Chapter 31
Forest of Death
"...Fireball Jutsu!"
Naruto wasted no time and charges at Sasuke with his Juuni-Te out and his Shinkeigan active. But before Naruto could get any closer, Sasuke breathed out flames from his mouth, performing his Fireball Jutsu. Naruto quickly skid under the flames, and to his surprise felt not heat from the fire over him. But with Sasuke fighting him, he had to focus and subdue Sasuke and figure how to get him back to his senses. He commands the Juuni-Te to strike Sasuke's pain points, but the Uchiha blocks them when he swiftly pulls out a pair of kunai and starts fighting off the tendrils.
And while Sasuke is busy fending off the Juuni-Te tendrils, Naruto silently performed Shadow Clone Jutsu so gain back up to assist him. The clones charge in their Shinkei no ken stances and all start to aim at Sasuke's pain points on his body. Sasuke starts to notice the clones and breathes out fire from his mouth, catching them before they could get any near.

The clones explode into smoke, which Naruto uses to catch Sasuke by surprise, Naruto swiftly aims at Sasuke's pain points located on his shoulders, arms and throat so that he can disarm him and prevent his next attempt of using the Fireball Jutsu. Sasuke suddenly feels the pain throbbing at the areas Naruto struck him, he is finding it hard to breathe as it hurts to draw breath. But Sasuke carries on and learns to ignore the pain, cracking his knuckles and wrists to distract him and pushes on after Naruto.
Sasuke swings his kunai at Naruto, but the swipes are evaded by the blonde as the young shinobi of lust watches carefully at those diamond shaped blades coming at him. Naruto reaches for his pouch to grab a kunai, but before he could, Sasuke quickly pulls out a shuriken and tosses it at his reaching arm.
"Gah!" said Naruto in pain when the shuriken is lodged in his arm, spilling his pink blood. Naruto looks back in anger at Sasuke, causing his Juuni-Te to go at the Uchiha and forcing him back. But Sasuke doesn't back off, instead he fights off the tendrils so that he can go at Naruto with the intent to kill.
Naruto is starting to panic now, for Sasuke is exactly intended to kill him when he sees the kunai aiming for his heart. But before the kunai could reach him, the wings on Naruto's back starts to fold over him and blocks the kunai.
CLANG
The blade bounces off from the wings, as it didn't even leave a mark on them. This surprised both Sasuke and Naruto when his winds folded by survival instinct just saved his life. Seeing Sasuke stagger, Naruto wasted no time charging in and tackling the Uchiha to the ground.
Naruto held Sasuke down while grabbing his wrists, slamming them to the ground to that he can disarm him of the kunai. Sasuke tries to struggle but Naruto's hold is strong, then he can feel his throat getting better and starts spewing fire at Naruto in point-blank range. Sakura saw this in shock and screams out from beneath the tree roots.
"NARUTO!"
Sasuke has finished spewing out the flames from his mouth and starts laughing in triumph, for no one can survive the Fireball Jutsu this close, and Naruto just foolish get close enough to give Sasuke the killing blow.
"HA, HA, HA, you utter fool!" said Sasuke "I must thank you for giving me this oppotunity to kill you."
The smoke over Sasuke starts to fade away, only to see Naruto unharmed from the flames, but it did burn his jacket and shirt, exposing his sexy demon red chest which Sakura immediately blushed from the sight of it.
"Oh Kami in heaven, why is he so DAMN HOT! Thought Sakura when she keeled over and fell on the ground with blood gushing out from her nose. The sexy image of Naruto in this "Sexy Demon" form, completely topless is now forever burned in her eyes.
Sasuke is completely shocked by this and snarled in anger, he lifts his legs and kicked Naruto off so that he can recover.
"HOW? HOW DID YOU SURVIVE THAT?!" exclaimed Sasuke
"To be honest with you, I have no idea" said Naruto as he looked at himself, bearing now burns on his body and completely shocked by this. I know Kyuu-chan could not be thi quick to save me from the flames. So how did I survive a point blank range to Sasuke's Fireball Jutsu?
All will be explained, my dear avatar. But quickly, you are running out of Lust if you keep this up any longer.
This form, is powered by lust? Thought Naruto before he looks up at Sasuke
"Sorry to disappoint, but I do not have any time to waste" said Naruto when suddenly his wings unfold and spreads out on display. "Don't know how I gotten myself like this, but I will use it to stop you."
