the benefits of joining the Grigori, resources, equipment access to the latest improvements in technology all of this would much easier to obtain with the Grigori, Church equipment is mostly standardized and most devils would feel uncomfortable selling holy guns to a human they have no control over.

It was tempting, I wasn't going to lie, it isn't like I had any intention of being factionless, even if I could probably pull off a disappearing act, the Sigurd Institution's training is no joke and the beaches of Brazil are very nice this time of year.

So I simply admired my two new revolvers, they were a rare model, considered unwieldy due to their recoil, but it isn't like Felix wasn't considerably stronger than the average man.

Their most notorious trait was their double barrels and eight chambers, they were capable of shooting two shots at once, the design clashed with the Church's minimalistic and streamlined approach to weaponry, the guns were mostly black with golden roses added throughout the barrel and frame, the only exception being the grip panels which had the image of Virgin Mary on them.

"Well I gotta go, those two get cranky when I keep them waiting for two long" spoke Azazel standing up, as I pulled everything back into my suitcase and holstered my two revolvers.

"Why don't you go get something to eat, my treat, Sahaqiel, why don't you guide Felix over here to the food court?" Sahaqiel nodded with a smile as Azazel passed what seemed like an identification card, inspecting it I was able to tell that it basically signaled me as a host of the Grigori.

Wait a minute this place has a food court?

The building was interesting, I am not going to make too many assumptions but it seems like the fallen have implemented human architecture aesthetics into their culture, or maybe it was the other way around? still, the building looked similar to any you would find in a modern metropolis, using whites blacks and grays.

The art placed among the walls certainly helped in not making it too boring on the eyes.

I looked out of place too, my priest robes clashed with the formal suits that I saw the fallen wearing as they walked around me, are they dressed like that because of the importance of the building I am currently on, or is it a cultural choice?

Didn't change the fact that I was dressed like Freed did in the anime, I even looked like him, but given the fact that we were technically brothers that would be a given.

"So Sehaqiel tell me is there anything good in this food court?" I asked the curvy woman, more out of boredom than anything else, I had been locked in that room waiting for hours with just my thoughts I was antsy to get moving or shoot something/someone

"Well the Grigori has implemented many human restaurant chains into its building recently, the place that sells Mexican food is pretty good! Also, has anyone told you that you smell really nice!" recommended the girl with a smile and a compliment, an enchilada sounds pretty good right now.

Did I waste points on a perk that made supernatural women really like how I smell? Yes, I did, I am a horny idiot, I literally had to take a drawback to afford it.

I continued walking through to my destination while sharing idle conversation with Sehaqiel, all the time I was thinking what I could ask of Azazel, I do want a home for myself.

I remember what he built for Issei in the anime. I want a mansion too. Still, there are more important things to ask first, the abilities I chose lend themselves to copying other races' powers, Annihilation Maker being only one part of my tool kit that could allow me to do that.

Further thoughts of my near future living in an incredibly expensive and luxurious manor were sadly driven out of my mind once I felt someone bump their shoulder against my own as they walked past.

Hard.

"Watch where you walking" came from the person, looking at them I was able to see they were actually almost a head shorter than me, though considering that I was a genetically engineered human, based on a Germanic hero of legend, well I am tall for my age.

Looking at the little fuck who bumped into me on purpose (I have literally years of training as a fucking devil and monster hunter, I tried to dodge only for the bastard to make sure we connected), I feel something similar to nostalgia when I behold the pre-teen in front of me.

Light silver hair, almost white, hazel eyes, wearing a black leather jacket and pants, he had what one could call a punk or rebel attire with the leather straps around his clothing.

"Go fuck yourself, you albino midget, Count Fagula called, he wants his clothes back" I sneered (completely ignoring that our hair color was pretty similar), like I would let some random kid, just shoulder check me and get away with it, I know I am a confrontational person, in both lives, and the bad mood from before is steadily returning.

