It starts out with one assassin in the Prince's bedchambers. Now, something has gone horribly wrong. Merlin and Arthur seem to be aging at a fast rate. He begins to withdraw into himself, closing himself off from others, being a quiet normal servant, and nobody can stand it. So Magic takes things into its own hands.