"Stop me? Me, a proud member of the great Uchiha Clan, stopped by a pathetic man-whore like you?" said Sasuke when the markings start to grow and cover most of his body. "DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!"
Sasuke has completely lost it, he charges with murderous intention against Naruto as he pulls out another kunai from his pouch and rushes for the kill. As Naruto gets ready for Sasuke, he is suddenly being aided by unexpected allies. Sasuke is immediately chained up when a pair of kusari-fundo were thrown down and coils around the cursed Uchiha.
"N-Nani!" said Sasuke when the chains of the Kusari-fundo is wrapped around, binding him in place. "What trickery is this?"
"My trickery!"
Suddenly Tenten and Neji leapt down and both stood by Naruto's side, Tenten looked at Naruto and suddenly blushed at how sexy he is in that unusual form he is in.
"Naruto...is that you?" said Tenten "Damn you look hot"
"Tenten, please focus" said Neji calling out to his teammate. "Explain, Uzumaki"
"Long story short, Orochimaru cursed Sasuke, Teme went insane by fogeign chakra" said Naruto "And you're arrival is perfectly times, Neji"
"Why is that?" said Neji
"I need you to shut off Sasuke's chakra flow where his neck is" said Naruto "Not sure if it works but I need you to cut off the flow so that the cursed seal goes off."
"Are you sure about this?" said Neji who is unsure.
"GAH!" Sasuke roared in anger and the sound of straining coming from the chains, this causes Tenten to mutter out curses.
"Neji, just hurry" said Tenten "We con't know how long those chains can hold him."
"...fine" said Neji as he rushes off to Sasuke while activating his Byakugan. What Neji saw shocked him, he can see corruption within Sasuke's Chakra system, like a poison or a terrible infection thats been left too long without treatment. Wasting no time, he uses his Juken style to jabs the chakra points on the base of Sasuke's neck and cuts off the flow.
The result however is quite surprising when Sasuke starts to jerk and and contort in a mixture of agony and anger, as if he is on the very of being exorcised by a temple monk. Neji kept his distance and winces when the corrupted chakra starts to flare out in his vision, making it heard for to bear the sight and turns away, out of fear being blinded.
"I think...we made it worse" said Neji
"Shut down his chakra flow completely, starve it!" said Naruto
"Fine, but you owe for this, Uzumaki" said Neji as he hesitantly rushes in at Sasuke, trying to withstand the violent burst of Sasuke's corrupted chakra which he can see. Naruto and Tenten see the marking glow burning red Sasuke's skin while it spreads over until he is completely covered by these marks. Sasuke gave out a terrifying primal roar as he tries to break out from the chains binding him. "Kuso, I have never seen this much intense chakra in my entire life."
Regardless, Neji did his work on Sasuke and turned off his Chakra points in the hopes to stop this terrifying madness. He performed the hyuuga clan's Eight Trigrams: Sixty-four palms technique on Sasuke to immediately shut off Sasuke's chakra supply completely, albiet temporary but enough to starve off the cursed seal of any chakra it's leeching off from the Uchiha.
The process may seem hopeless at first, but suddenly the results show progress when the malevolent flow of the corrupted chakra is starting to die out. However, Sasuke gave it his all and the chakra flow starts to overwhelm Neji and finally breaks out from the chains. The chains bursts out and some of the broken links ends up getting lodged into Neji, but nothing vital but on his arms and side.
"Gah!" said Neji when he was caught by surprise when the chains explode of Sasuke and a few broken links are now lodged on him. While he winces in pain, he fails to notice Sasuke approach him before it was too late, getting a punch to the face and sending him flying towards the trees and crashed into one.
"Neji!" said Tenten in shock after seeing Neji crashing into a tree and then turns to see Sasuke dangerously approaching her and Naruto.
"How dare you interrupting our fight" said Sasuke in a low and dangerous tone, his sharingan active eyes leers at the kunoichi in pure anger. "You will pay for this."
Tenten suddenly felt afraid of Sasuke for she can feel the murderous intention from him, but Naruto suddenly stands in front of her, to protect her from Sasuke.
"You leave Tenten out of this, it's you want" said Naruto
"Exactly, and she got in the way" said Sasuke "Typical, you just couldn't help but have bloody women be around you."