Sahaqiel is looking quite nervous now, poor girl, but I am not backing down.

"Vali, I feel a Sacred Gear on this one, a strong one" A deep voice came from behind the kid, startling me slightly.

The kid, which I just now realized is Vali fucking Lucifer, or at least the pre-teen version suddenly seems much more interested in me.

"Is that so? Which one?" questioned the literal great-grandson of the prince of lies himself.

I currently have other problems going on. I picked a lot of benefits from the CYOA, Annihilation Maker, and talent on par with Siegfried's with the sword when it came to using ranged weaponry, only part of them.

That meant I had to take drawbacks, and I of course not knowing better chose what I thought would be a 'cool' drawback, for an honestly meager amount of extra points I, without realizing it at the moment, gave myself an obsession on par in strength with Issei's obsession with boobs or Azazel's with Sacred Gears.

"Look at his shoulder, Annihilation Maker users are always interesting, though that one looks odd, a sub-species perhaps" Continued the voice, and I could now see a faint blue light coming out of Vali's back, as the half-devil smirked as he saw Jeff on my shoulder, who was looking at him as menacingly as a pigeon could.

"You! fight me!" demanded the dumb fuck, raising an eyebrow when he saw my expression, gritted teeth, and veins throbbing on my forehead, my obsession was exceedingly simple, I really, REALLY enjoyed hunting rare creatures.

One may ask then why didn't it trigger with Azazel? He definitely qualifies but luckily for my continued health, the obsession follows some rules. My desire is almost instinctual, animalistic even.

And would a wolf try to hunt an elephant? What about the sun? Of course not, it is impossible, nonsensical, and downright bizarre.

And it is exactly because of that reason, that my obsession didn't trigger with Azazel, my mind conscious and subconscious understands that I don't stand a chance in a fight with Azazel… yet

But Vali? he was young now, I could feel his demonic power, it isn't low in any way, but it isn't crazy either at least for what he could achieve once he grew up some more, he also probably was inexperienced, this paired with the fact that he was a direct descendant from THE Lucifer as well as the White Dragon Emperor made it so my obsession was blurring like an alarm.

"Fuck it, show me to where you want to do this," I said sounding calmer than I was, whatever this obsession can be ignored slightly and I have a lot of anger about this… situation in general, getting sent to this shit world left me in a bad mood, even if things aren't looking too bad.

Besides it was probably a good idea to see how I stacked up with Azazel's surrogate child, he should be a decent benchmark.

Sahaqiel was now in a full blown panic, but I simply followed the smirking Vali into one of the training arenas as she ran to the direction we had been coming from.

(POV: Azazel)

"So this is the kid, huh?" Shemhazai said as he looked through the documents Azazel had given his fellow Cadre once again.

It was standard procedure, when a talent with considerable potential was on the recruitment list or just recruited, Azazel made sure to inform his fellow Cadre, it kept the waters clean so to say.

No need to have unnecessary tension build if his fellow Cadre suddenly discovered that Azazel had recruited a Longinus wielder in secret, that would just be dumb.

"Another human with a Longinus? you have gotten lucky these last few years Azazel" snorted Kokabiel, his brother was using one hand to rest his head against, he looked quite bored.

Of course he was, Kokabiel was the most violent Cadre by a WIDE margin, even being the head of the Bounty Hunting Department wasn't enough for him at times.

This exposition Azazel did was kind of an open invitation for the Cadre, they could come if they wanted to, though most times they were busy or just didn't care.

This was the first time Kokabiel had come to a meeting like this in decades.

Still, Azazel nodded, this generation was proving to be quite interesting, he had a feeling it wasn't only the Grigori who had gotten such intriguing recruits, the rumors of the super exorcist from the Church had reached his ears recently, though he lacked more information at the moment.