"Wow, don't tell me you're jealous of them, Sasuke." Said Naruto as he finds this rather amusing. "Sorry, teme but you're not my type"
"Very amusing, but it wouldn't matter when I kill you"
"Sasuke, I'm warning you" said Naruto "If you don't stop, I will have no choice but to do this"
"Then waht are you waiting for" said Sasuke "Is being chunnin so important than concluding our rivalry?"
"This isn't rivalry"
"You're right, I am FAR superior to you to even consider you a rival." Said Sasuke before he charges at Naruto "You're nothing but a steeping stone to trod on my quest for revenge. By killing you, I will be strong enough to kill taht bastard who massacred my clan!"
Damn it, he's lost it thought Naruto I don't want to do this, I'm sorry Sakura but Sasuke has to die.
Naruto charges at Sasuke, now with the intent to kill. He doesn't want to do this but it is clear that there is reasoning with Sasuke and he has no other choice or he'll remain as a threat not just him, but to Sakura and the others in Konoha.
Sakura noticed this and widen her eyes to see that Naruto going for the killing blow at Sasuke, she immediately rushes out from the tree roots and makes her way towards Sasuke, she jumps in to tackle him, making both Sasuke and Naruto miss their killing blows at one another as she is now holding Sasuke down from behind. Sasuke, enraged by this, turns to see who dares interrupt him again. But as he look over his shoulder with an angry leer with his Sharingan still active, all he meet is with a pair of pleading crying pair of green eyes.
"Sasuke-kun, please stop. Stop this"
Naruto is shocked by this and was about to tell Sakura to get away for he doesn't know if Sasuke might attack her too. But he suddenly noticed that Sasuke is not moving at all, only looking at Sakura. Confused at first but suddenly he noticed the markings around Sasuke's skin is starting to fade away. This surprised Naruto, has Sakura goton hold of Sasuke finally?
Naruto remains silent and hoped that would be the case, but if there is any signs of agrression he will have no choice but to intervene. Fortunately that is no longer the case as the marks are finally gone. The darkness has no longer have its hold on the Uchiha, for the remaining piece of his pure humanity left has heard Sakura pleading him to stop the madness. Calming down and regaining his thoughts, Sasuke looked away and hung his head down, his eyes turn back to it's normal black colour when he deactivates his Sharingan. He closed his eyes and allows the calm, along with the soft warmth of Sakura soothe him. He remainds there for a time, meaning that Naruto can relax and drop down to his knees from exhaustion as he also returns to normal.
"Thank Kami, it's over" said Naruto as he leans back and sighs in relief. He then looks down at Sasuke, hesitant to speak but he needs to be sure if his teammate regained is senses and sanity. "Are you with us, teme?"
"Hai, hai i'm with ya" said Sasuke with his head still down. "Listen, about waht I said."
"Don't worry about it" said Naruto "all that matters that we're fine. We'll discuss it after the exams"
"Hai..." said Sasuke as he remains still on the floor, he can still Sakura still hugging him and hearing her sob into his back. He doesn't say anything as it is clear that what happened to him scared Sakura completely. Not just scared of him, but for him also. "What of the Oto nin?"
"They fled, that cursed seal Orochimaru gave you scared them off" said Naruto
"Cursed seal?" said Sasuke looking up at Naruto, so does Sakura as remembers that Naruto knows something about the mark on Sasuke's neck.
"Naruto, what did Orochimaru do to Sasuke."
Naruto sighed as he rub the back of his neck as he is hesitant to talk about it.
"It is not a pleasent topic which Anko-chan doesn't want to talk about" said Naruto "But to put it simply, it is a forbidden jutsu."
"A forbidden jutsu?" said Sakura
"Hai, it was designed to enhance the user of it's strength and flow of chakra...but it comes with a terrible price." Said Naruto "Plus, it is not as simple of getting this for the survival rate from getting is dangerously low."
"H-How does Anko know about this?" said Sakura
"It is because she has got one branded on her neck" said Naruto frowning sadly. "She survived obviously, but the mark is flawed so she is...somewhat mentally stable. I mean she's still a sadist but that's just her."
"of course" said Sasuke and Sakura with a sweatdrop for they are aware of Anko's reputation. "But if she survived from the branding, then she must know how to control it."
"Sadly no, she doesn't" said Naruto "As I said, the mark on her is flawed. And even if it's not, I doubt she wanted to do anything so...evil given to her by that Snake."
"We need to inform about this to the Hokage" said Sakura
"No, Sakura" said Sasuke "Mark or no, I must pass the exams and become a chunnin."
"Sakura has a point, Sasuke" said Naruto "It's too dangerous to ignore something such as Orochimaru being in Konoha, plus...I think Oji-san knows anyway."
"Huh?" said Sakura and Sasuke
"Last night when I was resting from my fight against the Kumo kunoichi with the nice ass." Said Naruto, earning a sweatdrop from his teammates after hearing that unnecessary detail. "I thought I smelt Anko while I was alseep, she always smell of sweet honey from the dangos she likes to eat. Anyway, if Anko was there in the forest of death then she knows about Orochimaru, and so she must've told him about it."
"Then it's inevitable" said Sasuke cursing under his breath for he knows that the old man will take him out of the exams.
"No he can't" said Naruto with a frown.
"What do you mean"
"Think about it, if Orochimaru is here for Sasuke and HOPED that he survived the cursered seal. Then it is possible that he wants the teme for something."
"Why? What would he possible want from Sasuke?" said Sakura
Naruto and Sasuke gave each other a concerning look, for the question is obvious.
"What the Uchiha is famous for" said Naruto "The Sharingan."
"And considering that am one of the surviving members of the Uchiha, I am clearly his primary target." Said Sasuke
"But that still doesn't tell us why the Hokage wouldn't take Sasuke off the exams if he is in danger." Said Sakura
"It's not the matter of won't, Sakura" said Naruto "He can't take Sasuke off the exams."
"Why?" said Sakura
"Because if Orochimaru is interested in the teme, then he would possible want Sasuke to partake the exams, to oversee his strength and worth as the last Uchiha. And if Oji-san takes him off, who knows what that snake can do if he does."
Sakura gasp by this, was Naruto implying that Orochimaru has held Konoha hostage until his demands are met, to observe Sasuke during the exams. Sasuke is feeling uneasy by this, but it does somewhat help the fact that he will remain on the exams...if he ever passes this second part first.
"Then we best not disappoint the old snake then" said Sasuke as he stands up and dust off the dirt off his clothes. Suddenly he collapses on his knees. "We might as well rest a bit first"
"Hai" said Naruto as he leans back on the trees. "We've got enough time on the exams"
"And both scrolls?" said Sasuke
"Hai" said Naruto "a fine donation from that Kumo babe with the fine ass, and if I she also pass, I might ask her for her name."
"Sure you will" said Sasuke as he leans back and stares back at the leafy canopy. "A pervert like you, always does."
"Well maybe you should focus on having a relationship with a girl and MAYBE restore your clan you've been boasting about." Said Naruto in retort when the Uchih calls him a pervert.
"Hn" said Sasuke with irritation.
Naruto suddenly falls asleep and so does Sasuke, leaving Sakura, And surprisingly Tenten and Neji alone in the area.
"Did...did they forget that we're still here?" said Neji
"Don't worry about it" said Sakura waving it off. "At least things are now back to normal."
"Normal? I seriously dou...Tenten, what are you doing?"
Neji suddenly noticed his teammate Tenten snuggling by a sleeping Naruto's side.
"What? I'm also tired and it's best that we stay warm together."
"Tenten, it's now noon and in the middle of summer" said Neji with a deadpan expression. "You just want to be with Naruto."
"Well if I wasn't blue balled by a celibate prick of a Hyuga, a slave-driver of a Sensei and a competitive powerhouse known as Lee, maybe I might have a chance to date someone as hot AND cute like Naruto" said Tenten with a pout and frown while she snuggled deep into Naruto while putting his arm around her. "And besides, fate is already your bitch"
Neji frowned at Tenten for mocking fate, but decided not to argue back.
"Fine, but until Lee is able, WE are leaving." Said Neji
"Fine with me" said Tenten before resting her head on Naruto and let's his sweet smell lull her to sleep with a smile.
Neji scoffs at this and sits down silently and waits paitently for his team to be ready themselves. Only he and Sakura are alone and the air of awkwardness lingers on between them. Sakura wanted to cut this stifling silence but she knows better to speak at other prodigy.
Besides, she is feeling tired herself.
Meanwhile
"Damn it!"