"What are your thoughts on the child's mental state? Is he somewhat stable?" questioned Shemhazai, a reasonable question, those with sacred gears (and power in general) had a tendency to be quite…odd

"He seems mostly fine, he has a healthy libido at least!" Azazel had obviously caught the kid staring at Sahaqiel's rack, it was quite easy for someone like him to recognize a fellow pervert.

Not that he blamed him, he had chosen Sahaqiel as his secretary due to that rack.

"Though If I had to say something, he seems… well not quite sociopathic he seems pretty capable of expressing and understanding emotions, but he showed a quite clear lack of empathy toward those he killed" Azazel understood not feeling guilty about killing Lord Stolas, devil nobles were some of the most annoying people Azazel had met in his long life.

But honestly, most of the other devils Felix killed were just low class servants that were forced to follow their probably deranged lord to their mostly slow and painful deaths.

Azazel wondered how much of Felix's attitude was due to the Sigurd Institution's genetic modifications and how much due to whatever they taught the kids in that place.

Some may ask how Azazel was able to get such information from a 'secret' institution. Azazel would answer those people by acting like a lecherous pervert making them forget they had asked such questions while calling the one that asked an idiot inside his head.

Not like the Sigurd Institution was all that secret if an inbred moron like Lord Stolas managed to find it.

"So what? not like that is the worst we have recruited, though I must say for a human I am impressed" chuckled Kokabiel, looking through the pictures of the massacre, it was quite gory, but compared to the kind of things the three fallen had witnessed in their lives it was nothing special.

"The problem Kokabiel is that we don't want to risk having a crazy person or a human supremacist around" Azazel had dealt with too many of those types from all races, youkai, fallen, devils, humans, and especially vampires, they all had their bad eggs, that understanding was one that Azazel was ashamed took so long to settle in his brain.

Before Kokabiel could continue their argument, a frantic knocking was heard on the door, the meeting room was actually deeply warded, which meant that anyone who would be able to actually knock on that door was someone Azazel had given them permission to.

"Mr. Azazel! Mr. Azazel! you need to hear this!" came the voice of Azazel's secretary Sahaqiel.

Azazel opened the door with a lazy wave of his hand, Sahaqiel dropped to the ground seemingly having pressed herself to the door before it was opened.

"Sahaqiel, did you forget that you could fly?" Shemhazai questioned with a raised eyebrow, the ceilings in most supernatural factions were quite tall to allow for just that after all.

"And the fact that I gave you a device to communicate with me directly" sighed Azazel, he supposed picking the hottest girl as his secretary couldn't come with only benefits.

Sahaqiel touched her ear, feeling the device she had been given months ago, before blushing in embarrassment.

"Wait Sir, that isn't important! Vali is fighting!" she quickly spits out making Azazel give her a blank expression, that kid was always picking up a fight.

"And he is fighting the new recruit Felix!" she continued making Azazel facepalm, of. fucking. course

Battle maniacs are such a pain in the ass.

"Not three hours since he woke up and he's already fighting someone?" questioned Kokabiel with an amused grin.

He made a good point though, Felix better not turn into another little shit that needed constant surveillance Vali was more than a handful.

"Ugh I will check it out, make sure the kids don't kill each other or something" said Azazel in an irritated expression.

"Mhm I think I will be going to, lets see how the two Longinus brats do?" Kokabiel said with a teasing tone.

In reality, he was so fucking bored that he would be willing to watch some human brats fight for entertainment.

Azazel just rolled his eyes, for someone thousands of years old his brother was easy to read at times.

Now to make sure his newest (potential) recruit didn't blow himself up or something equally as stupid.

And that is the first chapter! First of all the fic is a crossover, mainly due to one of the drawbacks the mc took, which fandom will end up mixing with DxD will be clear next chapter.

I used multiple DxD CYOAs to build Felix, since honestly most of them had some whack prices at some point. Like that smell-good trait he got? Worth one-fifth of his starting points!

Anyways the mc has one of the most creative gears out there feel free to recommend monsters for Felix to make, can be inspired on different series or creations of your own!