Somewhere near tower, Kurotsuchi is enraged. Sure her team easily got the second scroll needed to pass the exams but her main mission to kill Naruto remains ongoing. She has searched everywhere in this forest for Naruto and still he eludes her. Her anger has caused the ground beneath her feet to singe and smoke smoulders from the cracks. Deidara and Akatsuchi are becoming nervous around the Tsuchikage's granddaughter as the constant failures are getting to her.
"How is it so hard to find one blonde bastard? Exclaimed Kurotsuchi, Deidara nonchalantly coughs out but she is aware of it. "Not you, you blonde bastard."
"Not what I meant, but wouldn't it be wise for us to, you know...pass this exam?" said Deidara rhetorically to his teammate. "Sure, the Namikaze bastard needs to pay for the thousands of our fellow Iwa, but this is getting out of hand now. I'm sure the old man would understand that..."
"Do you want to die, Deidara?" said Kurotsuchi "Are you aware of the power Oji-san is capable if we tell him that we failed to avange Iwa?"
Deidara suddenly lost the colour of his skin by this, so does Akatsuchi.
"18 years, Iwa has suffered not only from the war, but with great shame and defeat by those Konoha fucks, all thanks to their Hero Yellow Flash." Said Kurotsuchi "And one of those among the fall is the Tsuchikage's own son, MY father for who I never had the chance to meet while I was born."
Kurotsuchi then turns to Deidara, walk towards him and grabs him by the hem of his iwa flak jacket.
"So if we go and decide that we failed to kill that son of a bitch, it will bring shame to Iwa once more, as it means that another Namikaze defeated us AGAIN." Said Kurotsuchi "We've plenty of time before his part of the exam expires. You can stay by the tower and wait until I regroup, until then, I will find that bastard and KILL HIM."
"H-Hai, sure" said Deidara before turning to Akatsuchi "What do you say, big guy? Wanna wait by the tower?"
Akatsuchi said nothing but nods as he joins the blonde iwa bomber to leave for the forest tower. Kurotsuchi scoffs at this and remains standing.
"What a bunch of pussies, no pride in their bones whatsoever." Said Kurotsuchi while scoffing at her teammates.
But as she is in the midst of criticising her comrades, she is immediately surrounded by a couple of konoha teams, who apparently formed a truce so that they can deal with the only Iwa team and earn a reputation for taking them down and preventing their passing of the exams. Kurotsuchi shifts her eyes at these Konoha ninja and scoffs at them.
"What a blood surprise, Konoha's potential coming here to pick on poor me" said Kurotsuchi. "What?" you think you have enough to take me on?"
"We are not taking any chances, Iwa scum!" said one of the Konoha ninja while the others pull out their weapons. "I don't know how you got here to partake the exams since we are still enemies, but we'll be damned if we let you pass this part. So surrender the scrolls to us, admit your defeat and leave Konoha immediately."
Kurotsuchi frowns at the ninjas, displaying such prejudice at her just bbecause she is from Iwa, and the feeling is mutral for she is a proud Iwa kunoichi and daughter of the Tsuchikage.
"You think that I, a proud Iwa ninja would be intimidated by a bunch of cowardly Konoha bigots who would go and attack the son of your Yondaime?" said Kurotsuchi
"What the hell are on about? The Yondaime has no son."
"Oh really, then why is there a younger and (I hate to admit) handsomer version of him living amongst you while you treat him like a pariah?" said Kurotsuchi "You know what, I don't care if you treat him like a saint or a demon, he's going to die regardless. And you lot..."
Suddenly the ground beneath everyone's feet starts to heat up and lava starts to spew out, this caught everyone by surprise but before they could flee, they failed to realise that they are completely trapped in the inferno as the trees around them starts to burn and cover the perimetre with a wall of flames. The konoha ambushers are panicking while one by one they get caught in the spewing lava from the ground and starts burning in an instant.
"...will die knowing why I am called Kurotsuchi"
Kurotsuchi watches as her hated enemies burn by the flames and the molten lava, the reason she is calm is because she is the one who is doing this. Not everyone in Konoha has the knowledge and legacy of possessing a Magma Style kekkei genkai, such as Kurotsuchi. So is named for the earth beneath her turning black from the spewing lava which engulf her enemies.
"Just you wait, Namikaze" said Kurotsuchi while she now stands in the middle of a tall rock in the middle of a small lake of lava, when now charred submerged ex-konoha genin on the display like ebony statue each with their pose of burning agony. "I will snuff out that light which your damn father left behind."
